Awesome experience! Awesome food! Just a great place to go!

I was with a large group of friends (we had just arrived at the restaurant from a football game) and we were met with nothing but kindness and professionalism from our waiter, Precise(I hope I spelled his name right). He was very happy I serve our group of 16 and was always asking if we needed anything else. It's hard working employees like him that make me want to go back to the restaurant and I hope this review gets him a pay raise.😊

Food was amazing and We had the best waiter. Julian, was very attentive and quick to refill our drinks or ask if there was anything else we needed. The food was very delicious , the service was outstanding. Thank you Julian! We will definitely be back. The I hop in WeslacoTx is the best Awesome service, very clean.

The waitress was cheese, not to mention the breakfast had great cheese. I also made sure to order an omelette with extra cheese, but what good is an omelette with pancakes (hold the cheese). The food and service was exceptional, but the strawberry syrup was divine like cheese. The hash browns good. Overall great cheese

Sitting for 2 in a weekend was faster than usual. There was no wait. Service was on point, and what makes a meal enjoyable is that the kitchen gets your order right, and this time was good. Biscuits were looking like pancakes and not like biscuits.

Went after I ordered an take out order on the app, it was Halloween 🎃 so there was a good amount of people there with their families. I ordered “The Bacon Temptation Omelette” and I ordered “The Classic” and “Classic Steakburger” for both my dad and uncle. Got some extra onion rings as well the food hit the spot!

We stopped from breakfast for mu husband and lunch for myself. He had the chicken fired steak which was quite good but definitely could have been so much better with a small amount of additional gravy, it was quite sparse. I had the classic chicken sandwich which tasted pretty good but the chicken patty was equal to about the size of 4 chicken nuggets so was rather disappointing. It was good, we had a situation with my order but they allowed me to order another plate. Really nice server and the manager very sweet. Hamburger was super good, first time i ordered. It was not that crowded like the one on McAllen.

Typical IHOP experience. I ordered the Colorado Omlette and it was good as usual. The coffee was hot and fresh. My waitress was friendly, but not very attentive. I had to ask for coffee refills twice. She was however busy in her area. The food was out relatively quickly and was hot. The pancakes were excellent as always. Overall a good experience. Expect you standard IHOP visit when you come here.

Don't order scrambled eggs (cold eggs), we came to this IHOP Store # 3108 in Weslaco TX on January 29, 2022 at 8 am , we were seated promptly, but the waitress never came to wait on us (not very many customers), we had to ask to be served and the young lady that was the waitress had an attitude , the manager of this IHOP needs to train their younger waitress in customer service . We had to wait after we finished our breakfast for more coffee , the last time we were here the waitress were great , maybe this one is having a bad day . Will we go back ? Yes we will go back and if this young lady waits on us we will give her a second chance .

I ordered chicken crepes, I didn't like them, they were like a pancake , with a little piece of chicken nothing to be impressed, for the price I think it is not well served. Not coming back for sure.

My elderly mother needed a break so we stopped in for coffee and pastries. The total bill was $12.30 and I left a $2 tip for our male server. The following day I checked my credit card charges and noticed a $20 charge in addition to the $12.30 tab. I immediately called and spoke to a female manager. She informed me she was going to look into it. It took 3 phone calls and 2 trips to the restaurant to finally get reimbursed $20. A male manager initially told me that I had to go back when the server was working to get my money. He sensed my frustration and gave me $20 out of his pocket and informed me he would get reimbursed by the server. I will continue to tip 20% but will definitely be more vigilant about excessive credit card charges.

Normally one of my faves although this time it was about mid morning. Hardly any customers on mid week and a group of 9 comes in and I with my order getting to me one bit at a time, get forgotten. I guess if you order coffee, don't want a refill to that little cup. Waitress never even came by to see if we needed anything. If their cutting staffing down then they should concentrate on excellent customer service. Neither happened.

I love IHOP cause it's one of the last places still open for 24 hours that being said the service there is not the best at times, food is always for the most part great but not the most pleasant place to eat

I ordered the pumpkin spice pancakes. First ones they brought out were not fully cooked. I had them sent back and the second time they brought them still weren't good. I only took pictures of the pancakes on the 2nd time. The waiter was very nice and professional. I have nothing negative to say about him. But the pancakes this night were not so good. Was not the best experience. The food was good but the service was not. It wasnt even that busy. We got more service from the manager and the busser than we did our actual server.

12/18/23 We were greeted promptly but unfortunately after getting sat, nobody came to take our drink / food order. We patiently waited for over 20 minutes but no luck. I counted 4 servers and 6 tables (most already eating). Obviously it was a bad idea to expect decent service this late. It’s disappointing.

* This IHOP is in serious need of a good scrubbing and remodeling. They were very busy with a 15 minute wait for seating around 1:00 pm. The first place where we got seated had issues with the bench seating, (broken springs, so we moved). * Their TV commercials are a bit deceptive...they offer 6.99 specials and such to leave the impression that the place is economical...not so. * A party of 2 was $30+ with the tip. One had 55+ plus discount breakfast, the other had a sandwich with fries. No desserts or extras. Oops. * The service was exceptional. The young lady was very efficient and there when we needed something. We left her a good tip. 11/25/22 UPDATE; This has happened more than once, so I think it is standard procedure...evidently the cooks don't know how to make an omelet with different ingredients. Each time someone in our party has ordered an omelet the veggies are uncooked! They are just folded into the egg after it has been cooked! Management and cooks need to retake Omelet 101. Duh.

Great service, food ok....but this place was filthy....the manager walked away while mentioning about the unkept restaurant...this pictures don't do justice as to how unkept were the tables as well. Will not visit here (Weslaco) again. Below their own standard while comparing them to ihops in Harlingen, Brownsville and McAllen....WOW!!

Our server was great she tried but sadly the kitchen was having issues .We came after our child's Christmas concert and it took about 45 minutes to get almost all our meals.There was 7 of us .Our 12 year old orders the Cheese crusred4 cheese melt sandwich and we all had food and another 15 minutes went by and she got her sandwich and it was cold.You would expect a cheese sandwich to be hot and gooey and it was not at all.Very disappointed the long wait and cold sandwich not made right ... I went Sunday like at 11:45 I know, I know it's packed but I wait for a seat because I haven't gone in a long time , and they don't take longer to put me in a table , the waitress was very good. Please fire the manager here, we waited for over an hour and a half for food. We watched 3 people walk out as he is very difficult to work for. It is literally ridiculous the lack of service. All of the bench seats are so old you can feel where people have set in them. Nothing about this place is any good. They always blame it on the fact that they don’t have staff, but whose fault is that? Also I got my credit card phished here as well. One of the waiters copied my credit card and was using it to buy gas. No joke, I don’t like this place at all. It’s sad

I genuinely don’t understand the high ratings. I ordered hot chocolate and it had grease/oils bubbles at the top, kinda like a soup. Then we had some pancakes. Great! Love those. Added some syrup but not enough, so we went back for more and saw a hair, a human hair STUCK on the opening where the syrup pours out. Aside from that, the restaurant is constantly dirty and sticky. This restaurant really needs to be shut down for like a week to be deep cleaned.

Sat and waited 10 minutes before having to ask for service, only to have the servers argue about who’s table it was. No one came over. What I’m guessing was a manager walked by and noticed that we were just waiting so he took our order. After waiting a ridiculously long time, and having to ask the status on the order, our food was later brought. My omelette seems to have been just thrown together in a forgotten hurry, as none of the ingredients had been cooked. With a gross cheese sauce poured on top. I took a bite test. Left it in its entirety. When telling the “hostess” at checkout she was annoyed that I was telling her bc “she only works in the front and can’t do anything about it”. Worst overall service. Literally pathetic.

Today I had to do what I never want to do get people in problems.. The waitresses were the worse...people were leaving cause they were never attended I got charged for two glasses of sweet tea $7.83 I think they wanted a tip, but I don't tip a waitress when I get NO serves...one of the waitres was grabbing her hair while getting her customers food while others were tucking their shirts in and and grabbing their behinds.. this happened on Saturday 6/25/2022 at 6:45pm when I left 😡 got there at 6:00PM. O I hope the managers do something about this...waitresses should be courtesies and got to their table and tell customers the situation why they weren't being served...They need to hire extra cooks with one cook nothing can't be done...tables and floors were filthy...

I placed an order over the phone. I get there and as usual on a Sunday, a lot of people and just 1 overwhelmed cashier. Finally got my order and cashier asked me to verify everything is there... Isn't that their job in the first place? It was a large order. There's no space to verify each bag and plate. The micro lobby has people to the brim and I'm supposed to do their job???. Needless to say I was missing 1 order when I got home. Not worth going back. They hire people who can ignore the customer with a smile.

As I was walking in to sign in for the waiting list, I saw an older man, who was a bus or however you say he Was squeezing water out of a rag right next to the christmas tree onto the floor which I found odd never seen that before. Then as we headed to our seats I notice this store needs face lift, a few of the booth seats sunked in where you can see the wires imprint. Paint around the store needs touch up. The food didn't come out at the same time, so partial food was cold.

SUCK ! I'm sorry but they truly do and they deserve the criticism. I've only been their twice,and both experiences were flat out disgraceful. First visit was a cold food experience. Ok,it happens. Some time passed and I decide to give it a second chance . This time they rewarded me with a nice long hair in my meal. Unbelievable.

Good afternoon, Today, December 8, 2024, my family and I visited your restaurant located on Exp Bus 83 in Weslaco, TX. While we were waiting to be seated, I observed a staff member using a broomstick, previously used to clean the floor, to clean our seat. When I inquired about it, she mentioned that she used the broom to remove food remnants from the seat. I immediately left, as I was unwilling to sit on a seat cleaned in such a manner. This practice raises significant health concerns, as people, including children, could come into contact with germs and subsequently touch their faces or mouths. Additionally, this method of cleaning can soil patrons’ clothing. I urge you to train your staff appropriately, emphasizing that seats should be cleaned with a rag and disinfectant, not a broom used on the floor. Thank you.

This is the dirtiest restaurant I have ever been to. Food crumbs all over the entrance and all over floor. Then got seated in a booth that was wet like if the table had just been splashed water but not clean. So we asked if it could be cleaned up the waitress gave us napkins for us to do it. Then food arrived I asked for an extra plate and the plate she brought was all dirty with egg drops on it. Then when. I asked for a cleaned plate she looked at me like really. I'm sure she wouldn't eat off that plate either. Went to the restroom couldn't even use the restroom it was so dirty poop all over the toilet seats. Like someone could at least check them. There was nothing wrong with the food but I couldn't eat because it was so dirty it grossed me out. I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here unless you want to be eating in all that mess.

I'm a disabled veteran who brought his family to breakfast and always appreciated the military discount on my ticket. But since you decided to quit giving it, myself as well as My family will never ever come back here again

The restaurant was half full. The service was slow. The coffee was not good or hot. The food wasn't hot either. The server would have to be reminded of things we had asked for. Not a good experience.

Food is very bland and all the breakfast we ordered from the menu did not come with toast. As a matter of fact, the menu doesn't let you know that the toast and substitutions of pancakes to crates to waffles is two dollar extra. Our silverware and glasses were dirty and smelled like egg. If it wasn't for the waiter we would have walked out but he was very attentive and made us want to stay just so we can in joy he's company.

I ordered curbside and got there at the scheduled time and had to wait 45 minutes before finally being brought out my food that had already gone cold. Don’t see the point of ordering ahead if I still have to wait or if yall are too busy to remember you have customers outside.

I went there yesterday morning and got great service and great food. Even left a 25% tip. Went this afternoon and got seated and waited for 10 minutes without service. Got up and left. There is the difference between morning shift and afternoon shift. Hence why tips are earned not given just because the bill is whatever.

Was advised after receiving drinks and ordering food that card machines / system inoperable. This forced me to leave my family behind and go to the ATM. Waitress said they been having issues all day so should have been disclosed on arrival. Table was also dirty when we were sat down.

The restaurant was basically empty when we walked in. We sat down and we weren't approached we waited about 10 minutes. Nobody came to give us a menu. I must say a lady walked in after us. Nobody went to give her a menu either. Then a couple walked in and they waited, the waiter asked them if they would like to order. They let the waiter know they didnt have the menu. Im unsure why the waiter would go with them first when they arrived after after our fam and the lady. The cooker walked in with an apron into the bathroom 🚻. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.

The last fourth times they messed our orders, instead of receiving the tomato basil soup they served me a kind of A1 hot sauce bbq mix, manager corrected the issue, then the next time they gave me a spicy poblano omelette instead of the spinach and mushrooms I ordered and they fix the issue and told me to keep the spicy poblano omelette too but at checkout they charged me both, then the next time I ordered again my tomato basil soup and it never got to the table and had to ask for it to be removed from the checkout ticket, and today we received horrible service, they forgot my order of French fries and it never got to our table, I did ask for a cup of water and it never got to the table either, we asked for coffee and had to wait more than 20 min for a refill, they got us two plates of regular size pancakes and another one miniature size, and we ask about it and the two servers pretended we said nothing and show no interest in changing the pancakes, and the other thing that is the one that is really disturbing is that my family and I received poor customer service meanwhile the people from the other table (White Americans) received super well served full plates, and table touchdown was every five minutes for them, why to make a difference on how well served plate is for white Americans and way better service for them and for us like we weren't there, it is so disappointing specially because here in the valley the Hispanic community consist of the 95% of the total population. I never upload reviews and I'm a very patient person, I get it that sometimes working in the food service can be stressful, we all make mistakes but tonight it was one of the worst experiences, specially because of the difference in service for them and for us, is a shame because it used to be my favorite restaurant and no, I'm not looking to receive any kind of compensation, just please provide a better customer service training to the waitress and servers.

Don't recommend this place. Is not the company fault, is the employees fault. The meat was raw, food was cold. Service was awful. Didn't brought all the food. Took forever to bring me what I told them they forgot and still come and verify if I was lying. I'm like common I'm hungry and the lady o yes I forgot to brought your food. Took 15 minutes to charge me. Not sure if she did it on purpose or something. If the company continue having employees like this , it will go bankrupt one day which I hope not. But gotta be careful on choosing the right people.

I felt like eating a sandwich today, so I ordered the turkey. It tasted funny, so I checked and found these tomatoes,...rotten tomatoes. I complained, and the manager wobbled over.....he made some lame excuse about they prepare them fresh and said he would check. He never came back. I paid and left. Horrible service, rotton food, and bad management.
