The food has been good the few times we were there. Their fish was very good, the crock of onion soup very good along with my bleu wedge salad. All very well prepared and very good staff. My wife likes her fries crispy but that is the only thing they can't seem to accomplish.

If you eat here ask for Britnee!! She was absolutely amazing and her energy was beyond uplifting!!! Service was 100/10!!

Stopped in for a quick bite before going to the Casino, Our server Taylor was the absolute best! She was very sweet. She went out of our way to make sure we were happy! Even though it was very busy, she made sure to stay close by and check in often! I really liked my steak tips and Chicken that she suggested! I recommend that anyone looking for a decent meal and not spending a million to stop by and try 99. If the other waiters are as good as her, You will be happy for sure!

Sat at the bar during happy hour. Drink specials were good, wide selection of draft beer, food was good, and friendly bartender who was quick to replace your empty glass. Absolutely love this 99 location. Our absolute favorite one! The staff are always so friendly and kind. Stephan is such a nice guy and we always look forward to having him as our waiter! We couldn’t figure out how to sign up for the member deal and he used his own employee meal to cut down our price. Absolutely love him and he’s one of the main reasons we love this location so much!

This is a relaxed atmosphere with several of televisions in the bar , so if you are out alone , I’ll guarantee you the bartender, other bar patrons will make you feel right at home with this friendly crowd of people . Anthony makes the best drinks & will remember your drink choice from the last visit . A complimentary bowl of popcorn is always a treat. The food is always good , hot & served in a timely manner . If there’s anything you dislike , they are very accommodating to make you happy . I get the fiesta chicken bowl every time I go there it’s so delicious! The entire staff is always welcoming & friendly . This is a family friendly place , the children’s menu with it’s fun word activities comes with a box of crayons to keep them occupied while waiting for food . I do call ahead seating around dinner time otherwise you shouldn’t have much wait . I recommend it here .

Ordered take out on Mother’s Day. Got 2 Lobster Roll dinners a cheeseburger and cookies for dessert. At first I was surprised that the lobster was not “dressed” with much dressing as was the coleslaw. We made the best. The bun was toasted and butter and had bed of lettuce. The lobster bisque, French fries and cookies were delish!!! I called the restaurant this morning, explained the situation so this wouldn’t happen to anyone else but Eric the manager went a gracious step further and gave me a credit for a portion of my bill that more than covered the lobster rolls. I will continue to order eat in and take out from 99. Well done Eric!!!!!

Dined in with the wife and kids today and had a wonderful experience. The food was great, the service was exceptional. Special mention of our server Jenny who was just outstanding. She made the experience so worthwhile. Thanks to Jenny we will definitely be visiting that restaurant time and time again. Also as a custom we when dine out, I always order any dark beers/stouts and when another server at this same restaurant told me no dark beer before, today Jenny got me Guinness draught from the bar. Thanks for making our day better, 2 thumbs up. 5 stars.

Always a good meal here. I think the consistency is what makes this place a good spot to go to. I think they do American cuisine pretty well. You know what you are gonna get but food is always tasty. Staff is friendly and attentive. They definitely strive to make sure things are sanitized too. Yeah, if you are looking for tried and true, then that is 99.

This was my first time here and I was not disappointed. The service was amazing and super friendly. I got the boneless wings and they are mouth watering. You have to try the honey bbq sauce on the wings. The fries are just as good. My wife loved her fajita bowl. If we had one closer to home we would go for sure.

Had dinner here tonight, first time in a long time. It may just be us but it seems like the quality of the service and the food was a lot higher than last I went. We were greeted in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. Our server was great and food was plentiful and delicious! Absolutely, absolutely will go back again and again! Highly, highly, highly recommended!!!

Food was really good. Only had apps but very good. Our waitress could have been better. Very slow and never stopped to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else.

A good variety of good, basic food. They also have a couple of craft beers on tap. The only meal that I don't recommend is the lobster roll. It didn't taste anything like the Maine lobster I'm used to. The service is always friendly and attentive.

Food is good and ambiance is fine although a bit noisy. My biggest complaint is why did you get rid of the Sweet Potato Encrusted Haddock??? Once I discovered this dish, it instantly became my favorite!! I was finding myself visiting weekly, if not more, for this item. PLEASE bring it back to your menu and keep it on as a regular menu item!

Ordered well done steak. Sent it back 3 times even the manager can and saw how bloody it was and finally took it off the bill. Didn't get to eat being that by the 4th time everyone wanted to leave cause they are. So I had burger king after going here for dinner. This was at the Rotterdam mall one.

New years day 730 PM. Quiet nite,out of potato skins, no problem all I wanted was a burger, Rare and boy was it great. Nice server Kayla ! Great service. Pleasant. Have to come back again.

There were a few rough spots in the beginning, the greeters in the front of the restaurant need better training in customer service. We ordered food and it seemed to be a problem with one of the food items. The manager came from out back, discussed it with us and offered apologies and alternate (which showed her integrity) and gained my respect. We reordered, the food was delicious and the soup is to die for. When in the area I will be visiting again.

I never like to leave negative reviews but the last two times I’ve visited this location and it hasn’t the best. First time the Mac n cheese was nasty and the next time the orders were incorrect. This location is nice seeing how there isn’t much in Rotterdam. Foods usually very good. Until next time.

Our server had the bar and the entire bar side of the facility. I felt bad for her but she was so sweet and smiley doing her best. She did ask for help from a few other staff who were available and they were all so nice and did t appear to be bothered or annoyed by her needing help.

Service was good, atmosphere was good. It wasn't to busy at the time we went so there wasn't a wait. They had a 2$ draft beer special which was nice. The buffalo chicken dip was great! Our meals were run of the mill chain restaurant. Not bad but not amazing.

The food was just alright (maybe 3 stars) but the staff was amazing and made it a very enjoyable dining experience so I gave it an extra star. They changed the TV closest to us to monster trucks so my sons would be entertained which was really nice for a single mom out with her kids alone to have the employees make an extra effort to ensure I could relax and eat my food :)

I went to this particular restaurant for my birthday last year. I had the Angus Steak Patty??? It was a bit dry, but otherwise​, it was nice. I also like their Trivia Nights, but I usually go to the Wolf Road restaurant, since that one is closer​ to work. Their Grilled Basalmic Glazed Salmon is good too...although it's a bit dry at times. It needs just a bit more sauce.

Potato skins are back! Although they are not 100% the same, still tasty. The wing and skin sampler is yummy, and you can do 2 different types of wings. Worth it! Sat where I wanted and waitress was awesome.

Was at the 99 a week ago. Our waitress Breanna did a great job and shout to Frank in the kitchen for cooking a perfect Vermont Cheddar Burger. Keep up the good work! Excellent staff and crew.

I must say I was surprised at how good my food was, I had the smothered sirloin tips medium rare and they actually got them right, they were seasoned so well I didn't even use the steak sauce, my rice was under cooked so I switched to mashed potatoes and the asparagus was fine but I wasn't crazy about the sauce. My mom had the balsamic salmon which was good also but she wanted the haddock which was sold out so that tells you how good that must be. The service was also quick and courteous, the manager actually brought out our food and made sure everything was to our liking.

Fish tacos are always really good. I'm disappointed in the lobster roll. The meat was a little tough. But it's a chain restaurant so you know what you're getting. And I'm in love with the 4.99 Margariets!

Good food. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Good service. Good sized portions. Vegetables don't come with the entree. The checkout was a little confusing. It seemed like we were supposed to pay the waitress but there was no traditional credit card/bill folder.

There was 6 of isand for some reason tables couldn't be put together and we were shoved in a booth. Our waiter didn't really seem like he wanted to be there.... until the end, he ended up being really nice. Had a lavender lemonade and it was super good

stopped quick for a bite with mom. bartender took great care of us. we had a house salad that was large and their French onion soup. salad was fresh and tasty offering a number of dressing options. the soup was hot and tasty. only thing I would have do different is having only one slice of bread on top. two slices soaked up alot of the soup. cheese on top was just right. food came out fast as we had a place to be. beer was cold and there are tv everywhere if you are a sports fan. seats all look in good shape other part of the restaurant does show some wear.

Had to have my sandwich remade since the first was burnt. Otherwise I love the Cabot cheese Vermont maple sauce grilled chicken.

The food was great! Only problem was the manager was rude to her employees... a girl for the front that seated people came in late and the manager yelled at her saying she looked like she was dressed to go for a jog which is rude then forced her to go buy a new shirt to work in for the day. The worst part was when the girl left to go buy the shirt the manager proceeded to talk about her with other waitresses. I think this is very unprofessional and should have been handled in a different manner!

The salad was a little salty, the Shepard pie seemed like it was more potato than anything, but overall the food was good.

We had a large group with kids and were in a hurry for lunch after visiting the aquarium. We were seated fairly quickly. We sat at separate tables in separate areas. Service was okay. Food was okay. Nothing fancy but the kids were happy and fed. I had the potato skins and they were okay. Free popcorn at the table upon arrival was really the big winner all around. Free refills on kids drinks was also wonderful. Definitely a preferred place to eat over the food court options after visiting the aquarium and dinosaur spots!

The food is usually good. We sit at the bar all the time. For the most part the bartenders are great. There is one that made us sit for over 20 minutes. Never even acknowledged the fact that my boyfriends drink was empty and that we were ready to checkout. She had an attitude problem with us, not sure why, and it’s even worse now because I had to ask the manager to get our check. I absolutely hate coming in when she’s there.

I expected on Mother's Day for the restaurant to be busy which it was, however, I did not expect for our server to completely forget about us. Though our food and drink orders were accurate (albeit more expensive than it was worth), that is the only nice thing I have to say about her service. Our server eyeballed a larger party that came in after us and proceeded to cater to them the entire rest of our meal only coming to check on us once about 3 minutes after our food came out (that she did not bring). She did not bring enough straws for our table of 5 when she brought our drinks, promising to bring more (10 minutes later we had to ask another server because ours was nowhere to be found), did not come back to check if we needed refills (I had to ration my water to ensure I could share some with my young son so he had something to wash down his food when he finished his special drink) and we had to ask another server for our check and a to-go box. Unfortunately that person was not able to get into our server's account to print our check so we had to wait even longer. Meanwhile, there were three other servers waiting on other tables around us, constantly checking on each table, refilling drinks, etc. Unfortunately I fear our server saw dollar signs when she saw the larger party and missed out on what could have been a generous tip from us should she had been even remotely attentive. I might hesitate before choosing this particular location again for fear of getting sub par service again.

It was ok. The food wasn't bad, but not great either. The server was nice but we asked for a refill on popcorn and didn't get one. We also asked for steak sauce that we didn't get and had to ask another staff member for. There were no refills offered on drinks and the kids meal was supposed to come with an ice cream sandwich, which we also didn't get. Also, as a family of 4, we should have been placed in a larger booth for comfort and arm space. The bathroom was fine and the booth was clean.

Felt just a little understaffed - one sweet, but overwhelmed waitress seemed to have the bulk of a Friday night shift to herself and was barely able to interact with us as a result. Some of the ingredients were skimpy, the chicken was a touch on the overcooked side and the rice was under-seasoned. That said we were seated and served promptly, enjoyed our meal well enough and were happy to have some place to go left in the Rotterdam mall. Very reasonable prices, too! A nice enough lunch or dinner spot when visiting the VIA aquarium.

We stopped in to the 99 Restaurant for a quick bite before a show. We were seated almost immediately and a server showed up right away to take our drink orders. We had a very small toddler with us and the staff seeing this came over right away with a child booster seat which was very very helpful. Their Margarita's where large, colorful, delicious and full of flavor. Our meals took a little bit of time to come from the kitchen but they were at good temperature and very appetizing in appearance. The food was delicious and the portions were just right. Our server was a little unattentive and we did have to wait a while after we finished our meals for a check,but overall a very good experience that I wouldn't mind having again.

The 99 does not lack in being an inviting place to go, but with $15 burgers, I can't help but expect perfection. We ordered 4 burgers, 1 well done, 3 medium, and what we got was 2 medium, 2 well done. I thought it was strange that 2 dinners came out before the other 2 (1 was supposed to be medium, 1 well done), and we were waiting for our other 2 burgers (supposed to be medium). The first 2 burgers came out, and my father struggled with it because it was too underdone for his taste. We were sad that both of our burgers were dry on the inside and almost a little charred on the outside. This isn't my first 99 review, and on the last one, we were contacted and offered a free meal for our troubles. I never contacted the 99 or tried to get the free meals, as that was not the motivation for leaving a review in the first place. This is the 2nd questionable experience we have had with the 99. Just do better guys.. with prices this outrageous, you guys need to step up your game. Unlimited popcorn doesn't make up for this type of service.

Food quality was pretty mediocre. Menu consists of cheaper store-bought items that are heated and sold at hand made prices. Got a $28 lobster roll.. Expected a lobster tail on a nice bun.. received some chunk lobster bits from a can put on a hot dog bun. Basically they were a failed attempt to copy the Maine Lobster food truck sandwiches. The food truck is cheaper and considerably better in quality. Appetizer was stuffed scallops for something like 12-14$. Received 2 crabcake-like balls on seashells. Exactly like you can buy at Aldi. They tasted fine but other places would have given you 4 of them for that price.. if not 5-6. Rather unlikely we'll return.

This is mainly a sports bar vibe. Built-in booths and zero tables. Service was slow and inattentive. He was actually the bartender and more concerned with his own work. We had a group of six, and the booth was tight. Food was slow coming and just medoker. This location is very different from the other 99 restaurants I have experience with.

Food is average. Staff is friendly. Place is dirty. On my recent and very last visit, the restroom was dirty with no paper towels and no soap. And the staff kept vacuuming the carpet in the dining room while we at. And, later that nightI had what I believe was for poisoning. I was very sick all night.

Service was a zero. Christina stopped one time after we ate. Asked her for an extra plate never received it. I do not understand why this restaurant is still open. Stopped going to this one over 15 yrs ago. We walk in the mall so said let’s give them a shot. Thank you for reinforcing the fact this restaurant is below acceptable. Why are people still coming. Take the extra time and go to Wolf Rd. Or Glenville. Shut this one down once and for all!!

I ordered a king size order of broiled tips but was never given a price over the phone. It came out to 34 dollars after tax’s , I pay for what I order but if I knew it was a 8 dollar difference for a couple of extra tips I would have not ordered it. I feel that this store does not do what they are Supposed to do and give someone the full price of they’re order I paid for my order but 30 for some broiled tips is outrageous

2/27/22 We was told it would be a 15-20 minute wait and ended up waiting 40 minutes had to ask host if our table was ready because we didn't receive a message. We got to the table no popcorn was served took them about 30 minutes to bring over 2 margaritas and take our order. The waitress was extremely unpleasant she brought the food to the table and had someone at our table hand it out, that's her job not ours and the food was good not great she messed up our dessert order even after writing it down. Had to ask for bill 4 times. The manager was alright he tried to resolve the issue. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND!

Was with a friend and we wanted to catch a quick bite to eat before seeing the Gran Turismo movie at the ViaPort mall, and the 99 was forgettable. The service from the waitstaff was pretty decent and quick, however the biggest gripe was the food quality. We ordered 2 burgers cooked medium, and like the reviews prior mentioned, they were almost rare. Due to our time constraints of the movie showing at 8:10 and we were at the restaurant at 7:30 waiting for our food, we ate anyways. Burger was tasteless and undercooked, but I had a mozzarella appetizer that was actually really good. Overall it’s hit or miss here. Would I come back? Nah. Other places to go to in Schenectady/Rotterdam that are better for your money, for me and him to eat it was $50: not worth it. Sad to see how far down the old Rotterdam Mall has gone.

99 charges take out customer for take out packaging ,but if I dine in and take home leftovers there is no extra charge . It cost more to wash dinner ware than the few cents they pay for togo containers . The amount corporate charging the customers is not a problem, most customers probably don't care the small fee it's just another example corporate America maklng money putting extra charge on it's customers. Lost a loyal customer .

I've order Chicken Fried Dinner on two different occasions. Both times it was undercooked. I used to love it & ordered it everytime, 2 x a month. Manager apologetic & comp'd my meal. My most recent visit I ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium. Came out without the bacon & it was rare. Waitress apologized & got me another burger. 2nd RARE. Manager said he'd cook next burger. At that point, my dinner companions had finished their meals, so I asked to have a container to go. Got our check & thought the manager would have comp'd my dinner. NOPE I tipped the waitress generously, it wasn't her fault, but I'LL NEVER EAT AT 99 at Via Port again!!!

Horrible restaurant. Place used to be great back in the day. Service was slow and inattentive. Beef tips were burned and the Burger was raw. This place is on borrowed time.

Went there yesterday for the first time. Our server had a major attitude. Asked for straws for our beverages and it inconvenienced her. I ordered the chicken tenders that the menu clearly said came with honey mustard. Chicken was overcooked. No honey mustard. Couldn’t find our waitress so I had to ask the hostess. Terrible experience from the front door. Had to wait to be seated in a relatively empty space. Waitress inattentive. She never offered a second drink, messed up order but expects a good tip. Very disappointing.

Food was cold had to send back. ask for no cheese on the salad came with cheese. took 15 minutes to get drink refills and had to ask multiple times . was my goto for a quick decent meal service was slow food not very good and less food for more money.

We are long time customers of the Clifton Park location, and decided to give Rotterdam a try as my children absolutely love 99. We were greeted by the hostess, Tammy who we recognized from Clifton Park. She is always so welcoming, informative, professional, and ensures that our needs are met. However, we were sat with a server named Breanna. After 20 mins of sitting in our booth in the bar area, we had not been greeted by our server and a young hostess (dont remember her name) walked by so I stopped her to ask if maybe we could be moved. The restaurant was not busy, so there was no reason for it to take 20 mins to be greeted. The hostess reassured us that she was going to get her server who was "in the back" and she took our drink order. The same hostess brought our drinks over to us before Bre had even shown face to our table. Bre finally showed up to our table, did not introduce herself and rudely said "are you ready to order" in a rushing manner. I gave her our order and let her know that if the kids meals came up first to please bring them over because our children were getting antsy. Normally my husband and I would put an appetizer and our children's meals in at the same time and then eat our meal. We opted out of getting an appetizer as we felt uncomfortable at this point, and quite frankly like we were a nuisance.The hostess Tammy ended up bringing our food to the table, and very sweetly came back to check in on us to make sure the food was to our satisfaction. The server Breanna stood at the bar flirting with the male bartender, and was using profanity so bad that my child ended up repeating the words she was saying on the drive home. I am so sad that we had this experience, because we were regulars to the Clifton Park 99, and I now feel that we will never be returning to that location. Never once did she check back in with us, never once did she offer a drink refill. She seemed to be more involved in personal matters, on her cell phone, and using her paid time to flirt with the bartender. We even heard her make a complaint to the table sitting behind us about how rude we were, when we infact were not rude and did not even mention the issue to anyone or ask to talk to a manager. I am just now writing this review because it still has not sat well in my stomach, and my children ask to return to the 99 frequently. If I were this girls manager, I would do yourselves a favor and get rid of her. She is not a good representation of the 99 that I love and remember. Thank you to the staff that did go above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of. If I could've tipped Tammy and the other young hostess, I would have.

Appetizers are great, friendly staff and cute waitresses. New review: I came here and waited over 20 minutes for no waiter or waitress to acknowledge my table at all. Last time I was here I was so happy with it I tipped 50% of my bill now I just won’t come back. Forgot this place your time and money clearly better off somewhere else.

Terrible place if your not white… we had a waiter about 50 years old with sunglasses, he was sweating as if he was sitting in a sauna and walking as if he was running..He was so high off whatever, it was if we weren’t there.. never refill our drinks never checked on us. Didn’t even bring us our meal hostess Brought our meal over. He would walk past our table and check on everybody else but me, my son.. It became with joke, my son kept saying activate invisible power every time he would walk by us. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I wish I would’ve chose somewhere else instead.

Waitress Breanna was beyond rude. Complaining about people and their kids, making snide comments, very inattentive. Got nasty when we had to ask the manager for the check because she disappeared. The proceeds to run her mouth to the people at the table behind us about us. I could see it if we were rude. But she had an attitude before even saying hello.

Review as delivery driver. Stuff is extremely rude and refuses to cancel orders they sent out with people already causing multiple drivers to attempt to pick up before they deal with it on there end. If the staff and store isn't equipped to handle delivery, they shouldn't offer it.

Rats! This is a huge problem. We will not support this establishment again until they address this issue publicly and with the proper care and consideration. Rats in any restaurant is absolutely wild and unacceptable!

Get an exterminator in that place. I will never be back upon sitting down before even getting our drinks they were at least six or seven mice running around underneath the tables and across the floors even the waitress seen that and said she did not blame us for leaving there was zero chance I was staying for food with mice running across your feet.. Absolutely disgusting!!

Absolutely terrible service! Sat at the bar 5 mins before being asked if I wanted a drink, then was given a menu and another 15-20 minutes went by before bartender came to ask what I wanted. Food came out fast I ate then waited another 20 minutes before bartender came back. Bartenders only care about regulars and having conversations between themselves. Also they overserved some guy and he fell down outside and bartender disappeared to deal with that. Her name was Kelly. Other bartender couldn’t be bothered to help me with anything. Will not be back

This restaurant seems lazy. I have eaten at other locations numerous times. They were unwilling to accommodate allergies. If you have food allergies, don’t go to this location.

Food Poisoning! We walked in and stood for about 5 minutes for someone to come up and ask “are you guys waiting to be seated?”. We got seated and after placing our order we saw a mouse 🐭running around. We shouldve just canceled the order right after but we were already there and this place was the only place we had time to sit and eat on a Saturday night. I ordered stuffed scallops, description says “plenty” but only two came on the plate for about $12. Ordered cheeseburger as the meal (dry burger, left basically everything on the plate. Woke up in the middle of the night to extreme stomach pains and vomitting. Regretted coming here.

Decided to try the restaurant after watching a movie last night at the Rotterdam mall. We observed 3 mice running around the bar and the kitchen. Needless to say we cancelled our order and left. If we saw 3, the place is infested. Staff seemed very pleasant.
