What a gem!!! From the delicious oat milk latte and the scrumptious egg avocado toast that I devoured, to the incredible artwork and unique interior design… I just loved every single thing about this place! Not to mention the warm, relaxed and welcoming vibe! All staff were so kind and friendly and I felt most at home at Katan. Thanks for being here! I will most definitely be back!

Perfect lattes and delicious pastries. Chill neighborhood vibes, low key and great place to catch up with a friend or do some work. It’s decently sized too - a dozen small tables and a sofa/sitting spot at the end.

This place is so cozy and lovely. It’s not a laptop zone - it feels like the kind of place where you actually want to sit and chat with a friend. I love the sunny outdoor seats. It’s also big enough for a stroller to get in and out easily! Very friendly staff as well. Love this place and hope it does well. 🩵

I won’t rate lower to be nice, but please don’t charge specialty coffee prices for generic coffee.

Overall an excellent place, clean, has a nice rustic old-timey decor. Not too overwhelming. Drinks and food are bomb. Only flaw is the last time I was here the girl in the front with light brown hair legit made me stand there for over 2 minutes while she was right in the front pouring iced coffee and opening the fridge. She was an inch away from the register and didn't tell me to give her a sec and didn't even say Hello. Kinda unprofessional and she needs help with Multi-tasking. I've worked in Cafe's before and Multi-tasking is the Key to being a great Barista/Cashier. For that reason, I have to take a Star away from you guys. Kinda disappointing, Someone's gotta train her better.

Barista is very kind, but I can’t recommend the food. Waited 45 minutes for a severely disappointing and partially inedible breakfast sandwich.

Really inconsistent place as every day is different barista there - some make coffee super dark and strong while some as you just ordered milk foam. Also, a barista with SM inicials needs to fix her attitude.

I came in to try their egg n cheese sandwich and was really disappointed. It was very greasy and the 'egg' portion was very bland and rubbery. It felt like the egg was synthetic or had been microwaved. I think it must have been overcooked, because it took a while. They charge way more than a bodega for their egg n cheese, when a bodega's tastes way better. I definitely do not recommend!

I am sad to write this review as this place used to be one of my favorite local coffee spot in the neighborhood. I was there yesterday and saw a barista kick out this girl for not ordering anything. She was not bothering anyone just sitting on the couch catching her breath. she seemed to be having a bad day. While I understand as a small business you want people there not to just linger and to buy something etc. it is rude and honestly classist of your staff to immediately kick out someone for not ordering something right when they walk in. Also not to mention it wasn’t even busy… this place used to be a very chill spot, friendly baristas and a good third space. Now it’s just like very other upright GENTERFIED business taking over the neighborhood and pushing out the locals. Shame on yall. Do better!!

Waitstaff and service was friendly, music was good but there was a dead cockroach just under my chair which grossed me out and made the super mid, chunked ham and cheese croissant I was eating taste even worse.

Cute spot but have had some disappointing coffee experiences, largely just that if you’re charging higher speciality prices the drinks should at least match the order— I’ve tried coming for a cortado twice and both times received a piping hot (too hot to hold) cappuccino at ~$5.40

Everything is okay here all I had was coffee but the attitude of the girl in the front just isn’t it all ! This is a new place many people are coming here for the first time to try it out and your attitude towards your customers makes a huge impact as to whether they come back or not!

bad service, staff is rude

Ordered a chai latte today and lady at the counter had been staring me down me down the whole transaction. Weirded out honestly.

Got a salted caramel matcha. Walked in was mainly empty 😅. Lady barista didn't seem to want to welcome me. Didn't bother to ask if our drinks were to go or not. But noticed when a white customer came in. She seemed more then happy to serve her.

Happened a few months ago but thought I'd share my experiene. Walked in to a half crowded shop, Barista looked at me and said nothing at all. Continued to stand around as there was no customer to service. A simple 'welcome' would have sufficed. Honestly felt extremely un-welcomed. I walked up to the counter and stood there looking at the menu and the barista continued to say nothing to me. I just walked out. Really sad since it's across the street from me-- I won't be back.
