Lemon ice unlike any other. Not too sweet, with bursts of lemon zest and such a perfect soft texture. Summertime staple. The tomato pie at lunch time is my favorite with big chunks of roasted garlic and a crisp crust. Classic Schenectady. Update! Same delicious favorites, with an awesome new patio. Can't wait to go back.

As an Italian from the Bronx and new to the capital region … what a find!!! Sfogliatella was AMAZING … crispy outside, soft inside. The absolute best I’ve found in the area! My partner and I shared the pistachio cheesecake for dessert, delicious!! Grazie mille, Ti auguro tanto successo!

We ordered a tray of cookies instead of flowers for my family in Schenectady when they gathered for the passing of my cousin. Roie went above and beyond to give them a beautiful tray of cookies that everyone loved. Each one is beautifully hand-made by her! No-one wants to mourn the loss of a loved one, but I can tell you that the response from the cookies was remarkable. We were happy to show our love through this gesture and Civitello's went above and beyond to help us share our love with family. AND When my brother and sister-in-law came to visit In Kansas City soon after, they brought us cookies, cannolis, and pizza from Civitello's. The pizza was incredible! The cookies, each hand made by Roie, were so moist and delicious - they did not last long. And, the Cannolis! Wow - thank you Angela for that delicious filling. If you need to make yourself or someone you love immediately feel special, make sure to think about Civitello's first. Food vs. Flowers - I choose food! Thank you Civitello's!

This was my first time there, found a table sat at the table and when I saw other people doing different things, I realized that no one was going to come to my table. I had to ask how do I order, then I had to order. Luckily they did bring the food to us. Just a very different experience, not anything that I was used to.

I used to visit civitello's in little Italy when I was in schenectady. As a good italian, I would visit Porecca's across the street. I usually get some tomato pie and other things at Porecca's but I also would cross the street and get some tomato pie at Civitello's. I really enjoyed it. I really hope Civitello's reopens. Molto bene . I see Civitello's has reopened , I must visit soon .

So pleased to see the shop reopened. Went downtown yesterday and ordered a few sandwiches , a couple of turkey sandwiches and a couple of Wednesday specials—the eggplant sandwiches. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the shop looked great. Loved seeing the old pictures and the pastries looked awesome. Turkey sandwiches were great, nothing was changed. Having loved the eggplant sandwiches in the past, the current sandwich did not measure up to what I recall. I would urge the current management to find the past recipe and do your darndest to duplicate it. The bread was fine, the sauce was great, but the internals were too bready and the piece of actual eggplant too thin. Hope this helps. So glad to see you are reopened and going down today for the lemon ice.

Terrific customer service and sometimes the cookies and pastry are great and sometimes they're a little day old but more consistent than Villa Italia who charges three times as much and you never know if you're going to get fresh or 3 days old.

Not sure what happened but the Fake iceing was a huge disappointment. And the girl behind the counter was pushy and super awkward. And to top it all off she didnt have her hair tied back, 🤦🏻‍♀️dude its food service, hellooo…Just not the same Civitellos 😢
