I hadn’t been to this location in a while and have recently been back a few times since February of 2025. On each occasion, the staff has been so friendly and have gone above and beyond. The food is on point and my order is always perfect! I have even stayed and eaten my lunch and the atmosphere is relaxing and clean. I highly suggest this spot for a quick, delicious and healthy lunch.

I like this location. I've been to other locations and they are not good as this one. The staff is very friendly. I also like this place because it's always clean. Smells clean too. There is a review that smell like fecal matter it's NOT true. It is clean. I've been to others and those are dirty and sticky from waba teriyaki sauce . Anyway, food is great. Restrooms are clean as well. Though ask for the code for the restroom. It doesn't offer multiple stalls. I recommend.

Good portions and good food. The only problem is the bowls aren't big enough to hold all the food. I always have to empty the bowls out onto a bigger plate or into a bigger bowl just so I can eat my food and mix it together

Usually clean, the employees are millennials, need I say more. Sorry kiddos I know there are great millennials but the bad rap came from too many skill-less, no eye contact, no affect, no social skill drips being part of your generation and it's my generations fault for not slapping ettiquitte into you. Food is done well here generous portions but the stinginess with the tereyaki sauce has got to stop, I spent 25 bucks on a two people and your going to be cheap with tereyaki. Get some employees with people skills and a tereyaki pump and I'll give five stars...

Be careful to check your orders when picking from Online placement. The female server handed out someone else order (tied up in a bag) on 12/19/2020 @ around 6:00 pm then lied when we called back. Saying that the wrong order was grabbed. It was not grabbed. It was handed out by her tied up in a bag. Why lie instead of admitting to a simple mistake?

Restroom was overwhelming with bleach perhaps to cover up the urine smell. I am not recommending the store to anyone until Improvement has been made.

We ordered 3 bowls from here but it wasn’t good at all. The chicken smelled and the meat didn’t taste like ribeye as they claim. Will not be coming back here again. First and last time.

30.00 for 1 chicken bowel and1steak plate. No receipt. I think I paid 5.00 for the avocado. Carrots were hard and the steak was over cooked and dry. Not worth a return visit.

This location practices false advertising and adds hidden charges contradictory to the menu. Per the employee that was working, it is the owner's own policy.

Unfortunately the Upland Waba restaurant in my view needs supervision and help. We have been going to Waba grills since their opening. Our order was wrong ,not following request such as wrong rice, not putting sauces on the side, no salad dressing, no soy sauce etc. Also staff need patience, seem overwhelmed? We won't return to Upland. Waba, Will go to Ontario Waba. Is there an attitude higher up in this location since we have had better service in other Waba locations for years!

Very disappointed. I came here about 3 weeks ago, no complaints. However, tonight was horrible. I got the chicken rice veggie bowl. When I opened it I could actually see the bottom if the bowl. Very little rice. The veggies were cold and not all the way cooked. I ordered the taco trio for my husband ( meaning 1 of each taco). The cashier took it upon himself to make them all 3 chicken. Asked for green onions and sauce on the side ( which I didn't get). His food was cold as well.For the prices we are paying now day you would expect ppl to actually prepare you food the way they would like their food. For the cashier. Maybe next time make eye contact with you customers. If I did something wrong on ordering my food ASK QUESTIONS.

Cold Waba, yum yum yum. Staff is at best inept. Ordered food for pickup tonight for pickup. I arrived at the store, called for curbside pickup, and was informed that my order was delivery, not pickup, and the food was not in the store. Drove to my house to find no food. Called the store and another employee told me food was sitting on the counter waiting for pickup. Drove back to the store, asked why I was told the food was out for delivery when I called earlier earlier. Different staff told me I was mistaken, that I was told the food was inside, and I should have come inside after I was told it was not there. SERIOUSLY!! Inept at best, more likely liars. One star for cold greasy slimey Waba for dinner tonight.

Very poor customer service. The employees seem miserable. And a previous visit, I watched two customers orders get skipped by orders that were taken after theirs. I feel these employees should be retrained. The Waba on Grove and Philadelphia Ave is the best location, by far

The old man who works in the back is the worst cook. Everytime I order and he is there my food lacking. The steak is over cooked, dry and chewy. My dumplings are not cooked all the way. It is like they didnt even boil them correctly. The edges are hard as a rock and the inside is still cold. I can see why less and less people are coming to this location. They have lost all forms of quality. On top of that. I ordered 2 sides of dumpling but he only wanted to give me one sauce for them. I had to assure him each side comes with a sauce. Overall I can sense greedy and lack of quality. I wont be coming back to this location until there is change with the cook.

Terrible customer service! My bowl fell on the floor and the girl was ok with giving it to me. Gave me an attitude because I asked if she could remake it. Was speaking in Spanish to the cook and i understood everything t she was saying. I will NEVER return to this WABA grill. Looked very dirty ad well.
