Delicious tacos and drink with friendly staffs.
I love this area of MX, Porta Morelos for its simplicity, the fresh as you can get fish and shrimp and beachside service! This area of MX beaches is one of my favorites. More laid back and quiet compared to Cancun or Playa del Carmen. A cozy little town with great places to eat, drink or chill on the beach. BTW if you're ever here during Dec. they have a really nice Christmas Market in the center of town. Cayuse is my favorite place to eat and hang out for the day of all of Porta Morelos. It is a outdoor sandy floor bar and restaurant with great views of the ocean. The staff are fantastic. Friendly, quick and helpful when trying to decide on what to eat. Even the cooks in the kitchen were hilarious making the day fun making cat noises, we loved it. We had the fresh caught snapper fried, cooked to perfection! Served with picante, rice, beans and tortillas. Delicious. The Ceviche was perfect as well, I love the lime and pepper version and this one did not disappoint. The chicken burrito was huge and delicious, I so love when the wrap has a little crust/char on it. Stuffed with tons of chicken, not a bunch of filler. Something to know as well, you can book snorkeling trips right at the restaurant, ask for Christian, fantastic guide, safe and very professional. Knew his stuff too, we saw turtles, sharks, rays, pompano, amazing to see all these and more in one snorkel day. Will I come back here? Oh yes, this is my sooo Go To anytime while in Porta. There is some parking inside the restaurant wall, more on the street and a lot next door that sometimes is open for parking.
Beachfront fresh fish tasty cocktails a slice of heaven. But a word of warning! I got to choose a really fresh fish as soon as it came in off the back of the truck (I am a chef and know what to look for) the cooking method ( smothering in a spicy salsa and cooking over a wood fire) was beautiful except they didn't bother to scale the fish and a mouth full of fish scales was a huge let down, only to be given a bill of 180 usd that was comparatively and unexpectedly quite high for two people for a fish dinner with beer and a couple of cocktails.
Cayuse is the best host in Puerto Morelos. Go there and enjoy the breathtaking view, savor delicious food, drink a cold beer, dance with your partner, sing along to the music, swim in the crystal-clear waters, soak up the sun, and when you return home, tell your friends about the incredible experience they're missing.
Stopped in for a drink while walking down the beach. What a great atmosphere. Place is literally built on the beach so we are talking sand floor, open air, smell and sound of the ocean. And the margaritas are awesome. Just what we needed on a hot afternoon.
Wonderful seafood and seaside restaurant! Fresh whole fried fish. Amazing! Jonathan is awesome. Delicioso! Highly recommend!

One of the best quesadillas I've had, it hit the spot. I just can't describe the feeling but I ate it in 5 minutes or so. I guess I was really hungry plus they had great service
We actually got our massages there, and it was something else. My masseuse Cecí was super professional! I almost fell asleep a few times, and when I woke up I was almost drooling lol! My husband also loved his massage. This is not a kind of a relaxing massage you’ll get in the US for $100. They work hard here! And what can be better than a nice rub on the beach, under palm trees and a pleasant Mexican sun? Amazing, 5/5.
This is the place to eat at in Puerto Morelos. Everywhere else is just hype or tourist trap. My wife and I stopped here after we flew in, on our way to Tulum. It was so charming that we even drove back the next day from Tulum. The big draw was that there was parking, and no need to pay for that. The food was excellent and fresh and the whole staff was beyond accommodating. Even when a storm came, they really made us feel as though we were at home. We had the fish tacos and lobster plate — all very good. We had they aguas frescas which was just what we needed.
This is my favorite restaurant in Puerto Morelos. I've been here three times already and the Ceviche is great. Cheapest price for Ceviche I've found in town too. Their salsa casera is to die for. Super friendly service. And you cannot get more Caribbean views than this. Must visit!
Super chill beach days with umbrellas, lounge chairs, table, food, and drinks. The entire staff was wonderful everyday.
We ate tacos here after taking a private boat with my two daughters and I to the meso american reef about 200 meters from shore. It was 45 us dollars. service was excellent. the reef tour included seeing lobster, a sea turtle, moray eel, barracuda and lots of fish. The shrimp was okay. The tacos were excellent. we had octopus, chicken and carne asada. The dark salsa had a nice kick, which I recommend if you like spicy food. we paid 36 and used credit card for the meal for 3, so this was a little more pricey. We ate upstairs with a nice cool breeze.
Great little family run restaurant. Views are amazing and the service is great. The salsa is addicting and the seafood is fresh. Not fancy but high quality and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
Just stopped in for a bucket of cervezas (5 for $150 pesos) and complimentary nachos. Had a good time talking with Jesús who provided excellent service.
We asked a local guide for something that was the local flavor and he brought us here. The staff was very friendly and the food was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The restaurant is located right by the ocean. Accordingly, I tried fish-based tacos. The tacos were good, but compared to the other mexican restaurants not my Favorites. I guess they have other really delicious dishes! :) It is possible to pay by card, which is also important to mention. Overall a good experience in Puerto Morelos.
If you’re looking for a place to eat and sit by the beach, definitely go to Cayuse. Beware that if you want use the tables close to the beach area, you have to pay an extra fee to restaurant. The food menu is simple but good and they also have a great variety of drinks.

Tacos Gonernador were excellent, but the fish dish tasted a bit muddy and came with grainy and raw tortillas. Service was great, but the massive problem was the terrible music. Heavy heavy reggaeton isn't nice music to eat lunch to. It was made even worse by a large party of people coming and playing their own, equally bad music inside the restaurant! We complained and the restaurant eventually turned off their music for a few minutes, then turned it back on again, recreating the soundclash. It was close to impossible to think let alone have a conversation.
