Awesome selection, great atmosphere and tons of fun. Perfect place for a wick weeknight brew or weekend fun!
Best selection of beer in town... Great place to grab a quick pint and hang out with friends.
The Alehouse is probably the best bar in Redding if you're a beer enthusiast. They always have a ton of amazing brews on tap of basically every kind. They have light ales, porters, a bunch of IPA's (my least favorite, but my friends who like IPA's Saturday they're good), and frequently at least a few sours. The vibe is chill, the music is good, and the service is friendly. It's a little spendy. Parking isn't the best, but they share a lot with a chain sports bar, so you can easily park there. That's it. That's the extent of the negative portion of the review. If you've got a few spare bills and want to try some excellent beers in a very relaxed atmosphere, go to the Alehouse.
"No crap on tap" is their motto. This is the defacto place to drink the best craft beer in northern California. You would be hard pressed to find another establishment north of the bay area that offers the quality and rare beers that The Alehouse has on tap, everyday. If you're looking for a light beer that resembles water more than beer, you'll need to go someplace else!
Great place for the craft brew lover. Old fashioned pub atmosphere. Beertenders are highly knowedgable about each specific beer. Great service and good prices. Always something different to try.
Craft beer without apology. 20+ on tap. Others via can/bottle. Staff are real people, couldn't ask for better. Something for everyone! unless you're looking for weak domestic lagers. no hard liquor either. Wont hear me complaining.
The Waldo's triple IPA is fantastic. Staff is friendly (And rather cute) (-: I only get to come here a couple times a year. I'm a truck driver. When I have the chance this is where I'm at.
If you enjoy quality beer. Especially barrel aged and barley wines. This is the SPOT. Hole in the wall. Quiet. Good chill music. Great place to just relax and drink.
It's small but cozy and they constantly rotate their taps so it's worth popping in regularly to see what's new. No food but they usually don't mind if you bring something from outside in. Once I had a pizza delivered!
Good place with a diverse tap list. No real food offerings, but a great place to grab a quick drink or two. Has some outdoor seating also.
Great service, atmosphere, and selection of beers. I really enjoy going to the alehouse when I get the opportunity, especially when they have events like their barleywine tasting and the iPad fest.
Great little pub. If you're looking for the best beer selection in town, look no further! The t-shirts say "No crap on tap" and that's the truth.
Really nice staff. Great selections. Bartender very knowledgeable about beer. You will be treated right.
Wow! If you are a beer connoisseur, you will like this place. They have several "big beers." Put on your big boy/girl underwear, and have one or two, or three....
Great selection of quality brews on tap, and the bartenders are always very polite and knowledgeable.
Great selection of beer. Friendly staff and casual atmosphere.
Great beer selection. Friendly people. Not much more you could ask for
Great selection of beers, clean and air-conditioned. Friendly service. What else do you need.
Best place for beer in Redding! Relaxed environment, great tap variety and Rob and his staff know their stuff.
Excellent place for a true craft beer enthusiast. Balanced offerings from BA stouts to hard to find IPAs. The owner claims to offer over 700 different beers through out the year and I 100% believe him.
What a gem to come across in this town in the middle of nowhere! Lots of craft brews on both tap and bottle, friendly and efficient service, great music playing on the stereo, and small and intimate atmosphere. If one is into the craft beer scene this is definitely the place to go in Redding. Highly recommended. No kitchen here though.
Love the beer selection. Even in summer they have something for everyone. Being able to order takeout from a restaurant and bring it in to enjoy with our beer was a major perk. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. 👌 🍺

Great beer selection and awesome owner. Loved trying this place. Owner is super knowledgeable about beer and an overall good human. Will definitely be back.
Alehouse Pub is a great local pub with the absolute BEST selection of craft beer. They even usually have sours on tap. The regular patrons are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the staff knows the answer to every question you can think of, including "what beer do you think I'll like?"
A bit hidden, though right out in the open, no food here, but you can bring it or have it delivered. Best dive bar scene I've stumbled on in a very long time. Stopped in 2x on our 4 day trip. Bar tender was awesome, she made it worth going back.
First, the selection of fine craft brews and rarities is outstanding. Wonderful selection for all. Second, Charlie, our tender for the evening is an excellent all around human. Her ability to communicate with her patrons far exceeds the attempts at tenders to the immediate north of this fine establishment. For a couple wonderful concoctions and friendly atmosphere, this will be my current choice...
By far my favorite bar in Redding. The selection of beers that the owner picks himself is amazing. If you love good beer, look no further. Atmosphere is always great and the bar staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Not super expensive either.
Stopped in because of the good music. Stayed for two pints + of great beer. Robert was both knowledgeable and friendly, offering excellent recommendations and insights into the craft brewing industry. A great place to whet your whistle and cool your heels.
The best. Been coming here for 13 years. Good Beers. The bartenders can help you pick out a beer based on others you had or styles you like. Very Friendly.
I was actually able to find an imperial stout and a dopple on draught in the middle of summer...that's a rare thing and worth the drive from Corning for a date night with a fellow brew afficionado. Fair prices and wide, well varied selection with a handful of good bottle choices just to cover the spread. It smelled a little musty like a dive bar, but the atmosphere was relaxing and people were friendly with live sports on the easily visible TVs. If you're looking for fresh draught of an out of season brew through clean lines... This is your joint.
Best Beer Bar in town. Always an amazing selection with new beers to try and the staff knows their stuff when it comes to what they are pouring. Always excited to see what new brews they have on tap!
Some of the rarest sours, and barrel aged beers I have ever found. Taps rotate to something different all the time. This is a great spot to catch the game and have some awesome beers, they also have a bottle shop for take home rare finds. They don't have food yet but will in the future after talking g to the owner Rob. Probably the best spot in Redding to get a good beer at a decent price.
Really great spot. Wish they carried more sours, but bartender was friendly and gorgeous. Good selection of standard (IPA) beers on tap.

This place is small... but the selection is always awesome and so are the bartenders... great place to go when you're in the mood for something new...
Been there a few times. Don’t really care much for the vibe of the place but I’ve had some killer stouts there! Pretty low key so it’s never been packed so I can still hear my friends speak even when they’re a tad slurred…. 🤙🏽
Beer was decent atmosphere was pretty good but our server Jasmyn was awesome. She was very helpful and at end of the night felt like she was a good friend. Would definitely go back and recommend it to others
Pretty chill spot at least 27 taps on right now, beers to go and a patio. Way too hot for that though, but their AC is amazing! Locals hangout.
Good beers on tap, including a few you probably won't find in other regions. Also good bottle selection. No food available, but you can bring in takeout. Friendly bar tender.
Good beers always rotating, typically pretty relaxing atmosphere. Only complaints : can get packed inside quick and parking can be questionable sometimes.
Nice little beer bar. Outdoor seating section. Great selection. Friendly staff. Great place to stop in for a beer.
Good place to stop in for a quick drink. Dont plan staying very long as they dont have a lot of seating. Great service though
We ended up here by chance on October 30th after we did the Nash Ranch Dreams of Darkness, so were wer in costume. Glad to the bar was full of costumed revelers, as well! A few ppl were friendly, not sure if it was bc everyone was already well-toasted or bc we were unfamiliar, folks seemed to know each other. Pleasant enough, we stayed awhile before our hour drive back south to the hinterlands.

Nice little place off the main road. Eclectic selection of brews. There is also other items for the non beer drinkers.

Dive bar with heavy metal music. Cute bartender and a good selection of beer on tap. If you are staying at the La Quinta Inn, it is conveniently located right across the street.

Surrounded by numerous hotels, that house mostly construction workers, freight movers, and road trip passerbys, this place exudes serious locals/working class only vibes. But with a craft beer twist. Better head to the liquor store if you want domestic. Unfortunately the execution is lazy and typical of a place that only cares to cater to their regulars who order the same things every visit. The place isn't big, and has their menu posted on a chalkboard in the center of the bar. It can barely be read due to poor lighting and the fact that someone thought it a good idea to use dark green chalk. 30+taps but don't expect them all to be available. Coupled with multiple taps dedicated to single breweries, don't expect as much variety as implied. The variety was objectively above average; 3 nitro, 2 sours, 2 ciders, a few IPA (no hazy), 3 Belgian strong but also decidedly skewed with 5 seltzers, 1 lager, and no red, brown, or pale ales. Most of the beers are from California breweries south of Redding. Ashame nothing was hyper local. Bottles were virtually non-existent. I'm sure the list will change somewhat in a few weeks to months, but don't expect anything else to. Bring your own food. Last call is at 1030pm. Be prepared to be outta there by 11 sharp.

No a good placevanymore drinkmselevtion is very limited. When Inordered drink that was bad taste they wouldn’t let me exchange it for another.
Ordered two drinks, the total being less than $20. Left the bartender a cash tip. I checked my account a few days later, and saw that I was charged $20 even. Meaning, the bartender added a tip to the receipt without my consent. Called the owner, or, a gentleman I assume is the owner and heard nothing back. Very shady and unprofessional. Be warry of this establishment.
