Checked out a new spot last night, and it ended up being an incredible meal! We started off with the trio platter, and everything was a hit! For our main courses, we split the couscous ratatouille, and the chicken and the pasta and the short ribs. Everything was delicious. Plus great service! Highly recommend for a fun night out.
This Turkish restaurant is the best. Me and my friend stopped by for breakfast and that was the best decision we made. The service was excellent, the breakfast was superb and the atmosphere was amazing. It was Saturday morning but as soon as they opened around 9:30 am the place filled up really quickly. That speaks volume. The breakfast for two is more than enough food.
Authentic Turkish Flavors with a Cozy Vibe! Lokma is an amazing spot in San Francisco for authentic Turkish and Mediterranean food. The ambience is warm, modern, and inviting — perfect for brunch or dinner. The dishes are beautifully presented and full of flavor — from the juicy kebabs to the freshly baked bread and delicious mezes. The service is attentive and friendly, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. Their Turkish coffee and desserts are a must-try! A perfect blend of great food, great service, and great atmosphere — highly recommended!
Visited Lokma for an occasion and enjoyed every part of my meal there. We especially devoured the Manti (Turkish dumplings) served with creamy garlic yogurt and tomato butter sauce. Street parking can be challenging in the area. Recommended for dates/smaller parties, and to book reservations ahead of time for ease with seating. They also do pickup and delivery.
I came to Lokma to try their Turkish breakfast as I have heard much about them. Though their Turkish breakfast did not disappoint I must admit their pancakes really created a bigger stir. Mixed with yogurt and fresh berries, these pancakes are just above the ordinary stack. I highly recommend them and would visit again to try other perhaps more traditional Turkish flare.
I went here yesterday for an anniversary dinner with my partner and we really liked it overall :)) Our waitress was extremely kind and helpful. The sevice was excellent across the board. The food was also excellent. The chicken was extremely tender and well prepared and the freshness of the ingredients really shines through. I do wish I was able to see/understand Turkish influences a bit more clearly but we really liked this place and will be coming back again.
f you're looking for an authentic and absolutely delicious Turkish breakfast experience in San Francisco, Lokma is a must-visit! We ordered their Turkish breakfast spread and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Each small dish felt thoughtfully prepared from the creamy cheeses and honey to the vibrant olives and fresh fruits. The scrambled eggs with sausage (sucuk) were fluffy and perfectly seasoned, and the warm, fluffy pita slices were the perfect match. Their spinach and cheese börek was a real highlight too flaky, savory, and topped with a light sprinkle of sesame seeds. The presentation alone is worth mentioning everything came out so colorful and inviting. (See the photos!) The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The cozy atmosphere and beautiful wooden tables made it feel like a true Turkish home. Highly recommend Lokma for anyone craving a vibrant and hearty breakfast it's truly one of the best breakfast experiences I've had in the Bay Area! Favorite bites: Sucuklu Yumurta (Turkish sausage with scrambled eggs) Spinach Börek Homemade jams and olives Thank you, Lokma team -- can't wait to come back!
This restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal. Although parking was challenging, the food, atmosphere, and attentive staff made my experience truly enjoyable. I will definitely revisit this place if I'm in the area. The beet appetizer was particularly flavorful, featuring an unexpected combination of fruit and vegetables. The Branzino, a Mediterranean sea bass, was cooked to perfection. Its delicious white fish meat was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening.
That this place is packed even around 8:30 PM tells you how good it is. The honey and pita small bite is my favorite item on the menu. A spoon is provided so that you can drip sweet honey and clotted cream over perfectly crisp, warm pita. The other dishes are decadent too of course. It’s cozy and warm with interior brick walls that make the vibe a bit edgier than it would be otherwise.

Such a cute place. The food is mediocre. Started with a high note on appetizers, the kofta was on the dry side but it had all the right spices, the zucchini dolmas tasted delicious. The grilled chicken was also dry, the mousaka was rather bland and had not enough beef. But overall the food was gorgeously plated, the place was cute and the service was great.
Was here for early dinner on a weekend with family - came recommended by friend who lives in the neighborhood. Had a number of different dishes which we shared - dumplings, branzino, lamb, scallops - all well-prepared. It’s a relatively small and cozy restaurant in a quiet area. Circled the block to look for parking.

A story about how one of my favorite spices (cinnamon) ruined brunch on a Sunday. I love cinnamon. In pastries, in coffee, in savory chili.i just did not expect it to hijack a savory Turkish ratatouille and dominate my entire plate. The Good: • For a walk-in only, a short 10 minute wait was very much appreciated •The eggs were beautifully executed - soft, fluffy, properly folded, tender inside without being runny or rubbery. You can tell the kitchen knows what they’re doing. • Tzatziki on eggs? Unexpected and absolutely delicious. Cool, tangy, creamy against warm eggs - amazing! • The Arnold Palmer was perfectly balanced (not too sweet, not too tea-heavy). Clean layers, refreshing, 5/5. • Cold water served immediately upon arrival (and properly cold). It’s such a simple touch, but always appreciated. • Ambiance is top notch - warm, inviting, great brunch energy. • Attentive staff throughout. The Not-So-Good: • The Turkish ratatouille was overwhelmingly cinnamon-forward. That was the only dominant note I could taste, and it overpowered the dish to the point where I struggled to finish it. Interestingly, the server initially mentioned they don’t add cinnamon but after checking with the kitchen, confirmed that cinnamon is indeed added. It was just far too much. • No side plate. With oranges, sauce, and potatoes sharing space, there was nowhere to rest utensils or keep citrus from soaking into the stew. Small detail, but it matters. • No salt and pepper on the table, so there was no way to tweak seasoning. The frustrating part is that the technical cooking - especially the eggs - was excellent. But when one spice dominates and a few small service details are overlooked, it changes the entire experience. Cinnamon, I still love you.
Came in with a party of two for dinner around 6pm on a Monday. We did not make a reservation and were given high top seats by the window. It’s a cozy spot, and I was surprised they were able to seat that many people in that space. Dinner food was okay, all in all more like a 3.5/5 rating, but I was not wowed. You should double check with the waiter and clarify a few times if you have food allergies. My friend has a dairy allergy and we clarified a few times that meant no butter as well. We shared the calamari which was tasty. The texture of the couscous pearls, nuts, and the calamari was chewy and fun to eat each bite. My friend ordered the burger and really enjoyed that. As for my braised short rib, it was prepared nicely as I barely had to use my knife. I wish there was a flavorful sauce that it came with to dip the meat and potatoes. It was a solid meal overall but I probably won’t come again for dinner. Perhaps I will check out the brunch as they are known for brunch more.
I've never seen so many headless turkeys in my life. Bless that one server that is singlehandedly carrying the entire restaurant. She must be able to deadlift 1000 lbs without breaking a sweat. I've never had it so difficult to grab a waiter's attention. No one is working???? Service aside, food is comforting and simple. Nothing wild. Probably not worth the price tag. Overall, my experience that day was horrible and I'm never coming back.
We came to eat and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. When we were finally called, we were taken to a very small table outside where there was barely enough space to sit comfortably. To make matters worse, there was a dog sitting directly under the table next to us. I am not comfortable with dogs being that close while I’m eating — especially with the possibility of being licked or having them right at my feet. Additionally, my friend is genuinely afraid of dogs, which made the situation even more stressful for her. We politely asked if we could move to one of the side tables instead. Instead of trying to accommodate us, we were told we would need to wait another 30 minutes because the restaurant is “pet friendly.” Being pet friendly is completely fine — we respect that. However, customers who are not comfortable sitting directly next to animals should also be considered. After already waiting 30 minutes, it was disappointing that no alternative seating option was offered, especially when there were two open tables on the other side outside and also inside. As two hijabi Muslim women, it felt like clear discrimination. We simply wanted to enjoy a meal comfortably, but instead we were told to essentially leave.
