This is it! Trust me, Old Ironsides ranks with the best old-timey -- family run since 1934 -- establishments in America. A cozy dining room, a historic bar area, complete with snazzy red banquettes, great exterior touches (that sign!), and really excellent food for the money. Efficient, friendly staff too. I had a lamb sandwich, today's special, at it was primo. I love this place. Just GO! Then head about 50 yards to Beers Books -- it could be the best in Sacc'a'menna....

I’ve been going here on and off for years. They have open mic on Wednesday nights which can be pretty fun after a couple of beers and shots. Sierra Nevada in a bottle just the way I like it!

Went on NYE for the Lipstick event. Drinks were great, service was quick and great. They have booths and bar seating. Also a bench by where we were dancing. The bathroom was in good condition. I'll definitely go back. Cool spot.

Best vibe. Perfect when I want to have a drink and dance in a casual atmosphere with casual people. Mixed crowd, and everyone is there for a good time. You'll always meet friendly people. Sometimes, the bar gets backed up, and it takes a while to get a drink, but that's too be expected.

The security guard Ian was super nice and made sure that people weren’t bothering us and checking in on us and others too. My girls and I haven’t had this courtesy at other clubs.

My go to place for local showcases. Do them more often! Soundcloud rap and metal shows have been great. A Dream About Home is one of the better local acts. Mac Gray. The Almanac. Let's gooo

Spent the evening listening to three bands, Street Urchinz, Lizano, and the headliner Kash'd Out. Was a great evening, good vibes and a awesome crowd. Great staff and my bartender, Christian, was very good. Will definitely look for more acts to watch here.

I went on a disco night no cover charge! Club is small but it didn't matter. It was a rainy night, not that many people were in the club as usual. DJ played good music.

This was my first visit to Old ironsides for a private birthday party. I felt like I was walking back in time and I loved it. I'm originally from New York and spent a lot of time in Chicago and really all around the world this place could tell stories if the walls could talk.

Everything here is fantastic except the prices. Great historic "dive bar" in Sacramento with good food, drinks, and great service. Unfortunately their process are not in line with a dice bar. $7 well drinks and $17 fish and chips. Even with information this is ridiculous. Keep in mind you still have tax and tip. The fish and chips were fantastic, but considering the location, $14 would have been overpriced. The well drinks should be less than $5. I will go back for a show and drinks occasionally, but this will be my d first and last time around in for lunch which sucks because I work down the street.

The crowd has been great, no pretentiosness here, all different types of people are hanging out. If you're in the mood for a dive with good people, music, and food you should check it out.

Bartenders should be able to create fun and friendly banter with their patrons and keep the atmosphere light-hearted. This guy geeze! Totally bit my head off. 😬😬😬😓😓😓
