Chicken Saltimbocca (a special) was the absolute best! This restaurant came highly recommended from a friend and it certainly did not disappoint in any way.
Went out with my wife for a romantic couples dinner. Had the Sicilian Holiday appetizer to start. The mozzarella on the platter was excellent. Then for dinner, my wife had the Gorgonzola steak salad, which she enjoyed. I had the Tuscan chicken francese. Which was delicious. While we choose not to have dessert, I did order the fried mozzarella. Though you only get four "sticks", they were huge by any other standard. The staff were nice and pleasant, wearing masks and gloves for safety. We had a great time.
We’d been here only twice before, once each for lunch and dinner. Our experiences were good so we decided to give it a shot for a birthday celebration with 17 people this past weekend. What a great job they did. The main server (I wish I could remember her name) greeted me upon arrival and was obviously prepared to help us have a great time. Service was spectacular. She and the others helping her took care of our every need. They asked us to let them know when we were ready for each course rather than just bringing them out one after the other. They were unobtrusive while still always there when we needed something. The food was delicious. With 17 individuals, we ordered so many different things off the menu and everyone loved their selections. Nothing could have been better. We will continue to patronize Savona’s and recommend them highly.
The food is delicious and fresh and the service was great. We came with a large party and everyone was impressed. The baked Gorgonzola stuffed figs were amazing!
The food and service definitely excellent and would love to go again next time I'm in town.
We came here last night for my birthday and the entire experience was great. I ordered the special drink and it was perfect. We had the squash blossom as an appetizer and chose two of the fall specials. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and kind and the manager, Gerry was also great and made sure we had a good time. Can’t wait to go back!
Ate one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, Hot Honey Calamari Salad. Fantastic
An exceptional experience from start to finish. Our server, Sarah, was probably one of the best waitresses we’ve ever encountered. She was very attentive without being a nuisance, so helpful with suggestions and just overall a very pleasant girl to have taking care of us. The food was also excellent, promptly seated and served but what will always stand out to make this experience what it was, was Sarah, making it a truly enjoyable evening.
Easily the BEST burger I’ve ever had. The Gorgonzola burger was made out of perfection from bottom bun to the top. My brother got the carbonara pasta, which was delicious. The complimentary olive oil breadsticks were fluffy and light. Wonderful atmosphere and setup inside and out. Additionally, there’s some serious bang for your buck. $10-20 per person is %100 worth it here. Also cannot say enough how delicious that burger was.
Great place to stop by and have lunch. Chicken Caprese flatbread was amazing! Beer and liquor selection is excellent and staff was very attentive, even for early on a Sunday.
Very good food and excellent service. I'm not too fond of the garlic rolls they serve and would prefer the great crusty bread they used to serve, but aside from that, no issues with their food. Have tried a number of different dishes from salmon to pasta. All fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The only other issue is its difficult to find parking on busy nights.
First visit. We decided to go for our Anniversary and very pleased we did. Wednesday is 1/2 price bottles of wine. Food was fantastic. We look forward to returning. Food is always great and the service was outstanding...
Had a great birthday lunch today. Our server Jerry was awesome and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was also very nice. I definitely recommend it.
A promotion for Veterans Day that was done very nicely with balloons at the front door and a great server named Jerry with his flag tie and thanking me for my service could not have been a better experience all the way around. Many veterans enjoyed a complimentary meal and dessert at no charge with many choices on the menu. A great meal and respect to a large number of veterans. Thank you Savona’s
Says open until 9pm, rejected for ordering dinner at 8:44pm. But you can have a drink, sorry kitchen closes at 8:30pm. Huh? I bet I don't get a response either....restaurants struggled through the pandemic and here I am. I don't get it. Update: I returned after being contacted by Jessica, and I am I glad I did. My return dinner was outstanding , and the bartender Ramiro was wonderful. They wanted to make a negative experience better, and they did. That is what business is about, caring for their customers. Hats off, I will now be coming back .....thanks Jessica!
We needed a place to eat with our Boxer and they accommodated Dozer offering him water before we were even seated. Told us where we would be seated because we had a dog when we reserved our table. We had Gerry the waiter who was as great as the other reviews say. The food and wine were excellent. We’ll be back.
I was very impressed with the atmosphere here. The servers were very attentive, never let us go without water or want for anything. They were on top of every detail. I really enjoyed having lunch there.
We happened to be nearby, and they were able to squeeze us in. The flatbreads/pizza were so good! They had great variety too.
The staff were very welcoming when you first enter the restaurant. I went with my boyfriend and my son and we got seated at our tables right away. The food we received was amazing and delicious. The only con was that the restaurant was very busy and crowded so the food did take a little bit longer to come out and receive our check.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of eating at Savona's while in town for a training. Seriously some of the best food I've had in my LIFE! I started with a generous glass of Sauvignon Blanc which paired deliciously with an appetizer of fried zucchini flowers. They were absolute perfection dipped in their amazing red sauce. I had eggplant rollatini with penne pasta. It was a generous helping (leftovers to take home) and absolutely fresh and delectable. My girlfriend had the Sunday Sauce which she claims was equally exquisite. My favorite had to be the bread sticks! Oh my heavens! Served with an olive oil dipping sauce and spices, I truly thought I had died and gone to carb heaven! The perfect blend of crusty and soft! All of this deliciousness was served by the friendliest waiter with a killer smile and personality. We loved Jerry! He even brought us extra bread sticks!!! (Shhhhh). He made our dining experience so pleasant. We sat outside at a lovely table and watched the Vasser students as they celebrated Founder's Day! And as if that weren't enough, a medical crisis occurred for a patron while we were there and the staff was calm and professional and we were barely disrupted at all! I would highly recommend you check out this wonderful eatery. You won't be sorry.
I was told by a friend that there was a soft opening for the new restaurant in Poughkeepsie. I am glad I came over, great atmosphere the owner Stewve introduced himself that was nice😁. I got their signature salad Savonas with strawberries and grilled chicken one of the freshest and best I had. The staff was five star I was served by Will, Kyle, and Nikole ordered their signature drink sweet Manny with Hudson BBN didn't disappoint. Will definitely be back and good luck going forward.
We went here for "date night" and it was great. The atmosphere was perfect, food came out at a nice pace, and we were torn between all of the menu options - so we'll be back to try the others for sure! The drinks could have come out a little faster. Jerry was our server and he was man!
We were a party of 7 for lunch on a Sat. The restaurant was quite busy as there was a birthday party and a communion party. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We were celebrating an adult birthday. Our waiter was top notch, and the choices of Italian food are excellent. The food is delicious big portions. They have a good dessert menu, and they are quite good. It was a little noisy because of the parties, but that is understandable. Overall, it was quite enjoyable with great food.
This evening I had the pleasure of having an amazing dinner here. Sara was my Waitress and was very professional and polite. She was very patient and answered all my questions, and very attentive. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. I Highly recommend this place. I look forward to visiting this place again.
I was just there over the weekend with a large group of over 20 people. It was my late mother's birthday and we got together with her side of the family in her honor. Savona's handled our large group excellently, from making the initial reservation, every step of the way, all the way through the dinner. The food was superb, as was the service. They were even able to split checks for us. I can confidently say that next year Savona's will be the first place we call when we organize our annual outing.
Wonderful professional service. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious.
Everything was great here. I went with my parents, husband and two kids. The kids were brought over a coloring sheet and waters as soon as we sat down. When I requested their food be brought out first it was not an issue (chicken and fries). We had calamari and zucchini flowers for appetizers- delicious. Dinners were all great- pastas, steaks. Would come back again!
We had our engagement party at Savonas in Poughkeepsie Birch room and I can not say enough how amazing our experience was! The service was great the food was AMAZING! The team did such a great job to make our special day memorable! Thank you!!
Excellent brunch. The food was amazing and the staff was wonderful. It is definitely worth visiting again next time we are in the area.
Savona's Trattoria & Bar is a superb Italian restaurant with a college bar atmosphere. The servers were very friendly, nice and helpful. The food tasted delicious, I had the yummy Gorgonzola steak salad, my son had mouth water chicken pepperoni Parm sandwich and my daughter indulged in the salmon limoncello! Savona's Trattoria & Bar is top on my list of places to eat fine food in Poughkeepsie!
Gets place with great food. Im from Texas nd went down for business. Loved it only thing that we weren't crazy about is we weren't a party four bd they gave us a Pretty small table. Could barely fit ur plates
Excellent service, the meals are consistently good! A wonderful family atmosphere and great for kids. From the breads sticks to deserts you are treated to a wonderful experience. It is a bit noisy so don't expect a quiet intimate meal. But it's worth the effort to go here.
During a visit to the area, I had dinner here twice. First night shrimp scampi and second lasagna. A chilled sauce blanc from NZ and a salad completed the meal. Folks friendly, responsive and helpful. Selection of appetizers, entrees, cocktails etc excellent. Service - spot on. Seating in and out with tall boys and a small bar inside. Guys you don’t need to look at the menu. Trust me on this one. You’ll feel like Nonna made dinner tonight!
The food was good. We had a outdoor seating, our server was so busy and rush. I dislike how he packed my leftover food. Although I had a large plate with slices of pizza, didn’t mean he can put all the dishes, including my fd’s small dishes on my pizza plate and bring it inside and pack the food. So my leftover pizza was next to the dirty dishes. Next time, I will ask for the Togo container instead.
I love this place, I have had both dinner and brunch here. This is one of the best places for brunch in the area. The food is very fresh and tasty, the portions are great and the service is outstanding. The lemon ricotta waffles are so good, their house made bread, I can never stop eating. Everything I have tried is simply delicious.
The first time I went I had Chicken Française that, in my opinion, was oddly paired with string beans and roasted potatoes. The chicken was excellent but I don't feel it goes well with potatoes and string beans - I would have preferred pasta. I've since discovered you can switch the sides though I'm not sure how much leeway you are given. That said, I've had their eggplant parmesan twice (which is appropriately served with pasta) and can confidently say it's the best eggplant I've had anywhere. It even beats moms! The staff is polite, the service is very good, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere though it is a bit noisy. However, the overall 'vibe' of the restaurant is 'festive' so the noise seems to fit in with the atmosphere. A bit more expensive than moderately priced, but the food is plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend.
My partner and I have been coming here for a while. Tonight, their Valentine’s Day prefix menu was impeccable and affordable. A bottle of wine and 3 courses for each person! The price isn’t what dragged us in. Their quality of food is beyond its standard but their server Lexi really makes you feel at home. She was so busy but still had time to engage with us and make us feel so welcomed. We love Savonas and you should too! I didn’t take pictures of everything but the detail of the hearts on the caprese were everything!
Very good service and menu. We went for our veterans day meal, and it was outstanding. I ordered the chicken marsala. It was one of the best I've ever had. I will be coming back soon.thank you
Me and my boyfriend sat at the bar and we were served by Lauren; service was PHENOMENAL- went for happy hour, got two drinks and she requested a new tequila which my boyfriend loved (LALO) and recommended a cocktail for me (pear cosmo) , would definitely recommend to come around when she’s working to make sure you get the full savona’s experience! I also recommend kingston location as i am a regular there, but i am blown away with the service i received here at poughkipsie… Thank you all! :)
Incredible! Everything from the wait staff to the food was above and beyond our expectations. My fiance and I got the bruschetta chicken flat bread pizza and fried calamari for appetizers and chicken masala/salmon over risotto for entrees and.... Wow! Excellent flavor and everything was cooked to perfection!
We come here all the time, especially in the summer. Love to sit outside. I was hoping to post some pictures of the lovely food. I just picked up for their weekly special but there's nowhere to put them For the most part, it's one of my favorite places.♡
So my wife and I love going to savona’s. They always are so welcoming and positive. Tonight we had a long day and decided to DoorDash instead of going to the restaurant. The food was still amazing! My wife loves to DoorDash and I personally hate it because they are never the same and the food normally sucks. This is the one time I was wrong. Food was still as good. And I’m glad I was wrong!
Very delicious food with a perfect environment for both family dinners and date night. The atmosphere was full of cozy Christmas vibes, making it ideal for winter and comforting Italian food. I ordered the fried calamari, shrimp scampi, and classic parmigiana, and everything was delicious. The service was friendly, and I highly recommend it.
Absolutely delicious food! We went to Savona’s for the first time this past weekend and the food did not disappoint. Our server was very friendly and the inside was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We ordered some of the sandwiches and the fig/gorgonzola appetizer (highly recommend!) Delicious!
After the experience I had today I am grateful my boyfriend and I found this place. Walked and welcomed with the warmest greeting! Staff was amazing and you can tell they work as a team! Julianne, our waitress was helpful and frequently made sure to check on us. Elena, also made sure our cups never got empty and bread stayed full (thank you so much for that the bread is AMAZING!). NOW TO THE FOOD: Mouthwatering! Get the Gorgonzola and Pear pizza, a party in your mouth. The spaghetti tasted so authentic and tasted even better with the complimentary bread. Amazing experience, highly recommend.
Had such a wonderful time here for my niece's first birthday! The private dining area for larger parties was wonderful for the families. Food was absolutely delicious and we all left stuffed. I especially liked the eggplant parm and cheesecake. The bar program was cool too and they had a tasty mojito and delicious espresso martini. Would recommend for large parties. Excellent service and delicious food.
We were in the area for a cross country race and found your restaurant because it got good reviews. Even though they had a full book of reservations they were still able to accommodate us (just a party of 2). Waitress was attentive, food came out timely and was delicious. Good selection of wines and cocktails. Tastefully decorated. Would recommend to anyone
We had a surprise Birthday party for my daughter recently, there was 11 of us. The staff did everything above and beyond to make this a wonderful night especially our server , Sara. Thank you so much Sara !! You and your coworkers are the best. The food was excellent, the staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic !!
We have been to all the Savonas locations but usually go to Red Hook or Poughkeepsie. We have been there for brunch, lunch and dinner. We’ve had three events in the Poughkeepsie location. I cannot use enough accolades to describe the food and service. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. The food is consistent and delicious . Today I picked up the family dinner for four. It was 50$ and 15$ extra for dessert. The portions are so generous that I am sure it will serve 6-8 people. What an outstanding value!
I’ve been here a handful of times, and have always had a great experience there. First of all, the staff are friendly and the servers we had were all attentive and knowledgeable about the food. I went for New Years one year, a few times with friends, and our best experience was actually on Valentine’s Day this year. We started with espresso martinis which were made with the perfect ratios. They also had a set menu with some delicious options. The seafood bisque was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the main course (filet) was perfectly cooked and tender. We had a nice cheesecake for dessert and an overall great experience. I wish there was more room between tables so you aren’t so close to the surrounding tables, but they did let us move when we felt too cramped which was very nice.
Food quality / price rating (value) 10. The atmosphere is contemporary neo-industrial, and it is comfortable and interesting. They have plenty of high-tops and cozy nooks which makes for a great date place, and have several sidewalk tables outside. Happy Hours are Monday through Friday, 3 - 6 pm Service by Jerry was very good. We've now been to all four Savona restaurants, and all of them have heen excellent. The menu is filled with innovative offerings, and even the classic dishes have a unique spin on them. I had the Grilled Chicken and roasted pear hero on semolina bread which was fantastic, and included house-cut shoestring fries that were cooked extra well done as asked. The wife had the Chop Chop Chicken salad that was made with high quality greens, and said it was excellent also. They offer limited, but well rounded draught beer choices. I'd certainly recommend all four Savona restaurants.
I walked past the window and decided to walk in with my friend. We ordered the ‘scallops risotto peanuts butter squash’, the special dish for fall season, and it was so yummy❤️❤️❤️ the drink is very good too I had pear martini for a drink. It’s very very good, not too sweet with a little sour taste. Nichole, my waitress is very friendly too. I’ll go try some other dishes for my next visit!!
Wonderful food, we had the eggplant Napoleon, veal francaise, and mushroom pizza, every dish was delicious and full of flavor! The restaurant was very busy for a Friday afternoon so that may have affected our service which while not bad was not as good as the food so only 4 stars for service. We had some longer wait times in ordering our meals and getting our check. The server was very nice but he did seem to be a bit overwhelmed. I highly recommend Savona's and I look forward to my next meal there.
Great ensemble of popular Italian dishes combined with some unique selections. The chicken francese had a strong lemon note, and the burrata was creamy and fresh. We loved the bruschetta. We appreciated the menu recommendations and efficient service. Reservations are a good idea, & allow a few minutes to find parking. Highly recommend!
What a treat. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was very good. I rarely eat outdoors but the atmosphere was perfect and I felt incredibly comfortable. I really enjoyed the drink menu and fell in love with the Rose Gold. The pepperoni chicken parmigiana was delicious and my favorite thing. Wonderful overall and I look forward to going back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. We live one mile away and go there often ..occasionally get takeout as we did this week. I have to say the portion of eggplant rollatini was so small!! It almost looked as though they never finished putting it in the container.! This is a consistent finding on their takeout . When I dine in person I never find this . Probably won’t do takeout again .
Food was good, however, for the price the portions were extremely skimpy and the sangria tasted like there was no alcohol at all. Got a salad which didn't even have a full chicken breast on it and the calamari app had about 15 max pieces on it which was unseasoned. They're are better Italian places in Dutchess that give you bigger portions for your money. Won't be returning for a while.
Went today for a funeral with supposed to be 25 pepole ended up being 13 pepole . THIS RESTAURANT hands down was superb!! The waitress was on point and the food was so good. I was up from N.c. and reserved all over phone. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!
Very up scale stylish entrance with sports bar area then pass by into nice rustic looking dining area. While waiting server brings good garlic bread to snack on. Service was not bad as well seeing that we were a party of about 10 that day.
I had a special reunion lunch recently there! The food was great, champagne flowing. There was an accident with the waiter at our table, big spill- champagne glass broke. Poor waiter! The wonderful managers comped our entire meal!
Service is great here and everyone is super friendly! I had the mozzarella sticks and a pizza to go. The mozzarella sticks were so so good and the sauce was also great. I loved the pizza, but I wish it was cooked just a little longer. I ended up tossing it in the oven for a couple minutes just to get it a little crispy.
Great atmosphere and food was excellent. Service was good up until entrees then it really dropped off.
Dined for Christmas Eve.. Very busy. It was a little loud. Table for 5. We were 10 minutes early and were sat right away. Alexis was an excellent server. Checked in with us multiple times. Food was really good. We order apps, entrees and dessert. Our party was 2 teens,.2 adults and 1 older adult. Everyone was satisfied and happy with the meal. I really appreciate the Christmas Eve Feast of the Fishes and the regular menu. We ordered off both menus. I would go back. Great meal..
ordered salmon and didn’t smell to fresh, the time before this it’s was better
The food here is top notch and the outside area is wonderful. But, on three occasions we have called to do take out (not always on a holiday) and have been turned away saying no take out tonight. There’s basically no takeout ever unless it’s “off peak” hours and they aren’t busy at all. Super disappointing especially when we have super young children who have difficulty sitting still in a nice restaurant, and we still want to enjoy the food. Won’t be back again.
We ordered catering takeout for Christmas Eve, we ordered a half tray of Zuppa de pesce, a full tray of chicken parm, and a full tray of shrimp fra diavolo, which totaled around $500. The zuppa de peace was decent but it didn’t even come with pasta, which is kind of crazy considering the price. The fra diavolo, which is traditionally served with linguini, came with penne, which isn’t a huge deal but the pasta was over cooked and mushy. The chicken was cooked nicely, it was tender and juicy, but bread crumbs were bland and mushy, and the sauce too sweet and tasted like it was from a jar. After this experience we will not be ordering from this restaurant again, nor would we recommend it to friends. Overall I would say the food is mediocre are best and way too expensive.
Nice menu, good salads, but not much else available for gluten-free diets. Noice levels can easily interfere with conversations at your table, especially if seated on the right side of the restaurant or opposite the bar.
The food is always good, loved the bar setup. Ordered Blue Crab Raviolis, they were very good, the reason for the 3 stars is it came with nothing, no salad, no side of pasta, just 5 Raviolis. For the cost of the meal they can do better.
Walked-in during late lunch. Bartender kid wasn’t the friendliest at first and stated, “you have to order food” in a nasty tone, when I said “that is fine, I am aware of Uncle Andy’s Covid rules” he seemed disappointed as though he had to wait on me. Ultimately, he warmed up as he noticed I was spending $$. Don’t judge a book by its cover! Anyway, I prefer the Kingston service and food much more.
Really nice vibes here, but unfortunately doesn’t make up for the food and service. There was a private party happening which took most of the servers attention which left little support for the public. Additionally, the air conditioning was on full blast and everyone in the area we were sitting in was freezing - we asked to turn the air down multiple times, but it took so long that within 2 minutes of receiving our food, the food was already cold. This was really disappointing as we were recommended to come here and had high hopes. Hopefully this is not a regular occurrence.
We had lunch here today I had Nonnas Sunday dinner it was okay the gravy( sauce) was not great the meatball and sausage was something i could get anywhere. The staff were nice and polite. I had take out years ago in the Kingston location was not impressed then either. If you go expect okay.
First time eating from here although I've lived locally for almost a decade. I ordered the lobster ravioli and was extremely disappointed and disgusted at the poor quality of food. Hopefully this was just a bad night for the chef or because I ordered take out but I doubt I would be going back. The lobster ravioli was so incredibly salty plus the salt that was dumped into the sauce it made my whole meal not edible. I tried a piece from the other raviolis hoping it was just the first one i ate but it was the entire meal. I even crunched on what looked like a piece of shell. That was unpleasant as well. Waste of my hard earned money.
I had gotten take out from this place once and wasn’t that impressed but decided to give it another chance for dine-in. I was seated and had my order taken very quickly since it wasn’t busy. However it took extremely long to get our food and we couldn’t find anyone to get us the check. Once we got the check we had to wait around to ask someone to get us change. We were there for 2 hours and spent probably 20-30 minutes of it actually eating. Very slow service but the atmosphere was nice. We got a truffle mushroom pizza, shrimp scampi, and a mushroom risotto. The food looked amazing but unfortunately did not taste that way. The risotto was bland and the shrimp scampi had huge slices of unevenly cooked garlic. The truffle mushroom pizza was decent but a little soggy. The complimentary garlic bread was extremely hard to chew.
This was a celebration of my wife's birthday, which the food was mediocre. This was our 1st visit. We will give them a second chance soon. Stuff zucchini flower was amazing. Stuff artichoke with breadcrumbs tasted like sand. Steak needed more flavors S & P minimum adding a sauce saved the meal.
The food was good. Very tasty. We really enjoyed the garlic bread and fried calamari. However, the service was beyond awful. We were greeted by a waiter and he sat us. He made it seem like WE were bothering HIM. He was very short and cold with us when it came time to ordering. Didn’t introduce himself or welcome us. However, he made sure to greet and Introduce himself to the other patrons that he served. Overall, it was just not a very welcoming atmosphere or service. Not the greatest birthday dinner.
Never even made it to food or drinks. Took 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order and another 10 before the waiter came back saying the bartender is switching out kegs so it’ll be a little more time. It was Sunday at 12:30 and only three other tables. We sat in front of the bar, and the bartender could have easily done the keg 20 minutes prior. The staff was busier talking with each other instead. Disappointed and won’t be back to the Poughkeepsie location 🤷🏻♀️
Ive never left a review of a restaurant before, but after having dinner at this restaurant I had to. When we had dinner there, I had pasta, another member of my party had salad, and another eggplant parmigiana. Three minutes after we ordered the food arrived. All of the food was semi cold and seemed like it was premade. The salad had lettuce that looked like it was taken right out of a bag you could buy at a grocery store. Following that dinner, everyone in our party got horrible stomachaches. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! Going to this restaurant is a complete waste of time and money. I am genuinely confused about the other reviews posted. This restaurant does not deserve any praise.
We made reservations for 6pm tonight and arrived promptly. We were seated and given water and rolls. However, no one attended us at all. We waited over 1/2 hour and no one came to take our drink order, or to serve us. The final straw was when a waitress waited on the couple that sat next to us 5 minutes after arrival. We walked out - terrible experience.
Awful 😖 Awful AWFUL!!! Food tastes cheap but is way over priced, atmosphere is lackluster, staff was rude and had an air or entitlement like they were better than you. There was hair in my food and the silverware was dirty. Do NOT recommend.
I was very hopeful that the food had improved as it used to be great when they first opened in Poughkeepsie.. Their “Famous” meatballs were obviously frozen, not fresh, very dry and dense - not enjoyable. They used to be amazing. Our 2 pizzas were under-cooked and doughy. Their sauce is always perfect but so disappointed with the overall execution of the meal.
If it could be 0 it would… I went there over a month ago. The service was absolutely terrible and it wasn’t even busy. We waited over an hour and the waiter didn’t even tell us the wait would be long the only times he came around was to take are order and bring our food oh and during the hour wait take our drinks and not even ask if we wanted refills. I emailed the head lady of the restaurant and she emailed me a message basically saying that the waiter is one of the best ones and basically didn’t believe my complaint but she talked to them and wouldn’t happen again. The lady then said due to the terrible service she would send me a gift card on July 12th she said she would send me a gift card. This place is way over priced for terrible CUSTOMER SERVICE and service in general. As people who live right by the restaurant and visited frequently we will never go back. There are much better places around that area with better service.
we had a 7 reservation and they over booked and now we have to find somewhere else to eat last minute on christmas eve horrible!
Place looks amazing. Pizza is dry, and hard, no flavor and super thin. Chicken Marsala was plain and noodles were very dry. French fries Were burned and salt less. No ketchup given. Lasagna was okay. Garlic twist were very oily. I'm highly disappointed spending 100$ on food. I'll give this place a 2. The 2 is because the place is absolutely gorgeous, but there's no real Italian love in the food. 😑 Will not be going back.
The atmosphere was lovely and anticipated having a nice evening with family for Christmas Eve. We had 4:30 reservations and were seated on time. By 7pm we hadn’t received our dinner yet. We were clearly wondering what was going on. The waitress was lovely and apologized multiple times for the delay, was clearly overwhelmed and didn’t have an explanation for what was going on. I finally asked if our food was even being cooked because we were at a point of just wanting to move on with our evening. Someone walked over and said “sorry we’ll do better” but didn’t provide anything further. We didn’t feel welcomed at this point and felt like no one wanted to come near us as we were questioning what was going on with our dinner. One family member left without eating, once the food was at our table we asked for theirs to be wrapped. By 7:30 we were waiting on our check and boxes for our leftovers. Our waitress came over and we asked for a second time for boxes, she stopped , seemed defeated and said sorry that she had asked for someone to come over and wrap our meals. While other tables had their meals packaged we wrapped ours ourselves. We felt completely forgotten about when it came to our dinner and felt the apology given was just brushed off.
