Jennifer from the night crew was the absolute BEST! So sweet and awesome to talk to, we had asked for a couple of creamers with our order since we were going on a camping trip the next morning and she DELIVERED! Not only did we get creamers but we got a lot of extra goodies as well that we didn’t even think to pack! Overall one of the best whataburger experiences I’ve had and I’ve been going for easily 15 years!

Excellent service very friendly always a pleasure. The mushroom Swiss is my favorite burger.I always order extra mushrooms. I had forgotten about my grilled onions and drove all the way home I called asked if I could drive back for them and Paul said yes no problem. Such a nice guy. Would recommend Wataburrger Roanoke.

One of the best drive thru experience that I have had! My order was ready in less that 5 minutes. Although I had to wait a little since I ordered a specialty burger, I didn't have to wait long! I don't usually come to this Whataburger location, but I will most definitely be coming here from now on!

Excellent customer service. As I was walking up an employee was entering the building ahead of me. He was fast enough ahead where you wouldn't expect him to hold the door open for me but he did. The cashier was awesome and friendly and we had our food delivered to our table with a condiment tray. I had to look around and make sure I was in a day food burger place. Staff was awesome, and of course the burgers were good too. This location is run the right way.

Hands down the best Whataburger I have been to in a while. I regret to say in a while...but it's true. The food was fast and fresh and the staff was on it. I was raised in the fast food industry with a parent that owned a fast food restaurant and let me tell you this is how it should be done. This level of satisfaction shows customers you appreciate them and care about the food that the customer unwrap and enjoys. Great job!

Was a very short line to order but when going to pay they had the orders mixed up. They wanted me to pay for someone else’s meal that was cheaper then mine and had to explain that it was not fair that someone else got over charged for their meal and that I couldn’t take advantage of someone like that. They re entered my order so I could pay the correct amount and I asked them if they were going to refund the other customers order. They couldn’t answer me and the manager walked away I know this is little but it has a big impact on trust in the community.

I have visited hundreds of Whataburger locations throughout Texas and I finally visited the Roanoke location after working in this town for over 3 years. I was not disappointed. Immediately greeted with a warm, "Hello" and a friendly smile. The cashier was attentive to my order details and his suggestions took my experience to a new level. I was quite happy with the burger, tge fries and especially, the onion rings. I am so glad I visited this location and cannot wait to come back. I hear their Patty Melt is wonderful. We shall see...

I must say, my visit to Whataburger was an absolute delight! The cashier was most attentive and efficient, and the food arrived hot and fresh in a timely mfresh. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience and shall certainly be returning to this fine establishment. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Well done, Whataburger!

This is the best Whataburger in my area, hands down. My nearest Whataburger is the one farther down the road on 114 near the Speedway, but the service at that one sucks so much that I have no problem making the effort to drive a few more miles east out to this one. The staff here have always got me my food in a timely manner (I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes) and have never disappointed. I hope they keep it this way. I believe the negative reviews are coming from people who are either being too harsh or they caught this place on a bad day. Hey, even the best cannot be perfect. If you're in the area and had to choose between the Whataburger near the Speedway and this one, don't waste your time with the former and go to the latter instead. I can't guarantee 100% you won't be disappointed, but you'll definitely have a much better chance at getting good service.

Great for a late night snack. The people at the drive thru are always very sweet and helpful. If the line is long, it always goes down real fast because they immediately switch it to two lanes. Inside the restrooms are clean and dining area too.

Excellent fresh breakfast on a bun. The service was great and I can honestly say I have been to alot of Whataburgers but this one made a perfect breakfast sandwich. Alot of times the eggs are overcooked a little.

All Whataburgers take a bit of time to actually get your food made. I don't know why people complain about this. It just means they have to cook it fresh, unlike some others. Who (I'll be nice and not name) but have it already precooked sitting in A vat of greasy water or under a heat 🔦 lamp ugh!! 😝 You get the 📸 picture....you get what you pay for ? Well, you also get what you wait for you? Great choice, this one!!!!

I was so glad to visit Texas where I can get a Mushroom Swisw Whataburger!!! I so have missed these burger cause we live in Utah and don't have one there!!! This one was good cause they did load the mushrooms if you ask for them!!! Staff is friendly and with the way the food market is these days this staff was nice and great through drive-thru!!!

Look, if I'm going to complain on Google for bad service, then I'm going to go out of my way to compliment good service. It's Halloween. They're slammed in the drive thru. The dine in lobby is steadily busy. The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY. Joshua (on receipt) was really nice, brought my food to me, really really courteous. Food was piping hot and fresh. This is now my favorite location, hands down. Thank you Roanoke WB for a great experience, good food, and a moment to relax after a night of walking kiddos around trick-or-treating. Much needed comfort food 🥰

I had a great experience at the Whataburger in Roanoke this past Tuesday evening while picking up a DoorDash order. I was told the order was complete, so I grabbed the bags and delivered it to the customer. Shortly after, the customer called and let me know that about half the order was missing. I went back to Whataburger, and the staff immediately stepped up to make it right. They quickly and kindly remade the missing items and were very understanding. I really appreciate their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure the customer was happy. Great service all around!

Friendly and accommodating, this restaurant is run well. Bathrooms are always clean, tables are wiped off and I don't see anyone having to wait for more than a minute or two. One morning my debit card was declined and they were going to give me my order - but I paid for it another way.

We usually visit late at night. The staff has been happy and upbeat. The service has improved vastly over the last couple of months. The good is good. It's Whataburger - it's expected. We don't normally go inside. The drive through most quickly enough. I wouldn't say it's fast but it isn't too slow. Overall a good experience. I would recommend it.

I live right down the road and somehow this location always does something… specific to online ordering the service is always poor. On multiple occasions do I get there on time, wait for 40 minutes or mor with items always forgotten or food cold on arrival. It’s not even worth talking to them because there’s never a corrective action made, staff is rude and give me the same unhelpful response saying “well there’s nothing I can do about that.” This Hometown Whataburger isn’t worth the trouble, it’s just depressing visit every time I come :(

This is an update to my first review. It was not busy this time, and there was only 1 car in front of me. Order it at 4:05 pm, paid for it at 4:08 pm, and did get my food until 4:28 pm. I was asked to move forward 7 minutes later after paying. 4 cars behund me got their orders. It took over 20 minutes to get my order. When asked what took so long, I was told that they forgot my order. The next update will be 1 star. Might get your order wrong when they are busy. Order the number 13 only got one piece of chicken i called the person that answered told me to go back and they would replace and give me extra for the trouble, i get there and the manager was so rude she treated me like she was the one doing me a favor for replacing me the 2 pieces of chkn and refused to give me a lil extra like they told me. I went ahead and drove off, but I will never ever return to this store again. I like Whataburger but the Whataburger in Roanoke will never see a dime from me again.

Absolutely disgusting are the only words I can even come up with to describe the experience I had. First the Manager was rude and he didn’t even give us what we had order and then whenever we kindly ask for the correct items he has the audacity to have attitude as if though he wasn’t the one who forgot it in the first place. So we receive our items and finally go home to find soggy fries and MOLD on a sandwich. Honestly I’ve never been more disappointed in a meal then tonight and I hope I’ll never experience anything like that again.

In spite of numerous employees no one was helping any of tthe people in line. Eventually employee tarrentz walked up to the register, he did not great us or even ask what we wanted, just stood there, we placed and order while he had a bothered surly scowl the entire time. Finally Michael walked up to the register, smiled and asked how he could help us. Michael deserves a promotion to manager, he is on the right path. Tarrentz and the others may need to go back to customer service training.

The employees could care less about being fast. It is called fast food after all. They need to change the name of Whataburger to Waitaburger. All locations are slacking these days!!!!!

First 10 min in a slow moving line, then waited for my grilled chick sandwitch like 20 minutes AFTER I PAID.... slow as hell... 7 cars that were behind me got their order before me... They told me to move twice from one spot to another spot and keep waiting... This is called FAST FOOD for a reason... people got places to be and things to do... Its not for the quality of the food its mostly for the fast service which in this case was a complete fail for me... Plus I GOT CHARGED TWICE after I left...

Once before I got home with the kids meal, which I had requested lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, & onions, a while back. I had waited in a long line at the drive through. Tonight it happen twice again. This time I checked it before leaving. I told the long blond haired boy. He went back to get what I ordered. I expected the second time to be correct. I didn’t double check him this second time tonight. I got home and once again my burger only had pickles. You are suppose to be able to add the vegetables your child will eat. It took about one hour and I was not driving back again. I can fix something at home that fast. Do not like driving again in dark. Whataburger may need to train employees how to fill orders. I looked at the slip on the bag. The man taking the 1st order did not enter it correctly. Thing snowball without training or concern. Long lines with waiting at this location.

Utterly ridiculous service this morning. I was running late for work and decided "screw it, I'll be a couple minutes later if it means not working 8 hours on an empty stomach". I pull up, order two Honey Biscuit sandwhiches, and everything is fine. While waiting for the two cars ahead of me, I call into work and tell them I'm going to be late. (Was it ethical to do so while waiting in line at the drive thru? Not really, but I would have been late regardless). The cars ahead of me pull off before I can finish, so I hang back for maybe 45 seconds before pulling up. Nobody is there. Ok, that's kinda weird, but maybe they had to go do something. I wait a couple agonizing minutes, each second passing making me later and later. Nothing. I even see a couple people pass by, not even looking at the drive thru window. I'm frustrated by this point, and honk my horn. I know from experience you can hear that from inside. Nothing for another couple minutes. Entirely peeved, I honk my horn again, wait 30 seconds, and finally give up, driving off to work, even later and with nothing to show for it. I work in a food service establishment with a drive thru. I know exactly what is and isn't acceptable behavior, and whether or not a wait is justifiable. That was completely and totally unacceptable. I don't care if it was early in the morning, I work at 5am too; I would certainly never do that. I was basically told by this Whataburger establishment to screw off because I made the drive thru employee wait an extra 45 seconds. Waiting 5 minutes for your order to be ready is understandable. Frustrating, sure, but not their fault. But this? Not even getting service? Ridiculous. Whoever was on shift at 5am on Saturday, October 12th should get a long and hard talking to. I will always give grace when it comes to things outside a service workers control, or if they're overwhelmed, but this was just pure contempt and apathy. I've had a pretty consistently solid experience before this, but I'm very, very unlikely to ever come back after this.

We waited in the drive through for over 20 minutes. When they brought the food, theu forgot the drinks. They didn't give us any ketchup, they even asked what ketchup we wanted. They also didnt give us napkins. The food was all cold once we got it as well. The frys taste old as well.

One junior burger and fries. Only one person in front of me. We have been here 16 minutes. I asked for no salt on fries. They have salt but I’m not waiting for new ones. Worst service I’ve ever had at this location. She said the kitchen was cleaning!!!

When I ask for fresh fries…I expect “fresh fries”. Your food quality was tops in the 80-2000’s. When you guys sold out to the Chicago group…your service and food just took a dump. Myself and my families hard earned money will be spent elsewhere from this point forward.

Staff is highly unfriendly. Associate behind the counter has cussed multiple times in front of customers loudly. Service was subpar, and food was less than average. I love whataburger but this location does not do a good job when compared to the others.

Went to this place worse whataburger experience I have ever had i just moved to the area I will not be back to this place again left cheese off burger fries where cold manager come out in the front not acting professional at all we all heard it plain as day out in the lobby my drawer has been short past three day and u all are over not professional at all than I had to stand at counter to get help 3 employees looked at me and walk back to back this places needs to be better

I order on the app a burger with cheese no mustard extra onions and extra grill onion , the cook put mustard on the burger no cheese, went back inside show them what I got on my order the supervisor was back there all his did clean the meat from the mustard and slap the cheese in it and he said order is ready we talking about a leader here not just a cook terrible experience. Not going back to this place

I was there from Irving to have dinner with my son. We were like the only 4 people in the lobby. We were there for dine in. Food took like 10-15 minutes to get our order. #5 and fries side of gravy Patty melt and fries. The hottest thing on my tray WAS THE GRAVY!!! Burgers were cold n burnt on the edges. Lettuce was from the core. It sucked!!! To say the least!! Ohhh!! Not to mention the bathroom...I had to use the stall and under the seat had not been cleaned in a shift or 5. I will never eat at that location again!!!! Avoid it like the flu that's going around!

As a longtime resident of Trophy Club, I can say this location used to be great. It is no longer even good. The service is terrible, the kids are far too busy to bother 🙄. When you do finally get your food it's horrible. I'll drive 20 minutes if I decide to get Whataburger, or better yet have you been to Hat Creek ?

Biscuits were burnt and on top of that it was moldy, manager was rude, gave us normal ketchup when we asked for spicy, fries were limp, and it took 30 minutes when they said it would be 7

This is an image of how my food looks after getting it home. I ordered a chicken strip meal along with other item. First I did not get my medium frys. When the young man went for my fries I looked at my meal and noticed my extra chicken strips were not there I tell the young man. He goes in tells the manager and she sends him back it to tell she put them in the box and she was not giving anything. I tell the young man to please get me his manager and I asked her to please show wher in my order did she put my strips. She made me go through every bag to find them strips that were not in my bag. She did get me my strips after all my bags were ransacked. Just very disappointed with the manger searashe basically called a Lier. I love this place but this has left a sour taste in my mouth

I’m giving one star because of the service! The girl who was running the drive through did not have good customer service skills she was very annoyed when we were ordering our food. She seemed like she did not want to be there. I wish corporations would stop hiring young kids who don’t have people skill! I hope management is seeing this comment and something is done.

Food cold even though you wait for it to cook, not sure how that can be... Didn't get any of the ketchup I asked for. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger but received no bacon. Cobb salad had bacon, but it was 1 strip literally about 2 inches long, so essentially no bacon as well. This is just my recent visit, don't feel like explaining all the other lousy visits and what happened, this is just the latest one were I finally felt compelled to leave a review. Will update my review if things change, but my track record with this Whataburger overall has not been great so I don't see my review changing any time soon as my negative experiences far outweigh any positive.

Don’t waste your time. Ridiculously long wait. I was the only car in the drive through yet they made me pul to the front and wait. 15 minutes later I left without the sandwich I ordered. Had to go back to work. Insanity,

I came through the drive through yesterday and told the young woman working the window that I wanted to use my rewards points for my meal. She acted confused, then said okay. Today I noticed my card was charged after she scanned the app, and the points weren’t deducted. There’s more added from yesterday’s purchase. These employees need better training.

Came here to get some milkshakes with some friends and the night staff was incredibly disrespectful as well as an attitude. We then ordered some French fries, it never came out and we had gone up to ask for them with receipt! They then thought it would be funny to bring us anything but the French fries and laughed in the back. At first we brushed it off but it kept on happening to the point where it was just straight up disrespect. When they FINALLY brought us the French fries and we said thank you not in a joking way by the way and they walked away without acknowledging us.

This Whataburger location was incredibly disappointing. The food tasted old, almost as if it had been sitting out for far too long. Everything had that heavy, oily flavor that comes from using old or over-refried oil, and several items were served cold, which made the experience even worse. The overall quality was honestly unacceptable — the meal was unappetizing and, at moments, downright disgusting. I truly hope this location reevaluates its food preparation standards, because the current state is far from what customers should expect from Whataburger.

It's normally pretty good put today around 1:40 a.m. I went in and got a number 20 breakfast burrito with bacon open it up so I can put some ketchup in it and noticed bacon is barely cook Pink as could be.

Spent 10-15 minutes in the drive-through at 1a on 1/21, just to get burnt fries that sat too long in the fryer, or got put back in to "reheat" them. Which didn't even help. Both the burger and the fries were lukewarm.

Usually my go to when in the area and want something quick and easy. Staff Usually quick and can get orders correct at this location. At a recent stop they disappointed. How can you forget to put the meat in the burger? One bite in I'm thinking there is something off in the taste. Second bite to try to determine what it could be. Open the burger to confirm. No meat. Lol.
