This location serves all of your beloved grilled chicken, sides, wraps, bowls, and burritos. The only drawback is that it's difficult to turn into, as it's located midblock. It has a drive-thru, and in- house seating.
What I love about this pollo loco is the customer service, they are always willing to help. Getting your order right, there’s always a big line but they manage to move it fast. There’s a big parking lot if you wish to order in or pick up .
The service was great. The young lady who took our order was super friendly, and the food was on point!
This place. Is always full in drive true and inside Few days they have grumpy cashiers. And few days they have happy cashiers Besides. That everyone there. Give u a smile

Went through drive thru, so I don't want to really rate atmosphere inside...but the food was so freaking fresh, I almost went back the next day! Can't be greedy..lol
LOVE the location. It's less than a mile away from my home. All the employees are great people. They are so nice and attentive. Very easy going. Great attitudes. The product is AMAZING like always. Great food and supper healthy. My ONLY complaint is that yesterday Monday the 22nd during my lunch break at around 11:20/11:30 am I purchased a Large Tortilla Soup. Usually I get a nice full bowl. This time I noticed the I received more than 60% soup juice and very little vegetables and chicken. To be honest with you...That really SHOCKED ME. 😲 Like I said...I usually get a lot of food. NOT yesterday 😔
I like the service they offer. When you ask for salsas they give the salsas with no problem. I usually don't come back to a restaurant if the service is bad. This Pollo Loco is my favorite. Thank you!
I was at El Pollo loco for lunch on Sept 16 and had one of the best experiences by far. The gentleman taking my other through the Drive-thru was amazing. Spoke clearly and very polite, I believe his name was Keenan (my apologies if I misspelled his name) and the manager Tianna (again sorry if I misspelled that name as well) was as professional and helpful! I’ve had horrible experiences at El Pollo Loco but this by far was a great experience! Thank you!
The supervisor Tamara was super friendly & let us know they were short staff. The service was excellent, welcoming & our order was fast.We ordered the family 8pcs dark meat meal that was fresh & delicious. We could observe & listen that the few employees present worked quickly with a positive attitude as a team.

I like the food but it's a little uneven, they out of things sometimes like cheese or diet Coke, but the food is prepared pretty well. I also need to drink no caffeine and no sugar, so Macdonalds, InandOut or Del Taco all have Lemonade Light, so they stay #1
UPDATE: Went back to El Pollo Loco to fix my order and get the correct burrito and they were very accommodating. Quickly replaced my burrito and iced tea. Orig. post: For the second time in a row, they put real chicken in my chickenless burrito, even though they repeated back to me twice that I had ordered a chickenless burrito. What is the point of having chickenless pollo if they can’t figure out how to put it in the burrito? They also gave me the wrong iced tea (again despite repeating back to the correct thing I ordered).
Pollo loco is a hit or miss. I usually get the double chicken tostada but, at some locations they give you nice and moist chicken and some times the overdried chicken. There are locations I don’t visit anymore because of that.
Some El Pollo Locos taste better than others, and this one certainly was tasty. 10 pieces with two sides for $20 is not a bad deal. However, when the whole deal tastes better than you expect, that's when you know you got a great deal.
This is much closer to my work place and I order online a lot. There are rewards as $2 discount or $5 cash on account to order cheap food. Recently one of the orders was incomplete without avocado and another customer checked his bag before taking it out. But the food is tasty than other locations.
Food is GREAT! But at this particular location bathrooms were very dirty bumped into a homeless bird bathing in the woman's restroom floors were very dirty
Great chicken soup if you need right away when you're not feeling well. Chicken is always delicious 😋
The chicken thighs are my favorite but now they cut them to smaller sizes 🤨however the flavor is still bomb.
The food was delicious, its a lot of young adults that work there, but they did forget my cinnamon sticks and I paid for them.
Pollo loco.. it's always good. The chicken is delicious.. can't argue about that.. the thing that gets me Is when they serve you old chicken that's been sitting there for awhile. You tell when it's old the skin wrinkles and dryness of the outer layer of the meat.. for this reason alone I give pollo loco 3 stars.. We love fresh grilled chicken, pollo loco tends to mix old pieces with fresh ones. Especially when you buy 8 pcs and above.. I no longer order thru drive thru.. I walk inside order, check the quality of the food if im not satisfied I will not accept it.. until I get that chicken you see posted on ads or in tv commercials. Fresh n juicy!
They rarely give you your salad dressings or condiments but the food is good for the price.
If you want semi-healthy food they have good options. Friendly staff.2023 I stopped eating here because they place their hot food in plastic containers, which leach all those chemicals, after I saw that I don't come here anymore
Food is good, the salsas at the bar not all the time. Sometimes they taste old and sour. Customer service is inconsistent. Sometimes they treat you with a smile and sometimes they don't care who's ordering as long as they keep the line moving.
I used the drive thru. There were no long delays. The male employee at the window was ok. I bought the chicken avocado burrito; it was good.
food was great like always but we didnotice none of the employees were wearing gloves to handle the food and when my husband asked the shift lead she just shrugged it of "yes sir we do have gloves and we should be using them, we're just not!!" not a good response.
The food was good but it seems to me that the workers don't know how to be friendly. People who don't have people skills should not be working in a place were they will deal with others. Nowadays the younger generation don't have that skill sometimes being friendly makes people like me want to go back and buy... but the food was good.
God bless this place. I tried it one late night after work. The food wasn't great. I don't know what it was. And for what's pictured it was almost 50 dollars. A tostada bowl. A 4 piece and a burrito. The guacamole was brownish as you can tell by my picture. I just don't know what to say. Again, I normally don't like leaving bad reviews but I do it in the hopes that things improve. I won't be coming back to this location anytime soon but I know I will give Pollo Loco a try later on somewhere else. Hopefully the experience is different.
The service was ok, it could of been better. But I guess with the short hand and all in staff it's kind of understandable. Cashier really did not offer the tortillas with our meal, granted not our first time here but still you tend to forget, well she the cashier just put in our order "No Tortillas". Not a good deal when obviously your getting the combo, she should of reminded us the cst. To top it off, our meal took 10min to prepare🧐, really?? To bouble chicken bowls took 10min??. I found a metal object in my meal, of which I just did not say anything but did show my husband. The metal object seem to be from the scrubs they use to clean the pots and pans...huh just a 3 star..
Usually the chicken is good but I usually eat around lunch time also for my son. But they were open late never again they scrapped the bottom of the pot to give me burnt rice and chicken was super burnt,guacamole was plan. I think because it was late but I should be no excuse. The meal was unacceptable.
This pollo loco store is unorganized. I ordered online to pick up at 3 and they did not start my order till I arrived. Not only that my order included a side of guacamole and they did not include that. They also did not bag my food they just handed it to me. This is not the first time they forget an item in my order too.
No salsa no lemon, etc ..with my order. I had to pay for additional salsa. Then after I was given the condiments correctly.
This restaurant sure does need some TLC when it comes to cleanliness. However, most of the employees I now see there, are young and they show no ambition to keep there work place as clean, neat as possible. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for. Oh and to the management who comments back, please don't give me the excuse you have given everyone else. Thank you.
Dinning area super dirty, the condiment area where they have the salsa, it was just empty containers, the area was not clean, it was not busy and still took a long time to receive my other on top of that the order was wrong. The pieces of chicken where small and meatless it looked like it was a quail instead of chicken...trully dissapointing, Everything about the whole experience was just dissapointing... 27 dollars for a meal that i should of just tossed to the trash instead of wasting it at this dump!
Me and my gamily always come to this pollo loco location but recently it hasn’t been the best u see the manager being playful with the employees and not paying attention to the store needs. Also the register cash box is always being placed next to the rice and other side combinations thats twice now that i see the employees place it there totally unsanitary money shouldn’t be placed where food is being prepared.
This place is ok. So, so customer service. I order a meal and when I left they forgot to give me my drink. When I got home they had forget the utensils to eat. The chicken did not have no taste compared to other locations. Management should look into this because other Pollo locations have a good taste.
I moved to Downey 5 months ago and today is my 3rd time going to this particular pollo loco because is close to home. They always always f up my order and not only that they rush you to leave the drive thru like they don’t want you to check the order. Today I order 2 piece mash and beans flour tortillas. I got 2 piece rice and beans. The guy at the window mad because I told him order was wrong so gave me some mash and was full of gravy and very little mash potatoes. Also I asked for green salsa only gave me one smh. Where’s the good customer service and the proper food handling. Do they forget we the customer paying for our food and that is not free.
I never have any issues with this location but just a few minutes ago, I went and got myself a original pollo bowl plain, never did I say no beans. When I got home my bowl was plain but it also did not have beans. I was so hungry that I did not go back but I am upset that they messed up on my order because how does one forget the BEANS!!
I ordered a pollo bowl. They didn't listen to my order right I repeated myself like 3 times. They still messed up my order. I couldn't eat my food for dinner at work and had to throw it away. They need to listen better and not keep talking to each other
What can I say. Pollo Loco was once a healthier fresher alternative to fast food. Now the food maybe is a step up from Taco Bell. Dinning room is sad and dirty. Not what it use to be.
This place by far as you enter. You see dirty tables, dirty floors, employees don't even welcome you or smile at you. Place has such a terrible atmosphere. On top of that the driv thru was slow that I advanced and ordered in lobby. No ice whatsoever, food prep area looks horrendous. Don't recommend you eat here if you plan to waste a lot of time. Updated Review: July 12, 2021 With COVID-19 and what not. 4 years later this place still doesn't uphold the value of what El Pollo Loco does. I worked at a very busy one and we knew service and what it meant. I can't believe I ordered via their app while at work. And I decided to let the first order from them slide. Last week July 8, 2021 I ordered a Chipotle avocado Burrito combo. No ice included in my drink and no Chipotle or avocado. I still ate it because I was hungry. I let this slide... July 9th 2021, I ordered a Tostada salad and double chicken bowl with extra avocado and cheese and extra creamy cilantro dressing. No cabbage, Order perfectly made. But today July 12, 2021 I got the same order Tostada and DBL chicken. Bowl extra cheese and avocado. No cabbage in the bowl. They gave me tostada which was perfect. But no creamy cilantro dressing. All tomato salsa and pico de Gallo salsa. The bowl... Which is the combo that i paid extra for. Has cabbage and has No extra avocado or cheese! How can anyone work food and not read a receipt! Unacceptable,
This pollo loco has lost my business, I always get the nachos but for some reason This specific location uses the left over meat? For the nachos and Old chips which are very Dark and salty.. also the cheese is not smooth and creamy.. its a bit chunky. Idk how many times this has been my experience here but I'm making the extra drive to another from now on.
Not a good attitude from the girl on drive thru they have to service everyone like they serve themselves they give no plates no napkins no forks no guacamole sauce manager have to supervise what they're doing
Waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru....and the restaurant was practically empty inside. Don't understand how come it took so long! If I could have I would have reversed out of the drive thru!!

This place was filthy!! The service was horrible. There were nothing but guys working and looking like they had no clue of what was going on. They definitely need a female to help them get it together!!!

Bad experiencence!.. took a friend out of town to this restaurant people were rude INATTENTIVE! young people at counter and the kitchen cursing using every foul language.Not Caring tables were dirty unattended, the Salsa bar was filthy floors not Swept papers containers all OVER" the place..employees about how they just wanted to "GO HOME" it made me so embarrassed and ashamed to have this Eye Sore of workers and establishment in my City of SOUTH GATE CALIFORNIA please fix this City Council will hear this ..Thanks
Worst Pollo Loco branch ever especially when ordering by drive thru. Just today, they forgot to put tortillas on my order. A month ago, they only gave me 8 pieces of chicken instead of 16 piece Since it’s drive thru and cars are behind me, I cannot always check if they gave me everything. Very frustrating.
I did not like the cashiers service she tried to overcharge me. I caught it, looked at the board, and I told her that's 9.99, not 12.00, right? Then she canceled the order. Becareful when you go and be alert.
To be honest this was my first time trying pollo Loco because my friend she recommended so many times.well I went I order 2 chicken salads no cheese *guess What (they served it with cheese)🤣 and then my 2 tacos with a frozen tortilla like they took it out of the fridge and served it man hahahaha I thought this was a joke If pollo Loco is good atheist not this restaurant 🫠
I came here because is nearby.. But if you want fast servirse go to another location...and store is always closed.and you need to go to drive-through. 15 to 20 minutes wait Normal Monday to Friday wait. Order online doesn't do faster
The food is good great delicious but the service is so HORRIBLE one employee was being very harsh and mean to another employee who had only asked for simple help, she took 13 minutes to take our order after she was yelling at him, I will never go back to this location. Her name was Cynthia by the way very unprofessional.
Twice already my debit card has been reported for fraud buying from here. No other other place was my card used in the week previous. Coincidence? Won't be going there again. Also drive thru girl had an attitude
Me and my mom went through the drive thru to this pollo loco They never have Lemons , salsa my mom also ordered corn tortillas but they gave her the flour ones , My Double Chicken Tostada Salad was cold ... she also ordered one large order of beans they forgot to put it in the bag , and they also forgot my Creamy Cilantro Dressing 😐 , and when My Mom orders a drink they don't fill it up to the top , they leave it half full , but they did gave her the mashed potatoes, Rice and the family dinner chicken
Customer service suck ass in the drive thru over 20 mins. Employees need to check them selfs. Im calling who ever in charge in the morning.. Fire all of them!! 7pm shift. Including manager!!
We were told to wait to order, not a problem but then the cashier told us there isn't no chicken til about 45min. Really??? No chicken and you have a long line in the drive thru but yet nobody's outside letting all these waiting cars know. Glad I walked in to find out and not in no line for over 30min.
This place is a joke! Super dirty, tables are never cleaned, and management sucks! All in effort to save money from highering more employees😡 I spoke to one of the employees and they mentioned that many people quit, look for other jobs, and are under stress due to understaffing. If I were them I'd definitely quit. Needless to say, never returning to this location. One positive note: the chicken was juicy.
One star is all you get when I order a classic Pollo bowl and the person at the register tells me I can't have any extra salsas with my meal. He told me they ran out, so i went home with my food, minutes later I sent my son back to buy another bowl and asked for extra salsa and can you believe it, he received as many as he asked for. He got 6, I got none. How Fair was that ? And why was I refused when I politely asked ! So I have no desire to do business with this location.
I waited a while thru the drive thru and was ok with waiting . I got up to the window and there was a not to friendly cashier. I asked for churros i was told they dont have anymore . I asked for chips and guac was told no more. I asked for plates and i had the window rudely slammed on my face.She wasnt pleasant at all!I I work down the street and remember how ive encountered this exact behavior before. Went there on Sunday to order a chicken tostada salad. When I got there an employee said she would be with me soon. I waited and I saw an employer walk in with the worst spirit, he clearly doesn't like his job. He sees me standing there and doesn't even acknowledge me, I waited for a total of ten minutes. I got my order and when I saw it I noticed they didn't add Monterey jack or sour cream. Very very disappointed
I dont know whats going on here lately. I really enjoy El Pollo Loco food and this used to be my go spot during work for fresh and healthy food. Staff here really do not function well during lunch rush. Got there earlier this time a lil after 11am. Tables and floors were all dirty. Dine in area probably never cleaned from night before and i counted 16 flies on just one single window, barf! Employees were refilling house salsa by hand scooping with plastic salsa container instead of spoon. I'm not worried about getting COVID here but i am worried about the cleanliness, sanitation, and insect infestation that may be contaminating my food. Drive thru orders beware!
Worst experience ever! Was asked by the cashier "what do you want? Are you going to order food or are you here to bug me?" The whole restaurant is dirty and they don't have Serrano chili's. We ordered 2 chipotle chicken avocado burritos, one no cabbage. We parked in front of this location to eat. Half way through the burrito we noticed that both burritos did not have chipotle, avocado, nor sour cream. We decided to go through the drive thru again since we were still at the location and explained everything. Same lady who helped us the first time was very cool about it and asked us to roll up to the window and she checked both burritos. She was super nice and gave us 2 new burritos. This lady put hella chipotle sauce it wasn’t eatable and still no sour cream and avocado. We couldn’t finish our burritos because it was too spicy than usual. That was very petty!
The lady that took our order was told TWICE at the speaker that we wanted a TOSTADA salad and again at the window when we went to pay. Yet, I STILL recieved the wrong order. Told 3 times and even confirmed what we said and she STILL gave us the wrong thing.
We take out often once a week. Not again. Ordered a Double Chicken Tostada Salad. Almost no chicken and no avocado. I called and asked to speak to the manager. Someone said just a moment and put the phone down where someone was chopping. After 15 minutes, I hung up and will not spend my money there again to be cheated and treated poorly.
I'm always ordering here because of convenience I work very close I had some issues at times flour tortillas instead of corn little things....but today it was horrible service, I ordered a pollo bowl and there's wasn't tortillas or salsa on my order! I order guacamole and chips and they didn't put any of it! 3 tacos combo with no cilantro or salsas at all, I told them it didn't look like my order twice and they did say everything was there now that I'm in my lunch I found out nothing is complete...🙁🙁🙁 really bad customer service.
I went through the drive- thru and after taking our order we pull to the window only to find out it is cash only after 9pm. When did this happen? So they had literally just closed the lobby and told us we could use our card this one time in the lobby. So inside they then proceed to tell us a few items on the menu were not available cause the kitchen was closing and dishes were done and they were messing them up anymore. Then when we get home we find they didn't put certain items in the bag that we paid for. To top it off when I called after finding this out NO-One answered the phone!! I don't know about anyone else out there but if I'm paying someone $15./hr. They had better start getting my order correct!! It's not brain surgery.🤬
This has got to be the nastiest, dirtiest restaurant with the laziest staff & weak management. The trash was overflowing, there was a HUGE puddle of liquid right in front of the salsa bar. They had a “caution” cone/sign but how else do you get to the salsa bar?? I almost slipped, as careful as i was. A man told one of the workers, saying, “there’s a lot of water on the floor here. Someone can fall.” & the worker responded, “yes, somebody’s going to clean it now.” But i was there for about 20 minutes & no one ever cleaned it. There was a lot of leftover food/trash under seats everywhere... just disgusting... it’s beyond me why management would allow these conditions to be. I’ve been here at this location before & it’s always dirty but today it was at its worse.
Service is really bad! I’ve tried to give them a couple of chances but I’ve had it with this place .. I live 2 minutes away and now I drive 20 minutes just to go to another pollo Loco . People working there don’t want to be there, they should look for another job! We get it it’s not your dream job but you get paid to give good service! Very disappointed and sad to see how these young people think they can get away with anything. Besides the bad service the orders are always wrong! And get bothered when you let them know it’s wrong. Management needs to do something about it or get someone that will have their employees on point.
9/12/2021 8PM worst experience ever from this place. Ordered Double Protein Avocado Pollo Fit Bowl and Double Loaded Nachos. Fit Bowl came out with No Cilantro Dressing, No Avocados, No Folks, No Napkins, No House Salsa, only 1 Avocado Salsa from the direct request. I wasn't told in advance during the order that the place was out of house salsa, cilantro dressing, and avocado. What the hell? Worse, entire Drive Thru took me 45 min total. There were about 6 cars in front when I got there. Each car took awfully long time. Lately the experience with this place was getting awful. I frequented this place for 4 years, but today's experience marked the worst, so was urged to leave this 1-star review.
I went to this location on a slow Saturday afternoon. Before I ordered I decided to use the restroom. One restroom was covered in urine the other was covered in feces. I couldn't even wash my hands. As I was leaving I looked around the dining room to see a man and two kids eating. No one else. The dining room was filthy with food all over the tables and floor. I didn't buy anything I just left. As I walked out I could smell the dumpster that was directly behind the restaurant. Usually restaurants have their dumpsters several feet away to avoid rats and roaches.
They mess up all my order I order a family meal 10 pieces mix for $24 which I pay more to get a extra side order with total be $32. My sides I ask for rice, black beans and mash potatoes. You know what they only gave me 8 piece meal and only a small mash potatoe and no rice no bean. They gave me instead a Mc and cheese which I didn't ask for. They ask to see my receive 10 times and they were all giggles and I ask for my order 5 times and nothing. There's pure young people working there at night and no one did nothing. Really bad service don't recommend. Please check our orders every time before you leave a drive throw window don't mind any one behind you 😉 make sure you got what you order.

Well that sucked! Went to this Pollo Loco today and there was a huge line for the drive thru (understandable). So I decide to place my order online and pick up inside at the counter like it said I could online. Once the order is ready (about 6mins) I tried to go inside the restaurant to pick it up….. both doors are locked, employees inside go out of their way to NOT make eye contact. There’s a paper on the door that days “Drive Thru only”. So that means I had to go back into the huge drive thru line that I had gotten out of a few mins before because I can only pick up my online order throught there??! It makes absolutely no sense! 45 minutes later it’s finally my turn to pick up my cold food, soggy nachos and room temp drink. Pollo Loco, do better! If these employees need at least one more person to hand out online orders inside the restaurant… give them that person! In the time I was waiting in that drive thru line, at least 15 people walked up to find a locked door and just walked away. Definitely will not be going back here anytime soon, this just left me in a pretty bad mood to be honest.
If I could, it would be negative 5 stars, I gave this location 4 chances or more, every time they screw up, "over cooked chicken,wrong order, old hard tortillas, short change and more". I have no problems when I visit other Pollo loco locations, just this location and its the nearest to my home. Bummer..
Sorry both pollo locos I went too today the chicken would not be ready until 45 minutes. Other customers were very unhappy. Dinning area were dirty. Trash was over flowing. We were disappointed as we were craving it. Hopefully these 2 stores can better themselves. As food is good.
I always get the chicken tostada salad. Is usually good but the service at this branch not so good. Very rude employees sometimes. One day, they skip my order I don't know why, when I asked for my order instead of apologize the cashier act so rude. EDIT 7/13/2025 THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING, I HAVE BEEN GOING FROM TIME TO TIME BUT IS GETTING WORDE EVERY TIME. TODAY IT WAS EMPTY BUT STILL ALL THE FLOOR WAS DIRTY. Warning! As of Dec 2021. Don't order pick up from this pollo loco. They don't want to open the store. So if you are in a rush and need to pick up an order quick you will need to sit in the drive thru. I tried calling to cancel the order. They won't even answer the phone.
I’ve ordered from this specific El Pollo Loco twice now. The first time they left out food I paid for, like my chips and queso. I said okay, stuff happens and you move on. Today I ordered from there specifically how I wanted my bowl to come and then it wasn’t prepared that way, nor did I get the chips with it. I also ordered a regular chips and queso and received a small. My large Vitamin water was just colored water, with no taste other than slimy. Then to top it off I was charged $2 for two sides of sour cream which was less than 1/4 a way full of each container. Not only could I not eat my food, due to it not being made as asked, I basically spent $12 on nothing. I understand things happen and nothing is ever perfect but to consistently basically throw away money, it’s not right. I’ve not only thrown away money once now, but twice and will not be returning. I will go out of my way to go to the Downey location before I go back to this location.

Because i spoke English this young lady at the cash register just made an ugly face to me and after that she started talking Spanish and said rude stuff about me … she destroyed my dinner for no reason.. i hope they can fix it and dont have her in the front register if she dont speak English.. Hope i dont ever go through this again… Alexandra you have very BAD service
9/16 at about 8pm I purchased 2 pollo bowls, went to the drive thru when I got home my husband said there were only a few pieces of chicken in his bowl he was upset and said this was a rip off very disappointed in this place.
The individual at the drive-through window exhibited poor customer service and attempted to charge me an excessive amount for a side of lettuce, specifically $5.75.
You need to place kiosks at the drive through too, just to make everything fair They refuse to take your orders inside because they now have self service. The same money and credit cards given at the drive through is the same money and credit cards people pay inside with too. People leave angry when they refuse to take their orders inside. Some of the employees are rude and unprofessional too. There are other chicken places we can go to you know.
I really hate leaving reviews like this, but after enduring it for a while, I'm leaving one. I specifically requested that the chicken not be dry when I ordered, as more than half of my previous orders have been overly dry. However, upon opening the container at home, this time there was even more, easily over 80%, extremely dry chicken than in my past orders. The chicken legs were so dry that they shriveled to the size of my finger... It seems like a blatant disregard for customers. Perhaps the management didn't bother with proper training. The only reason I've used this branch so far is because it's about a 3-minute distance from my house. However, even if it's close to where I am, I won't be using this branch again.
Worst pollo loco service ever! Was served by Alma D she was rude and even slammed the window door on drive through on me while I confirmed my order. The receipt said something completely different that what I order so I asked she responded with a horrible attitude. I told her hey your customer service is horrible no need to talk to people like that. She smiled and said yea okay and slams the window door again! To top it of the rice was hard like it’s been sitting outside can’t even eat it.
This place has horrible service. I was there on Dec. 18 2021 at noon. I ordered two tostada chicken salads. The avocado on the tostadas was really bad, i will attach pictures to show how disgusting the avocado on my tostadas looked, i had to remove it. Not only was the food quality bad , but also the window attendant at the pick up. I asked her for pico de gallo, cilantro and onions when paying. When she brought the food , the onions, cilantro and pico de gallo where not included. When i was about to ask her for them again, she cut me off by closing the window on my face. Not the only time i get bad service here. Other times i been served cold chicken, undercooked rice and not to mention a dirty dining room, the times i have dined in. I did an online survey on store and left number for corporate to call me and it seems they do follow up or care about complains.
First of all I am a very loyal costumer of el pollo loco at imperial hwy brea, I ordered one tostada chicken salad and one chicken avacado borritto. When I pulled up to the window I t was a asian girl with glasses handing me my food. I looked at the bag it was only one salad then I looked at my receipt it charged me for a cup of water $2.49. I had to wait and order the chicken burrito again which I payed one more time for it. I Also have never payed for a cup of water in my whole life. The girl was super rude. She rolled her eyes at me and my brother with no apology or anything. I don’t recommend this place at all. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME HERE!!!!!!
‼️ drive-thru only.‼️ My sister Place an order on the app for curbside pickup. That service is not available for that location even though they have the signs for it. I warned her not to come here to get food or anything this is the worst running el pollo loco in this local ever. Pickup time 3:55 p.m. no one came. No signs. no warnings. She had to wait at the door knocking at the window really hard to get someone attention. She was trying to cancel the order now but you have to call them. And no surprise they don't pick up. 4:04 three different employees were coming into work she had to talk to them. At 4:08 p.m. a management came out with the order. Did not apologize or anything to my sister and I told her next time read my reviews and my warnings. 🤬⚠️Do not order in the app⚠️🤬. You be held hostage because they will not pick up the phone to cancel your order. The app will not let you cancel the order. 🙏 drive-thru only do not use the app it does not warn you about anything of this. No indoor dining no curbside pickup just drive-thru. (Old review) Liars and disappointment. Order double chicken tostada salad open up the bag no avocado they told me they don't have no avocado. Parade thought I was blind. I see them right over there I even took a picture of it. And try to add dipping sauce avocado which is not the same. Also order a regular chicken tostada salad. And he gave me a six piece chicken nuggets salad. Seriously. You could have said we're just f---ing lazy on cutting the avocados and getting the proper amount of chicken for a salad. People please don't go there you don't get what you pay for. (Old Review) Went to the drive-thru. Order two chicken tostada salad and a double chicken tostada salad. Sour cream was missing cheese was missing my avocado is missing. it's best to go inside so you can check your order before you leaving. there is pictures (old review) Never had a problem with the food. The employees sometimes they're not in a good mood probably cuz of the lunch hour Rush. To me it looks like this only four employees or three during the rush time. Unfortunately the restrooms non-customers use it too. Parking lot min size but be aware that are smaller business in the same area. They do the best to keep it clean. It's hard to do it when there's messy people keep getting it messy and I seen them that's why I have it to go.
When your burrito is smaller than both the length and width of your hand and your hand isnt big in the first place and they say " it's only a $5 burrito so its small but I dont usually make them so idk" waaaa I buy them all the time this is the size of the kids BRC burrito 😡 and still no chips (pic of receipt). Dealm no wonder my mom hated coming to this Pollo Loco as a kid. Took a bite just like I thought all Tortilla (picture included) big ole hole that basically says we too lazy to do things right and it's cold to boot. So disappointed totally not worth the $7.93 I paid 40 minutes later: the mashed potatoes did me in, they tasted funky, salty, rancid(?) With chunks that were almost powdery. I forced myself to eat it and found myself running to the bathroom hopefully it's just an upset stomach.
Arrived at 4:02 p.m. with a 1 & 4 year old. The cashiers were unorganized and didn't know what to do. Which took 15 minutes to place our order. (4:17) Then didn't get our food till 4:39 p.m. We weren't given our mac-n-cheese, forks & spoons, or 4 plates (only got 2). Which ment we had to wait again since we weren't the only family waiting on missing things. (3 more minutes) I don't know who the manager was but your staff either needs more training or you need to hire more people. Please don't eat here. The floors were sticky, the tables were not clean, the salsa & beverage station were also a hot mess! This was my first family's night out in over 3 weeks due to my husband's work.Thanks for the nice night out. We will never come to this location ever again and probably will think twice before eating at a Pollo Loco again.
