I can confidently recommend everything on the menu! It’s one of our favorite restaurants in the Hudson valley

The chef has an amazing ability to combine interesting flavors, to create wholly original dishes that are unexpected without feeling forced. From the simplest greens or pasta, to more complex meats, each dish is a standout. And then there’s desserts—-all homemade and scrumptious.

My wife and I were staying at Wildflower Farms (about ten minutes away) and went to OWL on their recommendation. Like everything else at Wildflower, they were spot on. This is a small, intimate and delightful restaurant. OWL was packed but the staff greeted us warmly and we got to our table quickly. Soft wall tones, simple and clean decor without it seeming spartan. There’s a really nice “lounge” with comfortable seating and a fireplace The dining room tables are close, but there’s still an air of modest privacy. Our apps were great (NJ oysters, don’t laugh, the chef has a connection) and mushroom pate was outstanding. These are simple dishes done well, really good in house bread with a not overbearing mushroom blend. Fresh oysters with a great brine/butter balance. Our mains - perfectly prepared pastas without fussiness or an “ingenious take.” Complex flavors done right. Service - this is an all hands on deck operation. We had a very competent server who made sure all was right. No hovering, no interruptions. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who had a moment to share the genesis of OWL. It’s a real labor of food industry story. Hard work, ambition, transitions, and a vision of what this team wanted to accomplish. For us, they are hitting the mark. Listen, this place won’t be for everyone but we had a perfect evening. There’s no doubt that if we’re in the area we’ll be back.

Super great local restaurant. Fine dining ethic, with casual upscale cafe vibes. Restaurant Week prie fixe menu allowed our group of four to try virtually everything on the menu, pastas, salads, veggie sides, desserts-all were excellent and delicious. Reasonable prices, for way skillfully prepared and beautiful dining.

Had an incredible dinner at One with Land on 6/27. We sat at the bar and enjoyed delicious cocktails while dining. The mushroom pate was one of the best small plates I have experienced this year. The duck fat fried dates were awesome as well. Lamb ribs were incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. Grilled swordfish was light, cooked perfectly and the braised leeks were a perfect pair with the fish. The pork chop was the show-stopper paired with charred greens and apricot....still thinking about this dish. Olive oil cake was so moist and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, was an incredible dining experience that paired incredible food with warm hospitality. Bravo! Cannot wait to return.

This is the upgrade we didn't know we needed!! The food was incredible, the staff was kind and attentive and the owner and his wife are super nice and came out to talk to everyone as their dishes came out to ensure everyone was happy with their choices! Not to mention, the place was packed! Thee best Pork Chop i've ever had and the celery salad was unreal. You will not be disappointed. The chef is fantastic.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The lamb was absolutely delicious — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was just as impressive. Emory took great care of us, was super friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality food and top-notch service! The bartender also deserves a shoutout — the drink was perfect, well-balanced, and really hit the spot. Great food, great service, and a great vibe all around. Highly recommend!

What a phenomenal restaurant! Wonderful service in a cozy environment with absolutely delicious food. We had a fantastic meal from start to finish. The celery salad was amazing and the steelhead trout was outstanding. Both were absolute winners. But the hands down star was the epic pork chops - the best I have ever had anywhere. I may never eat pork chops again because none will compare. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this restaurant!

LOVED IT!! Had dinner tonight! . I had the pork chops and my friend had the cavetilli pasta. Both dishes were delicious ! Dates appetizer was amazing! Staff were friendly and personable. Great atmosphere, cant wait to go back!

My wife and I have been all over the world and lived in NYC for over 15 years where we went to some of the finest restaurants in the world. In all honesty, One With Land was a top 3 dinner in our lifetime for both of us. Every single item we had was unbelievable and way beyond what we would have expected. We stayed at the nearby Wildflower Farms resort which is how we ended up here for dinner. However, we live 90 minutes away and I would still strongly consider coming again all the way from our home - that's how awesome the experience was. When we got the bill, I felt like it should have been at least double the price of what is actually was - in fact I would have been more than willing to pay double and would have still thought it was a steal. Find a reason to get to One with Land!

This was a near brilliant culinary experience. We couldn’t help ourselves from overeating. Just wanted to try everything! The fried olives with goat cheese was off the hook and the deviled eggs were a great supporting character. The spicy lamb meatballs were great and the curry butternut squash soup a blended surprise. If you want to take it to the next level, drop a meatball in the soup and drool! The chicken curry, lamb burger, and pulled pork were enjoyable and the chocolate brownie with vanilla rose water ice cream sent us home in a happy coma! And don’t forget a craft cocktail, perfect compliment. Can’t wait to go back, hopefully next week!

I live in NYC but am in the New Paltz area often. This has to be the best restaurant I've eaten at in months, including in the city. The Chef Jared can cook! And the cocktail program is great also. Visiting upstate for the first time? Skip Wildflower and head to One With Land -- it's much better on all fronts -- and a bargain.

One with Land delivers an unforgettable dining experience. The food is exquisite—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, making you feel genuinely cared for. With its cozy, stylish ambiance and a menu that hits every mark, this spot is an absolute must-visit. My favorite(s) are Eastside Sour (Drink), Rigatoni, Trout and Olive oil cake.

Couldn’t say enough good things about my experience! The food and drinks were incredible- blood orange spicy marg, market lettuces, mushroom pate crostini, and pork chop are a MUST. Not only was the food incredible but the staff are so sweet and knowledgeable. The chef even came out to personally meet us! Can’t wait to come back and try the lamb it looked (and smelled) amazing

EASILY one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. It practically changed the way I view dining. The fettuccine and the lamb ribs complimented each other perfectly. There is quite literally nothing I would change. The Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta was delicious too! Our waitress Emery made the experience so much more personal by asking our names and learning more about us! She is incredible and we would love to see her again someday. Overall, my girlfriend and I loved it, and it will absolutely be a staple of future milestones. One With Land, you have absolutely won our hearts. We don’t even write google reviews!

I can't say enough good things about our experience at the hoot owl. We ordered a bunch of small plates and 2 entrées, and split the rice pudding, which was amazing. Each dish perfectly cooked, delicious, presented and served expeditiously, and priced just right. The host and servers were attentive, responsive, kind, and welcoming. Highly recommended!

If my phone wasn't dying I'd add pictures. It's a cozy and inviting place. The owners are incredibly friendly and the two barkeeps I met are awesome. The decor is great and the beer selection is great as well. They also make cool drinks. The food is to die for, the chicken curry is out of this world. I wish this place was closer but my lady and I will definitely be back.

We had the short rib fettuccine and the burger and both were phenomenal. Cocktails were creative and delicious and the doughnuts with nutella were a perfect way to finish a great meal. We're so happy to have this gem around the corner from home. 🍴

Our family had dinner at One With Land and the food was spectacular!!!!. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and its nuances. Appetizers, dinner, dessert were all delicious and hot….meaning when the food got to the table it was not lukewarm it was fresh and piping hot from the kitchen. Amazing dinner experience, it’s a MUST to dine there. I want to give 10 ⭐️ stars!!!

We were a party of 4 and ordered 3 dishes to all share and had 4 main larger meals. EVERYTHING was SPECTACULAR!!!! The flavors were so original and exciting. The portions were large enough to share. The service was great. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. We can’t wait to return! A fabulous dining experience!

Have not been there since the pandemic but hands down the food is just as good as the last time we were there. Hands down the best burger in the area “Hoot owl burger”..a must have. Wine list***. Plus fantastic vegan and gluten free meals!

Very friendly staff, quite clean, indoor, outdoor dinning and bar, live music that isn't too loud and most importantly great food. There are vegetarian options but plenty of meat items as well. They are happy to take reservations.

The food was amazing. We had 2 appetizers, 2 meals, 2 wines and 2 old fashions, oh and dessert. EVERYTHING was off the chart!! We hiked today and then I googled "food near me" and boy did we get lucky!!

This restaurant never disappoints! Cozy Hudson Valley atmosphere meets NYC food. If you enjoy the vegetables on your plate as much as the main or AS the main, you’re in the right place. The dining room is always packed, so be sure to make a reservation or snag a seat at the bar. Come hungry, order the blood orange margarita and save room for dessert. Grandma’s olive oil cake is the perfect pair with your morning coffee.

Everything we had here was amazing!! The mushroom pate was the best thing we had, but it is the type of place where you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! Tara, the owner, and all the staff were so nice, warm, and welcoming! I highly recommend coming here.

What a hidden little gem in the Hudson Valley. The farm to table cuisine is awesome, the service is warm and welcoming, and the drinks aren’t bad either 😋. We had a Bolognese with short rib, the brussels sprouts, and don’t leave without eating the olive oil cake. Incredible.

Make reservations! OWL knows what they’re doing with food. One of the few truly well executed menus around. Cocktails and food are excellent. Quality food in the (seemingly) middle of nowhere.

We were looking for a new place go eat in the area and came across the reviews for this place. The food here was absolutely phenomenal! Absolutely love the idea of Indian and American food coming together in one place! Best part is it had a kids menu too, so we didn't have to wait for a day for someone to watch my son! (I admittedly ate some of his chicken fingers too, and they were really tasty!) For appetizer we had the halloumi, a fried cheese that was paired with a peach tamarind! For dinner I had to try the antelope steak and wow was it delicious! The antelope was rubbed with mushroom, and perfectly seared and cooked medium, medium rare. The creamy polenta and grilled vegetables that came with it were phenomenal. Definitely a substantial meal that does not hit the gut too hard as the meat is very lean, but very tasty! My wife had the seared ahi tuna, which had a coconut broth of sorts. I did not get a taste, but it was a very nice portion of tuna, and she said it was delicious! Overall I'm extremely pleased with this find! I did not get any alcohol this time around, but the beverage list had a lot of nice sounding cocktails and they even have some Remy Martin cognac on the desert menu! We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

This place was amazing. The chef and his wife are super nice and friendly, the chef came to meet us at the table and was so nice talking to him. The food is so fresh and delicious, amazing recipes executed with simplicity. We had the mushroom pate crostini (ordered twice), grilled cabbage, the crest salad with walnuts and honey vinegrete (so fresh and delicious), the lamp ribs with yogurt, the pork chops with kale. It was so good! We'll be back as soon as we can.

My wife and I had dinner here last night and it was awesome. Busy night but the staff was super on top of everything. The halibut with corn purée + shishito peppers was amazing, and the dessert cocktails were great too. Our second time here and definitely not the last.

LOVE!!! So glad I live around the corner from this gem! To be honest, I was sad when Hoot Owl was no more but pleasantly surprised by One With Land. Delicious food and I especially loved when the chef came out to introduce himself to each guest. He even told us how he created what we ordered. He’s obviously passionate about the industry! Along with the lamb ribs, I had the delectable olive oil cake served with a side of figs. Being from a foodie city, it can be hard to find decent food in this area but man did they knocked it out of the park! Can’t wait to go back!

This place is so worth the journey! If you are remotely in the area, make a resy. We happened upon it searching google maps and have been back 3 times since July. The staff is lovely, the chef is amazing and it’s a new staple in our weekend adventures upstate.

We love this place! The food is amazing. Judging by the building we didn't expect much, but how pleasantly surprised we were to try the amazing food. After we ate we moved from the table to the bar where we chatted with the staff. We felt like family immediately. The bartender told us that her band would be playing the following weekend, so we returned for our second visit. This place will definitely be a regular spot for us.

Had the pleasure of working with Jared to plan for a dinner following my engagement this past weekend. I couldn’t have been happier to have come across this restaurant in my searches - absolutely every dish was great from start to finish. Most of our local guests (myself included) were talking about coming back before we walked out the door.

This restaurant is a smallish place with an old tavern feel, serving a mix of American and Indian cuisine. Next time I'll have to try the curry, but this time I got the friend chicken over collard greens and mashed potatoes. The chicken was very well-made, with a nice crispy batter and juicy chicken. The collard greens were absolutely delicious and tasted almost like they were caramelized. Finally we got funnel cake topped with pears for dessert (since pears were in season at the time), and it was quite a creative dessert that was absolutely delicious. I definitely plan to go back here again, especially given how nice the staff were, always checking up on us and telling us about the motivation behind their newer menu additions.

This was the BEST MEAL we've had in a while! We were happy eating at the bar - the bartender was a pro, knowledgeable and very nice. The food was magical - we ordered the whipped ricotta crostino, croquettes, brussels sprouts, fusilli, and the burger. And of course we had dessert - the panna cotta and donuts. Everything was excellent - the food, the service, the wine, and the atmosphere. It's a must if you're in the area - we look forward to dining here again.

One with land is without a doubt some of the best food I’ve ever had. The chef has a brilliant way of combining fresh local ingredients to create unparalleled flavors you will not experience anywhere else. Everything is top notch from the food to the service to the comfortable country atmosphere. Drinks are strong, wait staff are attentive, super friendly + knowledgeable, interior decor is beautiful. This place is to many, in the middle of nowhere, but is always packed with people for good reason. Make a reservation ahead of time and enjoy the ambience and some of the best food you’ll ever eat. You will not be disappointed. Thank you chef Jared and Tara for elevating local farm to table cuisine.

I had to review this place because the food (and drinks) are sooo good. Mushroom pâté is to die for. Also amazing are the yellow wax beans with burrata, and celery salad. They a watermelon salad (I think it’s only over the summer) that was so unique and delicious, I am obsessed everything watermelon. I had for dinner the fish (halibut) with corn pure and shishito peppers. I was told the chef gets it fresh and not frozen and omg!! you can tell, super fresh and cooked to perfection. Also, the pork chop is excellent, best pork chop ever. Desserts are homemade and you can taste it, so don’t miss it. My favorite was the olive oil cake and pannacota They have a pretty decent list of cocktails. The spice blood orange Margarita was just right amount of spiciness. It was pretty busy, but wait wasn’t long. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

Excellent meal on a busy night! The vegetables (roasted cauliflower and wax beans) stood out and stole the show. Chicken milanese was perfectly seasoned and extra crispy. Burger ingredients were great alone but together fell apart, perhaps as the cheese wasn't all the way melted. Portions are quite large, and certainly to be shared. Ended with the very wonderful and moist olive oil cake, with a heaping of cream. This a special restaurant, and certainly worth the trip from anywhere. Will be back!

Had an incredible meal with another couple and our children on a Sunday night. Everything about the dinner was spectacular - the service, the food, the ambiance. We shared the mushroom and ricotta crostinis, cauliflower, watermelon, and lamb ribs to start. All of the "to share" and "small plates" were tasty... standouts were the mushroom crostini and cauliflower. For the mains, my wife and I shared the short rib fusilli and bone-in pork chop. The pork chop was one of the best pork chop dishes I've had in my life... the flavors of the perfectly cooked pork with the apricot topping were delectable. We were visiting from out of town, but would love a chance to go back at some point in the future!

We have eaten here 3 times. Each time seems to get even better than the last. There is not a weak meal on the menu and no matter what you order, you will be blown away by how fresh everything is made. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for the most quality meals in our area!

We had a mind-blowing time at One with Land. I almost don’t want to review it because I don’t want word to get out. We came on a couples weekend with friends and after coming here, we decided we want to move upstate. Emory was our waitress and she couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. The bartender, Abby is a creative genius. All the drinks were extremely well balanced, inventive, and paired well with food. The chef, Jared, while we didn’t meet him, we feel like we spoke to him through his food. The menu is thoughtful, sustainable, offers great variety, and is upscale but unpretentious. The ingredients speak for themselves. We will be back (when we move upstate) 10 / 10

What a great new(ish) local spot in the Hudson Valley! What used to be the Hoot Owl is now One With Land. We ordered a BUNCH of appetizers & for the main course I ordered the burger. Very delicious.. all the food was thoughtfully curated & plated. Husband & wife owners & they were lovely to chat with. Definitely will be back many times. See photos for vibe & presentation of their crispy brussels sprout & beet salad (YUMMM!).

Had the yummiest, freshest dinner at One With Land. Very generous portions for all courses—the lamb appetizer was enough for a main course all on its own! Pistachio salad was fresh and inventive, pasta was warm and rich with a kick, and pork chop succulent with an unexpectedly bright kale side. Service was a bit hit or miss, but it was Friday night and the place was packed inside and out. Tends to get loud, though we could still hear each other. If the food’s the most important thing to you (it is to us), One With Land is really outstanding.

Hands down , overall best restaurant I’ve ever eaten and so happy it’s close to our home . Menu is constantly changing based on protein availability. Owners take great pride in making every plate that comes out that kitchen a work of art . Staff is very charming , polite and friendly - reminds you of the staff in Starbucks back in the day when you left like it was a second home . Wherever your from , it’s worth the drive.

Best place in the Gunks! Delicious food, attentive staff and cozy decor. All of the food is locally sourced and fresh. Large selection of wine, beer and cocktails. Reasonably priced with several choices that should please everyone. I highly recommend a visit to One with Land.

Excellent in every way. Fantastic service. Delicious food. Perfect Martini. A wonderful experience. Emory (like memory) was a great server - highly personable who made our dinner even better by her warm and winning personality. The chef/owner, Jared, stopped at the table - a very special touch - and he was charming and interesting. The mushroom pate was spectacular, and the pork chop was delectable. The olive oil cake was so good. You can't go wrong. Highly recommend.

Friendly and attentive service. I was impressed that our hostess remembered us from our first visit last year and that I have dietary restrictions. Once again the food was phenomenal. For appetizers we shared the Duck Fat Fried Dates with Labneh, lemon thyme and aged sherry vinegar, and the roasted beets with pistachio yogurt. Our entrees were the Steelhead trout with pea puree and mushrooms, and the Farroto with asparagus and topped with an over-easy duck egg. Absolutely fabulous from start to finish!

Had a superb meal here and will return for many more. From appetizer to dessert, details seem more important here than other excellent area restaurants. We started with the lamb rib and potato croquet aps. The lamb was accompanied by a delicious yogurt sauce. There was an excellent, slightly sweet glaze that kept you wanting a little more. There were enough ribs to serve 2. The tater tot sized croquettes were also served with a dipping sauce, so good that my wife and I were actually dueling for the final 6th tot. For dinner, we chose the highly recommended Heritage pork chop and a short rib fettuccine pasta. Both were exceptional. The chop seared and glazed so that it remained tender and juicy, and the rib sauce spicy to perfection. Don't pass up the olive oil cake and French pressed coffee for dessert. Both were exceptional.

UPDATED - (see below original review) While at work I came across this place, One With Land. Took a look at it and it looked like a good place to try - out of the way and a small place. My kind of place! Reviews were great and it was a place that I hadn’t tried. Wife and I decided to try it on short notice. This place is out of the way and I had thought this place won’t be crazy busy. Let me start off by saying reservations are a must! On Friday evening my wife made reservations for a Saturday night and the only availability was at 8:00 pm. Thought to self… that’s a good sign. We arrived to the One With Land, a non-descript building, nothing that would lead you to believe what was in store. Inside the place was small but restaurant was full. There was a table of six and one of ten then the rest appeared to be four and two tops. I saw a small bar with one high top by it. All were taken except two, two-tops. We we directed to one of the two tops. The other two-top was filled moments later. Our server, Emory, brought us menus. She was quite personable and did a wonderful job waiting on us through our dining experience. We started out ordering two rum old fashions from the menu… they were delicious! The menu isn’t extensive and limited to five or so items in each, starters and main course. I also noticed the prices were extremely reasonable. The highest priced item being $32. I’ve seen places ask $60+ entrees. Even the wines were extremely reasonable… starting at mid twenties to highest price being around $60 or $70. My wife and I ordered some olives for the table… we ate them all! They were delicious! We shared starters - Crispy Potato Croquettes and Whipped Ricotta with honey. Wow! Both starters were excellent! Impressed by the service between courses… Emory removed all our plates and silverware and replaced it with clean silverware. She even noticed a small spill and wiped the table clean before we moved on. The wine, a French Syrah, was brought by one of the owners. She was also very personable and very attentive to the dining room. She is the bar tender and hostess. When she opened the wine she didn’t make me feel like she had to be elsewhere - even though she probably did have to due to all her responsibilities! By the way, she is pregnant and they are closing the restaurant for two weeks starting Thursday, January 33, 2025 - baby’s due date! Congratulations! Dinner came out - I had the pork chop and my wife had the rigatoni. Again, cooked to perfection and delicious! Seriously impressed by all the flavors and the deliciousness!!! Dessert was the chocolate torte for me and donuts for my wife. Another course we ate with delight! Everything was delicious, never felt rushed and weren’t served one course before we finished the previous one - which seems to happen in a lot of other places. Give this place a try… I know it’s a remote location… but it is definitely worth the drive! Wife and I are already planning to go back. UPDATE - March 2025 - We returned to One with Land and again had a spectacular meal! What a surprise it was when our server Emory actually remembered my name and where we sat on our first visit to the restaurant. Things like that make it a personal experience to remember. This visit my both, my wife’s eyes and mine, were too big for our stomachs. We ordered the marinated olives, mushroom pate crostino, and crispy Brussels sprouts for starters. We then had the cavatelli pasta and fettuccine with short rib for main courses. As with the previous meal everything was delicious. But this time we had to take about half of each of our main meals home. What a great lunch the next day! Just a warning that fettuccine with short rib was a little spicy hot. We loved it! The table next to us ordered burgers with duck egg and bacon on them… that will be my next meal there! The fries looked crispy and cooked to perfection alongside that amazing looking burger! Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

I like to order pork chops when my wife and I go out. I don't eat meat often so it's a treat for me. I haven't had a pork chop as good as the one I had tonight in years. Our server was also very attentive and friendly and we liked the ambiance. Will definitely be back.

A great meal and experience; lamb ribs were great--unusual flavors; the shaved celery salad was unique and delicious. The servers explained everything in great detail. The atmosphere was relaxed and down to earth--nothing pretentious. Sorry, I took a bite out of the rib before photographing it! Couldn't resist.

The food was so good here. Very very tasty. I enjoyed all of the dishes that I tried and my personal dish. The drinks were will made. Staff were friendly. The only downside to this place was that it was quite loud. They could really benefit from some foam under the tables. But that is it.

We did not have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate us at the bar. All the food was delicious- whipped ricotta crostini, steel head trout, fried chicken malinase and the chocolate espresso torte were incredible. Will definitely return when we are in the area! Highly recommend!

We ate here for the first time last night. The food was excellent. I didn't get a photo of the potato croquettes that we ordered because we ate them too fast. We had the spicy blue crab spaghetti, the chicken curry, and the baby back ribs. It was busy when we arrived but we waited and it was well worth the wait. We met the owners who are very friendly people. The bartender Rosie was very good and friendly. This was definitely some of the best local foods we have had and it is really worth going there for a meal. You will not be disappointed with the food or the service. Highly recommended and we will certainly be back.

My husband and I love One With Land and always have fabulous meals there. The lamb rigatoni we’ve gotten multiple times, it’s a generous portion and just what you want in a ragu. We also had the lamb ribs for the first time last night and they blew our minds. There is a wonderful crunchy sugared crust on them we couldn’t get enough of. We were actually wishing it came as an entree as well. Other standouts include the mushroom pate crostino, the salads, the oysters, and of course: the burger. When you look around the room burgers are on many of the tables. The service is always very friendly but it has been quite slow each time we’ve been in. They would probably really benefit from a good busser. However it’s all worth the wait and this place is a gem in The Gunks.

Great food and incredible dessert. The ambiance was nice in an old barn. Even though it was pretty crowded, the service was fast and we didn’t have to wait very long for the food. I would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back soon.

One With Land is doing everything right - the food, the service, and their incredibly welcoming environment. Every course was delicious, surprising and exquisitely executed. No doubt this chef and kitchen staff are highly skilled, every dish spoke to their abilities. Lots of places promise seasonal dishes with local ingredients, but OWL manages to highlight the purest of flavors from each ingredient and really tell a story of the season. While the food alone is enough to make the trip to this remote little corner, the warmth and pride radiating from the staff is what makes you want to slow down and fully enjoy the experience. It’s a team effort (and a family one too - shout out to baby Houston who is a highlight of dinner service), which means you get to meet all the special people at OWL. Thank you for an amazing night, we can’t wait to return.

We wanted to try something new to celebrate our anniversary so we landed on One With Land. After our meal last night, it will now be our go to for every single special occasion. The space was beautifully put together- minimal and thoughtful. We started with the potato croquettes which were creamy, crunchy and incredibly flavorful. The lamb rib app was surprising and decadent, possibly the best lamb we’ve had!! The cabbage was packed with char and deliciousness. And the pork chop… just perfect. We cannot wait to come back to try everything else that we couldn’t fit in our bellies. What a gem of a spot!

We had such an incredible meal here. We say at the bar and loved getting to know the co-owners — amazing people and such a cool culinary experience. The food was incredible and service was exceptional. Definitely will be coming back next time we are in the area

I’m not sure a restaurant could have blown us away more. We walked in without much prior knowledge other than a quick pass-by and a google search. It was, without a doubt, the best meal any of us have had in recent memory. We sat at the bar after only a few minutes wait, the co-owner and bartender took care of us and struck up a great conversation. After an impossible set of choices, we ordered: potato croquettes, delicata squash, spiced lamb ribs, eggplant with burrata, dates with labneh, burger, and rigatoni and topped it off with a spicy margarita each. Each and every dish was spectacular, fresh, well seasoned, and quite frankly perfect. We were enjoying it so much no one’s plate was safe from the neighborly vultures and we ate entirely family style. Many hours later and still an errant comment of “best meal ever” “I could not be happier” “oh my god, those dates” pops up in conversations as we continue our wonderful weekend upstate. Only 5 weeks since opening and this restaurant is firing on all cylinders. We can’t wait to return… again… and again… and again.

I never write reviews but One with Land deserves 6 stars. Hands down the best restaurant in the area (and better than most in NYC). Good energy as soon as you walk in & I’ll dream about the short rib rigatoni until I can get it again. Dare I say the best martini I’ve ever had? The mushroom patè will defy all expectations for how good an appetizer can be. Phenomenal. Pork chop is legendary The service is exceptional, truly amazing owners & fabulous hospitality. Don’t sleep on this salt of the earth space. 10/10

This restaurant is a 10 out of 10. We came to Gardiner and booked dinner with zero expectations, and every single dish and cocktail blew us away, along with the service. One of the best meals we’ve had. Highly recommend to anyone in town visiting.

Excellent addition to the hudson valley food scene. New owners who are so sweet opened up a couple of months ago. I got the chicken Milanese which was excellent and my husband got the most incredibly juicy perfectly cooked pork chop. Every detail from the service , decor and especially the food was top notch! We will be back!

We went for dinner tonight and it was excellent. The food was delicious and the service was great! The parking is a little tight, but it’s worth it! We had 3 appetizers that were delicious and rate them in this order: mushroom pate crostino, potato croquettes and wax beans with burrata. For entrees we had the Campanelle and Chicken Milanese and again very delicious! For dessert we had the warm doughnuts and espresso torte with night owl espresso martini! The atmosphere was welcoming and very clean. Will definitely be going back to this hidden gem in the outskirts of pine bush!! Three thumbs up! 👍👍👍

If you have the opportunity to go here, GO! This place is a hidden gem and one of the more memorable dinners we’ve had in a while. The space itself is exactly what we were looking for, a cozy, intimate space, but really well designed and some cool design elements. The food was excellent and we were savoring every bite. My husband got the burger and I got the marinated olives and ricotta toast. We left full. And most importantly, the staff was so hospitable, warm and inviting. We went late on a snowy Saturday night (post snowmageddon) and lucked out that it wasn’t too busy and was precisely the cozy Hudson Valley experience we were looking for. Thank you thank you for an excellent evening!

Incredible experience, the brussel sprouts are insane. The Free-Range 'Hot' Chicken Milanese may be the best chicken cutlet in the hudson valley. Coated in hot honey, topped with a vibrant chicory salad that tossed in their ranch topped with chives. Freshly made Doughnuts and Gelato and dont have to explain any further. Live changing stuff here, great people doing it.

Amazing dining experience! Our server Emory was fabulous, super knowledgeable about the food and so welcoming. We started with the mushroom crostini and tuna crudo. This was hands down the best crudo I’ve ever had. Portions were large and flavor was unreal. My husband got the pork and I had the hot chicken 10/10. We both agreed this was the best restaurant meal we’ve had. We will be back soon!!

The owner and chef, Jared, personally welcomed us and made us feel comfortable. All the dishes were delicious. The bartender, Abby was fantastic as well!!! We’ll definitely be back with more friends.

Let me first start by saying that this place is a hidden gem in the mountains of upstate New York. The interior is cute and reminds you of an old farmhouse, The wait staff is friendly and attentive with great recommendations and phenomenal service. The food is delicious! It is fresh. It is creative. It is exciting. This is one of my new favorite restaurants in the upstate New York region. I called to ask when their dining room was closing, they informed me that it was due to close at 9:45. I told them I would be arriving at 9:43 and they said come in we will gladly take care of you. Before arrival they called back to ask if we were still on our way which I thought was such a caring and thoughtful gesture. As we arrived the staff was so warm and welcoming! Our server was named Emory, she had great recommendations, knowledge of the menu and was incredibly nice! Such a great experience here! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

This was unbelievable from start to finish. Amazing cocktails and staff, but the food was exceptional. The waitress called us by name for the entirety of dinner, and you can tell the chef puts soul and heart into each dish. Not to mention the amazingly fresh ingredients for every dish. Truly farm to table. We were honestly and fully blown away! Cannot recommend enough! Honorable mentions to the upstate curious cocktail, the fried dates, shaved celery salad, and hot chicken milanese. 10/10!

The food was delicious and I enjoyed the garnishes...made everything look super fancy! Our waitress, Ashley, was on point. I really enjoyed the mushroom pate....yummm. The portion size was so big I couldn't eat most of my main course, the steel head trout (also delicious). For desert we loved the donuts! (Shout out to Dustin 😁) I cannot wait to eat my leftovers tomorrow! I highly recommend One With Land to anyone who wants a delicious and unique experience!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One With Land (OWL) – Pine Bush, NY We had a fantastic dinner with my wife and great friends. From the moment we walked in, the place felt special—amazing space with a warm, cozy atmosphere that’s both family-friendly and has a cool, romantic vibe at the same time. Our waitress, Emory, was absolutely wonderful—polite, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She made excellent menu recommendations and was attentive throughout the entire evening. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The pork chop was incredibly tender, flavorful, and filling, and the chicken Milanese was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. You can really taste the care and quality that comes from their farm-to-table approach and locally sourced ingredients. It’s clear that One With Land truly honors the Hudson Valley with creative, seasonal New American cuisine in a thoughtfully designed space. Highly recommend this restaurant—we’ll definitely be back!

One With Land was a total surprise! Don't let the rustic red barn exterior fool you; the inside is incredibly unique, refined, and cozy. Everything we ordered was excellently crafted and presented with artistic flair. The drinks were perfect, but the absolute standout for us was the Brussels sprouts. If you are looking for a hidden gem with high-quality food and a warm atmosphere, this is the spot.

My experience at One with Land (the food and the staff) surpasses that of so many restaurants I’ve been to in NYC. Loved every bite of my meal. Emory and all the staff we encountered were so friendly and pleasant. Excited for the future of this place

Enjoyed a Birthday dinner here recently with my daughter and granddaughter. It is truly a little country tavern. Not many of those left. It reminded me of one called The Barn that was located in Wyckoff NJ many years ago. Love the simplicity of the menu and the attention to the customers that seem to go hand in hand with a country outpost. The servers were kind and helpful, plus efficient. The food was delicious, including desserts. We were perhaps one of 3 tables when we arrived and by the time we left the parking spots were all taken and people were waiting to be seated. Popular! Am looking forward to a second visit. "This must be the place." 😋

We spent two nights this weekend at an Airbnb nearby and ate here twice - cancelling reservation already made elsewhere on our second night. Start with either crostini with mushroom pate or ricotta - both delicious. Their brussel sprouts are some of the best we have ever had. Their squash and trout are both excellent. And so was their west coast IPA on tap. Excellent service. Reservation a must for weekends.

OMG! One with Land’s food is simply awesome! We stopped in on a Sunday for a quick bite and were completely blown away by the food. I’m. Formally not a big fan of beets, but their Roasted Beet Salad on Pistachio yogurt was out of this world. The burger was devine too! I highly recommend stopping in and experiencing this chef’s incredible dishes!

Visiting gardiner/new paltz for the weekend & found this gem. Everything (seriously, everything!) was 10/10. Will definitely be coming back to the area just for another fantastic meal here. Thank you to Emory & the entire OWL team!

This place is a must! Everything from the food to the service was incredible! Emery our waitress was attentive and helpful. We loved all the food, especially the oysters and toast. However, what really stood out was the ribs and cake, which I’ll be dreaming about. Even the French press coffee was made perfectly and the best accompaniment to the best dessert! We will definitely be coming back. Everyone was so lovely.

Discovered this restaurant after hiking at Sam’s point. A simple and cozy decor. Quite busy even after 8pm, glad we made a reservation. The food is delicate and delicious. Really enjoyed the spicy anchovy crostini, the fresh herbs and seasonings perfectly complement the anchovy and the sour dough bread is fresh. My trout was crispy on the skin and juicy inside. Love the fresh shaved fennel with pistachios, light and refreshing. The burger is great, the only flaw is the fries are too dark. The frying oil is due for a change. Emory’s service and recommendations are amazing. Ended the night with the espresso chocolate torte, the sea salt gives an extra layer of the flourless cake that you can taste both chocolate and espresso that not too sweet.

We really enjoyed our first dinner at One With Land. We met a couple there that had been a couple of times already. They recommended some dishes to us. They were all spot on. Each dish was full of flavors and perfect for sharing. We enjoyed the beet dish, cabbage dish, lamb ribs and the mushroom pâté. We shared the steelhead trout as our entree. All in all we had so much food that we had to take some of it home. Emory was our server and for only having worked there less than a week, she was great! She guided us through the menu and if she didn’t know something she came back right away. She is a great asset to this dining establishment.

The new owner's have taken the space and transformed it into their own. Gone are the dark walls and many owls. The light grey brightens the place up and makes you feel at home especially if you sit in the lounge in front of the fireplace with a cocktail, or glass of wine. They use locally sourced ingredients and put so much dedication and love into the food. Service is great always trying to make sure everyone has what they need and want. This is exactly what pine bush needed.

Great spot in the area! Everything we ordered was very tasty. To start, we had the spicy anchovy crostini, duck fat dates, yellowfin tuna crudo and celery salad. For mains, we got the hot chicken Milanese, ragu fusilli and pork chop. All delicious. The pork chop was surprisingly tender bc most times pork is overcooked and too dry but this was well executed and juicy! Would recommend for sure.

I’ve been coming here since the hoot owl days and I will say the new owners/ chef have outdone themselves. This is the best food I’ve had here since coming; particularly the Brussels. Our server Emory was very personable and nice. Overall it made for an amazing family night out with all of us. Will definitely return.

So the food didn't taste bad it was just bland and for the price we paid and the dishes descriptions we were expecting more. The goat dish should come with a warning about possible injury from the alarming amount of surprisingly sharp bones in the meat. The burger came out unseasoned and missing the ingredients it advertised which caught my interest in the first place. All told a disappointment for our expectations. That said the place was clean the service was prompt and the food wasn't bad just a let down especially when contrasted with the price.

First, I think it should be mentioned that this is a restaurant that has recently changed ownership and name and had taken over the previous establishment, the Hoot Owl’s review history. Anyway, we went for the soft opening. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and the atmosphere is pleasant. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and one of the owners ended up introducing herself. There was a limited menu for the soft opening and we chose the celery salad, a pasta dish and the burger. Now, the celery salad I would and may return for. It was truly unique and delicious! However, we were disappointed with both the pasta and the burger which seemed rather average and over priced. The accompaniment of clearly not homemade fries to the burger did not help. I’ll be curious to see how this restaurant fares. You have to offer something quite exceptional to be successful in an out-of-the-way location with those prices.

A nice little hidden gem in the area that fills up quickly, likely because it’s one of a kind around here. The drinks are decent, but the food is hit or miss—some dishes completely missed the mark for me. It’s a spot you might find yourself at when other nearby options don’t seem too exciting.

The service was slow, and it took quite a while for our food to arrive. Overall, the food tasted good. Unfortunately, there were a few service issues. Our string beans were placed on the table with half of them hanging off the plate onto the table, which felt careless. Additionally, when I pointed out that the toasted bread served with the anchovy was burned, about 80% black on the bottom, meanwhile the waitress, Ashley, insisted it was “just charred.” I chose not to argue, but the response felt dismissive rather than attentive. I hope the restaurant can improve both service attentiveness and how feedback is handled.

UPDATE: I updated this review from 2 to 3 stars because the owner called me and was very professional, comped the fish, and wants to do whatever possible to make things right. I’m going to stand by my review, because it is accurate, but I will say that I think our experience was an anomaly, as everyone else there received great service. This seems like a nice restaurant but we just had an off experience. /// We expected Saturday night to be busy, but our experience this evening was pretty tough. Our waitress seemed hyper focused on a large group that was coming in. We were just a party of 2 but the larger group (8?) received far more attention. I’m pretty sure she forgot to put our first drink order in (just 2 beers) because when she came to take our dinner order and I asked about the beer she went to the bar tender and seemed to have a rather harried conversation, and we received the drinks shortly after. The one appetizer came out reasonably soon. The mains took forever. My halibut dish was a substitution because they ran out of the tile fish. I was so looking forward to this dinner, but the flavors just didn’t go together. The halibut was very salty, and the sauce they paired it with was really sweet, the shishito peppers were good, the crab was also very sweet. The dish was just incongruent and I couldn’t finish it, even though I was very hungry. By the time our mains arrived we had also been waiting 20 min for our second drink (just beer again). We had to flag down a different waiter because ours was MIA since taking our dinner orders (while waiting hand and foot to the 8-top), didn’t ask us how the food was (for apps or dinner). Turns out she had forgotten to put our second drink order in (this was now 30+ min after the fact). At this point we just cut our losses, paid the bill and left. It was such a shame because we would have kept ordering, probably doubling our bill, but the service was so poor. The tables next to us were having entirely different experiences and their waiters were attentive. The (one lone) poor bar tender tried to explain that they were short 2 people, but that didn’t stop them from seating walk ins, while we (with a reservation) received terrible service. If you are short staffed it is necessary to make adjustments in order to deliver proper service to your customers. Also the parking situation is inadequate. For me, this place was just overrated and I wish we had gone somewhere else.
