Ming Moon

I haven't been to a Chinese place that I prefer over this one. (NYC or Miami included, though I'm sure I missed some places) They're incredibly consistent with their execution. Their sauces aren't overly sweet (which I find an issue in many Chinese restaurants,) but they are flavorful. In restaurant, I don't believe I've had better examples of their General Tsao, or Egg Foo Young. Covid-19 specific: During Covid they have set up a sort of closed off way to pick up food from a plexiglass box and there is no inside dining due to their response to the virus, I don't think I've seen a business in the area take it more seriously. The food is definitely not as great as it is fresh in the restaurant due to travel time and condensation in the packaging, but it is still good.

Delicious and great value! Ordered General Tso's Chicken, Roast Pork Lo Mein, and Beef and Broccoli. The General Tso's chicken was tender and flavorful, and the fried rice was not mushy at all and well-seasoned. The Roast Pork Lo Mein had a delicious smoky flavor and was also well-seasoned (this was my favorite dish). The Beef and Broccoli was tasty with the vegetables being cooked perfectly. Portions were very generous and service was fast. Highly recommend to locals and travelers alike.

Ming Moon was a lifesaver! After striking out twice trying to find food after 9 PM, we found this gem. The staff was super friendly, service was quick, and the food hit the spot. Plenty of options for everyone, including vegetarians. Great for takeout or a casual dine-in at one of their tables!

Was traveling during my deliveries and had to eat something. I was thinking that I am in the middle of no place and was scared that the food wasn't going to be good or fresh. BOY WAS I SUPRISED. FOOD WAS GOOD AND FRESH AND LARGE AMOUT OF MEAT. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

Good fast friendly service. Chinese food! They have several locations and a large menu. Daily specials and great portions. Good choice after a Trail walk around the Ashokan. Right there near the trail head parking lot.

Delicious food. Very friendly staff and good prices. We had a horrible experience at the dollar general next door, and coming in here for a good meal made everything much better. It's hard to find very good Chinese food these days, yet the food here makes you have hope.

Really great food! The restaurant is very clean and the staff is so friendly! The only place I order Chinese food from, and I am never disappointed. Their scallion pancakes are the best I’ve ever had!

Good - quick - convenient Chinese food in Shokan NY - on the mark for a take out place in the middle of Rt 28. Lots of local and transient traffic. Pretty standard menu - food is average, but good and not expensive.

I ordered moo shu vegetable here and got a large portion of bland, overcooked everything: cabbage, onions, and a few mushrooms and slivers of carrots and broccoli pieces. The rice wrappers were also dried out. I won’t be ordering here again.

The worst Chinese food I can remember! What happened here? Change of owners? Change of chef? Everything, with the exception of the dumplings, was tasteless and bland. Sesame chicken was overly greasy popcorn chicken (deep fried sesame chicken???) in a boring sauce. Such a disappointment from what they had been. We ordered a lot of dishes and found the same complaint across the board. Threw most of it out. $60 wasted. Will not return.

We order and PAID for the food, ordered it as sit in, and as we were done we asked for a to go container, they give us one and then proceeded to ask for payment. We explained we already paid, the CHILD they had behind the counter took our order and money. The child claimed we didn’t pay, when we already did. Seeing they don’t give any kind of receipt for cash payments, only credit card. We didn’t have a receipt to show them. We argued for 5ish minutes about this. Then they finally said fine. But the child proceeded to tell them that we did not pay! We were being accused of stealing. This was very upsetting, and we no longer plan to spend money here seeing the children are always there When we go in.
