Uno dei ristoranti storici migliori di Roma. Piatti unici della tradizione romana. Unoca sorpresa del pane casareccio, anziché essere messo sul coperto, voce comunque presente, è stato già trovato a tavola ed è costato 6 € a persona.

Esperienza fantastica! È stata la prima volta che ho mangiato un carciofo alla romana cucinato così bene: era delizioso! La carbonara era squisita, finalmente quella vera, senza panna. Il locale è molto suggestivo e il personale gentilissimo. L’unico rimpianto è che, in questo breve viaggio a Roma, ho potuto pranzare qui solo una volta. Ho un ottimo motivo per tornare. A presto!

The food was very good quality and super amazing! But, when said to the waiter that we didn't want to order any wine, we were frowned upon with a very judgemental look that made us feel uncomfortable. We are underage and simply did not want to order any wine for our meal, water was enough, but apparently not for the waiter. Having been in Rome for a few days and many times previously, we knew that the bread is not cheap, and as young students who were craving a carbonara, we did not want to pay for bread we would not eat. So we told the waiter we were okay without bread, where answered with something along the lines of "ehhhh this is not a Mac Donald's come one, you use the bread to scrape the plate! Please guys". What? We did not want any bread and the waiter tells us we aren't at McDonald's? We know, thanks! As we go to pay, we make sure that we check the reciept before, just in case they added the bread to our order. And they did! TWELVE extra euros, when we asked why, the lady said "for the cutlery and napkins". A JOKE😂😂 amazing food, but the staff needs to be brought back down to earth! Now!

We came from Pantheon and was honestly not able to get into 2 restaurants because it was overcrowded. We end up here because one it was on the to-go list on IG and two there was no line. It was on the fancier side in terms of the ambiance, menu and price. The server recommended carbonara so of course I ordered carbonara and my partner ordered cacio d pepe. The food was good but my partner said definitely not the best despite of people saying it on the review. He told me not to order carbonara anymore lol we paid 16-18 euro for pasta. It actually took more than 30 min to arrive. The server was nice though. Good location. The artichoke was so so.

The service was great — polite, fast, and friendly. The pasta looked and smelled amazing, and the taste was even better. Definitely one of those dishes you’d want to come back for. I calculated the calories using the service shown in the photo. I was surprised how quick and convenient it was — I’m using it regularly now and totally recommend it. It really makes meal tracking effortless.

I'm an Italian living in London, a friend of mine suggested this place and always wanted to go. I finally managed to go and it was so good! I had Carciofi alla Giudia, Carbonara and Saltimbocca. All amazing! My favourite was Saltimbocca, pure heaven. One of the best things I ever had. The restaurant is more elegant than want you would think, the service was great. I ate outside, but inside is also very nice and elegant. I recommend it and I will certainly go back next time I'm in Rome!! The atmosphere in Campo de' Fiori is magical

If you come here you have to eat a carbonara. Mine was lightly salty, but overall very creamy and tasty. We also ordered herb meatballs, which were quite delicious too. Have been here before and will definitely come back.

The artichoke was just amazing. You should definitely eat it, it was soft like cotton. The pasta was a little too al dente, it could have been cooked a little more. Apart from that, everything was great.

A proper restaurant with skilled service. The food was quality and the atmosphere in the upstairs dining room was comfortable. Standard Roman dishes prepared with care. Can book via WhatsApp, the table was ready when we arrived. Full service takes a bit longer than a typical Roman trattoria but overall an enjoyable experience.

An outstanding traditional Italian fare restaurant in Rome, which caters to a somewhat more demanding gastronomic crowd. If you have read the book “Dinner in Rome: History of the world in one meal” the you will have heard about this restaurant. If you haven’t read it, still come here AND read the book. Nice seating on the second floor overlooking the Campo Di Fiori plaza and a large inviting terrace directly on the market square.

A fantastic evening with my friends and family in this place good atmosphere in this characteristic restaurant in the center of Rome. I strongly recommend the local Roman food, which is a bit heavy indeed, but also very special. The menu is very wide open to many selections. Staff super friendly.

Took my daughter for lunch. The atmosphere is very nice and classy a little up-scale but not pretentious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was extremely good and high quality. This is NOT tourist food, it is very high quality. I asked the waiter for his recommendation and he recommended the Ravioli stuffed with braised oxtail meat. It was so delicious. My daughter had L'Amatriciana, which was also delicious. The 36 month aged Parma ham and mozzarella di bufala was amazing and extremely tasty. I also had a steak which was delicious and cooked to perfection. The cost was fairly reasonable at $120 Euros. I highly recommend this restaurant for a very nice meal in an upscale setting and you should dress appropriately.

Very nice food and wine and environment in the area of Campo de Fiori. Great sucking pig or roasted pork, it is yummy. Fresh pasta is good. Great place for a dinner and meet with friends.

We stumbled into it on our visit at Campo de Fiori, and the staff were extremely welcoming. The restaurant was full of locals with advance bookings which says a lot in Rome :) We had the abbacchio (lamb) and the trippa while our daughter had the Carbonara... each dish was so delicious.! Well done!

This was recommended by our tour guide for lunch. We shared some appetizers and had main courses and it was all fabulous. Great location great service great price and fabulous food!

Il cibo era delizioso. Un ristorante che riesce a riunire tutto allo stesso tempo: sapore, ricette, consistenza e ingredienti freschi. Tutto davvero molto buono! La carbonara: 10/10. Il servizio è stato super gentile e cordiale. Abbiamo fatto la prenotazione in un giorno festivo pensando che non saremmo riusciti, ma ci hanno risposto su WhatsApp e ce l’abbiamo fatta. L’unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta molto è stato l’ambiente esterno, un po’ trascurato. Però ci hanno dato un tavolo al secondo piano ed è stato fantastico! Lo consiglio!

Campo di fiori é sempre magico e questa location rinnovata dall’ultima volta ma sempre una garanzia sul cibo. Numerose opzioni sia di cucina romana, sia non. Ottima variabilità anche sul senza glutine. Da migliorare il servizio, alcuni camerieri sono particolarmente saccenti e talvolta maleducati, per questo 4 su 5.

Mangiato in generale molto bene, ottimo servizio e prezzo coerente con la posizione e standard. L’unica parziale pecca la carne di agnello che era saporita ma esageratamente grassa. Ma comunque una ottima opzione per una cena tradizionale romana di ottimo livello

Landmark restaurant and I wanted to eat carbonara at its birth place. The restaurant was very crowded for lunch but they were able to accommodate me as a solo diner and a very nice small table The carbonara was very good but the pasta was not spaghetti. I had a tiramisu for dessert which was outstanding, perhaps one of the best I've ever had in Italy. It obviously has a wonderful location on the campo de fiori. Strongly recommend for at least one visit while in Rome

I went to that amazing Roman restaurant I read about in "Dinner in Rome"—the vibes were 💯! Authentic Italian food made with love. Their carbonara? Hands down one of the best I've ever had in Rome! The guanciale was perfectly crispy, the sauce rich and creamy. Of course there was the bread basket like all real italian restaurants. We also tried the fiori di zucca (it was okay). And the view from the second floor overlooking Campo de' Fiori? Breathtaking!

Abbiamo mangiato bene, accoglienza ottima, molto rumoroso in quanto si trova di fronte alla piazza Campo dei fiori. Peccato che al momento del conto ci siamo ritrovate 12€ per un cestino di pane. Ci è sembrato piuttosto eccessivo. Peccato perdersi per così poco!

Here's the thing, everything about this place was great except for two things: 1. They use penne for the carbonara and 2. The pasta was entirely too al dente Located in a beautiful square that has a market during the daytime, the view from the first and second floor is beautiful at night. During the day, the square is full of vendors and tourists buying all their souvenirs. At night, kids are running around playing games and tour groups are meeting up to start their adventure. This was on our list of must visit while we were in town. We walked around the area and made sure to be back by 7 PM when they opened. There were only about three groups of diners when we got there right when they opened. We were quickly seated right by the corner despite not having a reservation. Win! It was our first full day in the city and we had just walked 8 miles so our group of 4 had a ravenous appetite. Of course, we all decided to each get an order of the carbonara and then share a few other items. Much to our surprise, they don't use spaghetti. And another smack in the face is how al dente the pasta was. To the point that we didn't want to keep eating. The chewing was too much. It actually put me in a bad mood. This, even though the bacon that was in there was so good. I think that was the best part of the dish otherwise we were all very disappointed.. However, the trio of meat was banger. The ravioli was also fantastic. We soon found out that all the pasta we would proceed to have for 3 days in Rome was ALL al dente. Not the vibe.

Everyone recommends this place, and while the atmosphere is nice, I found the hostess to be rude and the risotto I ordered to be slimy. Every other dish seemed to be good though.

Sono costretta a dare 2 stelle e vi spiego il perché. Personale molto disponibile e attento, ambiente nella norma, cibo abbastanza ottimo. L’unica pecca riscontrata è stato su un piatto fuori menù. Tenendo presente che tutto ciò che un locale commerciale offre deve essere per legge scritto e assegnato un costo ci propongono dei funghi arrostiti ( piatto fuori menù ) sì buono ma nel momento del conto ci ritroviamo la voce *secondo 22€ chiedo se ci fosse un foglio dei fuori menu o comunque sia una lavagnetta o un qualcosa scritto dove indicava il prezzo dei piatti e mi rispondono di no, ci tengo a precisare che se proponete un piatto siete dovuti a indicarne anche il prezzo ( cosa non detta e chiesta preventivamente ) sinceramente quel piatto non ne valeva la spesa , vi allego il tutto.
