I returned for dinner and it did not disappoint. The Ribeye steak was so tasty and tender as you can get! The service was great, like we were all special guest!
Omg the Manager Cody was sooo sweet and took good care of us. I was visiting from out of town and he made us feel like family. The queso was 10/10 and the margsssssss got us right!
Cannot say enough about this place I came on happy hour of course why not it's 5'oclock somewhere (from 2-6 Monday-Friday)I had the happy hour taquitos which were $7.00 & they are taco size (shredded chicken only) and the queso dip which is not happy hour and the fried avocados (amazing a must try of course)you will not regret these choices.Everything from service to drinks was outstanding.(fyi i had 2 strawberry margaritas,1 pomegranate margarita,1 Tamarindo margarita. My server Maddy was absolutely a joy to meet and to have as a server.🏆🏅🥇
Highly recommend ESPADÍN for anyone craving a memorable dining experience. What truly made our experience memorable was our server. He was personable, attentive, and offered spot-on recommendations that made the meal even more enjoyable. With its inviting atmosphere and creative cocktails, this restaurant is a gem that’s definitely worth checking out!
To give an idea how good their food is, we drove 2hrs. in Sat. traffic from HB, just for lunch. My wife LOVES the sizzling shrimp fajita. Which is truely the absolute best anywhere! The carmalized coating the developes on the shrimp is to die for. My favorite is the Huachinango a la Veracruzana. It's not on the menu any more, but I asked for it and it was my lucky day! Chef Journey offered to make it for me and boy did he pull out all the stops. He made the most fenomenal H.V. I've ever had. Even better than in Guadalajara. He added his own special bonus & trimmed it out with shrimp, muscles & huge scallops! It was pure heaven. Thank you so much, Journey, (if you're reading this). We usually go out there about once a year. Perhaps more more often in the future.
I have come here twice. The atmosphere is good. The place is clean and we were served quickly. The food is just OK. I wouldn’t come back for the food. However, I was very impressed by the drinks. There was an older gentleman who had just started working here. He said it was his second day but I could tell he may be new to Espadín but not to bartending because his drinks were bomb. He made us a spicy cucumber margarita that I think about often now. If they could get their food game to improve, I would be going there often. Until then…
We went to Espadín for lunch on a Friday. We got seated right away. We both got micheladas and the shrimp ceviche to share( appetizer). It was very chunky and fresh- tons of shrimp!! 🍤 We then shared the chicken quesadilla - also from the appetizer menu. The chicken was flavorful and very good. I don’t normally order quesadillas cause they are basic to me but this one was delicious ! It came with a spicy cream and jalapeños (we got them on the side cause I’m not a huge spicy person). We will be back for sure ! Update- ate here again and had the fajitas and salad with a strawberry marg. Delicious!
We were welcomed and seated right away. It did take them a minute to take our drink and food order but it was busy. The place is small but it works. They do offer patio seating. All the workers had a pleasant attitude and were helpful. All the food that we tried was good. We had the carne asada burrito, carne asada quesadilla, and the red sauce chilaquiles with carne asada. It took quite some time to get our food but again the place was busy. The prices were the same as surrounding restaurants. One complaint was the male restroom. There was no toilet paper and there was urine all over the floor. If you're in the area try them out but be willing to wait. The carne asada was the best I've had in quite some time.
We came to enjoy the mezcal flight, we ordered the elote, ceviche, and I tried 3 different tacos. We were just traveling Mexico last month and I wanted to try out their mezcal selection. The flight was good, you get 4x 1/2oz glasses served for 18 bucks. The food was good though as others have mentioned definitely on the more pricy side. I would imagine Taco Tuesday would be a great time to stop in. Staff were all super friendly and attentive.
It’s a very nice place! Loved the decor. For start they come with chips and salsa, the chips are always very fresh and delicious. This time I had 2 carne assada tacos since they didn’t had the pollo ones (my fav) but it was very good! Felt like my grandma’s, just missed a lettuce and pico de gallo with the tacos.
Met friends for dinner. Not bad. Cobb salad. Pretty plain but nothing wrong with it. Staff was great. Clean place. Good music. Desserts: don’t get tres leches. Dry. Churros were great though. They exchanged it and took the tres leches off the bill. Glass of cab was 11$. Bit much. Overall fun place. Great location. Food is ok. Would come back for atmosphere.
Nice location with outdoor patio and everything sunshine. I happen to get the taco Tuesday special. Carne asada in the taco was like a stew meat, with sauce similar to Chile Colorado, I didn't enjoy it. Chips are good, think and crispy. Salsa options are not typical, I didn't care for the Verde as it had too much lime, the red salsa was a bit sweet, a bit like a mole. Excellent service from Jordan
I'll start by stating I really like the flavor of the surf and turf fajitas. We also had a spicy and pomegranate margarita that were very well made. The only meal complaint to make was the corn tortillas were so hard on the edges it was hard to chew. We skipped the tortillas and just ate the sizzling fajita plate. The shrimp were big and awesome. The ribeye was soft and pleasant. Friday night dinner we were seated at at a table that wobbled so much I'd question putting a drink on it. The staff saw us and tried to wedge the table foot before we were re-seated. I noticed every table near us wobbled as they were cleaned and the party in front of us had uneven chairs they commented about. Straight up opinion....loved the room, loved the drinks, loved the food...not impressed with the service or seating. I'll visit again and revisit my opinion.
Good margaritas and appetizers. The guacamole is a tasty. The chips were OK. Guacamole was served quickly but there was a delay in getting chips. First batch was served was stale compared to the second basket which were fresh. A few vegan options vegan soaps and fajitas offer some plant based options. Servers were nice but they appeared to be short staffed on a busy night making for a delay in being served drinks as well as entrees.
Our experience was sadly disappointing. Temecula has few high above average quality resturants We had hoped that coming to the recently opened Archive would provide a nice experience and another option for quality dining. Unfortunately this was not the case. We were a party of four. It was a busy evening. We had booked and arrived on time to find that our table had *accidently" been given away. We waited while the staff sorted the issue. We have never before experienced this problem over our many years of dining. The menu is limited and expensive. We ordered a variety of appetizers and mains, two of which were no longer available at the time we ordered. This was 6.30 in the evening. Some options we did not consider because the mark up was clearly over the top. Of the dishes ordered one of the appetizers did not arrive and a side with the mains came late. The wine list was short and of restricted quality. They need some advice on this. Overall, the management and service were poor. Drinks and food delivery were not coordinated coming intermittently and haphazardly The food that we had was ok but not great and certainly not value for money. There appears to be a major disconnect between this resturants capacity to deliver on service and food quality and the price they charge. You end up paying a premium for poorly coordinated service at all levels, front desk, in house, bar and kitchen. This along with average food and high prices results in a very disappointing experience. This place has a lot of work to do to get things right. Currently, just another over priced average or less than average resturant. No repeat customers here.
My review is based mainly on my opinion about the food that I tried. Location itself is cool it really looks nice and service was fine . We went for a happy hour which has 3 food options , we ordered 2 of them and both were covered in some kind of mayo sauces, this is something non of us liked, overall I wish I only went there for the margarita which was good. My kids are very used to eat at Mexican restaurants and this is the very first time ever they didn't like the food . My husband had to ask for 3 different beers before to guess one that was available.
We were excited to finally eat out. The food was just OK, very little meat in the steak fajita and not seasoned well. We ordered a pitcher of Cadillac margarita, which was very small, very weak, and cost $50! We would have not minded paying that much if the food and drinks would have been decent. Unfortunately they were not. We will not be returning.
