This place is definitely worth a look, especially if you like well balanced craft cocktails, sorry beer drinkers. If you don't know what you want, tell the bartender your likes, taste wise and spirit wise, and something will be prepared for you! They have munchies, but best to make dinner plans elsewhere. However, if you want a great before or after dinner cocktail, this is the place!!! Definitely worth a visit!!!

Drinks were absolutely awesome and worth the price. Bartenders were cool and always moving and on top of things, will definitely come back. This is now one of my regular places. I hadn't been back for awhile and they still remembered me.

New Favourite Phoenix Bar. HighBall bar is luxurious, inviting, engaging, delicious, and most importantly brilliant cocktails. Mitch and Casey were amazing, going above and beyond to make our night there unforgettable. I can't recommend this bar enough, it won't disappoint on any level.

Good beer food. Good atmosphere. It was so busy for mother's day!! but even that Josh was so nice and attentive with us and serving faster. I loved its bar area. Good cocktails 🍸. I will back with my family again.

Upon entering the door, I was greeted with excellent customer service and was sat at the bar. Rob, the bartender crafted two incredible cocktails. This bartender is a true artisan and very gifted in his industry. The cocktail pictured is called “Pink Your Poison” and it was absolutely fantastic. He then made me a “White Lotus” and it was the most aromatic and divine tasting cocktail I’ve ever had. This might be because I recently had several terribly crafted cocktails at a five star resort in Florida and have been pining for a bartender who knew what they were doing. Nonetheless, this place is an excellent choice for anyone in their 30s looking for a chill atmosphere and service from people who know how to provide service! Love it and I highly recommend a visit :) PS the pimento cheese dip and chips are delicious.

Amazing atmosphere, staff and drinks. Definitely a great experience if you're in Arizona. Plus the menu changes with all new drinks a couple times a year. Definitely recommend. (This used to be the Sidebar that closed over covid. They did a great remodel and kept the great ambience I felt before.)🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The best cocktail bar in Phoenix! Intimate ambiance relaxing atmosphere. Drinks are unique and service is excellent! Watching the drinks being made is truly an art! Hats off to the mixologist!

It was my first time at Highball and not sure what to expect other than reading the reviews online and looking at previous photos. This place is a home run in my opinion. Mitch the bartender was amazing. Only a couple people at the bar yet still had time to build a rapport with me which I think is super important in that industry. If you’re looking for a cocktail lounge than look no further. Beautiful decor and even better bar. This place has it all to be honest. I will absolutely be back to try some more of their cocktails.

The drinks here are unique, well balanced, and delicious. I loved the white lotus and the leave only footprints. I do wish they had more vegetarian food choices and a dessert or two. A friend ordered the pimento cheese dip, which I thought was good. Service was quick and nice. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate- great for date night.

This place is absolutely amazing! The bartenders (Jimmy, Libby, Sydney, and Mitch) were great to be around and their drinks are so delicious. The vibes to this place so low-key, fun, and the black leather couches make this place perfect for date night or after dinner drinks. It’s on the second floor next to the Pei Wei and Starbucks. You can park in the back and walk around to the front of the building. The inside is super cute and dim. Candlelight and dim-lit chandeliers make this a great place to catch up with friends or have a date. Would highly recommend!!

Hands down my fave and go to cocktail bar in the valley! Everything about it from the ambiance to the service and the drinks are just absolutely amazing. Been here several times and I keep coming back.

Enjoyed this place for a drinks. Prices are fairly high, but great atmosphere, drinks were delicious, and friendly staff. Definitely plan to return. The vibe is definitely different from the former bar that used to occupy this location (SideBar)

What a fun lil spot in downtown phoenix with parking AND great drinks with an intimate setting. I've been here a few times but most recently with some friends 🧡. We each got a drink, and we shared popcorn and chips with pimento cheese. My drink, Spice of Life, was a tequila based spicy drink. The flavor was masterfully balanced. My big 🧊 iceberg in my drink kept it from getting watered down. My bestie doesn't drink and has allergies and they made her a beautiful dragon fruit based mocktail. My other friend had a rum and coconut based drink. Alll in all, I would recommend trying this place out. Especially if you like really sexy spaces.

Drinks and service were amazing, much needed after a long stressful work week! The bartender nailed the recommendation for both drinks! We even got to be the first to open the Henry McKenna bottle, as I'd never had it! Looking forward to next time!

Make sure you ask for Mitch the GM. "The Tequila Snobs" Suggest you visit here. Fortaleza, G4, El Tesoro, and a few hidden gems are offered here. Quality 5⭐️ gourmet bar food. Vibe is relax and customer service is top notch. Cocktail (not my thing) high end...experience cocktail specialist. If you are in Az don't miss this place.

I hate to make this place any harder to make a reservation than it is, but... Highball is the model benchmark for a top of the class cocktail joint, be you in Phoenix, LA, NY, London, or anywhere else in the world. Absolutely delicious and highly inventive drinks combined with the most knowledgeable and friendly service (from every single staff member). I could write a lot about what my group of four ordered, but the menu is likely to change, so just go in and let your servers suggest to your taste's interests. Add in the great vibes, and Highball is on all of our lists for top cocktail bars... globally.

One of the best speakeasies I have ever been to. The owners/bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and attentive. The drinks are amazing and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend anyone visiting Phoenix to make a stop here!

Went here for the first time this weekend and it was awesome! The staff were so helpful and friendly and the drinks were sooo good. I had pink your poison and leave only footprints. I definitely recommend coming here and I will be back!

Wonderful little speakeasy. The service is wonderful and the drinks are fantastic. I highly recommend the Disco Panda (it sounds a little different but may be one of the better cocktails I have ever had).

Mitch always offers a great experience and amazing drinks! His knowledge of whiskey always comes through with his suggestions. Can't wait to be back

Came here for Valentine’s Day after doing a reservation online at least 5 days before Valentine’s Day (highly recommended). I love speak easy bars that has their own style and mixed cocktails. Bunch of selections in their menu, including awesome bar foods. It’s abit pricey, but that’s how it is in speak easy places. Highly recommended !

We really enjoyed our ladies night here! The service was great from walking in to getting wonderful drinks all evening from Rob. They went above and beyond to make everything perfectly. Can’t wait to go back.

Highball is up there with some of the better cocktail bars in the valley like undertow and bitter & twisted. Less experimental/theatrical than those others and more speakeasy style but the drinks are very tasty and a bit cheaper. Worth return visits.

Mitch is one of the best mixologists I’ve met in a while! I love his knowledge and he was so helpful when my husband and I came in indecisive. The atmosphere is a vibe and his general know-how made it even better. Ben&Jerry’s chunky monkey I’ve cream was always a child fav of mine and to have a crafted a cocktail on the menu specifically for it was a pleasant surprise for the evening. I could literally drink it in a pint glass. The rest of the staff were so kind and helpful. Will definitely return!

Almost lost hope in the perfect cocktail spot…until. Highball! Mitch was fantastic. Staff was welcoming and embracing. The bar is dark, candle lit and elusive. Perfect solo or date night. Went there today for our department holiday celebration. Such an amazing place! The drinks and snacks were so good! We had an activity where they taught us how to make some of the drinks. The staff working was great! It was a perfect afternoon! Excellent spot and I loved the look and the vibe as well!

As someone who has worked in the industry, this is the place we all go on our night off. At dinner, ask your servers, ask your bartenders, they'll all tell you that if you want an amazing cocktail experience, Highball does not disappoint. There are *maybe* a handful of other bars in the valley that consistently deliver like this.

Easily one of the best bars in the entire country. We had 3 drinks that were among the best we’ve ever had- Crazy Never Dies (like a fruity, barrel aged Mai tai), Disco Panda, and Land of Mountains. Creative specs that are completely dialed in and expertly crafted. Service was friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is typical moody cocktail bar. We also had the elote popcorn which was a huge hit. This place is a must visit if you’re in PHX, super jealous of everyone who lives nearby.

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Highball on our anniversary. The staff went above and beyond anything that we could have expected. They created a custom cocktail for my wife that she is still talking about weeks later. The cocktails are so complex and amazing; and while the music was a bit too loud for my taste, the atmosphere is still sophisticated and intimate. Do yourself a favor and google Mitch Lyons and Libby Lingua. You'll see that they have had a hand in creating some of the best cocktail menus all across the valley, and they certainly don't hold back when it comes to Highball. We will definitely be coming back.

Atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a midtown cocktail bar, nice downtempo music, dimly lit, fragrances to spark the imagination. Tge Back bar looked stellar but i went for the cocktail menu. Two perfectly balanced tequila coctails. The first was the Tokyo Drift, second name is escaping me. Hostess was great on first drink orders but after that, a little less attentive than desired. The elote flavored popcorn was stale and will be a hard pass on future trips. In their defense, i dont think Highball handles the food. Will definitely go back.

bartender was nice but contradictory... she knew the menu like the back of her hand, which was pretty amazing. however, when asked if she could make a simple chocolate martini, she said no (even though she said she had an open bar...)

Drinks can be a little pricey, but they are complex, delicious, and satisfying and there are alternatives. Atmosphere is cool, both temperature and vibe. Good music that isn’t overwhelming; comfortable, classy seating; intimate, great for meeting someone or a date.
