Recensioni di La Maruquesa Valladolid
Spectacular decor, high-quality products, and impeccable service from the staff, who were always attentive. Excellent value for money. Nice touches included taking our coats to hang up in a cloakroom and offering us a complimentary plate of beef chorizo. The beef ramen was exquisite, the beef stew croquettes were incredibly creamy and delicious, the arroz del senyoret (a type of paella) was divine, and the cheesecake—I've included a photo! Sweets were served with the coffee.
You walk in and are greeted by a rack of aging ox ribeye. Gorka (a friend of my partner) appears and saves us one of the best tables in the room. We were served from the start by two lovely girls, but the best was Lorena, a real sweetheart. We started the meal with steak tartare, a half portion... You absolutely have to try it, oh my god... So addictive. We continued with a carpaccio stuffed with foie gras. After this and the previous one, you guys were already on my radar. Damn, you guys are so good... You bastards!!! They bring out the ribeye steak, and from that moment on, I want to stay here forever. The fat from the ribeye alone should be used to make a moisturizing cream (to which Gorka tells me that in Cuéllar, they've asked for it to study making cosmetics with it). Finally, a very, very good fried milk dessert (my grandmother's wins, sorry). For meat lovers, this is a must-visit destination. Too many restaurants are just showing off with their steaks; here, there's substance, expertise, and the results are the kind that leave a lasting impression, captivating you and providing enjoyment from beginning to end.
The head waiter, Gorka, was attentive at all times to ensure everything was perfect. The food was excellent; the ribeye steak was an incredible experience, a true delight for the palate, with every bite revealing all its juices and that fantastic point of maturation. The sommelier was dedicated, recommending wines and making it an enviable honor to try new ones. Lorena, the waitress, was friendly and attentive, ensuring you had everything you needed and that you were comfortable at all times, making every bite and moment at La Maruquesa Terrabuey a unique experience. I recommend it 100%. They make you feel special, and the food is exceptional.
We went for lunch today; the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, a special place for family meals or for couples. The service was spectacular from everyone, but especially from Charly. The food was very good, high quality, and the meat was amazing.
In this case, not having photos of any of the dishes is a great indication that the gastronomic experience we had was a 10 out of 10! Everything was wonderful, from the waiters who greeted us and those who served us at our table from beginning to end, to the sommelier and the head chefs who came out to finish a dish for us and ask about the service. We tried the croquettes, the gyozas, the stuffed pepper, the grated bone marrow rice, the skirt steak, and the cheesecake, and we honestly don't know what to choose because everything was delicious. The food and service are obviously reflected in the price, but it was a real treat and left us with a wonderful aftertaste. Furthermore, the restaurant looks spectacular and is very comfortable. Thank you again for the treatment and excellent service to the entire team; we will definitely be back!
We were eager to try the meats and it was definitely worth the wait. An exquisite sirloin and a fabulous skirt steak, just as Gorka recommended. Thanks to Lorena's dedication, who was attentive at all times, and José's expertise, it was the perfect pairing to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you, Carmen C., for the recommendation.
It's an exceptional place. We celebrated our wedding, and Gorka and his Maruquesa team managed to organize an unforgettable banquet in a friendly space... the best seafood soup I've ever tasted, suckling pig that melted in your mouth, a cocktail that was beyond elegant! I don't have enough words to express my gratitude and to summarize the amazement with which you have literally risen from the ashes. Thank you, and good luck reopening at the original location, with your essence and the magic you have given us. ❤️
A charming place on the canal bank. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, and the terrace is spectacular for a warm evening. The food was excellent! The octopus was the most delicious I've ever eaten; it melted in your mouth. But all the dishes were equally delicious, cooked to perfection and carefully prepared: artichokes, shrimp, cod, and penne. (All recommended) The cheesecake dessert with a different base was a delight! And special attention to the service for its kindness and professionalism.
Perfect! Exceptional restaurant I was there for work in Valladolid and the hotel manager recommended it to me. Well I have to say it exceeded my expectations. Exceptional tuna carpaccio, crispy with fabulous fish filling and rice with lobster and seafood something spectacular. Well done, you are exceptional and out of the ordinary people, I will definitely go back if I am passing through and I can recommend with my eyes closed to anyone. Welcoming and very well-kept environment. Food nothing to say and those who work there know what they are doing. Unbeatable quality price spent €36 per person with 2 water and wine and at this price there is no other place where I come from. P-E-R-F-E-C-T
Very nice place, amazing food.
Fresh, gorgeous and tastful food, we were blown away!
This restaurant, set back from the city center, is well worth a visit not only for its canal-side location but also for its excellent cuisine. The service and atmosphere are pleasant. You'll be tempted to try all the appetizers, but I recommend being cautious because the grilled fish and meat dishes are generous and of high quality. They also have a wide selection of wines.
An idyllic location in Valladolid. The restaurant's location overlooks the Canal de Castilla, making it a charming place. The interior decor makes it a warm and inviting restaurant. The food was also perfect; it's clear they use quality ingredients. We ordered a tiger mussel each, duck micuit with smoked sardine (delicious), squid rings with squid ink aioli, Del Señoret rice, and the brownie for dessert. Definitely a must-have. I'm giving it a 4 because the rice, despite being cooked to perfection, was a bit undersalted and undercooked for my taste. The service was excellent, and the staff was pleasant. We'll definitely be back.
This is my second time here, and the change has definitely been for the better. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, both the presentation and the flavor. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every single dish. I would recommend trying the squid with squid ink mayonnaise and the cheesecake; they were incredible. The service was very fast and attentive throughout. The waiter was spot on with all his recommendations. The views of the canal are beautiful (it's currently under construction, but I'll upload a photo from my last visit).

Expensive and soulless food. Two of us ate for the "modest" price of €120: a salad, scallops, rice with prawns (two of them were dry), and a shared dessert, accompanied by a couple of beers each. The only noteworthy thing was the scallops, because the rice was awful and the salad was the typical supermarket "gourmet" salad with a piece of cheese, some nuts, and raisins. The service was adequate and the canal views were very pleasant, but what really matters... disappointing.
We'd been meaning to try this place for a long time because it looked really good and the place seemed nice. It's true that the decor and the restaurant itself are very pleasant, but the food isn't. The combination of micuit and sardines didn't convince me, because the taste of the sardine overpowers the micuit and doesn't let you appreciate the flavors. The scallops were very good. And the seafood rice was very, very bland and lacking in both ingredients and quantity. There were huge cobwebs in the women's restroom, and the piped music didn't really fit the surroundings. We were a bit disappointed.
Ripped off!!!! Rice for two €46: literally 6 spoonfuls. Not a single one of us could eat that much. For dessert, without asking, they bring you a King Cake: Great!!!! But it's really bad to then try to charge €5 for each slice, especially to a 3-year-old who wasn't even having dessert and didn't touch it. And to top it all off: the needlefish at €190/kg…. And they serve you whatever weight they feel like. They don't even show it or ask. It's not worth it at all. That said, the tripe gyozas were very, very good (€4 each). Please remove the Google images of the fish… you can't even see it.
