We went for dinner tonight and it was excellent. The food was delicious and the service was great! The parking is a little tight, but it’s worth it! We had 3 appetizers that were delicious and rate them in this order: mushroom pate crostino, potato croquettes and wax beans with burrata. For entrees we had the Campanelle and Chicken Milanese and again very delicious! For dessert we had the warm doughnuts and espresso torte with night owl espresso martini! The atmosphere was welcoming and very clean. Will definitely be going back to this hidden gem in the outskirts of pine bush!! Three thumbs up! 👍👍👍
If you have the opportunity to go here, GO! This place is a hidden gem and one of the more memorable dinners we’ve had in a while. The space itself is exactly what we were looking for, a cozy, intimate space, but really well designed and some cool design elements. The food was excellent and we were savoring every bite. My husband got the burger and I got the marinated olives and ricotta toast. We left full. And most importantly, the staff was so hospitable, warm and inviting. We went late on a snowy Saturday night (post snowmageddon) and lucked out that it wasn’t too busy and was precisely the cozy Hudson Valley experience we were looking for. Thank you thank you for an excellent evening!
Incredible experience, the brussel sprouts are insane. The Free-Range 'Hot' Chicken Milanese may be the best chicken cutlet in the hudson valley. Coated in hot honey, topped with a vibrant chicory salad that tossed in their ranch topped with chives. Freshly made Doughnuts and Gelato and dont have to explain any further. Live changing stuff here, great people doing it.
Amazing dining experience! Our server Emory was fabulous, super knowledgeable about the food and so welcoming. We started with the mushroom crostini and tuna crudo. This was hands down the best crudo I’ve ever had. Portions were large and flavor was unreal. My husband got the pork and I had the hot chicken 10/10. We both agreed this was the best restaurant meal we’ve had. We will be back soon!!
The owner and chef, Jared, personally welcomed us and made us feel comfortable. All the dishes were delicious. The bartender, Abby was fantastic as well!!! We’ll definitely be back with more friends.
Let me first start by saying that this place is a hidden gem in the mountains of upstate New York. The interior is cute and reminds you of an old farmhouse, The wait staff is friendly and attentive with great recommendations and phenomenal service. The food is delicious! It is fresh. It is creative. It is exciting. This is one of my new favorite restaurants in the upstate New York region. I called to ask when their dining room was closing, they informed me that it was due to close at 9:45. I told them I would be arriving at 9:43 and they said come in we will gladly take care of you. Before arrival they called back to ask if we were still on our way which I thought was such a caring and thoughtful gesture. As we arrived the staff was so warm and welcoming! Our server was named Emory, she had great recommendations, knowledge of the menu and was incredibly nice! Such a great experience here! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!
This was unbelievable from start to finish. Amazing cocktails and staff, but the food was exceptional. The waitress called us by name for the entirety of dinner, and you can tell the chef puts soul and heart into each dish. Not to mention the amazingly fresh ingredients for every dish. Truly farm to table. We were honestly and fully blown away! Cannot recommend enough! Honorable mentions to the upstate curious cocktail, the fried dates, shaved celery salad, and hot chicken milanese. 10/10!
The food was delicious and I enjoyed the garnishes...made everything look super fancy! Our waitress, Ashley, was on point. I really enjoyed the mushroom pate....yummm. The portion size was so big I couldn't eat most of my main course, the steel head trout (also delicious). For desert we loved the donuts! (Shout out to Dustin 😁) I cannot wait to eat my leftovers tomorrow! I highly recommend One With Land to anyone who wants a delicious and unique experience!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One With Land (OWL) – Pine Bush, NY We had a fantastic dinner with my wife and great friends. From the moment we walked in, the place felt special—amazing space with a warm, cozy atmosphere that’s both family-friendly and has a cool, romantic vibe at the same time. Our waitress, Emory, was absolutely wonderful—polite, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She made excellent menu recommendations and was attentive throughout the entire evening. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The pork chop was incredibly tender, flavorful, and filling, and the chicken Milanese was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. You can really taste the care and quality that comes from their farm-to-table approach and locally sourced ingredients. It’s clear that One With Land truly honors the Hudson Valley with creative, seasonal New American cuisine in a thoughtfully designed space. Highly recommend this restaurant—we’ll definitely be back!
One With Land was a total surprise! Don't let the rustic red barn exterior fool you; the inside is incredibly unique, refined, and cozy. Everything we ordered was excellently crafted and presented with artistic flair. The drinks were perfect, but the absolute standout for us was the Brussels sprouts. If you are looking for a hidden gem with high-quality food and a warm atmosphere, this is the spot.
Enjoyed a Birthday dinner here recently with my daughter and granddaughter. It is truly a little country tavern. Not many of those left. It reminded me of one called The Barn that was located in Wyckoff NJ many years ago. Love the simplicity of the menu and the attention to the customers that seem to go hand in hand with a country outpost. The servers were kind and helpful, plus efficient. The food was delicious, including desserts. We were perhaps one of 3 tables when we arrived and by the time we left the parking spots were all taken and people were waiting to be seated. Popular! Am looking forward to a second visit. "This must be the place." 😋
We spent two nights this weekend at an Airbnb nearby and ate here twice - cancelling reservation already made elsewhere on our second night. Start with either crostini with mushroom pate or ricotta - both delicious. Their brussel sprouts are some of the best we have ever had. Their squash and trout are both excellent. And so was their west coast IPA on tap. Excellent service. Reservation a must for weekends.
OMG! One with Land’s food is simply awesome! We stopped in on a Sunday for a quick bite and were completely blown away by the food. I’m. Formally not a big fan of beets, but their Roasted Beet Salad on Pistachio yogurt was out of this world. The burger was devine too! I highly recommend stopping in and experiencing this chef’s incredible dishes!
This place is a must! Everything from the food to the service was incredible! Emery our waitress was attentive and helpful. We loved all the food, especially the oysters and toast. However, what really stood out was the ribs and cake, which I’ll be dreaming about. Even the French press coffee was made perfectly and the best accompaniment to the best dessert! We will definitely be coming back. Everyone was so lovely.
Discovered this restaurant after hiking at Sam’s point. A simple and cozy decor. Quite busy even after 8pm, glad we made a reservation. The food is delicate and delicious. Really enjoyed the spicy anchovy crostini, the fresh herbs and seasonings perfectly complement the anchovy and the sour dough bread is fresh. My trout was crispy on the skin and juicy inside. Love the fresh shaved fennel with pistachios, light and refreshing. The burger is great, the only flaw is the fries are too dark. The frying oil is due for a change. Emory’s service and recommendations are amazing. Ended the night with the espresso chocolate torte, the sea salt gives an extra layer of the flourless cake that you can taste both chocolate and espresso that not too sweet.
We really enjoyed our first dinner at One With Land. We met a couple there that had been a couple of times already. They recommended some dishes to us. They were all spot on. Each dish was full of flavors and perfect for sharing. We enjoyed the beet dish, cabbage dish, lamb ribs and the mushroom pâté. We shared the steelhead trout as our entree. All in all we had so much food that we had to take some of it home. Emory was our server and for only having worked there less than a week, she was great! She guided us through the menu and if she didn’t know something she came back right away. She is a great asset to this dining establishment.
The new owner's have taken the space and transformed it into their own. Gone are the dark walls and many owls. The light grey brightens the place up and makes you feel at home especially if you sit in the lounge in front of the fireplace with a cocktail, or glass of wine. They use locally sourced ingredients and put so much dedication and love into the food. Service is great always trying to make sure everyone has what they need and want. This is exactly what pine bush needed.
Great spot in the area! Everything we ordered was very tasty. To start, we had the spicy anchovy crostini, duck fat dates, yellowfin tuna crudo and celery salad. For mains, we got the hot chicken Milanese, ragu fusilli and pork chop. All delicious. The pork chop was surprisingly tender bc most times pork is overcooked and too dry but this was well executed and juicy! Would recommend for sure.
I’ve been coming here since the hoot owl days and I will say the new owners/ chef have outdone themselves. This is the best food I’ve had here since coming; particularly the Brussels. Our server Emory was very personable and nice. Overall it made for an amazing family night out with all of us. Will definitely return.
The service was slow, and it took quite a while for our food to arrive. Overall, the food tasted good. Unfortunately, there were a few service issues. Our string beans were placed on the table with half of them hanging off the plate onto the table, which felt careless. Additionally, when I pointed out that the toasted bread served with the anchovy was burned, about 80% black on the bottom, meanwhile the waitress, Ashley, insisted it was “just charred.” I chose not to argue, but the response felt dismissive rather than attentive. I hope the restaurant can improve both service attentiveness and how feedback is handled.
UPDATE: I updated this review from 2 to 3 stars because the owner called me and was very professional, comped the fish, and wants to do whatever possible to make things right. I’m going to stand by my review, because it is accurate, but I will say that I think our experience was an anomaly, as everyone else there received great service. This seems like a nice restaurant but we just had an off experience. /// We expected Saturday night to be busy, but our experience this evening was pretty tough. Our waitress seemed hyper focused on a large group that was coming in. We were just a party of 2 but the larger group (8?) received far more attention. I’m pretty sure she forgot to put our first drink order in (just 2 beers) because when she came to take our dinner order and I asked about the beer she went to the bar tender and seemed to have a rather harried conversation, and we received the drinks shortly after. The one appetizer came out reasonably soon. The mains took forever. My halibut dish was a substitution because they ran out of the tile fish. I was so looking forward to this dinner, but the flavors just didn’t go together. The halibut was very salty, and the sauce they paired it with was really sweet, the shishito peppers were good, the crab was also very sweet. The dish was just incongruent and I couldn’t finish it, even though I was very hungry. By the time our mains arrived we had also been waiting 20 min for our second drink (just beer again). We had to flag down a different waiter because ours was MIA since taking our dinner orders (while waiting hand and foot to the 8-top), didn’t ask us how the food was (for apps or dinner). Turns out she had forgotten to put our second drink order in (this was now 30+ min after the fact). At this point we just cut our losses, paid the bill and left. It was such a shame because we would have kept ordering, probably doubling our bill, but the service was so poor. The tables next to us were having entirely different experiences and their waiters were attentive. The (one lone) poor bar tender tried to explain that they were short 2 people, but that didn’t stop them from seating walk ins, while we (with a reservation) received terrible service. If you are short staffed it is necessary to make adjustments in order to deliver proper service to your customers. Also the parking situation is inadequate. For me, this place was just overrated and I wish we had gone somewhere else.
