One of if not the most chill bar in Rochester. Pop punk vibes inside with local love music. Outside patio with a campfire. Needless to say it's lit

As cozy dive bars go, Lux isn't crazy busy on a Monday night. But if you're looking for a quiet, low-key drink, it's hard to beat.

Fun ring and hook game in the outside area. Drinks are a bit pricy but to be expected.. just pregame. Good vibes and good staff.

This is a great place to hang outside! They have lots of covered outdoor seating, it started to sprinkle while we were there and we didn't even notice. There is also a fire pit. The staff was friendly, we were there early on a Friday night, there was free sheet pizza for anyone to help themselves to. Inside there is a twister type game painted on the floor and some other games scattered about also. There is an interesting crowd here, we enjoyed ourselves and it was great to be outside and have a drink too, they even trust you to bring your drinks outside in a glass, I like that and prefer a glass to a plastic cup! They also use paper straws, they're strong and sturdy and don't become soggy, kudos to caring for the environment!

I do have to say that the female bartender with the dark hair was extremely rude I understand that it was very busy but if you can't handle a busy atmosphere then don't be working in it. The DJ was awesome. The atmosphere was great the people were great that were there everybody seem to be really having a very good time we went this past Thursday August 24th

Dicey dive bar. The clientele changes but the regulars stay the same. Heavy drinks and a likely bout of everything including debauchery.

I taught a friend how to play Canasta and met some people I had met in the past through another job. I like that they have board games I also like the dark atmosphere! It reminds me of when I performed live at a bar in Buffalo *Diablo "

We love this place!! Not fancy, but you always know what to expect. Bartenders are nice, the bathroom is fun (yep, I said that), and their taps are fresh and clean. If you like fun and ecletic..its the place to go!

Very much a dive bar and I love every bit of it. They are unashamed to be weird and awkward and their own thing. A very eclectic place and crowd. The bartenders were friendly and the shows are fun to go to. Worth a visit!!

They had karaoke that night (a Wednesday) and both the inside area and the outside area were both poppin! Lots of dancing and fun vibes. And the service was quick!

They really take care of the community as a whole here. The gay bars here in Rochester I can say are not at all good for the whole of the community as they claim and not all up to the caliber of how simplistic it is for the crew at Lux to just simply be a COMMUNITY establishment. Lux is truly a gem in Rochester. They don't have to falsy advertise being one either. They just are. There are only a handful of actual community bars and have to say Lux is the best. The gay bars could take note from Lux as they are truly not welcoming places. Why a good portion of the patrons at Lux are LGBT+. So nice to see such a mix of people with no hang-ups. No real agendas. Just Lux being awesome.

It's spacious with good awning coverage. Has a fire pit which was an awesome feature and wood that you can grab from The back fence. Had a great time. Try the warm apple cider. The perfect drink for fall weather. I will be making this bar my regular destination

Awesome dive bar with outside area open all year, love being able to smoke by the fire even when it's cold out. You NEED to try a cheeseburger shot. Gets very crowded on weekends or with live music. Still a Rochester gem!

Lux advertises itself as a dive bar, and it is! We made a visit recently at 4:30 pm, met a very friendly door bouncer, encountered some friendly people at the bar, met a very large dog who was one friendly puppy, and had a nice visit.

More of a dive bar, but great staff. With my spinal fusion... I can't sit in just any chair. They were SO accommodating to me and my wife with my needs. I was able to bring my own folding chair that I know works for me... which allowed me to be out with my wife and our local friend for several hours... something that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. THANK YOU! 🤩

Lux lounge has so.e of the cheapest drinks in town. LGBT friendly space with hard working staff. No food is served here but they do have food trucks stop outside regularly and they have never stopped me from bringing in my food. Each day of the week offers something fun. Personally I enjoy karaoke on Wednesdays and occasionally craft night on Mondays. There is a new event help here called Lux Art Fux, where local artists gather to show off and sell their creations. There is also a model for this event that patrons can do sketches of. The decorations are unique and eye catching.

It's ok. Very specific kind of crowd. Not exactly friendly people in there. But pool table is nice. Plus outside seating and fire and comfortable couch inside.

Cool place if you’re in your 20s or early 30s. Not much to it.. takes a while for drinks. Cover fees are on the board so be ready for that.

Usually when we arrive the bouncer is drinking at the bar and only asks for our IDs after we get our drinks.

second time i come here & someone is racist & microaggressive towards me. bartender kept insisting my Arab last name isn’t what i said it was? make it make sense.

Shoutout to the one bartender (with the sideburns) he's my favorite bartender in the city. I come here quite often because it's scuzzy, weird, and drinks are cheap, which is my favorite kind of bar. That being said, I believe the owner bartends and she's VERY rude. Written some reviews about it before, but I'll keep doing it, I don't care, I know I'm not the only one. My friend came to the bar after I had been there for probably 10 minutes and hadn't been served (I'm paitent I'm not complaining, they were busy) but she comes over and serves him first. My friend says "oh, my buddy was here first, could you serve him first?" And she glares at him and storms away. Only unpleasant person you'll run into at this bar and I really wish they gave a shit what people say on google reviews.
