I just left from there and had the best service through the drive thru. His name is Francisco and was friendly,, helpful, speedy, greeted you with respect.. We really need more service with people like him.
Who doesn't love golden chick right? Except maybe the price dang that's some expensive chicken! I spent $48.00 on tenders tonight but my family devoured them! So I guess it's a total win in my book. The girl who took our order was very polite and thorough, even though there was a long line at the drive thru we were in and out very quickly. The other employees were very nice and and helpful as well. Two thumbs up from us. Thanks Golden Chick. In Princeton.
Great food good service and they didn’t forget anything! Lydia the Store Manager is pretty cool too clean environment as well.
The young light skinned women up front is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I've been here a few times and she always keeps such a sweet smile. She's pretty new i believe. Best customer service by far. Just had to come home and write this review. Super respectful. You guys are blessed to have her on your team. 9:11pm 5/24/18!
Wow!!! Probably the best chicken I have ever picked up. I was a little worried about picking it up at 4:15pm. But it was fresh, hot and crispy. I got 2 10 piece chicken and okra. The drive thru employees were sooo nice. This was my first time for Golden Chick, I am hooked!!!!

Standalone restaurant with limited parking. We have used the drive y thru multiple times. Service has always been pleasant and fast. Chicken strips, gravy, okra and fries are our go-to's. They have never failed to deliver. Definitely recommend.
Great service. Young lady asked if drink tasted ok to us as they had some complaints. Was flat. So we went another drink. She communicated great and acted like she really cared. Which I find rare nowadays. Loved the baked chicken 🐔 😋 and rolls.
Always love the food. It’s my favorite chicken. Only thing is, I always have to go back for my condiments and pricing is a lil high. So if you lower the price and don’t forget the dipping sauce, you would be the best hands down.
Mary was a complete pleasure. My food was fresh and hot. She went above and beyond to serve me. She made me feel like a valued customer. I love this location.
I would have given it 5 stars, but the fish was overcooked. Most of the time, they drop it down fresh, but this time, it was in the warmer. I love, love, love their catfish. Prices are going up, but that's everywhere. I believe the young man was trying to get fresh fish, but I understand they had to get rid of the fish that was already cooked. Service is good.
Alicia and Maria were super busy today, but did an amazing job! The food was wonderful, and my family and I had a great time. Unfortunately, There was a man griping at them who apparently has no clue that it takes time to cook fresh food, and grew increasingly nasty with them. They did their jobs well, and kept up their bright attitudes as they continued to serve everyone there, including the less than friendly couple. I believe that they deserve some recognition for being amazing employees. It takes some serious mind power to keep your cool and keep going with people like that, not to mention, keeping a great attitude!
Sorry was in a hurry when I only left the 5 stars. My husband and I love the food here and always get extra tenders and rolls so we can have a tender on a roll with honey and butter for breakfast for a few mornings after we eat there. Great quick breakfast when you are in a hurry in the mornings. We always have a great experience and we love all the vegetables too. Love the employees as well, they always strive to make us happy. Thank them for the great service for us please. Will be seeing you all soon.
I went about two weeks ago and they were super busy. With the staff they had they were able to get orders out quickly. I thought with our order that it might of dropped in quality. The manager was caring and remarkable got us our food fresh, warm , and delicious. This has to be one of the best golden chicks in North Texas.
Nothing like a fried chicken establishment that has a nice country lady handing me my spicy tenders and lotta zing sauce!!! I swear sweet people make the food taste better!!! I stop here every time I get a craving for some chicken!!! Love it!

I ate here for lunch yesterday. It was delicious. Stopped in and had 2 peice cat fish and some corn nuggets with a roll and drink. The service was great, and the restaurant was clean .

(I'm leaving the last review under as a reference, BUT) My review changed. We've been twice since the last time I reviewed and gave it a 1 star, no complaints either time! Back to 5 star! The food and drink was perfect, like I remembered both times! :D THANK YOU for fixing the issue. Reference to previous issue below The last 6 times I have been here they got our order wrong. Today it was some young girl with dark hair and eyes and super pale skin with an attitude. We asked for no ice in our drinks. My boyfriend was nice and only asked for mine to be replaced (I have really bad teeth and usually wait for the drink to warm a little) and she had the nerve to get an attitude with him. And he asked nicely! I would have understood if he was rude, that happens unfortunately with mistakes from some people. But he was nice. The other times the rolls are burnt or they give us the wrong macaroni size, almost always forget forks and straws. I keep coming back because growing up in Princeton this was one of the best locations around, but things have changed, and I'm really upset. I've been here multiple times since I moved back into town in November, and not once have I had a good experience. I miss when they cared about what they were putting out.
Everything here is just to die for! The service was amazing and the waits weren’t long at all. The waiters were very kind and very attentive. The food was amazing no mistake or errors. I highly recommend this place!
Have no complaints about the service or food. Love coming here during my lunch break for the wings 😋

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Golden Chick, and I have to say, the food was absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sides were just as amazing. Everything was seasoned to perfection, and the flavors really stood out. I loved every bite and can't wait to go back for more. If you're looking for a satisfying meal, Golden Chick is definitely the place to go! Shoutout to Mary for making my visit at Golden Chick special she has such great service and very kind!
Raina waited on me at the drive thru. She was sweet. She made sure the order was accurate. She asked about condiments. When I got to the windows, Raina went over the order again. She also gave me the most beautiful smile with her pink braces. Excellent customer service from this young lady. I left feeling really Joyful.
Christina took my order and was very polite and understanding of my ignorance towards the menu and what Golden Chick actually offered. So she walked me through by asking me some quick questions about what I'd like to eat. I told her what I like to generally eat and went with her recommendation. It reminded me of being at a 4 or 5 star restaurant , where there server explains and recommends what you might think would be a good meal, yet she did it so quickly, with a great attitude. I got my combo with the sides she recommended and I have to say that what was in that chicken combo box.... was the best meal and customer service experience, compared to any other fast food place I have ever had. Friendly, Fast, and genuine customer service is hard to find these days, but the fact that the food was so good, is why I must give this Golden Chick in Princeton a 5 star rating, as I don't always give five star ratings, and I am a very critical person....so they earned it.
So I decided to give them a second chance and since I had never had their food other than the rolls. I ended up ordering a tender meal. It was good. I will say that Melisa har such a great attitude and had great customer service. Previous post: I love their rolls. They don’t have the best customer service
Lobby hours aren't listed on Google maps listing.. very inconvenient to show up expecting to walk in and find the only option is drive thru.. great chicken as usual but fries felt older.. they weren't freshly cooked. It was like they cooked too many and let them sit under a warmer.. not what I expect from the awesomeness of golden chick. We will definitely give them another chance though. 😏
Went there for the first time tonight. We got chicken tenders, golden roast chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. We all thought the food was good, but on the bland side for us. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. The order was correct and the folks at the drive thru windows were very nice. They seem to be good at what they do, but the food just lacked seasoning. We'll give them another try with some different items, but it was not as flavorful as KFC or Popeye's.
The fried chicken is good and surprisingly the catfish is good as well. I get the catfish more often when my boys want fried chicken. Adding on sides makes it pricey real quick so we do sides at home. The service is usually friendly and good. Drive through loves fairly quickly on most days as well.
Good food and friendly staff. I went drive thru so I can't speak to the atmosphere inside. The rolls are some of my favorite rolls. I did ask for honey and didn't get any, but that's okay as I had some at home. I did have to wait 6 minutes for a 12 pack of tenders. I'm grateful they were fresh though. Just make sure to check your order before you leave as they've forgotten other items in the past.
Picked up order week or so ago, items were missing called when I got home, out n Farmersville. Was missing my 4 rolls. I called back because wanted refund for it as was too far to drive back. Manager I spoke with was nice and she offered free combo meal. She stated just needed to give my name. Was in town tonight so I stopped by and as I expected that was not the case, manager working had no idea what I was talking about. Waited for him to contact manager I spoke with and was then told could just get the 4 rolls and gravy. Just would be nice if one manager promises one thing the other ones are informed. Next time they mess up just going to make sure get refund since communication not strong point here. Food is always tasty
I've been going here since the early 2000s. Can't go wrong with a big and golden covered in cream gravy and hot french fries. SOOO GOOD!! The service was kind and attentive. Tonight we ordered two sandwiches 20 minutes before they were to close. They were nice enough to take it. The food was delicious as always, however my boyfriend said his chicken patty was a little on the dry side. I do feel closer to close, they don't necessarily make fresher items, but it's totally understandable. They also forgot to toss in the zing powder packets, but thankfully I had some at home..
Only drive-thru service right now. Food is always great & service is good. Slight delay while chicken livers were being cooked fresh for us. We visit here quite often (their rolls are heavenly!)
Food wise Not too bad didn't care for the sweet tea but the spicy chicken was ok. The biggest issue is it takes someone 5 to 10 minutes to even recognize your standing at the counter. Instead of saying we'll be with you in a moment or anything at all they completely ignore you and then they try to help somebody that came in after you as if you haven't been standing at the counter for 5 minutes The employees need to do a better job with their customer service and now they handle business I could hear one of the employees laugh and shrug it off when I said that I had been there for 5 mins waiting. 👎🏻
Well I have had all great things with the new management and finally ice cream but ya'll today they did not give me the right amount on my family meal. Mind you I get it because it is just enough for my family so one of us didn't get chicken tonight. The chicken sucked to top it off. Tried to call I was sure they would make it right lik before the phone is never answered! Management must have been off tonight? EDIT CHRISTINA the manager was so great the next time I went in making up for the missing chicken!!
My wife and daughter go here. They like it. The lady on the speaker is super loud. Staff is nice. The guy at the pay window last night was super nice. Guy that handed us the food had no expression.
The chicken was rather bland and it was a bit greasier than i like. Not sure if it was the pieces or the oil they used to fry it, it was not dripping grease but did leave noticeable greasy residue on the plates. The mashed potatoes, along with their white gravy, was heavenly. Just the right mix of consistency and flavor. Three star rating because the staff was also very friendly and helped make up for my disappointment with the chicken. I would say if you are picky on your fried chicken this may not be the best choice.
Was awful got no rolls that came with the meal and had purchased another dozen since I have one Grandson that all he eats is the rolls. Tried to call after realizing didn't get this stuff and could never get anyone to answer. My husband went back which was over an hours drive there and back and they didn't have any told my husband it would be about an hour before they had any rolls. They didn't offer to fix it in anyway, my husband told him he wanted his miner back and told them if he had bought the dinner back she could have kept all of it. It will be awhile before he stops here again on his way home from work for dinner.
This is the only GC in Princeton. The service is good, nothing extraordinary. Although, every once in a while the wait time can be crazy long. The food is usually decent, consistent with other GC restaurants. However, there have been a few times where my food was old/soggy.
This location is okay but only if you're in a hurry. The staff is very curt and almost seems as if you're imposing upon them. The food can be good but half the time it's not. This location also doesn't stock enough items and never has things in stock. They routinely run out of items don't have them cooked or would take too long to have them prepped. Several times they have been completely out of rolls. The location is seen from the road but is a little more difficult to access due to the way the parking lot is set up. Parking is okay but though they do have accessible parking the incline on the ramps is a little high. The location inside is not clean very often and most of the time the bathroom and floors are dirty. Could you eat here yes do I recommend it no.
Ordered the fish and shrimp combo. When I got home, I was furious how small the pieces of fish were. Although tasty as always, it was the size of a chicken tender! What a joke for the price you pay. Very unsatisfied. I can’t say I’ll go back to this location.
Was really craving chicken and the other half wanted rolls so came here. First they forgot the rolls so had to turn around and grab them. Got home to find out we ordered chicken Jearky which I didn't Eben know was an option on the menu lol. Hopefully chicken express comes soon to Princeton as this may be my last time to this golden chick.
Last 3 times have been bad. 1. The customer service rep didn't know what was on menu. I placed my order and when I went to pay, she didn't have it right even though I reiterated it 3 times through the speaker. She was then rude when I cancelled my order. 2. Order 1 extra chicken and was charged for 3 extra. 3. Ordered a chicken salad and the cheese was moldy. Never going back again, such a shame.
Food is normal golden chick, good fried chicken. But waiting 20 minutes at the second window after paying with no one checking is mentioning it's going to take forever is inexcusable. They always seem to fail to plan for actually having customers even pre-pandemic.
I just went through the drive thru and ordered the 8 pieces of chicken and 1 side meal and 2 medium drinks at Golden Chick. It was $35!!!!! For 8 pieces of fried chicken!!! What the hell is going on here? The world has gone crazy with the charges for food. $35 ought to feed a whole family of 4 or 5! Fried chicken is/used to be a cheap meal. 8 lousy pieces of chicken, a side order of coleslaw and 2 medium drinks for $35! I will not go back at those ridiculous prices. Shame.
I found it odd that the livers meals are not on the menu to the drive-thru. However, I ordered the six piece liver's meal and when I got home to enjoy the meal it was obvious delivers were not fresh. I did not finish the meal. Everything else about this location has been outstanding and I will go back.
Normally I really like this place but for the last two times I went there I hated it. The first time my roll was half cooked, my big red tasted awful, they forgot some of my chicken an didn't give me gravy for my large mashed potatoes. The second time my chicken wasn't done. So its a no for me. I noticed the 2 older managers wasn't there so maybe thats why... but im just gonna go to a different location. (This was Princeton tx location)
Today decided to get the Butterfly Shrimp. First prices up $3 from last year for the 20 pieces. That's understandable during this time but only got 18 pieces! Fries were cold and the cole slaw was off. Also those prices went up too. Will not go back to this location. They took a while to fill the order and couldn't count and couldn't get the fries hot. The new guy was learning and he did good. Of course he wasn't the one filling the order!
Been here before and usually the food service is good. We Sunday night, saw a worker taking out trash at 9:38 PM. I asked were they still open. Went to open the door and they all were locked. I thought this place closes at 10. So I went across the street to get food
Ordered the fish it was bland and not hot eventho i was told it cooked to order. My daughter had the chicken sandwich she said it was good. Maybe next time i need to try the chicken because the fish ain't it
First thing I want to say is the staff is always nice ( I have no issues with treatment), but I do hold the business and ownership to a higher standard. Every time we go here, they never have certain menu items available. I usually request Chicken breast (Fried or Roasted), and it's never available. This is super disappointing, even when we come during peak dinner/lunch hours. The tenders have also been super tiny lately and haven't been reflecting the price charged. Also, always check your bag before you pull off. If your order has multiple items, usually something is missing in some way.
Golden Chick was our Friday night order-in restaurant this week. I have to admit I was disappointed, since I was the one who picked it :) My order had incorrect salad dressing & brown lettuce, missing gravy for mashed potatoes, and roasted Chicken was extremely salty from skin-to-bone. Best part of meal was the Wings! They were nicely crispy, tender on inside and perfectly spicy as advertised, zesty dipping sauce included. Although this was a to-go order, Service & Atmosphere have a 1-star due to attitude of the server we observed who muttered when we walked in (our order wasn't ready). Even though we received confirmation online a time to pick up. Also a disregard to other customers was visible. This was an unfortunate experience, as the last time we visited here some time ago, the food was delicious. And the portions were reasonable amount for the price. With so many chicken restaurants in the area, as a consumer I am looking for more quality & value in my purchase.
October 31, 2024 ⭐⭐ My wife and I went to eat at Golden Chick 🐣, and it was a disappointment. 😢 Once again, not a great experience with one of our favorite fast food restaurant chains. Our experience with fast food restaurants in Princeton, TX has been disappointing as we recently moved here. The rolls were tiny 🍞, and the service was extremely slow ⏳. Our entire order came out in a piecemeal fashion, not all at once! The manager even asked me to remind her about the other part of our order, which wasn’t ready until we were almost done with our food! 😤 Why should I have to remind the manager how to do her job and ensure she completed all the items I ordered? 🍽️😩 The ice cream machine was broken 🍦🚫, and the restaurant itself is super tiny! 😫 Plus, Google says they’re open until 10 PM, but they locked the door at 9 PM! 🔒 I even took a picture of the locked door. 📸😡 To make matters worse, the handicap parking isn’t even near the front door; it’s all the way in the back of the restaurant by the drive-thru, which seems like an ADA violation to me. 🚫♿ Overall, definitely not the experience we hoped for at one of our favorite fast food chains! This was our first experience at this location.🎃👻🍗😔
It was terrible!! The dinning room was dirty and booths hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Plus my food wasnt cooked all the way and the chicken wasnt cooked all the way and my roll was still doughy inside of it. Trust me i wont be eating at golden chick in princeton,Texas in a very long time.
They really need to get it together we pull up it’s only o e car in-front of is the car already we waited 10 minutes just to place a order now we’ve been waiting 30 minutes on chicken . They told me to park because they where waiting on my chicken she then comes out and says they have no more roasted chicken it’s going to be 15 minutes. Did you not notice it would be 15 minutes when I placed my order and that you guys where low. I’ve worked at a chicken place on Louisiana we knew how long it would take when we pulled up at the drive thru to be given the option . Well my husband had to go in and get the chicken . So sad but 10 cars came behind me left way before we did.
If I could give a worse review I would. Our orders of our food seemed small for when we usually get it, so we called asking about it and in response we got "Thanks for your opinion" and then hung up before we could finish our chat. This was not the first time we were upset with Golden Chick but we though maybe we'd try again. I'll continue to go to KFC.
Waited 25 minutes in the drive thru line and the line was short. They left out my side order of french fries. They usually only give a half container of gravy so I have learned to buy an extra. Just fill up the first bowl and I wouldn't have to buy a second. And tell the kid that fills the drinks to buy a belt. I don't feel like looking at his nasty underwear and watching him pull up his pants every 15 seconds. I've had enough, I won't be back.
Not worth your time or calories Got the chicken tenders, and they were kinda meh. Shouldn't have expected more from industrial deep fried. I was totally disappointed that the spicy chicken was just the regular chicken sprinkled with some spicy powder after it was cooked! Seriously? Why bother, just offer some Spicy sauce instead. The service was a bit slow, I had to "park" and wait for them to bring me my order. After the wait things got worse when I realized they had forgotten to include any of the sauces I had asked for and I ended up just eating the chicken plain. Really the food here isn't worth the time or money. Tried Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and it was almost exactly the same in every way (including the spicy powder over regular chicken, and failing to give me the sauces I had asked for). If I'm looking for chicken I'll just stick to KFC.
Roasted chicken is one of the favorites on the menu. Unfortunately it is near impossible to get. They are out of roasted chicken EVERY TIME I come here. I waited 28 minutes for them to make roasted chicken for me. It doesn't matter what time of the day, they are out. I am done. Not worth the struggle.
Bad food, aggressive staff at drive through on the fourth. Forgot items in my order and asked for the receipt for proof. The receipt showed proof of purchase and still fought me saying that I was wrong and didn't order my missing items. Horribly rude staff that needs to be fired Horribly long wait time Food tasted old
Here you’ll get the same amount of food in a happy meal for a two year old. And the price would be outrageous.I swear I don’t even know why I wasted my time going there. Never again after today!!! If you ask about a certain item on menu, you will get ignored. I ordered a 2 piece fish and dirty rice. Look like they cut 1 baby fish into pieces and gave it to me. That’s how small it was and then my dirty rice was go gummy and brunt on the bottom. So done with that place. Need to close down ASAP!!!!
Food wasn’t bad. It the excessive waits before and after ordering are disappointing. I wish Corp would review the cameras to see the productivity. Said at a empty drive through while they let the line back up and after waited another 20 minutes. I would understand if normal business but you can see them just chatting and trying to dodge the windows. Totally times 34 minutes windows from ordering window to exit. Total of 5 cars left during my order due to delays.
I just came through the drive thru I order the 4pc tender spicy with mashed potatoes and corn nuggets... They didn't have corn nuggets so I ordered jalapeno poppers. Got to the window and asked for ranch was told they didn't have rach so they gave me the zing sauce. I'm the bag was a bag full of ranch and non spicy chicken no jalapeno poppers....
SLOWEST DRIVE THEU OF MY LIFE!! I promise minimum 20 mi utes, lights not even on at dusk, had to ask them to turn on the lights so I could see the drive thru menu. Workers outside taking sunset pics when I pulled up so that should’ve been my hint. Each car at the window 3-7 minutes and one guy just drove off, tired of waiting.
Ordered family side of mashed potatoes and gravy w 4 rolls, got home gave my wife her food, she can't eat solid food right now, only to find that the mashed potatoes weren't there, this is unacceptable, nit a complicated order. Wish a manager where paying attention to the detail in which orders are sent out
Rating is no started! We have always gotten great catfish at the Princeton location and never minded the wait for fresh fish but don't bother getting any now because it doesn't take as long to get because there is no fish only breading. It totally sucked! And they changed managers!
I am so frustrated because we love golden chick, but am very disappointed with this store in Princeton. I made an order to pickup on door dash on my way home from work. After a long drive, I showed up and they had given my order to someone else who they claimed was me. They said they even confirmed the name. Somebody is wrong because I am me! I showed my door dash app, showing order details and that it was in process and nobody had picked it up, and even talked to the manager, but they were adamant that my order had been picked up and nothing they could do. I had to go through door dash to cancel and get a refund, which took awhile. The store was mildly apologetic, but they were not convinced I guess that my order was not picked up by the right person. The three people talking to me were not helpful or empathetic. I got the feeling they thought i was scamming or something. Guess that store just paid for someone's free chicken dinner. Ive never felt so gaslit! Was appalling customer service. Not sure I will go back.
We have long enjoyed Golden Chick food. We recently moved to the Princeton area and while i’m sure their products are as good as before I would caution about this particular location. Twice we have ordered from this store and twice our order was 100% wrong. When I called the store a young worker told me that’s impossible. No recourse. So our only relief will be to dispute the charge and order from another location. One lost customer will certainly not affect them but if more people have the same problem it will at some point. Need to pay attention to detail.
I went up there for my grandma to get two cups of ice and a cup of sprite, usually the cups of ice are like 60 something cents, but this time they tried to charge me $3 and some change for each cup and it came out to almost $12... For two cups of ice and a cup of sprite. It's super hot outside and we ended up having to go to Sonic....
If I could put zero stars I would. I placed an order online and my son picked the order up on his way home. My son not knowing exactly what was ordered brought it home and when I looked at it the whole order was wrong. I was charged for stuff that I didn't even order. And I also placed an order for a gallon of sweet tea thatvwe didn't even get. The chicken was hard and over cooked. The rolls were hard. It was horrible. If you try to call the restaurant, they never answer. I will not be placing any more orders online from golden chicken in Princeton. Worst service ever this happens every time we go here. After eating the meal that we didn't even order made all of us sick to our stomach. The chicken is always either way under cooked or way over cooked.
We have been here multiple times. Seems like they’re telling people that’ll it’ll be 5 more minutes just pull up. At 10 minutes guy comes out and tells us a little longer they’re prepping food. Ask him what’s the issue and all he says is “I’m just taking orders”. Terrible customer service amd we waited between being in line and ordering and waiting for our food in total over 40 minutes. In that time they handled including us 6 vehicles. And we were #2. If they can’t take orders then don’t take orders. Just spend your money elsewhere.
We placed our order and paid for it. They gave us the wrong items and charged us for the items that were wrong. Which was more than what we had ordered. I explained to the man that look like a manager that served us and he told me that I didn't order what I had ordered. He said I ordered what he had given me. I told him he was wrong and also both of the chicken tenders sandwiches we ordered not cooked all the way. I explained to him the problem and he asked me if I wanted something else instead. I told him yeah you need to make it right. So again he messed up the order and and did not want to refund the money from the first order. I have everything on film. It is the worst I've ever been treated at any restaurant in my entire life. I will never go back to Golden Chick in Princeton. Worst service and food ever. Also my granddaughter and I got sick from eating what little bit of the uncooked chicken that we were served. I will be calling corporate in the morning.
Went in around 4:30pm today and was baffled. The young staff was playing around unprofessionally and yet they want $15hr. You had guest waiting for their food for 20+ minutes. My chicken salad tasted on the verge of frozen. The manager, I assume, blue shirt, was the only one that professionally acknowledged anyone in there. My review is more for the atmosphere rather than the food.
Worst customer service. (Drive thru) Was told no carbonation for the sodas, no sweet tea available. Ordered 24ct wings (was told it would be a 10min wait (thats fine, freah is always great), while waiting for the wing order to be made, asked for sauce and was told to go back thru the drive thru, also no tea was ever made. This was not my only visit here with bad service but definitely my last.
Terrible customer service. They said that they'd be 12 minutes late on the wings. I asked for something for my wait. No, I wasn't entitled to it but to give a drink or an order of okra because of the wait is customer service. The man who worked there kept going back and forth about telling me in advance. I told them nicely that it was about customer service. They are highly lacking in acknowledging customer service and it seems to be a thing of the past. Hurry up and wait at Golden Chick in Princeton.
Waited 10-15 minutes in drive thru with no communication, truck in front of us drove off. Pull around to go inside and they immediately helped the car behind us. Nobody wanted to help me inside either. Counters were messy, no ice in lobby machine, no Dr Pepper syrup, straight water. Was at least 4-5 workers, not working on orders just standing around looking at their phones. I will not be back as this is not the first time I’ve had issues here but try to give places more than 2 chances to make a decision on being back or not.
My grand didn't like the food. We ask the lady if we can change food. She said that she had to call the manager. i told her I would pay the difference, but she said that she couldn't do that.... ask for a manager she didn't even answer.
Ordered the 6 chicken tenders, half spicy, half regular with gravy, fries and beans. Also ordered 6 wings. Paid, got to the window and was informed its going to be 7 minutes or so for the wings. I said I'll wait, 7 minutes later someone comes out and tells me the cook was changing the oil and it will be another 7 minutes. They offered to switch them for regular legs which I agreed to. They brought those out and said thanks "have a great day"...."hold on...what about the rest of my order? Oh...let me go get that". I got home, the tenders were not half and half, there was no roll, the gravy was not in a separate container, it was poured in between an empty one and over the tenders like it has just been slopped in. This was my first and last experience at this particular Golden Chick, I've always had excellent customer service and the food has always been top notch...but not this one. Terrible experience.
I was told to pull around because they were about to pull up fresh chicken... they brought out some inedible chicken jerky. Sucks when u waste money and end up still hungry. How do I get my money back?
So yall don’t take Apple Pay through the drive through but yall will take it inside loved the blank star I got from the guy at the window didint say a word to me was waiting for him to tell me how much I owed so I had to say something to get him to open his mouth won’t come here again I’ll just go to the one in McKinney thanks for nothing
Me and my family food was cold and seem to be old normally I’d check the food but since we moved out this way I’ve had no problems no where we’ve been , but I’m absolutely disappointed in the cold and old food we even wanted to try the funnel cake 1-10 hard the beans and rice were burnt as well
Get no spoon or forks with your meal evidently. Chicken not hot but barely warm. Not even half a small deal of gravy. Waited 10 minutes plus for a not hot meal. Manager says chicken sandwich comes with 5 pickles and i asked for none but got 8. Won't go back there again if the manager is gonna make cheap excuses for a not so cheap meal. Lazy......
Spent over $50 and the manager was so rude while I was ordering he seemed like he did not want to be there let alone taking my order. Then was told to pull around where I waited over 15 minutes.
Let me start off by saying. I know fresh fish when I taste it.. I ordered fish combo and wing not only was it small it was old and the MANAGER WANTED TO ARGUE WITH ME ABOUT THEM COOKING IT TO ORDER WELL IT WAS COLD . THE WINGS WERE OLD AND THE BREAD WAS AWFUL..Instead of her apologizing she defended the fact that it was old .. I am on my lunch break and you want me to come back… She was rude and refused to give a name so NOW REYNA H IS THE PERSON ON THE RECEIPT SO THIS IS WHO I BELIEVE WAS ON THE PHONE SINCE THEY A TEAM SHE CAN TAKE ONE FOR THE MANAGER
I went through the drive thru and started to eat a famous Golden Chick soft-mouth-watering roll while driving home and the rolls were stale and dried out. Never going back to this Golden Chick in Princeton.
They can be the most rudest people out there. If you hate your job that much go work someplace else. And to mention I’ve asked to have spicy tenders twice and they always give me regular tenders when I have specifically asked for spicy. Also they give you the smallest amount of fries I have ever seen and it’s disappointing.
Check your order before driving off. The staff can’t read properly. How many times do they give out the wrong orders? I will never be back. My dad’s on hospice and simply wanted a chicken breast with gravy. I got spice chicken strips that he can’t have. Sloppy business
Stopped by today because we saw this location on our way home because we were going to our usual spot but since we saw this location we said we would stop there. Terrible terrible terrible!! They got our order wrong and when I called the person who said she was a manager explained we had to drive back to Princeton and return this chicken and get the correct one. She said she would be able to refund the money but she put me on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up the phone. I called back no answer I called again no answer. By then I'm like they are looking at my number and not picking up so I had my husband to call and guess what? They picked up. WOW. A guy answered and I explained it to him and he was clueless and I asked where is the other lady who said she was a manager? He said she left. Whatttt??? What a total mess, no customer satisfaction or anything. The guy said he was waiting on the manager. He put me on hold and finally he came back to the phone and said we would need to bring the food back to get a refund. I wasn't trying to get free food or drive from Melissa back to Princeton. In stead I will write a review. Never going to that location again we will drive to the McKinney location at least they know how to take care of their customers. Someone needs to retrain that lady and make sure everyone knows customer service is how you keep a good customer. Also make sure your boxes on the outside can be readable. Repeat the order back. We will be more aware to check before leaving any drive through pickup.
Let me start this out by saying the staff is always super super nice and I don’t want to take anything away from them. But whoever owns this location is cheap as hell. They literally charge you $10 for two pieces of fish, but it’s really one piece of fish cut in half. It wasn’t always that way, and I don’t know when they started it, but they don’t have to worry about me ever returning!!
I visited the Princeton location today and I'm very upset. I ordered the 2 piece fish. It came with one side a roll and drink. The fish was awful. They sold me old fish. It looked and tasted like fish jerky. It was hard on the inside and didn't even look like fish. I have never seen fish that looked like this. It was inedible. They dont even give you a full piece of fish. Its basically one filet cut in half. The meat was brown colored, and this gives anyone reading this an idea of how old it was. I've had fish from Golden Chick before but this location needs to do better. The potatoes are bland. They only thing that I enjoyed was the roll. I was too mad to take it back. I just prefer to leave a review instead. I will be calling their corporate and I took a picture of the fish. I will NEVER go here again.
I wish I didn't have to give no stars at all. Avoid going to this restaurant. Look at my picture. I ordered the 2pc catfish meal that cost $10. The pictures on the menu shows 2 filets. I was sold 2 strips that was small like a chicken tender and giving a kiddie size scoop of mashed potatoes. This is definitely not work no $10. This place is highway robbery
terrible service. staff is always rude. they mess up your order and don't give you your complete order after paying nearly $60 for freaking chicken. I don't like Popeyes or I would go there. so this is the closest chicken location we have here. hate this place. I wish they would fire everyone and rehire better people. and this place is always dirty.
I spent over $50 on my kids’ dinner tonight 04/30/2021. I was indecisive about ordering raspberry lemonade as $9 seemed pretty steep for a drink I haven’t tried before. I asked the team leader if I could sample it in a water cup or small container but he said no. I could have spent almost another $10 at his store and left a happy customer, not the end of the world but for a restaurant that has been struggling for a long time with different issues and that needs to gain the customers’ trust back, might not have been the smartest decision. He turned around and refilled his 32oz soft drink, took a sip from his cup that had no lid as he walked through the kitchen once he was finished packing my order. Go figure for someone that was so concerned about food and/or paper cost and now is also in violation of health codes. Now the most important things, he served me 2 burnt-bottom-of-the- pan family size mac and cheese and the second employee that bagged the dinner rolls smushed them all with the tongs, he threw them in the bag as if they were for the pigs. It was very sad for me to have to serve that type of dinner to my babies. The city is growing rapidly and the clientele that might had been ok with that poor quality in the past is long gone. Shame on Golden Chick of Princeton, TX.
Pass!!!! This is how much mashed potato you get for $2.00. It was about the size of a gold ball and half of one, if even that. The bread said it’s made daily... well clearly not in the store. My chicken salad sandwich had bread that was hard and the chicken salad tasted like Costco’s, but five days old.
Where should I start? We went through the drive thru which took almost 30 minutes by time we finally got our food. Honestly, the wait time wouldn't have even been worth me posting, bc I understand people are short staffed. What I WILL complain about is the small ROACH I found in my mac n cheese, AFTER I had already taken a bite. By the time I saw the roach, my husband and I had already eaten most of our meal. While trying to choke back vomit, we tossed our food out IMMEDIATELY. I am thankful we saw this before we fed it to our 3 year old!!! I hope this is not a common occurence at this location... This is the dirtiest Golden Chick i have ever been inside. I had to wipe down my own table because when i ask them to they chuckled and said sure thing, AND...... NEVER DID IT. There was food on the floors, under the tables, just nasty. They were a tad busy but no excuse for being this nasty. 1st and last trip here. There are better / cleaner options.
