My girlfriend and I have tried every Thai food restaurant in the area and we both agree that Thai Hut is, by far, the best. The food is fantastic and the service is great, you always feel like an old friend when you walk in. The wait is never very long, even when they are at maximum capacity with a line of to-go orders. Words honestly don't do the place justice, stop in and see for yourself how amazing all the food is and how nice all the staff are!
My colleague and I had an excellent meal here! Drunken noodles were especially awesome. Service was super friendly and the manager really came through when I needed to track down a receipt a week later.
Best Thai food in town, in fact, some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Service is great, the place is consistently busy yet they take your order promptly and the food comes out surprisingly quick. This place is a no brainier, go give them a try.
If I want pad Thai I will come here. A down to earth with lots of flavor. Exited to have more of the menu. Parking may be a little difficult and seating could be better but it’s worth it. A must stop by if you are a fellow “Reddingite”
By far the very best Thai food you'll find within 50 miles. The lovely waitresses were the nicest I've ever had the privilege to be served by. If you haven't had the opportunity to treat yourself to one of their delicious meals, you are depriving yourself!
The service was great, the food was delicious and reminded me of home, I haven't seen many Asian restaurants since I moved here but for the first one I've gone to here it was good. This place is a great start for those who want to try Asian foods too, I highly recommend getting Pho or wontons
Delicious food! I always order the Larb, pad Thai and pad ki mao, green curry and another I can’t think of the name. All around the food is so great and the staff are so kind and welcoming! Thankyou Thai Hut
My wife and I thought Redding didn't have any truly delicious Thai restaurants until we gave Thai Hut a go. Walking in, it's busy and bustling and you can smell how good it's going to be. We had cozy outdoor seating and got set up with some Phad Thai and Pineapple curry. We found our staple Thai restaurant, and I hope you find it too. Let's give them even more business.
This place was delicious! The service was amazing, very friendly and courteous. We stopped by on our way through town and didn't want "fast food". We got the yellow curry with chicken, pad Thai with tofu, and two Thai ice teas. Pretty big positions too. Our belly's are happy and full. Definitely would recommend this place!
Thai Hut is one of those places where the food and service don't necessarily match the venue. It could easily be passed by because it is so unassuming. But you'd be missing out if you did. Locals all know this is like a hidden gem. Never disappointed in the food or service!
Thai Hut is BY FAR the best Thai food in Redding. My husband loves their green curry and I love their drunken noodles and their beef pho - their broth is super tasty! Also their chicken egg rolls are perfectly crispy and delicious. The staff there are always so friendly and professional.
We got our food to go, delicious flavors and great service.
This is one of my favorite places in the area. I usually go for the yellow curry, but everything I’ve tried is good. The yellow curry that I got a couple days ago is so flavorful and delicious, I had to leave a review. Some other favorites are satay chicken, vegetable pho, basil fried rice, pad pak, massaman curry, and tempura veggies.
incredible experience every time. we are long time enjoyers and we will always come back for more great friendly service and delicious meals. do not skip on Thai Hut.
The Thai food was excellent, with generous portions at a great value. The restaurant was busy with numerous takeout orders, yet the staff remained attentive and hardworking. Our server, Coco, provided outstanding service.
I came for the pho. And I've had amazing pho before, but this is my first time trying veggie pho. The carrots changed the taste of the broth vs meat based, but I really liked it! Depending on the integrity of a broth, I usually try it and then doctor with Sriracha, hoisin, etc. I never added anything to this broth. Like I said, I liked it. I'm going back.
Been there with 13 people and they were able to accommodate all without any issues. Food is very tasty. Thigh spice level is super spicy. Try only if you can handle.
Amazing! The Pad Thai could be the best my wife ever had! (And she gets that 50% of the time) We also had the drunken noodles and a delicious soup (can't remember the name). But the best.... oh the best was the Manapman curry! AMAZING!!
Had a delicious lunch here while killing some time in town. We are on the lovely patio with our dog, and the friendly staff were very kind in bringing our pup his own water. We ordered the lunch plate pad pak, lunch yellow curry, and the pineapple fried rice. All three were delicious, but in particular the yellow curry and pineapple fried rice were my favorite. The veggie rolls that came with the lunch orders were also excellent, not too large like many veggie rolls and they were very fresh and crispy.
The best Thai food in Redding with the best customer service.. in the photo is the D-1 Pad Kapaw with fried rice and ground pork, my go to!
What a excellent tasting Massaman Red Curry. The potatoes, carrots, and unions were cooked just right. The flavor is so good with a little peanut sauce in it. Great customer service. A must try!
This place blew our minds. A must when in the area. We got the pad Thai (amazing. Great peanut sauce flavor), red curry and Tom Kaa soup. The soup was so authentic and fresh it blew us away. Fresh ingredients made in an amazing home cooking authentic fashion. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I am never disappointed eating here. I always pick it up to go. Tables are hard to come by since they are so busy. Edit. Still a favorite but now they are open till seven. I just picked up dinner!!

Even if it’s a bit small, I absolutely love the vibe inside the store, and good god the food is so good, you absolutely HAVE to try the pineapple shrimp curry I LITERALLY fell in love at first bite

Love the Pho & house fried rice here. My friends all love different dishes here but those are my fave! The staff is always friendly and on top of it. The place is a bit small and they get super busy but they always take great care if their customers. I literally can’t complain about a single experience I’ve had with them. I only wish they had delivery because I would order here way more than I already do.
This place has amazing authentic thai food. Disappointing that they are closed on weekends
Not bad beef was a little not what I wanted I should have got chicken
Perfect lunch for the cold weather. We had a great lunch. Everything was delicious. We had the calamari, sweet and sour fried pork with fries rice and tofu yellow curry. We got pictures this time lol . A must visit if in Redding. The food is amazing. We ordered the pineapple shrimp curry, basil fried rice and yellow curry. All were so good. Too good that we didn't get any pictures. Can't wait to go back, thank you for the great food!!
First time here and it was great! So fresh and tasty. The food was great and plentiful, the service was a little slow, our salad came out first and about 12 minutes later, the final bowl of soup came out. All looked amazing but the timing should have been better simply because it wasn't that busy. Nice to eat outside on the patio. Will be going back soon and will most likely eat inside because it's supposed to rain... In California! Imagine, the best won ton soup imaginable. Truly worth a visit if you've never been!!
Great place to find some vegan options while driving up Northern California. The service staff was prompt and provided options for vegan meals. I tried their eggplant with tofu that was well prepared with a savory sauce. They have an outside covered area where you can eat your meal. Parking is available next to the restaurant. Enjoy plant based food.
We Often stop here on our way to Oregon. Today, we had Pad Thai and crispy chicken Salad. It was all very good and the service was very friendly. This is why we keep coming back.
A very solid little Thai spot. I got the lunch special, it came with curry, rice, salad and an egg roll all for $13.50. Good food. Good prices.
Great service, reasonable price. Green curry is above average, pad thai is too savory and would expect it to be drier with more seared flavor from the wok

Portions are a little shy on some dishes but I don't eat noodles but I can say with peanut sauce everything is good! I would recommend this little jewel i love it! It's a family owned small business. I will continue to support.
Thai Hut is a well regarded Thai restaurant in Redding and was even recommended by a local. That's about the best thing about it. The food is okay at best. If you like spicy, make sure that you order a step up because they go lite on spice. They go heavy on sauces so you'll find a lot of oil and wet stuff on the bottom of your plate. It's fine for the area but it's not great.

I read great reviews about this place but when I came here, the food was lacking. I ordered the combination fried rice. The rice was mushy, meat was bland, and vegetables were cut too large so they did not cook well, as seen in my picture. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish that day because everyone around me looked like they were enjoying their food. Service was wonderful but that is the only positive thing I have to say. They also charge 3.75% for card so maybe think about paying with cash.
It was delicious until… So yummy and tasty, I was in 7th heaven until I went to take my next bite, then a tiny black strand called my attention. I moved some food out of the way and found it was not a piece of bean sprout, it was a big black hair. I was done eating and threw away over half of my favorite Thai dish, Pad Thai. A pang of growing hunger and disappointment is all I feel. Goodbye, 60.11$.

Ordered pineapple fried rice, drunken noodles, basil fish, and egg rolls. This was all take out and as far as I’m concerned the service was decent. The food however was grosser than Panda Express fast food. The pineapple fried rice was bland with absolutely NO pineapple. There was a few pieces of old tasting shrimp and scattered cashews in it and it was curried with absolutely no flavor of pineapple. What’s the point?! The fish was like frozen fish sticks in another bland sauce... all soggy and cold. We were told to come pick our food up in 40 minutes and we left early to pick it up. We live 5 minutes away so it shouldn’t have tasted like it had sat out all day. The drunken noodles were decent. Fair amount of vegetables and a bland but enjoyable flavor. We ate all of that. The egg rolls tasted like rotten meat. I’m not sure if there were bad vegetables in them or if it was like an old fish sauce they used but I was so grossed out! And I’ve never been anywhere where the egg rolls don’t taste good. Again this was all take out, but I was really disappointed. Maybe they are better when you sit down to eat there? They are so close to us I wanted to make this one of our “go to” spots. May try again, I’ve heard good things about them... and most reviews are good. Just no luck tonight.
If this could be a negative star review it would be. We ate here the night before my partner's medical board exams after driving three hours into town. Both of us ordered the drunken noodles and veggie egg rolls. That night, he came down with severe food poisoning--violent vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and dehydration--while I had stomach issues as well. He was so weak he couldn't drive, and it absolutely impacted his exam performance. This wasn't just an inconvenience; it derailed a critical, career-dependent test for an actively practicing surgeon who doesn't get much time off. We couldn't call the next day because we were still recovering and he was tied up taking an 8+ hour board exam. On top of that, we had another three-hour drive home, not getting in until midnight. When I finally called two days later, the staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and shockingly rude. The woman put me on hold to help another customer, then said her manager would call me back. After waiting over five hours with no response, I called again myself. Even after explaining that my partner is a doctor and the timing was clear (we ate lunch around noon, then nothing until Thai Hut at 4-5 pm, my stomach issues were onset almost immediately after we left, and he was violently ill by 9 pm) the manager refused to take any responsibility. Instead, I was told it "wasn't fair" to say it was their food and implied we were being dishonest or just after money. For the record, the meal cost $55 with tip. No one goes through this ordeal for a refund--it's about principle, accountability, and customer safety. If we don't hear back soon, we'll have no choice but to dispute the charge with our bank. This experience turned a high-stakes weekend into a nightmare and showed zero responsibility from the restaurant. If you value your health or basic respect, I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
