Love this place. We didn't like the table we were seated at, and they went out of their way to make us happy on a busy Friday night. The food is absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. We will definitely be back.
Great homey spot. Service was great & food was delicious. Would definitely come again. Lentil soup was 🤩. Had pistachio baklava was a side of Turkish tea and it was fabulous ✨
Selda Dallas is another hidden gem I’ve found in the city. I’ll start by saying thank you to the team who made our experience so great. The moment we walked in everyone was so welcoming, and it felt good to know that you are welcomed. We ate dinner on the patio and our server was Firat who was wonderful. All of the food 10/10. The lamb chops were so flavorful and so tender honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. I feel like I shouldn’t tell people about this place and keep it to myself it’s so wonderful. Honestly go here and eat. They also have hookah that you add on to the table. Overall I give this place a 10/10. I’ll return. Thank you to the team at Selda.
Exceptional service from everyone! The food was amazing and delicious. We truly felt valued and appreciated. Hospitality was top notch. The atmosphere was welcoming.
We went to Selda for breakfast and had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious and everything tasted fresh and high quality. The service was also excellent — the staff were very friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We truly enjoyed our time there. In fact, we usually celebrate many of our special occasions there, including most of our birthdays. It has become one of our favorite places to gather and celebrate. We always have a great experience and will definitely keep coming back!
First time here, and it was wonderful! The restaurant was completely packed 845pm on a Thursday night. The food itself was super delicious!! We had a beet+watermelon+cheese+spinach salad which was so refreshing. I ordered the grilled spinach substituted with veggies. All the appetizers were full of flavor and the restaurant itself was very lively. The staff were also very friendly. Highly reccomend trying for delicious authentic Mediterranean food
Two nights ago, I had dinner there with 3 friends and we are all senior citizens. The food and service was excellent, but that is not why I'm writing this review. One of my friend's - who was our driver- fell in the parking lot and her injury required an ambulance and hospital care. The staff of Selda's including their manager and hostess were incredibly helpful and concerned where the hostess subsequently drove the remaining three of us home. I just wanted to thank the Selda staff publicly for their kindness.
My friend and I visited Selda today and were very warmly welcomed into the restaurant. Our manager, Volkan, and his team were so hospitable and kind to us! We ordered the Ali Nazik, which is a delicious lamb dish with mashed eggplant (I think - I should have asked because it was THAT good!) and some beans. We also had fresh and crispy bread with tzatziki, hummus, and spicy ezme. The food was excellent, hospitality was top notch, and the vibe of the restaurant was so nice. We also had some kind of strawberry and chocolate type of cake with turkish tea too. I rate this 12/10 and would absolutely come back!
We LOVE this place. 10/10 service, menu, & vibes. Had a family dinner to celebrate an engagement and I wouldn’t have changed a single thing. The flavor of the beef adana is soo rich & the kazandibi there is better than I’ve had in Turkey. Will definitely be back soon and this will be my family’s go to for all occasions!
I'm writing this review to highlight our server, Indira, who truly made our dining experience an A+. She was incredibly attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu, and even recommended drinks that she personally made for us—which were absolutely delicious. The food was great, the drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We genuinely enjoyed our evening and felt very well taken care of. Thank you, Indira! We will definitely be back to visit you again soon.
Selda on Belt Line Road is a fantastic spot with a lively, welcoming atmosphere—the place was buzzing and full when we visited. The ambience was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. We loved the hummus, which was creamy and full of flavor. The vegetarian pide was perfectly baked and absolutely delicious. The hot, fresh bread was a highlight and paired beautifully with everything. To end the meal, the baklava and künefe were outstanding—rich, sweet, and unforgettable.
Excellent service and food. I ordered the beet salad to start, and the mixed platter which includes three types of grilled meat, rice and tomatoes. The platter can feed 3-4 people easily. Everything was well seasoned and full of flavor. They also offer fresh bread to start. I ordered the Turkish coffee martini and it was a stellar cocktail. The staff was attentive and professional. Others in my party loved their food and drinks as well!
I am so happy I found Selda. They have true Mediterranean/Turkish food. Their bread is outstanding and one the the best I've had, all their dishes are not overly seasoned and I love how tender the meats are. Excellent service and I haven't had any bad experience with any of their dishes. Uploading some photos of the dishes I've tried.
I came here today for something like, something vegetarian and I chose the baba ghanoush and the lentil soup and they’re both wonderful! I love the atmosphere in this restaurant. It’s very beautiful and the service is awesome! It’s very Turkish Mediterranean so it’s very high in flavor it is probably my favorite Mediterranean restaurant of all the restaurants I’ve been to the serve Mediterranean type food. And it’s much more flavorful no matter what you choose. I have been coming to this restaurant for quite some time now, and I watched the Changes from when you first started to what it is today there’s a wonderful place to eat! Choose anything on the menu And it is delicious!
My husband and I love to go out for Mediterranean food once in a while. We decided to try this particular restaurant because it was closest. The food was flavorful, pleasing to the eye and it just checked all the boxes for our pallet. We had dates, hummus, chicken, skewers and a meat veggie pizza I cannot recall the name of, just delish! The drinks, service and staff or Simply Attentive and made great recommendations. We highly recommend you check out this new establishment!
Don't let the looks of this place fool you. The food here is exquisite and the service is on point. It's more of an upscale restaurant than what you would expect from looking at the building. I think it used to be a fast food restaurant in a previous life. I had the beef shish and it was PERFECT! The beef was very, very tender and seasoned just right. The salad was tasty and the rice was delicious. We'll be back!
Our favorite Turkish restaurant in town!🙌 My husband and I are obsessed with Selda!! it’s our go-to spot. The food is ALWAYS amazing🤤 I love that the menu is marked for food sensitivities, perfect for gluten-free diners like me. They even offer gluten-free bread and dessert, which is such a thoughtful touch! My favorites are the Turkish meatballs and Ali Nazik😋 both gluten free and full of flavor. And we never leave without a cup of their Turkish tea to end the meal🫖 Highly recommended💯
Selda was recommended to my wife and I and we tried it out that night! We ordered the arugula salad and added chicken. We also ordered the birayni special and falafel. Didn’t do the hookah even through it actually smelled nice. Served offered us some tea free to charge, but as it had caffeine we skipped that as well. Very good staff, quick service, delicious food. Check out Selda if you’re a fan of Turkish food!
We visited Selda last week and it has become one of our favorite Mediterranean restaurants. We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and ordered a lot of different type of dishes. The people there walked us through the menu to ensure we have a good variety of all the flavors they offered. They also stopped the entire restaurant for a couple of minutes to serenade our friend for his special day. Excellent food and even better people. Can’t want to come back!
Was craving Mediterranean food while in the area and came across this gem. What an amazing experience! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious — the lamb chops, fried cauliflower, kebabs, and kunefe were all full of flavor and cooked to perfection. And their freshly baked bread? Just wow! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely recommending this place and can’t wait to go back!
Came on a Thursday night about 6:15 and there was a line to be seated - though it went quickly. The outside patio was already full or reserved. Inside was half full with 2 large tables reserved. We were able to be seated but Next time I will make a reservation One page menu with a variety of meat selections. Over 1/2 the menu is Gluten free and 1/3 Dairy Free. There are also Gluten options on the menu. We ordered 2 entrees. They came out quickly considering the number of people in the restaurant. Portions were good. Nothing was heavily spiced. Though the salad was a bean salad, it was by no means heavy. We enjoyed our entrees but thought afterward how we should have gotten several appetizers ( called “small bites”) to fully experience the Turkish cuisine. I recommend this restaurant - I also recommend making a reservation first.
Amazing Turkish food in north Dallas. We have been going there for a few years now. Food never disappoints. The wine list is short but decent. We love the warm pita served with whipped butter. They have a few salads that are pretty good. Highly recommend Halumi and Baba ganush. Chicken kebabs are pretty good as well. There is a large desert glass cabinet that you can take a look and pick.
We reserved for the 31st night, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The atmosphere was fantastic—very lively and perfect for celebrating the evening. The food exceeded our expectations; everything tasted great, and the chicken kabobs were especially delicious and flavorful. The only thing I didn’t like was the automatic 20% gratuity for our large group. If the bill had been combined, a single 20% tip would have applied. However, since we split the bill four ways, we ended up paying 20% on each split, which felt unfair. The gratuity should have been calculated as 20% of the overall bill instead. That said, overall it was a great experience, and I would still recommend this place for its food and lively atmosphere.
Very highly reputable restaurant Selda has many locations in Dallas, I finally gotta try it. It’s a small intimate place they do have outdoor dining too which can add more space as the indoor is quite small. Service was great the server answered all the questions we had and she was always checking on every table. The food was a disappointment for me, the dishes don’t get along they do lack sauce and salt components. There are no sauces to dip in or as sides everything is a seperate dish. We ordered the lamb shish kabab well presented dish with bread, salad and skewered meat. The salad lacked salt or lemon which just had sumac even after I added salt all the components didn’t work very dry meat no sauce to put in together. The chicken kebab was good, the rice and bean salad was much better to put everything as a dish. The star of our evening was the kunefe which was the best one I tasted after a long time. They do have a lot of dessert selections.
Let’s start with the positives. They serve the best espresso martini I’ve had- it’s made with Turkish coffee. The bread that’s served with the babaganoush and other dishes is wonderful. The portions are also large and I think the prices are reasonable. The negatives- I ordered the Shepherd Salad- it was primarily cucumbers, a lot of onion and tomato- very little parsley and just a sprinkle of feta. It is a dish I feel that I could easily have recreated at home with more feta and flavor. I also ordered the Halloumi cheese. It was good but not as good as I’ve had at other restaurants- like Fusion Mediterranean at Preston and LBJ. They brought my food out first- I was almost done and my friend’s food (lamb chops) still hadn’t arrived. No one checked on us. We had to flag down a server and tell her. (I’m not sure how the server system works here- we did not see the man who took our order again- it was all different staff-maybe that’s the issue) She was very apologetic and there was some sort of error. The food was finally brought out when I was completely finished with my meal. I had to wave my empty water glass to get a refill. It was empty a second time but I didn’t bother. The lamb chops were good but she’d had better. A server brought us a complimentary dessert for our troubles. When we left- I noticed that they had a plate of those at the exit- free for the taking so that made the gesture less special and sincere. We both decided we would not go back. You should probably try it- your experience should be better based on their ratings.
Looking for grilled fish . Found This restaurant in Dallas . Went for dinner and place was 1/3 full . They have indoor and outdoor. Indoor was warm ( AC temp set too high or off) so we switched to patio. Once in the patio , service changed we have to ask for silverware, asked for our ordered orange juice , asked for olive oil ( poor quality) . We ordered stuffed dates ( pricey ) hummus ( maybe added saffron for orange color ), grilled branzino (pricey, fresh ,you can tell because fish was juicy and soft ,was good ) Grilled meatballs ( nothing special it's just like burger that's grilled ) , and pistachio mousse for dessert ( was okay ) I don't know where they got the 4.9 rating but for us it's 3.5 . I will recommend if you want to eat grilled branzino only otherwise go to another better place .
Not to be too picky. I went after school today. My first time. I asked the person at the counter, what were the different chocolates? I don't know if she didn't understand me.She couldn't tell me what the difference between all the different wrappers and different types of chocolates were. She handed me a blue wrapped chocolate and said this is a gift. It had nuts in it. I'm not allergic, but what if somebody had an allergy? I think there should be signs with ingredients.
