We loved out stat at Zamas! Such a beautiful place with great service. We decided to try an air Bnb in town after a few nights at Zamas. We wish we would have just stayed the whole time!

I loved this place/area for being a little quieter than the hotel zone and for having tables close to the water. Amazing fish tacos and the cocktails were also excellent. I didn’t want to leave!

Great location, amazing beach n delicious food - such a lucky find. We came here just for the view but the food blew our mind! Yucatan dip (Sikil pak) made with pumpkin seed is a must try - I would definitely come back to this restaurant just for this dip. Sauces that come with chips were yumm. The Fish fillet was elevated to another level by the pineapple mango sauce n red sauce that it came with. The Jicama salad that accompanied the fish was so refreshing n a must try. Chocolate ganache was good too. This is a must visit for both sunset and food. Don't forget to try their calpirinha!!

Une belle situation au bord de l’eau, service rapide. On a pris une sorte de fish burger, ce n’est pas ma passion habituellement mais là avec le poisson frais, l’avocat et le très bon assaisonnement, c’était une tuerie. Très bonnes frites, jus bien frais pour accompagner. Et jolie deco. Ce n’est pas bon marche mais ça vaut la peine.

Probably our favourite place to stop for a corona and ceviche. You can’t beat this place for beach seating, friendly staff and fresh food. Worth stopping in on your way to or from the beach!

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in this restaurant during our stay in the Zamas Hotel. Everything we tried was very good! And especially don't miss the homemade fries!

A lovely bar and restaurant right on the beach. I accidentally left my jumper behind and after contacting them on WhatsApp, they had saved my jumper for me to collect the next day!

Love this restaurant. For a picture perfect lunch on the beach, this is your spot. The broccoli and cauliflower tacos were on point, and there were many vegetarian options. The mojito packed a punch also!

Our favorite spot to watch the sunset is truly magical. Nestled in a serene location, it exudes a chill and relaxing vibe that makes it the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. The drinks are exquisitely crafted, bursting with flavor, and the food is equally delightful. As the sun dips below the horizon, the scene is further enhanced by the spectacle of pelicans gracefully diving into the water, hunting for their evening meal. Sobre todo el lugar. Perfecto hacia la playa sin nada alrededor por esa zona. Buen sitio para comer mientras te puedes dar un baño, o ves a tus hijos jugar en la arena. Tienen happy hour por la tarde, nosotros nos echamos buenos mojitos, eso sí, el precio es muy caro. Como todo Tulum zona hotelera. Pedimos ceviche y albóndigas con arroz. Platos pequeños, para lo que cuestan.

Got the fish tacos they were delicious. Amazing views and great atmosphere. The servers are super friendly. Definitely recommend. I came here twice to end the trip. Paradise.

A must stop! The tacos were so good we ordered a second round! The scenery is a 10/10! Great spot to grab lunch, they have parking (a rare find in Tulum) and they have Corn Hole as well as chairs on the beach! Gorgeous views! I have a severe nut and gluten allergy and they were very accommodating with both. I highly recommend a stop here. They also have chicken tacos which not a lot of taco places in Tulum offer.

Stopped in after seeing the happy hour sign (3-6pm)… ordered margs and seafood tacos… then pulled up the Google rating (3.9 = yikes!). Writing this review because we were pleasantly surprised when the food, drinks, and service were as great as the ocean view.

The service was so nice and not overly hovering which I really appreciated. There were a few locals playing backgammon and it was just an overall chill place. Highly recommend!

We were only staying in the hotel for one night and had planned to go elsewhere for dinner as the google reviews weren't all that impressive, but I'm very very glad we opted to eat at the hotel restaurant instead. We had 3 different dishes and everyone was happy. The view (of the moonlight reflecting off the sea) was amazing and the service was very good. I'd definitely come here to eat again even if I wasn't staying in the hotel. A lovely evening!

We were guests at Zamas hotel and we were happy to eat here several times. You couldn't ask for a nicer atmosphere, overlooking the beach and the ocean. We got to know a couple of the friendly staff, who were more than happy to help me practice my very limited Spanish (shout-out to Didier, my Profesor de español). The food was good to excellent (we tried more than half the menu during our stay). The prices seemed on the high side to us, though in line with Tulum in general these days. We've been back home for a few days and I miss the place!

Staff is super friendly. Drinks were a little overpriced (like most everywhere on the beach) and there wasn’t a ton of food options but everything we ate tasted great! (Especially the fish tacos)

Daniel suggested some dishes we just ordered some nachos and A Burger and some drinks it was nice to just sit on the beach and relax with some shade and have service where a place wasn't overcrowded and enjoyed the view and the company :)

Conseillé par la compagnie Air France, très bel endroit (si ce n'est le meilleur) pour admirer le coucher de soleil, se detendre. Si vous réserver une table, votre parking sera gratuit. L'équipe est sympathique, les cocktails sont bons. La nourriture ( nous avons pris un fresh fish burger et un chiken filled burger) étaient très bons et copieux. Tulum est une ville très touristique, les prix s'en ressentent. Ce sont à peu près les mêmes prix qu'à Paris ou Bordeaux. Nous avons payé 1350 peso (75€/ 79$) 2 cocktails + un guacamole + 2 plats Plus le pourboire. Nous avons passé un bon moment.

Wir kamen hier nach einem Strandtag her. Happy hour 3-6pm. Nachos waren gut, wenngleich meiner Meinung nach noch etwas herzhafter sein könnten. Der Käse zum Beispiel. Der Service war freundlich. Die Drinks sind gut und leider super klein, was schon in anderen Reviews zu lesen ist. Die Lage ist toll, du schaust direkt auf den Ozean. Die Location selbst ist auch sauber und schön. Keine Musik, was auch gut sein kann, je nach Musikgeschmack und Befinden. Für uns war es ohne Musik ok.

Ich finde, unser Aufenthalt hier war eigentlich ziemlich schön. Wir hatten am Nachmittag kurz gestoppt um einen Happen zu essen. Die Preise waren okay, das Essen war gut und die Lokation am Strand ist toll.sä Der Service war sehr freundlich aber es hat ein bisschen lange gedauert...ansonsten alles gut!

Ubicación muy buena pero con un menú muy sencillo, podrían aprovechar el lugar y ofrecer un menú más amplio.

Een prima locatie met grote cabanas en airco. Bediening is vriendelijk ook al dien je zelf af en toe het initiatief te nemen om iets te bestellen. Maar bediening is bovengemiddeld. Je kan altijd iemand vinden en ze bedienen ook op het strand. Het lang wachten en dergelijken herkennen wij niet (misschien omdat het laag seizoen is). Eten is ok en je hebt een prive strand bij het hotel. Wel veel rotsen in het water. De bedden zijn groot en zacht. Dat laatste moet je wel tegen kunnen. Ik prefereer zachte bedden. Voor bredere stranden dien je naar Tulum Beach te gaan, maar daar wordt de sfeer wel meer beach resort (tatoeages, komen om bruin en gezien te worden en bediend te worden op het strand. Allemaal net afhankelijk waar je plezierig bij voelt. Wij houden van iets ingetogener.

We stumbled into this beautiful beach side tiki bar with a gorgeous view of the beach and rocky landscape. The grouper tacos were the best tacos I've had so far. The only reason I didn't give this 4 or 5 stars was because of the lack of transparency on included tips, and the currency rate was higher. It was a drastic difference in price compared to our the prices listed on the menu. No signs or being made aware by the servers. It felt like we were subjected to the notorious "gringo tax". Didn't appreciate that all.

Lovely place, but there was very little or no alcohol in my cocktail 🍸 and the happy hour taco was very small and expensive. But tasty.

Fuimos a Zamas la primera noche y la experiencia fue muy buena. El ambiente es agradable, tranquilo, y nos encantó poder sentarnos directamente en la playa. Solo había una o dos mesas más, así que todo se sentía exclusivo y relajado. Disfrutamos una botella de vino con mi pareja, el servicio fue amable y todo fluyó bien. Sin embargo, la segunda vez que regresamos fue completamente diferente. Prácticamente no recibimos ningún tipo de atención. Nadie se acercó a tomar nuestra orden ni a preguntarnos si necesitábamos algo. Después de esperar bastante tiempo, tuve que ir yo mismo a la barra para pedir. Lo peor fue cuando intentamos comentar la situación con el bartender. Su respuesta fue muy indiferente, básicamente diciendo que no era su problema o que no era su trabajo. Esa actitud terminó arruinando la experiencia. Es una lástima, porque el lugar tiene potencial, pero después de esa segunda visita, probablemente no volveremos pronto.

I'm guessing they ran out of chips and didn't want to tell me, so they just made me wait 45 minutes for my food and guacamole appetizer while all my friends all ate their food. Everybody's food was coming at much different times. They weren't busy at all. But it still took forever. Really bad experience here. Wait staff was very inattentive. Also overpriced.

En mi experiencia, Zamas está mucho más cerca de ser una trampa para turistas que un restaurante que respalde sus precios con calidad y servicio. Malísimo costo-beneficio. Porciones ridículas. Necesitas dos platos fuertes para quedar medianamente satisfecho por qué son como de menú para niños Los precios son elevados para el tipo de platillos que ofrecen. Puede que estén dentro del “estándar Tulum”, pero eso no justifica porciones diminutas y desproporcionadas. La llamada “pesca del día” llegó como un filete con una porción de proteína que, sin exagerar, era del tamaño de la palma de mi mano. El plato se veía semivacío. No compensaron con guarniciones y, además, las pocas que pedimos las cobraron aparte. Terminé pagando alrededor de $530 por una ración absurda, de sabor bastante promedio, con unas cuantas papas también cobradas adicionalmente. Aquí no se trata de que sea caro; es que es muy caro para lo mediocre que es. No representa en absoluto el estándar de la comida en México, donde incluso en lugares sencillos encuentras generosidad en las porciones, sabor bien ejecutado y hospitalidad auténtica. Cobrar $60 por unas tortillas —algo que en prácticamente todo el país está incluido— es simplemente absurdo. Cada ajuste, cada cambio y cada complemento implica un cargo extra. Lo más frustrante fue el servicio. Aunque el personal aparenta estar atento preguntando constantemente si necesitas algo, en la práctica no ejecutan lo que solicitas. Repetimos varias veces las especificaciones de la orden y aun así llegaron mal o incompletas. Pedimos cambios de guarnición y, en lugar de sustituirlas, simplemente no las pusieron… pero sí las cobraron aparte. Detalles simples —como bajar una cortina para evitar el aire— no los resolvieron después de pedirlo dos veces. Al final lo hicimos nosotros, pese a que inicialmente nos dijeron que no se podía. También tuvimos que mover y acomodar las mesas por nuestra cuenta. Las bebidas fueron lo más decente del lugar, aunque nada extraordinario. En general, el sabor de la comida es “equis”: no es terrible, pero definitivamente no justifica el precio. Por el mismo presupuesto puedes encontrar opciones mucho más cuidadas en presentación, porción, sabor y servicio. Si tu estándar de servicio es básico y solo buscas una experiencia superficial de “Tulum vibe”, puede que funcione. Pero si esperas coherencia real entre precio, calidad y atención, este lugar queda muy por debajo.

Fui a almorzar, sumaron mal y me cobraban propina. La atención buena pero la explicación de los tragos y los precios confusa a beneficio de ellos, a fin de cobrarte más. Me negué a pagar propina ya que no es obligatoria y te lo ponen en la cuenta. Prestar atención a todo. Una lástima porque se come rico.
