Fantastic place! Water and sides was already at our table before been seated. Not to mention the service, constantly making sure you have your drink doesn't hit empty. Food was phenomenal, and the NATURAL YOUGURT you get at the end! I'm enjoying traveling, and not working. I want to help you escape your job, @LetsCruiseTheWorld. Have a wonderful day!
This is my favorite local Korean BBQ places and every time I come back to visit family I always make a couple stops at Gogi House. Great meat, definitely a fun experience cooking the meat on your own little grill. Makes eating dinner out exciting for those who like to grill meat!
I first ate at Gogi a couple of years ago when one of my coworkers told me about it and some of us from work drove down there (we're from Bakersfield) and I instantly loved it. First place I had ever eaten at like this. The first couple times I did worry about the times inbetween refills and new plates of food but now I do realize it's pretty much a buffet and the workers themselves are the ones getting the food for you along with everyone else's food in the restaurant; and they also have to make it once you tell them what you want again so, now that I understand this I just get comfortable and eat and take my time and enjoy it while being patient. The workers are trying their best. I've also took my fiancé there and she loved it too so now we go there maybe once every month or two.
As always, if you’re looking for quality marinated BEEF, this is top notch. All you can eat runs about $38 a person, but well worth it. Lots of sides you can choose from and everything is fresh and delicious.
I love this place. Cooking meat at the table and trying new things. It's fun too because everyone can be involved and engaged... especially when you are there with teenagers! The side dishes are very good...I love love love the vegetable pancakes. It can be a bit smokey at times so not for people who might be sensitive to that.
I didn’t like the first time I was here. Customer service was bad because they were rushing us but, I loved the food. so I came back with lower expectations in customer’s service but I was really impressed by the amazing customer service this time. Never felt rush and I never had to asked for anything since they were asking me if I needed anything else very often. Loved the experience!.
I have been dining at Gogi house for 10 plus years. I have generally always had a good/great experience. The pricing has obviously increased over the years, however that’s too be expected. We always go straight for the kalbi. I would not recommend wearing anything too fancy as you do come out smelling a bit tasty 😂. The quality of meat, and taste have not changed which is why we continue to go back. Kalbi, Garlic beef, and spicy kalbi our my choices when ordering. The hot stone rice is also thumbs up. Go there hungry. You will get your moneys worth, and not be disappointed. One more thing. Try to save room for the frozen yogurt at the end. It’s a nice sweet item to cleanse the palate.
A very low key place to enjoy a relaxing meal. The staff is very attentive to your needs. The food is fresh and amazing! You cook your own meats at your table. When you do the all you can eat option, ask for smaller portions so you can try other things. Their portions are very generous.
We love GoGi House. It’s our favorite restaurant in Santa Clarita. Rudy and Audi always make this restaurant an epicurean delight. We recommend this restaurant without any hesitations.
this place was really good service is All right when i was at my table and when other people where done eating they would just leave the food there and not do anything with it but that doesn’t matter really good place and food comes fast if not packed.
Honestly the best all you can eat Korean BBQ! The staff is consistently attentive and friendly. The quality of meat is great, so many side options and the price is so reasonable! I’m a big fan of the garlic beef and the bulgogi. I love the frozen yogurt they give at the end to help digest it all! I always leave about 3 lbs heavier after eating here and it’s worth it every time! Highly recommended.
My friend who’s a regular just introduced me to this place and I’m so happy he did. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. I love the grill because it doesn’t get to close to you and won’t burn. The staff was very attentive and friendly as well. I look look forward to my next visit!
I saw that the reviews for this place had dropped so I went there for lunch. If I could give them a six I would. Everything was great! Sometimes employees these days don't care as much as they should so business suffers but try not to thrash a place because of one bad experience. Go there for lunch when they're not packed and you will have a great experience. Guaranteed!
Called around lunch time and was able to make a reservation for a big party for dinner time. Food's great, worth the price. Service was great, too. They were very attentive and our food kept coming. Just be aware of the 18% service charge for big groups. But I think that's fair enough. Parking is easy as well since it's in a shopping center. Will definitely come back! Thanks Gogi House!
I love this place. Love the people and more importantly I love the food PRO: - AYCE is reasonably priced - Service is excellent! I love Rudy, Adias & Arthur - some the hardest working people you'll ever meet. - - Great "extra" food selection of Tempura, pancake etc. - Excellent meat selection - Pinkberry type yoghurt at the end is bomb! CON: - I don't love the chicken here since they use white meat & it tends to be dry - I don't like the grills since they don't heat all the way around, causing cold areas. - Price has gone up dramatically since Covid SUMMARY: The food is is served quickly and the servers are prompt and friendly. I leave full and happy!
My go to Kbbq spot! Me and my golf buddies come here after a round of golf and it always hits the spot! Sometimes I cannot believe it’s an all you can eat because they have the best quality meats. Don't forget their sides! Must order are kimchi pancake 김치전, beef stew 육개장, they even have tofu soup 순두부 and hot stone bibimbap 돌솥비빔밥. Their draft beers come in chilled glasses just perfection! Their frozen yogurt makes a perfect finale too!!
Bre was my server and she was the best server I have ever had!!! I was treated like family! I highly recommend this establishment because I know good help is hard to find and how hard being in customer service can be. All my requests were met with a smile!!! ❤️
Food and service were incredible. Very attentive staff. I'd recommend the garlic bulgogi. The strong garlic flavor was perfect. The dumplings in the dumpling soup were delicious. Will definitely be back again! They even offered a small frozen yogurt after the meal.
If you enjoy Korean BBQ, I recommend trying Gogi House. The meat quality is impressive—tender, flavorful, and well-marinated. I highly suggest the beef bulgogi and pork belly combo as a standout option. One of the enjoyable aspects of dining here is grilling your food right at your table, which adds a fun, interactive element to the experience. The banchan (side dishes) are also consistently fresh and refillable, enhancing the meal. Their fried rice is delicious and a great complement to the main dishes. On a practical note, plenty of parking spaces are available, making it convenient to visit. We also appreciated that we didn’t have to wait long to be seated, and the friendly staff made our experience even more pleasant. Overall, Gogi House is an excellent choice for a Korean BBQ meal!
Celebrating my birthday….this is certainly a place to be if you are hungry and ready to chow down. The best meat was the KALBI BEEF….. OMG YOU HAVE TO GO AND VISIT THIS PLACE. Server was attentive and my rice paper was super fresh. I will definitely be coming back here and becoming a regular client…!!!
Food was excellent First time here so good our waiter Audi helped us with our order made excellent suggestions, everything we got was absolutely amazing. Thank You Rudy and Walter for the amazing kbbq. We will be back!!
Delicious food and good selection. Always excellent service, a very nice dining experience. Enjoyed another wonderful lunch. The staff is fantastic and very attentive. Food is always good love the pork belly tempura shrimp and veggies. We like to start with the salad fresh tasty.
Let me just say, I absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere was nice, not too isolated or crowded. The smell was one of the first things that attracted me here, even with a 20 minute wait. The food tastes great. It was really cool to cook everything on the grill myself, and the service was excellent, I never had an empty glass. We were checked on at least every 10-15 minutes. I would definitely go here again.
One of my favorite restaurants! Great selection with reasonable prices. Friendly staff and clean establishment. Will definitely be back soon.
My best friend and I have come here since 2015. We love the service and Raul is the best server in this restaurant. Great price and quality meat! Highly highly recommended

Gogi house is a staple of Santa Clarita where groups of friends gather to lather themselves in sesame oil and drown in sweet succulent Korean meats. I’ve been going since it opened and always go once whenever I come back to visit friends/family. The yogurt hits perfect after your dripping in meat sweats Staff is friendly and their service is great. Only downside is that it can get smokey and you will smell like meat after eating.
Very good food here! Was a unique experience as they give you the food and you cook it yourself on a grill built into the table. Would definitely recommend.
The food quality here is absolutely amazing—so flavorful and always consistent. This is hands down my all-time favorite KBBQ spot! The staff is incredibly friendly and kind, and they’re super quick to service you and always keep your cups full. I always leave happy and satisfied. Highly recommend!

This is a pretty good kbbq place their cuts of meat are alright. I really like how their all you can eat menu has more than just meat and that you can get stuff like fried rice, dumplings and other stuff like that. I've never really had issues getting a table here. So that's pretty good.
Came with one other person, service was good, workers are nice always coming to ask if we need anything. The only thing I would complain about is the amount of meat they give per plate. Very nice place after all would recommend.
Love the food as ALWAYS. But be care about hidden charges in your bill. Asked for a bottle of peach saki. We were clearly told twice by the waitress it was 12.95 once when we inquired and again when the bottle was BROUGHT. Got the bill and was charged 20.95. Also brought food we did NOT ORDER but had to pay for. Other than that Love the food. But watch the shell game with the extras when you order the all you can eat.
Gogi House in Santa Clarita, CA, offers a delightful Korean dining experience that combines quality, flavor, and variety. Known for its all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, the restaurant is a haven for meat lovers, particularly with their well-marinated meats that are soaked for 2-3 days to achieve perfect flavors. The menu at Gogi House features customer favorites like spicy kalbi, garlic beef, and bulgogi. The restaurant's approach to marinating meats for an extended period significantly enhances the flavors, making dishes like the steak and beef stand out with a perfect rating of 10/10. The Korean meats are also highly rated at 8/10, indicative of their quality and taste. Alongside the food, the service at Gogi House is commendable, with a rating of 8/10, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The drinks menu, while rated slightly lower at 7/10, still offers a good range of options to complement the meal. The cost of the all-you-can-eat experience is over $30, which, considering the quality and variety of food, is well worth it according to patrons. Gogi House's focus on marinating meats and offering a diverse selection of Korean dishes in a comfortable setting makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Korean BBQ experience in Santa Clarita. While I couldn't access specific menu details due to website access issues, the general sentiment from customers highlights the restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor, making it a worthwhile dining destination.
This is not so bad after all! Came here on a Monday night, still pretty much full, waited to be seated for about 30 minutes. We're a party of 3. The service was quick, we got all our appetizers and meats all at the same time ( Kalbi, Bulgogi, Chadol) these are good! Didn't enjoy the Pork Belly & Spicy Pork (somehow the quality of the meat is not good). Service Crews were very attentive, they were quick to change our grill and asked us every now and then if we need a refill and were quick to clean up done dishes! They have big serving portions, I'd suggest order your meats one at a time or you might not finish it all! Overall I can recommend this to a friend who craves for Korean BBQ once in a while and I sure would come back!

Some of the servers there are great - took a long time to get seated despite fully dressed tables being available. It's one of the only KBBQ spots north of the valley so it'll have to do.
The food was good, I have no complaints. The server/host, is what did not make the place as enjoyable. As soon as we showed up, he asked if we had reservations, and told us to make reservations next time, but let us go in anyway. The entire time, he just was not welcoming, and made for an awkward experience. There was another server, who was friendly, so there's that.
The ventilation. Please fix the ventilation. This is mainly what keeps me from coming back more often. I've been coming here for many years and every time I hope it's better, but it's still not. We sat at table 12 and our fan didn't work at all. It wasn't on from the beginning and made no noise. At our first grill change we asked for it to be turned on, and was told the fan at the empty table next to us would also help, but that the A/C was disrupting the flow. FWIW I saw tables near the corners of the restaurant that were okay with the smoke going directly up, but at our table the smoke just went straight into my face even with the fans on. Comfortable booth chairs but very uncomfortable breathing experience. I expect some smoke when going into kbbq but just be warned this place will wreck your clothes/hair/skin, personally I find it leaves me much grimier than any other kbbq restaurant I have been to. The meats are good. Apple pork is our favorite. Same menu for lunch and dinner I believe. In the future I hope they add squid and rice cakes to the menu. For appetizers I would skip the tempura, pancakes, gyoza, shumai, etc. and go for the higher quality sides like the hot stone bibimbap. They serve tart frozen yogurt at the end which is a nice balance to the kbbq flavor in your mouth (and hair, and skin, and clothes, and phone). Easy parking, decent restrooms. Service has always been a little slow and sassy at Gogi House but it was quite good for our first time coming here since covid started. The price of AYCE has gone up but I do think it is still fair. AYCE sushi for comparison has risen through the roof to unreasonable levels. We did try to make lunch reservations through Google beforehand and it said they were fully booked. We went by anyway and there were plenty of tables open, but we still got an earful about how they will require a reservation next time. Maybe that's why we were sat at the table with bad airflow? I advise calling ahead and making a reservation over the phone since online reservations can be inaccurate.
Definitely a place for 2 people to have a night out. We went with 9 people and from the start were treated great, seated next to another large gathering for a birthday as well. I called to let them know before hand that it would be a large amount and had to make a reservation, not a problem. We were all there and seated. Normally we go and 2 to 3 people fill the cooking grill with food to cook. 9 people and two little grills. We made it work. After a hour of waiting for the food to come to the table, cooking the food and everyone mid way eating were told we had already been there a hour and has 30 mins remaining for the all you can eat special. Once again not the issue on time but were having a birthday celebration. Were constantly asked to fill our water cups but never asked if we wanted more food to eat after the first plates were put on our tables. After they finally bring the additional food for us to cook we were just dropped. Normally they offer ice cream after dinner. They gave it to the party next to us but never came to offer us ours. Kinda just felt bad that we picked this place to celebrate. 400.00 bill and tip them just the 18% they added. If the service would of been what ot should of been I would if gave more then what was asked. Took my daughter out again with her friends to do pizza and a movie the next day. She had more fun then.
While to food is very good there. There are 2 guys that work there names Arthur and Juan. They are the gems of the place. But there is definitely a bad element in the staff. Her name is Jenny. She argues with the customers and and gets bent out of shape if your beliefs are not the same has hers. She clearly has never heard the saying THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT AND WHEN IN DOUBT REFER TO RULE #1. We pay your wages and if you don't like something a customer has said you don't need to get in their faces and argue the fact. She is my only reason for giving the place a 3 star rating. As long as she works there I wont be coming back. The 1.5 hour rule is a total joke and a bad one. It should start when your food comes not when you get sat down. everyone is different and some people can eat more than others. in my party I had 1 person who practically has a hollow leg and other who eats like a bird. It is wrong to tell your customers that they have only 1.5 hrs to be at the restaurant when that rule was created during Covid. That rule needs to be abolished.
Food is tasty, no complaints. No guarantee you get everything you order during all you can eat. Servers are constantly rushing you and can come off as rude. I ordered dumplings, they didn’t come. I asked 2 different servers for it a total of 3 times yet they were trying to kick us out over time limit issue. It really ruined the experience when it was’t my fault for being late.
If there's 4 people eating and one comes late, then that fifth person pays full meal. Its all you can eat but they'll charge you for the food that's left over. The grill we had the flame more centered on the middle of one side and kept burning the meat.
Let me start off by saying this place is just okay. The minute you walk in, you're not greeted. Also make sure you have a reservation even when the restaurant seems empty. You are then taken to your table, which for us was dirty with left over food stuck to the table and was sticky. Had someone wipe it down and it was still sticky. Also asked for a booster seat which was sticky as well. The place overall felt dirty. We left feeling dirty. The fans to eliminate the smoke from cooking were non existent. You left feeling coated in smoke and smelling of it. Showers are needed after dinner. The meat overall was at best a 2 out of 5. All of the meat had loads of fat, hoping it would have much flavor, I was let down. The sauces helped but honestly this place needs a few things to be better. Better meat, better atmosphere, better cleanings, happier workers, and better variety of food.
Authentic korean food, but reservations required which is very annoying (even with the restaurant more than half empty, they won’t seat you, what kind of policy is that???). Walked in too many times without a reservation only to walk out and go next door. Food is great though! I am usually doing pick up or to go to avoid the wait.
The food is generally good. But the service is always so bad when I go there. They tends to forget my phone orders and then make me wait a extra 20 minutes to get it. Plus, when ordering they most of the time they forget the tempura portion of the order. It really sucks, when you order in advance then have to wait 20 minutes to get your order and on top of it no tempura!!!. The staff doesn't seem to care and usually never apologize. I wish there are more korean bbq places in Santa Clarita so that the staff learn the value of customer service.
I have been there before and despite the all you can eat option it was pretty decent. However, my kids and I went there the other night to walk in and was told we could not be seated because it was reservations only although there were plenty of seats and it was only 630pm in a Sunday. Plus there was no indication of reservations only. I only found that out once we arrived. They seem like they really don’t care about accommodating people, the attitude seems like if you don’t like it leave and come back another day. Customer service is clearly a lost art. Not sure if I will go back there. Going to try Charcoal Korean BBQ to see how that experience is. If it works out no more Gogi House for me!
We went for all you can eat and they weren't up front about their policy on uneaten food and paying for it. I understand the policy completely, but when we were ordering we weren't sure about portions and asked repeatedly to server if it made sense to order that much. We have done Korean/Japanese BBQ in other places where portions were relatively small so we thought we were ok. He said we were fine, but there was only two of us and it literally could have fed 10 people. At end of day we were stuck with very large bill for food that wasn't really all that.
My first time at a Korean BBQ restaurant, the servers seemed to have a miscommunication with the cooks in the back and the servers would occasionally come by the table and turn the fire down on the table while we were cooking raw meat, so that was annoying, but the food was great, also depends how you cook it but the food was undeniably good, but they also ran out of rice while I was there... but again the food was delicious, so overall give it a try (EDIT) I went back there myself and another friend to get the food again because the food was surprisingly good... but you *NEED* a reservation, restaurant was empty and they refused service because I didn't call for a reservation. Just go to the sushi place next store
The food was great but the service was questionable. They didn't let us know how long the wait would be for a table, wouldn't recommend a minimum cooking time even though we had small children, forgot multiple items, and asked if we were ready for the check after only being there twenty minutes despite the fact we had AYCE and were ordering drinks. Maybe we just had a terrible waitress as the rest of the folks seemed to be having a great time and all the tables were full. Don't know if we'll be back.
server sat us in the back and it was freezing cold. when we asked to move (there were several other tables open) they told us we couldn’t move because they were “about to close” but it was 7:15 and they close at 10pm…. Service overall was slow and we had to literally get up from our seats and flag a host down to order more food.
***Beware*** 9.75% tax on mandatory gratuity is baked into their payment system calc. Gogi's payment system adds together food, beverages, and "mandatory" gratuity (5 or more guests), then calcs current 9.75% sales tax on the total. By making the tip "mandatory" – not optional – they've made it a fee for service, and by law, you're charged tax on a tip when it's classified as fee for service. Sadly, when you pay, there's a empty tip line, so many patrons likely add an additional tip. What you SHOULD know... when a tip is mandatory (legally defined as a "service charge"), it is house revenue. The restaurant owns that money first. What happens next is determined by the restaurant's internal policy, which is often not transparent to the customer. Since it's a service charge, they can redistribute it however they see fit, including taking a substantial cut off the top for general business expenses or owner profit, aka significantly reducing monies paid to the server. UGH!

I don’t usually give bad ratings (check my history), but Gogi House definitely deserves it. This place has terrible service if your party is over 2 people. If you can avoid this place, you’re better off going to Subway or McDonalds down the road. You’ll get the same level of service.
I like this place when they opened. It looks like they haven't cleaned anything but the tables since they've opened. Probably one of the dirtiest places I've ever eaten. The walls are covered in a layer of grease as is everything else. Absolutely disgusting. I've never been in a dirtier Korean bbq place. They have some of the worst, slowest cooking grills of any kbbq I've ever been to. the kitchen looks just as filthy as the seating area. They had 10 tables open and made us wait ten minutes for them to seat us as they ignored us standing at the front. Take your business elsewhere.
This used to be our to go Korean bbq spot. I was very disappointed with the service today. The workers there need to be taught better customer service and be more welcoming. This place is definitely not what is used to be before. Not to mentioned they charge 29.99 for a 7 and 8 year old.
I arrived at 9:10pm and was told by the host that they don’t sit anyone past 9:15 . So five minutes and they couldn’t accommodate me and my party of 5. Then we confronted the front desk gentleman that it was before 9:15 pm and he said the kitchen was closed and they don’t accommodate walk ins only reservations even though nothing states this on the website or on the signs. He was very rude and I am surprised the restaurant is so willing to turn business away so easily when we arrived before the cut off. Very underserving of the treatment.
Beware, reservation only! Not sure when this business practice started but my group of four was turned away at 5pm stating that they were full for their 6pm reservations. There may have been 4-5 small groups seated at this time. No attempt to accommodate, not returning for their service.
I will never eat here again in my life. I'm a gastric-by patient and they would not accommodate me what's so ever. I had 3 people that order the all you can eat and I needed to a simple dinner combo plate and was told "NO".....I WAS TOLD I HAD TO ORDER THE ALL YOU CAN EAT.... BECAUSE THE OTHER 3 PEOPLE WERE ORDERING IT. ALSO, I HAD BUGS OM MY FOOD. If I could give a zero, I would.....
I would give this place 0 stars for customer service if I could. My sister and I came here around 6:30 and there were only 3 groups sitting outside and 2 sitting inside. We waited inside for someone to sit us and after waiting about 5 min a server came to us and asked if we had reservations, which we didn’t so he told us to wait outside. We waited outside for over 15 more minutes and multiple servers came in and out to wait on the tables seated which by the way were only 3 outside leaving about 5 tables empty and not 1 person approached us to Atleast put our name down on a waitlist (even though we were the only 2 people waiting to be seated) I understand we are still going through a pandemic but that doesn’t excuse us from providing horrible service. You just lost a customer and I will be sure to inform all my family and friends about my experience.
The meat was hard and taste old. The appetizers was oily (cooked in old oil). The manager and owner are very rude. Service was horrible. They are slow even though there were only few guest (around 3 tables). And they feel they can do crappy service just because they know they are going to charge you a mandatory 18% gratuity anyways. Not going to eat here again. Crappy food and crappy service. I spoke to the manager and owner and they didn't agree with us and just said, well that's fine, if your not happy, don't eat here anymore! Spoiled brats!
Terrible. Saw my friends through the window so I sat down for one second to stay out of the way of the servers, and to say hello. Manager walked over and said because I sat down, I would be charged the full price of all you can eat. I responded with sorry I was just leaving, I was just saying hello. He told me he didn't care, and that someone had to pay. Joke of a restaurant. Cost me 45$ because I sat down. Will never go back, and will tell my friends not to either.
I have to update my previous review to 1 star ( zero if possible) after my experience today. My daughter and I got there earlier before my wife and they didn’t allow us to seat until everybody arrived. I told the waitress that my wife will be about 15 minutes late, but she insist that it’s the store policy. I asked if the policy is because of the time limit and her answer was “yes”. So I told her that they can start the time limit now & charge me with 3 person if she doesn’t up show but the answer remains the same. Getting her response that always says “store policy” without looking directly me, she’s nowhere near from friendly with her “like I care” written on her face, I decided to walk away. And now I declare that I will never ever come to this place anymore
This place has gone downhill. The quality used to be mediocre at best before and now their reservation policy has completely obliterated whatever respect I had for this place. Poorly managed. Walked in at 4pm (not even peak dinner rush) for a party of 3 and we were told it was reservation only. I kid you not, the place was completely empty. No one was seated. We could have eaten and left before the place got close to filling up. If I'm making a reservation for KBBQ, I'm going to the valley because there are places far better than this that are worth the hassle.
Very disappointed with the service today. We were sat down and rushed to get out. We had reservations at 445 showed up at 450 and didn’t get seated till 5 since they were on the phone and getting the table ready. It says you have 1:30 to eat your food. 40 mins in they told us it was last call. About an hr in, the bill was brought out yet we were still cooking. At the 1hr mark we were told they needed the table for the next party yet a lot of tables around us were empty. I get it we got there 5 mins late but when you tell me it’s because we were late which is why we are being rushed is ridiculous. Not even following your own guidelines! Food is good. Price is $35 for ayce dinner. But service needs to get better.
This is the first KBBQ place I've seen have a time limit. Pretty ridiculous over the price; 40 dollars for KBBQ? The meats are the same quality you can get at Gen for 20 dollars less. If you're coming in with a group more than 5 people you're FORCED to pay a "service fee" of 18%. Why should I have to pay a forced tip? Why isn't management paying for the employees' wages that I have to pay for? The ramen is literally the topramen packets you can buy for .50 cents. I found it insane how you're timed. Save yourself the money and just drive to Northridge and K-Town.
During my time at this restaurant, my boyfriend and I were discriminated against, the service was horrible. My boyfriend and I were the first to be seated in the section; however, the people who arrived after us were served first even though we were there 10 minutes before. By the time we got our drinks, the other tables that were after us already got their food, and we did not even get straws even though we asked several times. After we started eating, we noticed the servers offered to replace everyone else’s grills multiple times, except for ours, and when we asked to get ours replaced, the waiter placed the grill sloppily on our table. After a couple of minutes, we asked for a second order of noodles, and once it arrived, we could automatically tell that it looked completely different from the first order, but we thought nothing of it. Once we finally took a bite out of the second order of noodles, we had to spit it out because it was incredibly salty to the point where all it tasted like was salt which differed completely from the first order we had, which was sweet. After we decided enough was enough, we went to the manager (named Rudy); he said that he treats everyone the same and did not even address our concerns. The waiter chuckled in the background like the situation was funny. They did not even apologize or make things right.
My daughter has severe food allergies and she is unable to eat in restaurants so we have to specially prepare her food. This place has a very bizarre policy of requiring everyone at the table to order the all-you-can-eat if even one person at the table orders it. The host at the front informed me that we would have to pay a full price for my 9 year old daughter ($20), because they could not monitor if she was eating. I tried to assure the host that my daughter was unable to eat anything in the restaurant and we had no intention of sharing with her. The host robotically said, "this is company policy" so we told them we would not being eating there. He frankly seemed to care less. There are also weird signs posted around the restaurant, such as, "If you order something and don't eat it, you will be charged extra." Very bizarre and distrustful place. The time we ate there before, the food was fair, but the service was horrible, and the signs had me worried about the amount we ordered. It is virtually impossible not to order too much food....so frankly, they could charge a surcharge anytime the greedy owner wants.
My husband called yesterday, Saturday 02/27, to make reservations for 8:15pm. Something came up so we had to cancel & we called and spoke to a female employee at like 5pm (She was polite and helpful). She thanked us for calling ahead of time and offered to reschedule us for a different day. We then made a reservation for today at 6:30pm, I called to confirm because it is a 45 minute drive for us & I wanted to make sure we'd show up at the correct time. Immediately their manager who answered the phone was rude and cancelled our reservation. He states that this would of been our 3rd time canceling when I was literally just calling to confirm. It's upsetting because we only rescheduled once & gave them a 3 hour notice! I would of understood if I was canceling again but the fact that I was just calling to confirm and got treated so poorly and got my reservation cancelled is just insane. Other then the long wait time we've never had any complaints about this place but after this I don't I could ever go back. It was beyond disrespectful how he kept talking over me and wouldn't let me explain that I was just trying to figure out what time the reservation was for. Like if you're mad that I was trying to be a decent human and show up at the correct time then you seriously need some anger management lol. Update: I never went back to Gogi House BUT I found even better all you can eat KBBQ not too far! KBob in Lancaster, Gen KBBQ in Northridge & AYCE Gogi in Van Nuys. Have never had an issue being walk in, & The customer service is great at all these places & the food is also great! The quality in the meat is better imo. Just thought I’d share since I notice a lot of ppl are leaving negative reviews here.
Bad service, greedy and very inconsiderate. 8 of us went to this place to celebrate our friends birthday. We were seated and when we told them that 2 of our friends won’t have all you can eat, The server requested our 2 companions to leave our table and wait in the waiting area. We asked if they can at least just wait in our table but they said no, they need to go back to the waiting area. That’s ok. We started eating our side dish/banchan while waiting for our food when they requested us again to move out of our table because we are only 6 and the table is for at least 7 people. Very inconsiderate. We have already started eating and they wanted us to move out and go to waiting area again.
Had been coming here for years. This is the last time I will come to this place. We were rushed the moment we sat down. To make it worst the “manager” comes over and starts arguing with us on the time we got sat down. What a manager. If the owner doesn’t take it serious enough to screen their staff I guess they don’t care about the future of their business. This place over the years has plummeted in the quality of service. The staff years ago was super friendly… not any more!! The worst experience.
If I can give zero stars I would! Today being Father's I wanted to go have a nice dinner with my husband and kids. So we decided to go to Gogi house in Bouque canyon. My son is autistic so for him, we always bring his own food since he wont eat anything else. We have gone to other korean bbq restaurants and no one has ever given us an issue. Today I experienced discrimination against my son and I felt very upset about how they handled everything. First they told me I had to pay for him even do he wasn't eating. I was even willing to pay, even after I explained that I had documents if they wanted to see proof and that he got his own food. However, they said they don't accept outside food because it's policy. I said if they can make an exception and they said no. Therefore, we left! And we will never be back. They need to be more understanding to the different disabilities and be more accommodating. My son is 5 and felt upset we couldn't have a father's day dinner. We always go to Charcoal Korean bbq on soledad and they have never given us an issue! Only reason we decided to try Goyi house is because we were near the area. I advice people not to go here. Their customer service is horrible! Update: we came to have all u can eat at Xeviches and they have same policy but they were understanding and let us in with his food ! They sould learn from other restaurants !
Early November was the first time I went to this place, service was very friendly and the food was delicious (I gave 20% tip). I had finally found my new favorite Korean BBQ. Today I decided to go again, when I arrived at the place the host was friendly, I placed my first order of meat, so there were approximately 40 minutes that I was there eating when they brought the bill and 5 minutes later someone came and turned off the grill. I found it strange since I would pay for ALL YOU CAN EAT. So I asked them to turn the grill on again and placed my second order of meat. At that point the staff were no longer friendly. One of the attendants (blonde woman) was very rude saying that this would be my last order of meat, I didn't understand the situation, this was only the second time I had ordered meat and I would pay for ALL YOU CAN EAT. It hadn't been an hour since I was at the place, there were two other tables where the customers were already there when I arrived and were still eating. So I paid the bill, at that moment who was serving us was someone else a little friendlier than the last one, so I asked why I couldn't keep eating since I paid for the ALL YOU CAN EAT option. She told me I couldn't order anything else as they had a reservation for a large group approaching... anyway I didn't understand why, I paid to eat as much as I could and that's not what I got. Yes the food was delicious but the service was terrible not to mention that I paid for something I didn't receive. Unfortunately I don't plan on going back there again. There are other Korean BBQ's where there really is the option of ALL YOU CAN EAT, and for a better price. (this time I gave $0 tip)
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!. If I could give 0 stars I would. If you want Korean bbq, go somewhere else. There are plenty of kbbq restaurants , AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! They really need to train their staff better or get rid of him.
Myself and my family used to love this place. When they stayed reservation only things took a turn for the worse. They sat my sister and I despite not having a reservation but were treated almost like we didn't exist. Like most all you can eat KBBQ they have a 90 minute time limit. This place intentionally took our order once and then made us wait almost 40 minutes for our next order. Then had the audacity to tell us we only had enough time for one more order. Are you kidding me! Didn't let that stop us from coming back though, this time with more family. Wouldn't you know it they did us dirty like that again. Never again Gogi House! My family has not returned back since then.
I recommend for you to spend your money elsewhere. They dont deserve it. Food is great, no doubt. But this place has the WORST policy/service, ever! I’ve worked in the F&B industry and I know when a customer is right or not. We’ve come here a few times and most often than not we’d always have to endure how rude some servers are. Our last visit was the last straw where we end up walking out as they sat our group of 7 into a 4 seater booth. We asked to be moved to a bigger table and if they’re not available we’d rather just split and occupy two booths - they straight up told us no, that it’s their policy to seat us in a small table since we are 1 reservation. Imagine, having a small inefficient burner to feed 7 people within 1 1/2 hour is just absurd. We went to Gen KBBQ , paid a lil extra for a premium menu and probably had one of the best KBBQ dining experience we had! Never this place again!
Had a reservation for 8pm, arrived and checked in with entire party by 805. Waited over 30 mins to be sat while walk ins were sat before us. Party of 7 squished into a tiny table because we had 1 person cancel last minute (we were supposed to be a party of 8) and we sat and waited another 25 minutes without anyone taking even taking a drink order. After sitting at the table for 25 minutes being ignored, my husband asked for a larger table, and the manager asked us to go wait up front again for a table so we left. All in all we waited OVER AN HOUR with never even having someone take a drink order. We were there to celebrate my son's 13th birthday, and ended up not being able to celebrate him. Service was absolutely horrendous, especially from their manager.
This used to be our go-to spot but the last few times have been such a hassle. I’m writing this outside the business as we showed up at 8:37 tonight to eat as they supposedly close at 9:30. Even though I’m staring at the hours on the door and it says everyday 11:00-10:00. They tell me that they can’t do all sit down service because they close in an hour. That’s fine, this is the last time I will be coming here I will find another restaurant interested in making money.
Horrible service, went today with the family and had a party of 7. They sat us in a table that sits 4 people and put a chair on the side. I asked the waiter can we get a bigger table and he said these tables are for partys of 12. Im sure there was no way a party of 12 was going to show up at 2pm in the afternoon. They didn't accommodate us and we left. I guess they rather loose the money over service.
Gogi review Absolutely the most abhorrent service I’ve ever experienced in my 48 years of dining out! We had a reservation for 10. There were 9 people from our party present however we weren’t allowed to be seated. Long story short we lost our reservation because 1 person from our party had not arrived. We asked if we could be considered a walk in when our entire party arrived and we were told no. The restaurant was 60% empty! The manager was extremely condescending and had the most unprofessional attitude I’ve ever witnessed. We will NEVER be back. Disappointing and an unbelievable lack of customer service.
We visited Gogi on 12.19.23 for my daughter’s birthday. It was a party of 4, basically 3 adults and my (5 year old) son. My 5 year old son did not eat at all. When I got my check, I could not believe I was charged $28 for my son. I requested to speak to the manager at the moment, I could see the manager was not interested about waving such ridiculous charge. I explained I wasn’t aware of their policy but the manager was on a mission for me to pay in full. In our conversation the manager stated, “I did not see if your son eat or not”. He basically called me a liar in front of my family. Very unprofessional and I will not return to this place ever again. This manager failed to be understating and lacked professionalism on approaching customers. Great place to dine but this experience was negative for me and my family and terrible for my daughter’s birthday celebration.
My wife brought me and the family for Father's here. My son is autistic so we always bring his own food since he only eats food with certain textures, he wont eat anything else. We have gone to other korean bbq restaurants and no one has ever given us an issue. Today we experienced discrimination against my son and was very upset about how they handled everything. First they told us we had to pay for him even do he wasn't eating. Wife explained that we had documents if they wanted to see proof and that he got his own food. Awful owners, disrespectful, hang up phone when call. Call us back- Reboost
Went to go out and eat with three of my friends. We were sat and served by a Caucasian man, he was very rude and not even 5 minutes into eating, came up to me and my friends saying that we couldn’t marinate the meat with soy sauce, I told him that I didn’t know that was something I could not do so I told him I was sorry and apologized he said that if he saw me do it again he’ll stop giving us meat and just walked away. Ridiculous place, never coming back save your money there is other Korean bbq spots actually worth your money.
If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. The service is horrific. They sat people at tables that came way after us. Plus we had reservations. If you are not a regular, they make sure you feel it with the lack of service. Another customer had to point us out and say we had been there way ahead of them. They were rude and dismissive. They gave us 2 hours to eat but didn't bring food to cook. The staff was arguing loudly in front of guests.
Usually no issues. Got sat down 20 min after reservation. Only to be surprised by our waitress saying we had 30 minutes to give up the table. About 10 minutes before we were supposed to leave we were told once more our time was coming to an end. You can only imagine how annoying this must have been trying to eat dinner while rushing us out, then it got better. The incompetent manager stepped and started arguing with us on the time that we had technically been seated. After years of coming here this is the last time we will be dinning here. So long Gogi House! Fire your manager you will keep losing business with his unprofessional attitude.
DO NOT GO HERE!! they charge a MANDATORY 18% SERVICE FEE ontop of your tables order, this can add up big for each person if your going with a group of people it can get very expensive, our dinner totalled over $300 for what was barely noticeable service and just okay food. you'll get the same thing at any korean bbq spot plus you won't have to essentially pay their server's wage for them since they offload that cost onto each patron. Ontop of all that, they limit you to how long you can be there to about an hour and a half before we stopped being served. Dont go here unless you want to leave both hungry and unsatisfied with the service paid for. Also Management at this resturant is terrible!
It’s a shame the food is so great and the staff is so extremely horrible. Went with a party of 12 people ON MY BIRTHDAY and were completely ignored for 20 minutes after the first round of food was brought out. Staff was able to have conversations with co-workers, change the channels on their TV, but somehow wasn’t able to serve us. The only time I’ve seen the service be actually very good is when the Owner came in herself to assist. Absolutely crazy. Friends and family of mine spend about $1-$2k/month at this place, we will no longer be coming here until staff changes are made.
Food was good but the Caucasian sever was rude. At the entrance offer discount for children, they charge me full.price.for my child. He also took forever to come back to the table. The other waiters came when I ask for help and they were polite and offer refillfor everything. Y original waiter never come back except fir the bill. Customer service for some of the employees definitely urgent need.
We just left this place, I would have rated 0 stars if I could. The place was empty, yet we waited over 10 minutes to be seated. The guy that was managing the front was not friendly at all. Once seated, we waited over 10 minutes, and left because no one came to even offer us water. Horrible customer service and their grills were disgusting, I have never seen dirtier grills. Do not recommend this place.
The service is very bad we went yesterday 11:30am the staff is rude the only thing is good is the tempura and the steak, the bolgogi taste like old meat the yogurt is sweet like vanilla ice cream. Just call is ice cream instead of yogurt lol the griller just heat 1 side and if you will put the fire a little bit high they will put down again we waited for 30-45mins to cook our bolgogi and they told us that we need to leave at 1pm lol I know there is a time limit but with that kind of griller 1.5h is not enough to eat if you guys are 4 or more people! There is a lot of korean bbq that it’s more worth it and good service and definitely NEVER COMING BACK AND I WILL NEVER CRAVE FOR THEIR FOOD LOL

Awful service. Owner does bad business. Very disrespectful. Lots of other restaurants you can go to!
I was excited to try this spot after hearing recommendations from friends, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. From the start, the service was painfully slow, and we were left waiting for what felt like forever. The food, especially the meats, had no flavor—something you definitely don’t expect when going for Korean BBQ. To make matters worse, we had to repeatedly ask for the usual side dishes that should come with the meal. The salad was barely a salad at all—just some lettuce with dressing, which felt like a letdown. We also ordered steak, but when we asked about it after waiting a while, we were told they were out. The issue? They hadn’t bothered to inform us ahead of time, leaving us without an option to choose something else. The price we paid was for premium meats like other places but nothing on the menu was premium meats. Between the lack of flavor and poor service, we won’t be returning. There’s a much better spot just 10 minutes away that does Korean BBQ right. And the prices are way more affordable.
Here is the story. My family and I decided to go eat here for dinner. The minute we get here we notice one of the servers chatting with another guest for quite sometime not tending to other customers. My 3 year old son spilt soup on him and I asked the first person I saw if he could get me napkins. He brought me 2 napkins which I then asked for more since it was a big mess. He said sure but then proceeded to stop and continue to talk to the same guest. I got up and asked where the napkins were cuz I would get them. He then approached me and said he didn’t like the way I handled the situation. I asked to speak to the manager and it turns out he was the manager. He proceeded to tell him if I didn’t like it we can go somewhere else. Needless to say we paid for our food we got and left. Will never come back and suggest you all do the same and not come here unless you want despicable service!
I cannot say anything about the food, because we didn’t even get to order. Rudest host threw menu at me and while we were first to arrive (party of 2), party of 5 that arrived after us was served. I was going to say maybe something about me turned the owner off, but after reading all the other reviews, it not me it’s him. I am even surprised he stayed in business this long. Not recommending at all!
Went here with my family for KBBQ a while back, and the white waiter charged us drinks per person just because my sister took a sip of my Coke. He even said, “You all sipped from one cup, so that’s four drinks.” And for somebody that was spying on us, the service was terrible -- he only ever came back for the bill. If you want to enjoy your meal without getting nickel-and-dimed for sharing, go anywhere else. If you want a power tripping loser to serve you, this is the place.
