My first time ordering here. I'll definitely return! Loved the greek yogurt parfait with homemade granola, nuts & berries. It was so refreshing to eat a no sugar added yogurt parfait. Also loved the falafel tahini pita wrap. The pistachio muffin was okay. People with a sweet tooth would love it.

If your looking for a nice, dog friendly and small breakfast diner, this is the perfect place. I went here for the first time and the food was AMAZING!! The man and woman who worked there were very kind..!

The atmosphere is bright and the service is great and friendly. ​Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Was für ein Lädchen! Bei Scotty lohnt sich ein Frühstücksbesuch wirklich. Egal ob die Bagels mit Lachs, die Acai Bowle oder der Kaffe (er hat alle möglichen Sorten an Milch), es war einfach alles lecker. We now have a mini Zabars, tucked away right by the Roslyn train station. Scott, the owner, is an artisan. He makes great food. The Nova is sliced beautifully thin. Can’t go wrong with anything you order here. A hidden gem.

So Scott Goldman has a cafe in Roslyn…..bagels, platters, salads, juices, fresh fish, sandwiches, etc etc catering and even franks. For as far back as I can remember his veggie diet tuna is absolutely the best you will ever have, so much so that I drive from Woodbury to his Cafe in Roslyn. We yesterday we tried some of his fresh chicken salad and holy moly was it delicious. His cafe has a warm friendly soho type of atmosphere! Take a spin to 17A Cafe in Roslyn! Been stopping for a cold brew (terrific!) and yogurt with fruit and homemade granola (the best). Scott told me about his ribs and what a great surprise. The ribs are fall off the bone deliciousness with Cole slaw, potato salad (both homemade- best potato salad ever!) and French fries. All for $20. Want to beat the heat and humidity…pick up dinner at 17a…everything is SO FRESH!!!

Stopped in at random about a week ago and was amazed. Scott is a veteran loxologist - a sturgeon surgeon! Try the belly lox! Really try anything off his lengthy list of imported and hand cured fish. Expert not only in selection but the exact grain and cut for the perfect bite - high grade sashimi vibes. Impressive range of vegan and gluten-free provisions, and of course the bagels. Darn good coffee. Go!

The best bagels you will ever eat and Scott is the nicest guy ever. His fish is also amazing from white fish to lox to sable. Would never go anywhere else for my bagel sandwiches

After spending a full night at JFK due to flight cancellations, we found this lovely place in a sweet neighborhood, and it was perfect to rejuvenate us both with great food, coffee, and company!

I don't do lox or even sushi...but there's something about Scott's nova that's in a world of its own. It's melt-in-your mouth, top-shelf unbelievably delicious nova that no one else on the planet pulls off. Not kidding - I won't go anywhere else for it - not Barney Greengrass, Zabars, wherever people want to believe is good!

This hidden gem is great , Scott is the salmon king, always fresh flown in from all over the world, bagels, eggs , soup , omelette also amazing , with notice he ll make u a steak , surf n turf you name it Smoothies , mocha, cappuccino u name it all delicious.

Great customer service! I really enjoyed the veggie tuna sandwich, the bread was really fresh. I also liked the fantastic iced coffee and peanut butter cookies.

This is a lovely little cafe with excellent food, handmade by the owner, even the soups and whitefish salad. He also handcuts the lox and has great coffee. Definitely worth a visit!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Scott is a great owner all around. The cuts of lox were excellent, the service was beyond superb, and the atmosphere is great! I'll make sure to stop in whenever I can from now on!

Vegan dream. I had a delicious bagel with vegan cream cheese and a vegan protein shake with almond butter. This place is a MUST visit. It is a small cafe, but it has a lot of healthy options.

So hard to find quality hand sliced fish on Long Island. Scott is a veteran slicer. I could pick up the pieces and see through them. The way it should be. Definitely check him out.

Had the best Lox bagel here, Scotty knows how to cut the pieces just right, everything done by hand and the fish is fresh and tasty. Lots of other options for unique snacks and drinks. We got a smoothie as well, one of the best I’ve had from any cafe.

Delicious food with a kind owner. My son spilled his smoothie 2 min after walking out and he graciously replaced it. My son said the honey orange smoothie was the best he’s ever tasted too.

Excellent cafe with super fresh food and great atmosphere. All the salads are made from scratch and even the lox is hand-sliced each day. You can really taste the difference and the whole store is clean and inviting. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Probably one of the best if not the best cafe I have ever been to in my life. Ran into this place today, asked for avacado toast with smoked salmon. The owner in the front really has the midus touch. Was really delicious. Looked like he really wanted me to enjoy it he added all sort of ingredients. Enjoyed everything else I bought from this store as well. I live in great neck but definitely coming back.

OUT OF THIS WORLD. To my delight he also has flavored creamers for my coffee. And he made everything with care and LOVE. Great experience. As I was leaving he said if I call my order beforehand he’ll have it ready for pickup so I wouldn’t have to wait next time. This is one place I would 100% trust to make my order to perfection.

The coffee was also a hit! My cousin got the toasted almond iced coffee and I got a cold brew. Both were delectable! Aside from this being a hidden gem, the owner Scotty was incredibly friendly and hospitable to speak with in the cute little ambience of a quaint little neighborhood café. He made many recommendations and it was a pleasure discussing a lot of the plant-based options he carries. I didn’t leave there empty-handed and brought home a specially made vegan salmon patty on a bialy. Omnivores and herbivores alike, it’s worth the trip! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be returning!

Nobody slices nova like Scott anymore! His skills at slicing the thinnest, most delicious lox is unparalleled. The flavor has nowhere to hide! Everything he makes is delicious! Whitefish salad is incredible its hard to believe there is even a drop of mayo in it! If you haven't been here go! It's mainly a take out place but there is a small spot to eat in. Regardless its definitely worth the trip and I promise you will go back!
