By far the best restaurant we visited in Rome. The place is beautiful, and spacious, with all of their wine assortment displayed openly. The staff are amazing, and very professional, and it is even clear they are very knowledgeable on the wines the place has to serve. The food is really special, the meats and pastas are splendid, and we had a great meal on our last day in Rome. I would highly recommend.

I discovered this restaurant thanks to using The Fork app for the first time. It was highly rated and even offered a 40 percent off my meal because I dined early and it was a weekday (I assume). It not only was it a great deal but an incredible meal. The service was fast and friendly. The wines are local. I tried I Lori Il Buono Latzio Rosso IGT, the pizza tacos for apertivo and ravioli with truffle. The whole meal was buonissimo!

Words won’t make this restaurant justice, their pasta is really really good. The grilled octopus as a seafood appetiser was also delicious. I had a cacio e pepe with pistachios, but also tried the carbonara and both were 10/10. Congrats to them 👏

We had a fantastic meal here. The service was brilliant and the food exceptional. Our starters were all great, and the mains even better. Each dish cooked to perfection with a wealth of flavours. The dolci completed the evening well. Definitely recommend the short walk out from the centre to visit this excellent restaurant.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Fantastic Roman Dining Experience Near Vatican City We had a truly wonderful first-night dinner at Visconti 2.0, just a short walk from our stay near Vatican City. I discovered the restaurant through The Fork app, which gave us a great discount — perfect for travellers and locals! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. We were warmly welcomed by Yuri, our server, who was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Since our party of 12 arrived early around 5:00 PM, we had the place to ourselves for the duration of our dinner — a fun, friendly, and relaxed way to ease into our Roman adventure. 🥂 Food & Drinks Highlights: To start, I shared the Tonnarelli Amatriciana fried balls — coated in panko and cornflakes — which were crunchy and satisfying. While they didn’t quite beat the arancini we had in Sicily, they were still a fun and flavourful bite. Others at the table enjoyed the Mortadella with black truffle and burrata — creamy, decadent, and delicious. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara with black truffle, and it was easily one of my favourite pasta dishes from the entire trip to Italy — rich, flavorful, and beautifully textured with that perfect crispy bite of guanciale. Other standout dishes from our group included: Diavola pizza all of the kids and teens in our group had the pizzas, and they were all great. Homemade potato gnocchi with clams, mussels, shrimp, and yellow tomato sauce. Unique and tasty. Tonnarelli all'Amatriciana with pork cheek and pecorino. A classic dish and cooked really well. Classic Carbonara with fresh eggs and pork cheek. Also great, although my personal preference was still the truffle version - my relatives that had this dish really enjoyed it. Every pasta dish was well-balanced and delicious. You can really taste the care in preparation and the quality of ingredients. As for drinks, we weren’t huge fans of the spritzes that we ordered (which is just more of a personal preference as we do not like spritzes in general… but when in Rome), but the Ascaro IGP Lazio BIO red wine — a Merlot/Petit Verdot blend from Cantina Vincenzo Lotti — was absolutely beautiful! 🍽 Atmosphere & Story: Visconti 2.0 has a welcoming, modern-yet-cozy vibe. Originally founded in 1988 by “Sora Maria,” the restaurant has been lovingly passed down through three generations. In 2016, it evolved into “Visconti 2.0,” led by Chef Luca Tomei, who updates traditional Roman recipes while staying true to their roots. They also pride themselves on sourcing local ingredients, including craft beers and a wine list with over 200 labels from the Lazio region. (Note: a €2.50 charge per person for tablecloths, which is common in Rome.) 💬 Final Thoughts: We had an exceptional experience here — from the friendly service to the delicious takes on Roman classics. It was the perfect place to start our trip, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends, family, or fellow travellers. Had some great seafood pasta dishes that was balanced really well in both taste and looks with decorations of shrimps and crabs. Staff acted swiftly and on our requests, though they quickly got busy as more guests started showing up. Nevertheless great food and experience still! Would come back if we had the time.

Went here another night after having a really tasty and great evening the night before and wasn’t disappointed. The appetisers are extremely good. I especially recommend the parmegan flarn. The waiter we had was very competent and one of the nicest we had on our trip.

Excellent service and food. The rice ball appetizer were large and very good(should have asked for sauce). The pasta carbonara with truffles was excellent! The conoli was good, open face and not as sweet as in USA. Waiter helped with wine selection and was very good. Overall with wine less than half of what I paid down the street the night before.

This was my FAVORITE restaurant during my trip to Rome. Out of the 4 days I stayed in Rome, I went 3 days to this restaurant to enjoy fantastic meals. The "Spaghetti alla carbonara con Tartufo Nero Fresco" has been the best pasta I've had in many years. 100% recommended. My partner is celiac and they offered us many of their pasta dishes with gluten-free options. The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly, quick, kind and welcoming. Our waiter made some great recommendations too. During our trip, I booked our visits via The Fork and at the time they had active a 40% off discount on their dishes and this was definitely a big plus. I would recommend checking if it's available. Overall, very happy to have found this restaurant. I will definitely come back next time I visit Rome (and can't wait to enjoy the Spaghetti alla carbonara con Tartufo Nero once again!!) Highly recommend this place. We ordered something typical from here, trippa alla Romana and the supplì. We also loved the pizza, huge and delicious as well, and if you like pistachio ask for the tonnarelli casio e pepe. If you like something outside the tourist area (more local and better quality), you must try this place. It is about 20 min by walking from the Pantheon.

After reading the reviews in Google Review, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant didn't disappoint us and in fact, we had a wonderful dinner. We ordered Beef fillet with sauce and petals black truffle, and Maltagliati pasta with scampi and black truffle. Gosh both are amazing! Ho recentemente avuto il piacere di cenare in un ristorante pizzeria nella zona Prati di Roma, un vero gioiello per gli amanti della buona cucina. Il menù offre piatti particolari e ricercati, tra cui spiccano le deliziose tapas con carne e fagioli all’uccelletto, un connubio sorprendente di sapori che conquista al primo assaggio. La qualità della carne è eccellente, tenera e saporita, cucinata con grande maestria. L’atmosfera è accogliente e curata, perfetta per una serata in compagnia. L’unica piccola nota dolente è il servizio, leggermente lento in alcune occasioni. Tuttavia, l’attesa viene ampiamente ripagata dalla bontà dei piatti. Consiglio vivamente di provarlo: un’esperienza gastronomica che merita assolutamente una visita!

Finiti casualmente davanti a questo ristorante, siamo stati colpiti dal menu esposto all’esterno. Locale molto carino e il personale è gentile e simpatico. Unica pecca è l’aria condizionata sparata al massimo, ma fortunatamente il cameriere ha provveduto subito dopo una nostra richiesta a rimediare. Cibo ottimo, rispecchia la tradizione, con vedute moderne su alcuni piatti.

Ci siamo andati per i voti alti ma è stato un po’ una delusione. Non che si abbia mangiato male ma nulla di memorabile. Servizio molto lento (più di 40 min per avere i dolci), piuttosto caro.

Ho mangiato in questo ristorante molte volte quando vivevo in città e l’ho sempre considerato un punto di riferimento. Tornando recentemente a Roma in compagnia, ho deciso di tornarci con piacere, ma purtroppo questa ultima esperienza mi ha deluso. Il servizio è stato piuttosto freddo: abbiamo semplicemente chiesto se fosse possibile avere la carbonara con i tonnarelli anziché con gli spaghetti, per una nostra preferenza personale, ma la richiesta è stata rifiutata senza alcuna disponibilità o confronto. L’amatriciana, inoltre, aveva un sapore insolito, poco convincente; il guanciale non sembrava freschissimo. Nel complesso l’esperienza è stata nella norma, ma considerando anche che il nostro tavolo ha consumato diverse portate e buone bottiglie di vino, ci saremmo aspettati un’attenzione diversa. Mi dispiace dirlo, ma rispetto al passato il livello mi è sembrato peggiorato. Al momento non credo tornerò.

Il locale è molto carino ma il cibo mediocre e il servizio anche peggio. Non so se perché abbiamo prenotato con the fork ma antipasto a 30 euro era veramente mediocre. La zuppa di fagioli con retrogusto di aceto ... due fettine di prosciutto e poi 4 fettine di salumi da discount ...formaggi insapore... il peggio sui vini ... abbiamo preso una bottiglia discreta, poi abbiamo bissato con un vino che appena assaggiato abbiamo detto che era imbevibile al costo di 33 e. ( un rosso che sembrava un liquore con tanto di posa che evidenziava il fatto che fosse andato a male!)... ma si sono rifiutati di cambiarlo costringendo a lasciarlo e prenderne un altro. Nonostante le rimostranze il vino imbevibile ci è stato addebitato!!!! I primi e i secondi nulla di particolare .... Prezzo comunque alto in rapporto alla qualità sebbene in linea con la zona. In definita sconsigliato

Un cameriere ci ha prese in giro. Siamo arrivate alle 13.00 precise. Ci hanno servito il primo alle 13.51, quasi un’ora dopo. Abbiamo chiesto gentilmente sollecitazione al cameriere che ha preso l’ordinazione, per tutta risposta ci ha trattate con sarcasmo dicendo che il “il servizio è uguale per tutti” e “di tutte le persone siamo le uniche a lamentarci.” Abbiamo pagato prezzo pieno e il cameriere ha continuato a rispondere in modo molto maleducato. Consiglio vivamente al responsabile di sala di non far continuare l’esperienza di questo cameriere nel rapporto con il pubblico: non è proprio per lui.

Siamo stati due giorni fa a pranzo, abbiamo preso due primi senza glutine, due pizze e una parmigiana. Intanto parto dicendo che siamo stati i primi ad accomodarci e nonostante fosse chiuso ci hanno fatto accomodare per non stare sotto la pioggia, ci hanno portato i piatti dopo mezz’ora, se non di più, di attesa. I primi senza glutine erano una gricia praticamente fredda, quasi congelata, immangiabile. L’altro primo era una amatriciana, totalmente senza sapore e la salsa non era condita bene, non si sentiva nemmeno il sapore del guanciale. Le pizze tutto sommato buone. Abbiamo chiesto della salsa in più nella parmigiana poiché mio padre non può deglutire bene, é arrivata dopo dieci minuti, nonostante le continue richieste.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but in this case, I left there feeling like I should warn others…. First off it has great reviews online. That’s what made me choose the restaurant. We started with a couple glasses of wine. The wine choices were actually very good and the prices were equally good. Off to a good start. Next, they brought us bread but they didn’t ask us if we wanted it- which we didn’t- they just left it at the table and when we got our check we realized they charged us five euro told us it was for the bread and the napkins? I’m not even sure I understand how that works lol next we had a salad, the simple Mista Which was just a small amount of chopped Romain with some kalmata olives. The salad was small and had no real dressing which made it pretty flavorless other than the olives. Next, I had a seafood pasta made with raviolis and my husband had sausage and tagliatelle. The seafood pasta was supposed to come with a white fish and shrimp. It came with two small prawns that were not shelled, and there were pieces of prawn legs in the pasta. The fish was not a light white fish as expected, but more of a gray colored fish that was very fishy tasting. It was supposed to be a scampi sauce, but it was more of a tomato based Parmesan sauce. It didn’t match the seafood or the ravioli very well in my personal opinion so I tried to send it back, but with the communication barrier, he thought I was asking to take it home with me. I explained that I didn’t like it at all and didn’t want it and assumed he would take it off the bill since I didn’t hardly touch it but when the check arrived, he explained that he was not going to be taking it off the bill. In this particular case, we’ve already spent money on the wine and my husband‘s pasta as well as the salad which we were happy to pay for, but I did not like my meal at all and I did not eat it and didn’t feel like I should be charged for it - or at least full price. So just keep in mind if you order something and it comes out not as you expect it and or if you don’t like it - don’t expect them to offer you options to make it right. And this was not a cheap pasta place. This is one of the more expensive places on the block so buyer be warned.

Service When I come to buy food if I want a recommendation I will ask but the old waiter felt the need to tell us what he thought about all our food choices. My wife ordered a muscato which is typically a dessert wine and we know that as its listed as that but I didn't appreciate him letting her know its 'incorrect' to do this. As a waiter, just take orders. Also when it came to time to leave we waited long for the bill in the end we had to go back into restaurant to ask for it but waiter started serving other customers. When the bill arrived, waiter was very quick to say his tip wasn't included? We tipped out of guilt, ultimately we rewarded bad service. Food My wife enjoyed her dish but I hated mine. I got what is written in the menu in English as pan fried lamb with herb bread. In reality it is deep fried lamb with a scarce uneven layer of breadcrumbs + oily fried potatoes without any veg. my dish was well cooked but poorly described and lacked flavour. The portions are huge, I don't think the picture conveys it. Atmosphere The place is buzzing and had lots of diners. It seems the locals get to eat in and the foreigners on the outside but it isn't an official policy at least not openly. The outdoor seating area isn't exclusive, pedestrians, beggars and street traders often walk through. Toilet has no seat, which made for extremely awkward use. Reviews I write loads of reviews, where I write genuine accounts of my lived experience. My criticism is genuine so when I do give 5* it can be respected. This restaurant has too many 5*s from people who: rarely write reviews, are just trying to earn points to be local guides and folk who give virtually every place 5* without explanation.
