Had the best time with my 15 yr old daughter. We never had a tomahawk steak and had to try it. It was the best ribeye we have had and we love steak. The lobster tail , bread, Mac n cheese, and brussel sprouts all did the job! Highly recommend this place. Isaac did an amazing job explaining everything we asked.
Great atmosphere, great staff and great food. We went for our first time, we will definitely be going back. I ordered the scallops and they were cooked to perfection. A must have is the Buttermilk mashed potatoes. My husband had the 12 ounce steak and as picky as he is, he ate every everything with a smile. Desert was delish, another must have is the bourbon donuts to finish the meal!
I had my early birthday celebration with my hubby at this amazing place. Nice live piano music on the back makes the experience even more special. The food!!!! Absolutely delicious. Crab cakes and tartar were my favorites. Staff is extremely nice and caring. Will definitely be back soon
Great atmosphere and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. All questions about food and wines were answered. When I described the type of wine I was looking for they made a suggestion, brought out a sample and it was exactly what I was looking for. We ended up buying the bottle. My boyfriend and I went during restaurant week and tried their special menu which was delicious, and their chocolate mousse was divine. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. You can go up to the rooftop bar to finish your drinks and relax after your meal as well.
Went for a Valentine’s Day dinner and we could honestly not have picked a better spot! Every staff member was kind; the valet, the hostess, managers, bartenders, and especially our server Geronimo. Geronimo had such a welcoming energy and did not fail us with any recommendations, our whole meal and wine was basically recommended by him. Will definitely try to get reservations for any and all special occasions, and will most definitely be asking for Geronimo again (you can’t miss him and his awesome ponytail). The piano was soothing and the rooftop bar had such amazing views of the city. 10/10 food and wine, 10/10 atmosphere, 10/10 staff, and most importantly a 10/10 night. Thank you.
Silos elevated cuisine on the rooftop of the Fairmont hotel with amazing panoramic views of San Antonio downtown skyline . Partially shaded Rooftop bar is known for their fresh Oysters from the East Coast. Bar is modern & chick . Comfy lounge areas. Kraft cocktails, large selection of Wine, Champagne and Beer. Great service and attentive staff. Handicap friendly. Paid parking.
Drinks were great, bartender definitely takes a good amount of time to perfect the drinks. Steak tartare was the best we've ever had, hands down. I had the pork shank and my husband got the 14oz ribeye cooked rare. Both were incredible. Seasoning, cooking, and plating were all phenomenal! Thank you Kevin for the rec and Brandon for the table! Excited to be back!
Culinary Delight at its Finest! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exquisite steakhouse, and my taste buds are still savoring the experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance set the stage for a culinary journey that exceeded all expectations. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Lobster and Crab Fondue is an absolute masterpiece, a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate. The rich and creamy blend of lobster and crab elevated this dish to new heights, leaving me craving more with each delightful bite. Now, let's talk about the Porterhouse steak – a true carnivore's dream! Cooked to perfection, it was undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The succulent, juicy goodness of each bite left me in awe. The quality of the meat and the expert preparation showcased the culinary prowess of the chefs. To add a touch of elegance to the evening, the live pianist played a key role in making the dining experience sensational. The music created a perfect backdrop, enhancing the overall ambiance and making the evening unforgettable. In conclusion, this steakhouse is a haven for food enthusiasts. From the delectable Lobster and Crab Fondue to the outstanding Porterhouse steak, every aspect of the meal was a testament to the culinary mastery of the chefs. Combine that with the enchanting melodies from the pianist, and you have a dining experience that goes beyond a meal – it's a culinary journey worth savoring again and again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Additionally, the exceptional service provided by my server, Andrew, and the gracious hostess, B, contributed significantly to making this dining experience truly outstanding. Andrew's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu enhanced the evening, while B's warm welcome and professionalism added a personal touch that made me feel valued as a guest. The seamless coordination between the staff, paired with their genuine hospitality, elevated the overall experience to a level of excellence. Kudos to Andrew, B, and the entire team for ensuring not only a remarkable culinary journey but also exceptional service that will keep me coming back for more. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
After some time spent on the San Antonio river walk, we stumbled upon this place at The Fairmont. Cutest spot ever, and was so nice to get away from the tourist crowds by the river walk. Ordered the sea scallops and rib eye (pictured) and cocktails which were strong. Service super friendly, and definitely a place to go for a special night out or celebration.
Atmosphere: nice, relaxing decor. We visited early on a Tuesday evening and we had a nice quiet dinner. Food: absolutely delicious. I can't say enough about the food. Sooooo good! Service: the staff was attentive without being intrusive. Our server, Andrea, was awesome. Price: reasonable, competitively speaking. We shared a steak entree, had an appetizer and a bottle of wine for $137 including tax. The food and service made the cost worth it.
We went to the Silo for our birthdays and anniversary with a group of 10 total. The experience from the valet through dinner and back to the valet was exceptional. Our host Andrew was the ultimate professional. Great service, great recommendations, and really friendly. The appetizers were just as good as the main course. We had the seafood fondue, chicken fried oysters, the chilled seafood platter, and crab cakes. For the main course, we had the lamb chops, salmon, a few steaks, and various sides. Everything was delicious. The piano man was also wonderful playing tunes that a lot of folk knew. It is an outstanding experience, and we look forward to going back.
Food and atmosphere were both amazing. The pianist played and sang beautifully. We had the Tomahawk steak, which was cooked to perfection, Lobster, Truffle Mac n Cheese and Mashed potatoes. Unfortunately our waiter wasn't as attentive as we would've liked. He took a while to take our orders even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I recommend a visit if you're ever in the area
Silo Prime is a culinary gem that effortlessly blends sophistication with warmth, making it a must visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the elegant ambiance sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. The dim lighting, refined décor, and impeccably set tables create an atmosphere that is both upscale and inviting. One of the standout features of Silo Prime is the live piano music that graces the dining room. The pianist’s selection ranging from classic jazz to contemporary melodie add a layer of elegance without overpowering the space. It’s the perfect backdrop for conversation, enhancing the meal without distraction. The music elevates the entire experience, making dinner feel like a special occasion even on an ordinary night. The menu is a masterclass in modern American cuisine with a focus on prime cuts and expertly crafted dishes. The steaks are a highlight, cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear and seasoned just right. The seafood options are equally impressive, with fresh, high-quality ingredients shining through in every bite. Pair your meal with a selection from their well-curated wine list, and you have a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. Service at Silo Prime is attentive yet unobtrusive, with staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. They strike the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, ensuring that every guest feels well taken care of. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a night of fine dining, Silo Prime delivers on every level. The combination of exquisite food, impeccable service, and the enchanting live piano music makes this restaurant a true standout in San Antonio’s culinary scene. Highly recommended for those who appreciate the finer details in a dining experience.
Our anniversary dinner was a truly amazing experience. The food was wonderful, and the quiet, intimate atmosphere set the perfect mood. Andrew, our server, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, enriching our evening with insights into the cuisine, beverages, and local history. We received fantastic service from arrival to departure. My wife, who rarely ventures to upscale restaurants, absolutely loved her meal and ate every bite. The chefs are clearly exceptionally skilled!
We went to Silos Prime in downtown San Antonio for the first time to celebrate my son’s 20th birthday, and it was so good! The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and literally cut like butter. Absolutely delicious. The buttermilk mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were amazing, and we started with the fondue — which was such a great choice. So flavorful and the perfect way to start the meal. The service and ambience really made the night feel special. They helped make his birthday celebration one to remember. He finished it off with the chocolate mousse for dessert, and it was the perfect ending. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend for a special night out.
While the food, and ambiance were amazing, it was our server Renee who made the evening special. Her approach and recommendations made our experience one to remember, and she went above and beyond to make sure our entire evening was special. We will be asking for her again the next time we come. Thank you again Renee for making our P!nk night a bright one.
The Steak and lobster were delicious! The bartenders were so darn good..just gave them a flavor profile and they made some incredible libations for us. Great place
Excellent meal. Even if you don't like Brussel sprouts you have to try them here, top 3 ever. The pork chop was amazing, the lamb was awesome and the lobster and crab fondue was beyond all.
6 guys for dinner and we cleaned off all our plates. Great food, ambience, and friendly/down to earth staff. Steaks were all cooked well and sides were great. Look out for their off menu specials!
Excellent food, top-level service, and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended, especially for a date downtown. A+
Great food, excellent atmosphere and wonderful service. The sommelier was immensely helpful and every item was delicious. It is pricey, but that's the cost of a luxury dinner.
Silo, does dinner right. My favorite location is Silo Oyster Bar, but its new contender is Silo Prime. Good, service, entertainment. San Antonio’s best place for high quality cuisine.
Amazing steaks, highly recommend all the appetizers
Food and service was excellent, wait staff was attentive and they had no problem accommodating our large party. Steak was well-prepared and the brussel sprouts were amazing.
Delightful meal and great service. I'm glad we stopped in for Restaurant Week.
Food was amazing & service was splendid. Fondue was delicious & Sea Bass was unbelievably delicious along with the dirty rice. It's great to actually get great food with the service to match.
Absolutely fabulous ambience with great food cooked to perfection. Oyster bar on roof is a fitting nightcap. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.
Between the service, the ambiance, and the roof top bar, I love this place! We had a memorable experience. The lobster fondue was so delicious, and it tasted very fresh. The bone-in filet was cooked perfectly, and the forest mushrooms were not over cooked, and they were very flavorful. Even the pianist was a beautiful addition.
Great ambiance, service, and live piano. Our server, Geronimo, was great. He explained the whole menu very carefully and left no details out. The steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster fondue was the perfect balance between taste and texture. Potato purée was just the perfect amount of creamy and buttery. Desserts were also great, especially the gelato. Great restaurant.
We had reservations somewhere else but it didn't work out so we came here and were seated immediately for our 16th anniversary. In our experience the dining room was about half full and we were seated immediately but that may change depending on day and time. The service was IMPECCABLE even with our waitress in training, she did a WONDERFUL job and made our special day a memorable one! Our evening had a fantastic live pianist who played all the classics. The food is great and ordered ala carte as most fine dining are. no complaints here!
Absolutely fantastic. Everything was of the highest quality and perfectly prepared. A pleasant, quiet atmosphere with soft jazz music, low lights, and flickering candles. Unusual cocktails with complex flavor. Exceptional staff. Perfect for a romantic night.
From the cocktails to the desserts Silo does it perfect. We have eaten around the world and this is the best in San Antonio. We had a variety of dishes from the filet and lamb chops to the sea bass it was all superbly done! Try the crab and lobster fondue. Seriously every item out of this kitchen is perfectly prepared and expertly served. San Antonio’s hidden gem. Update: We recently went back to Silo Prime and the quality of food was not what it was. It seems to be a shadow of its old self. We won't be returning.
Excellent dining experience. Our waiter Carlos was attentive to our needs and gave great service. The manager Wes also deserves a shout out for making sure we enjoyed our evening. December is significant for us, Birthday, Anniversaries, and Christmas. We've dined here twice this month.
My wife and I had an outstanding dinner here. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the salads were crisp and delicious salads, and they also have other great high-end foods too. Skip all those medicore restaurants at the pearl and make reservations to go here instead.
I came here for my fiance's birthday party. Set a reservation in advanced and felt like the staff was friendly and treated us like royalty. It was a very pleasing and wonderful experience. Will definitely be back! Oh and the food? Don't get me started! It was amazing! Everyone's plates by the end of the night were EMPTY.
The presentation was beyond words as all courses were brought out to our group and placed at the se time. Our waitress was just awesome and knew how to work with each personality and was beyond attentive. One the few times it was easy to provide a tip as it was well earned and well deserved 👏 👍
Such great service. Made reservations through Opentable and noted it was our anniversary. They served us some champagne for celebration which was very kind. Had the salmon which was amazing. The creamsicle cheesecake was delicious as well. Great ending piece to our lovely meal. Enjoyed oursleves truly, and glad to have a wonderful experience for a special evening.
Visiting SA and so glad we picked Silo for our Christmas eve dinner, top notch service, beautiful ambiance with piano was very romantic and quiet . Food was delicious. Salmon and pork chop entrees with side of Mac and cheese and French onion soup to start. Highly recommend
One of the best restaurants in San Antonio, if not the best - exquisite food, superior service without being intrusive, understated, yet elegant atmosphere, soft piano music as the last touch to make the evening outstanding. Truly a wonderful experience from the starter cocktail to the last bite of dessert. Highly recommend for special occasion.
One of the best premier steakhouses in San Antonio. One visit is all you need to fall in love. We had 3 different dishes and all were amazing. A must stop location while in San Antonio.
Best tartare I've ever had. Brandon and Chastity took great care of us. My wife had the pork shank and it was hands down the best pirk dish we've ever had. Cocktails were amazing as well. We live in Seattle, but will try and come back to San Antonio just to eat here again.
Took my wife and 10 our our best friends to my wife's 60th birthday. Great ambiance, service, and food was better than 5 star. Get bbq shrimp, ribeye, chocolate mouse desert. I highly recommend it
I had a perfect dining experience here! Mac N Cheese truffle was amazing and the Filet Mignon didn't disappoint. I will be coming back, perfect date spot
Fantastic! Best salmon with citrus I've ever had. Mom, had Airline Chicken and the Mrs had porkchop entrée. Succulent dishes. Truffle Mac n Cheese was so creamy . We'll be back 100%.
Very nice experience! Appetizer was great! Ribeye steak was perfect and chicken was awesome 👌
I want to start my review with a note on the service. Jason was a perfect server and made exquisite recommendations for our party. He was warm and friendly & not at all overbearing or doting. This is important for me as some fine dining can be a bit overwhelming with people constantly approaching the table, not the case here. The tomahawk ribeye was exceptional, the strip steaks were divine, the seafood (we had shrimp, scallops, and king crab) were naturally sweet & delicious. The lobster mac n cheese rich, flavorful, and the pasta, sauce, lobster, and finish were stunning! The atmosphere was amazing as we were sat at a table I consider to be the best in the house & the pianist was great! This was a fantastic date night to remember for sure. Thank you to Jason and all of the staff of Silo Prime. We had a wonderful evening at your restaurant and I eagerly look forward to our next visit.
The fondue is must try and the steak was delicious. Perfect date night
I cannot say enough good things about the food. Everything from the crab and lobster fondue to the sea bass, even the sides, were all so incredible and rich in flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth, and the sea bass had the perfect sear on top. Our server was very attentive and she made sure to accommodate all requests and was very friendly. We were allowed to finish our drinks at the end of the night upstairs on the rooftop bar, it was a great date night. Based on this experience, I will definitely return in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for something downtown.
Love this restaurant. The owners really have their act together with all of their San Antonio locations. Great service, excellent food. Specifically, we wanted a nice red wine with our dinner to enjoy with our steak. The menu has a lot of pricey wines...up to the 2,000$ range. We were thinking it was out of our budget, but the somalier helped us and we had a fantastic Italian wine for under a hundred bucks. Thanks Austin! Well done. Can't wait for another special occasion to return. Steak was perfect as well as all the great sides. Thanks Silo!!!!!
Enjoyed the side dishes immensely. Had the sea bass as a main course and it was delicious. Cheese cake for dessert and this New Yorker loved it. I was with a large group of about 12 and the service was perfect...plus we could hear each other! Everyone was happy with their dish.
There is no higher compliment I can give than - after coming here the 1st time and the food and service (Thank You Freta) was AMAZING, to then come back a 2nd time - and have Freta remember my martini preference- and to AGAIN - have wonderful food and service - speaks to the high quay of Siloh Prime! I cannot recommend the restaurant nor the server, Freta, any higher! Exceptional!
Great steak, highly recommend the lobster fondue. The service and atmosphere is exquisite.
My wife and I recently had our first anniversary dinner at SILO Prime, and every aspect of our night was fabulous. The restaurant exudes the mid-20th-century charm offered by the best of downtown S.A; the dining room is well-appointed and romantically-lit. Our host, Luis M., was wonderful-- attentive and enthusiastic about the menu and making recommendations to our tastes, without hovering or being intrusive; he clearly takes both pride and pleasure in giving excellent hospitality. The rest of the staff was also great. The food is a total home run. Our steaks were great quality and perfectly-prepared; we forwent starters because we wanted to try several sides, and they were all delightful-- the truffle mac and cheese and dirty rice could be meals on their own and the shoestring fries are among the best fried potatoes I've had anywhere. Vegetables are trickier to get right than some folks realize-- they've got to be simple and straightforward enough to let their natural flavor and texture complement the meal's proteins, but finessed enough that they don't disappear behind the starches. It probably won't surprise you to read that SILO got our asparagus, spinach, and mushrooms right-- they brought out the best in our steaks, but we wanted to finish them all. I've enjoyed sumptuous meals in most of S.A.'s 'name' steak restaurants; I rank our dinner at Prime on-par with any of them. We'll certainly be back and we'll recommend it to anyone looking for a top-shelf meal downtown.
We had an amazing meal at this restaurant. We had the filet, the ribeye, and also the scallops. The steaks were excellent, and the scallops absolutely wonderful. The dirty rice might be a side, but it's good enough to be an entree itself. The chocolate mousse was incredible. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Malcom, our waiter, did an outstanding job of making us feel welcome, and the service couldn't have been better.
Silo’s prime was amazing for our date night! The service was 11/10 Josh was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations! I had the restaurant week meal and can confidently say the blackened redfish was absolutely delicious as well as the mash potatoes. My husband had the Berkshire pork chop and loved it. The sherbet was so delicious it made my jaw drop. It made me say sher-SLAYYY. Anyways, service was 10/10, food 10/10 sherbet 100/10.
Overall amazing experience, took my wife her for her birthday and it was great. Our server Malcom was really great as well, delivering us awesome service and recommendations for the menu. My wife had the NY Strip, while I had the pork chop, and we got brussel sprouts and potatoes as our sides. Great food. Being a 100% honest, it was pretty pricey, but definitely well worth it!
Went to SILO Prime with coworkers for a work dinner and had a great experience. The atmosphere is upscale but comfortable, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. Steaks and sides were perfectly prepared. Great spot for a work dinner or special occasion. Highly recommend.
The food was phenomenal. I had the Chilean sea bass and it was really great. Our waitress forgot to bring our appetizer and then brought my boyfriend the snapper instead of the salmon (which I very clearly heard him order). But all and all, a great restaurant with amazing food. Update: they sent out doughnuts due to all of the issues we had, and they were fantastic 👌
Had dinner at Silo while attending a conference. The restaurant is nicely decorated, staff is friendly and food is delicious. I ordered the Sea Bass plate, the fish was cooked to perfection.
My husband and I went for the 1st time for Valentine's Day and we enjoyed everything we ordered. I even enjoyed their Coconut Pie, and I don't even like coconut. I also ended up finishing my husband's steak it was that good, not to mention the buttermilk mashed potatoes, they're so good! We'll definitely go back and highly recommend this place to family and friends. Just wish the dessert menu had a little more to offer.
Superb steaks. Very good scallops. Fried oysters and the lobster and crab fondue appetizers were delicious. Sides are too small for sharing. Pricey! But you know that going in. Lovely atmosphere. Terrific servers. Restrooms are down a flight of stairs :(
A special trip is not warranted perhaps, but it is an excellent alternative to the fogo de Chao nearby. Don't look at the wine prices.
Had a great dinner. Steaks are all great. Loved the atmosphere with the piano player. Nice for a bit more upscale dining experience. Go to the upstairs deck for a night cap after dinner.
My first time dining at Silo Prime was disappointing. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely. Our server was subpar. He kept forgetting to bring our bread. He forgot to bring an entire menu selection. He was not attentive to our table at all. My Sea Bass was delicious, the lobster tail was luke warm as well as the Mac & Cheese. The Salmon was served Luke warm as well. The best part of the entire dining experience was the Wedge Salad, the delicious bread and the beautiful rooftop view.
Brought family visiting from out of town. The evening started great. Our server was attentive and friendly. Got our orders in. Appetizers and drink orders arrived, great, and that's when things, well, thing, happened. Or didn't happen. It took almost 2 hours for our mains to arrive. Is that normal? 🤔 I have eaten at their sister restaurant Nonna Osteria and service has always been prompt. When they did arrive, thankfully, everything was delicious. We did not get even a perfunctory apology for the delay Maybe that was "usual"? I don't know but I might not be bringing people here again if that's the case.
Our first time dining and most likely our last The waiter didn't bring any energy to the table and lacked attentiveness throughout the entire dinner, the macaroni and cheese was dry and tasted almost primarily of mushrooms. The 6 oz filet (looked like 3 oz) had good flavor but for almost the same price I could get a huge NY Strip at Down on Grayson smothered in butter.. High priced food with questionable servers. Not a single food/drink recommendation, asked for bread twice and was never brought any & whats funny is theres multiple reviews saying the SAME THINGS again and again. Management needs to get their restaurant in check and hire better servers cause you're losing custos. 📉
While my food was decent. Service was slow. It was my birthday. My waiter never brought us a dessert menu or even a bday dessert. Truffle mac and cheese needed some oil because it was dry. Waiter could have been more attentive to us. We should have just went to Chama Gaucha.
Silo Prime downtown has a special place in our heart. My bf and I love to go and relax after a long week. Afterwards we go to the amazing rooftop for a nightcap. Unfortunately, we’ve seen our experience deteriorate over time. Recently I ordered a medium-medium steak and my bf ordered same. We added shrimp and crab for a bit of surf and turf. My steak was made medium rare. Plus the wine suggested by our waiter for our meal was ill-advised. What was disappointing wasn’t so much the misstep in the wine or that the steak was not made per my request, but the cold and cavalier attitude of our waiter. He didn’t offer to cook the meat properly or replace the wine bottle. He couldn’t be bothered. Honestly, we had better service at Pete’s Tako House the next morning for breakfast. The staff is otherwise great. And we will return - at some point. For now, we’ll go to my old haunt, Bohanan’s, until we become nostalgic for Silo once again.
Really super expensive! Two couples cost over $600!!! We had three over-cooked ribeyes, one piece of salmon, 3 little salads, one side of asparagus, one side of brussels sprouts, and two mediocre bottles of house pinot noir wine reccomended by our waiter. Unless you are on a company expense account, don't go!
We had a banquet here and the slim, brunette waitress we had was the absolute rudest and most impatient person I've met in a long time. Our entire table's orders were wrong and it took half an hour between drinks to get a refill. Two of our guests didn't get served until everyone else was already done eating and by that time they just took it to go. Also, there was no chicken option, which I would've preferred, since I'm not a steak fan.
Interesting that I posted a review on July 8th, and it's no longer there. Was looking forward to going there so much. Have been there before, as well as a regular at other Silos. Food was pretty good, but server was the absolute worst. He was rude, indifferent, kept trying to take our dinner orders without asking for drinks, apps, soups or salads, etc... Took 20 minutes to get a cocktail and he blamed it on the bartender. Continued to try and have a relaxed dinner, but he just wanted our entree order in, and us out of there as soon as possible. We tried to order a bottle of wine and he wanted us to just take what was left in the bottle he already had because he didn't seem to want to bother to get a full one for us. I'm mortified at all the times I have sent people there.Inunderstand the industry is having a difficult time right now, but there is no excuse for rudeness.
Overall great food and great service. Started with the lobster and crab fondue appetizer. This was fantastic and was a large portion for two. My wife and I then got our salads, which were the worst part of the meal. I ordered the Frisee and the herbs/salad they used was horrible, spikey and unpleasant to eat. My wife got the ceasar and it came out like they peeled the top two leaves off a wedge. We then got our steaks that were flavorful and cooked exactly to our specification. For the side I got the lobster Mac and would highly recommend.
This was our first ever visit. We had early reservations for dinner and were seated quickly. The decor was lovely. We chose to start with the Cesar. The service was impressive and the salad was delicious. Oddly our entree order wasn’t taken until after we finished our salad. We ordered a ribeye (medium plus) and a fillet(medium), and the shoe string potatoes.in addition I asked for an order of scallops to complement the filet. The steaks took a very long time to arrive. It was easily over 20 minutes wait. We finally got our steaks and both cuts were over cooked. The ribeye was medium well. The edges of the ribeye were dry and tough. The filet was medium well too and also dry. The scallops were also overcooked and slightly rubbery. We were trying to make a 7pm show, so we couldn’t even send the steak back. In addition no one checked on us after the food was delivered to see if it was ok. The waiter bragged when we were seated that this was a premiere steakhouse. Unfortunately this experience didn’t live up to the expectation that was set. The service was goid when we were seated but waned when the restaurant got busier.
Service was very slow and got our drinks wrong. Petite seafood tower was not great. French onion soup was not what you would expect. Would not recommend...
Underwhelming to say the least. The service and tartare were the redeeming points. The other food was blah. Got the quail, lobster mac and brussel sprouts. The quail was decent but the "shoestring" potatoes were over done. The mac was bizarrely lemony and the lobster didnt have any taste. Brussels had good flavor but were overcooked. The only reason I would have to got back is the tartare.
Went with my husband for my birthday as we love the other silos locations..wouldn't go back. We had dinner tonight and food was sub par, especially compared to other silo locations, I was shocked. Its extreamly rare we leave a bad review but from the French onion soup to the cocktails to the king crab or limited dessert menu we just were not impressed. The piano music was the only save. Soup was especially flavorless. Service was good and atmosphere is nice with good wine, but the food and cocktails just were not good. Husbands currently sick 3 hours later but extreamly hard to say if that's due to the resteraunt, just strange as he is never sick to his stomach.
Over seasoned, over salted and over priced. Had the onion soup. Way over salty and too many herbs for what should be a basic recipe. Kind of the same thing with the crab cake appetizer, which was nice and large by the way but wasted. Kind of like the chief tried to be too clever with his creations. The lobster/crab fondue and fried oysters were good though.
Place is nice and servers overall seem great. I probably just unintentionally pissed off the host- so he ensured to make my Valentine date with my fiancée unforgettable... in an unpleasant way :( I couldn’t find the host at first. He appeared overwhelmed since it was Feb14. I apologized and tried to make things right with him after I started noticing unpleasant patterns, but it seemed he had more important people to take care of. Asked for a dessert menu. He advised they are serving dinner but I can eat outside the restaurant. Placed us in probably the worst place a romantic couple would like to be. It was quite saddening to reserve this months in advance only to be treated like this. We left our deserts and drink there. Paid the tab. Max 10-20 minutes :/
Do not order Scallops if you want actual scallops. The scallops were not real and were a fish . When i talked to the manager they were dismissive and adamant that they were real, but offered up no proof of them being real. The fact they would charge $11 a scallop for something that wasn't a scallop is appalling. Steak potatoes and soup was all good, but the fake scallops ruined the experience.
SHOCKED and DISGUSTED. One of the ladies in our party ordered and espresso martini. Later she ordered a vodka tonic, when 30 minutes went by and she hadn't received it, she spoke to a different server and asked for wine instead since appetizers were over and the main course was about to be served. The wine was poured and later the waiter arrived with an espresso martini. She look puzzled and said "I didn't order this", the waiter argued with her and she zipped her lips as he insisted a few more times that she had. He took the drink and stormed away. Our party of 5 was stunned at the way he argued with her because we had heard her order the vodka tonic and clearly not another espresso martini. Later, as the main course was served, she asked for another glass of wine. The waiter denied, saying she was cut off because she was too drunk to remember that she had ordered a drink. It was the most vindictive, rude and shocking way I have ever seen anyone treated as a server. (I was a server myself). He humiliated her and I was too sick to my stomach to eat my meal. She was stunned. I asked to see a manager. Our meal was ruined. The manager came over with a glass and poured a glass of wine for her. When we tried to explain how rude the waiter was he declined to listen, cutting us off saying the waiter told him what happened and he already knew. Once again, we were shocked because clearly his side of the story was not our side of the story. He didn't care. He said he was bringing her wine to make it right, but he refused to apologize. He refused to acknowledge that any wrong was done. We were too sick to enjoy our meal yet paid the full price as he never offered anything to rectify the situation. When I asked if he was planning to deal with the waiter twice he said he would "speak to the staff". Never once did he acknowledge the vindictive waiter's atrocious behavior. AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
Deeply Disappointing and Humiliating dining experience Unfortunately, our evening at what is supposed to be a 5-star restaurant was completely ruined by the appalling arrogance and disrespect of our waiter, Andrew. We were a party of five dining after a medical conference — three of whom were physicians who had presented at the event — celebrating the close of a long three day event. What should have been a relaxing, enjoyable evening turned into one of the most insulting dining experiences I’ve ever had. After waiting nearly 30 minutes for a second drink, the wrong one arrived. When I mentioned the mistake, Andrew insisted I was wrong, even though everyone at the table heard my original order and confirmed it. He refused to correct it and never brought the drink I had actually ordered. I let it go as I didn’t want his arrogance to ruin our evening. A short time later, when I asked to order a glass of wine with my meal, he condescendingly told me I was “shut off” because I “couldn’t remember” my drink order. The entire table was shocked. I have never been treated so rudely or humiliated in a restaurant in my life. We asked for a manager, who came over but offered no apology whatsoever. He simply said he would “speak to his staff” and did not acknowledge the waiter was out of line, despite every person at our table explaining exactly what had happened. His dismissive attitude made it clear he had no genuine interest in addressing the situation. Thankfully, another waitress took over afterward — she was excellent and did her best to salvage what was left of our evening — but by then, the experience had been completely ruined. What should have been a wonderful dinner with colleagues turned into a night of embarrassment and frustration, all over something as trivial as a drink order. The lack of professionalism, basic courtesy, and accountability from both the waiter and management was unbelievable. I would never return and would strongly caution others expecting a refined, respectful dining experience — this was anything but that.
Don't bother asking the waiter for recommendations, they will just recommend the most expensive. When comparing the filet vs another item, the waiter said it depended on which size filet I was going to go with. If it was the larger "more expensive" one he would suggest the filet. If it was the smaller filet, he would suggest the other item (more expensive).
The absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced… one of my dinner party was berated and insulted in front of colleagues by our server. I was part of a group of five dining here after a medical conference and our server Andrew was so rude it was truly shocking. He brought my colleague the wrong drink to which she politely informed him what she had actually ordered. He then doubled down and insisted she was wrong several times, even though everyone at the table heard her correct order. When she later asked for a glass of wine with dinner, he smugly and loudly announced she had been “cut off” because she “couldn’t remember” her drink which was an outrageous accusation considering every one of us was completely sober, having had one drink or less after a long professional day. It was humiliating and uncomfortable. When we asked for a manager he was completely apathetic and disinterested. No apology or accountability just a dismissive “I’ll speak to the staff” before walking away. Thankfully another server stepped in and was excellent, but by that point the evening had been ruined. The food and atmosphere were good but the service was appalling. If you don’t mind being insulted while you dine this might be your place otherwise, avoid it.
