My experience was nice and felt authentic. With familiar flavors, the first bite into my Vietnamese sandwich gave me flashbacks of the all familiar place I call my second home. Art work on the wall was welcoming, giving me a feeling of pride. With just a street in Saigon to a street in Albany NY, I immediately felt a connection. I got a good idea while I sat and ate my Vietnamese sandwich(with flashbacks of my second home). I thought, “could I help make this owner the best cup of cafe su da from Albany to Vietnam? 🤔 “
I'm so happy we have a Banh Mi sandwich shop in our neighborhood. The bread is light and flakey, loaded with fresh ingredients which makes for delicious sandwiches! We got the BBQ pork and the Lemongrass Chicken, I favored the pork with rich BBQ taste. Not pictured but I got their pork stuffed puffs and they were awesome. I don't know too many places that serve Vietnamese Coffee, it's strong but beautifully blended with the condensed milk for the perfect afternoon pick me up.
I was born and raised in Vietnam, and i have a standard to my banh mi. I’ve tried many banh mi shops in the U.S but Banh Mi 47 is by far my favorite. The bread is the star here! The crust is thin and fluffy just like a banh mi should be! Probably the most authentic bread i’ve ever had! You cant just slaps some cold cut meat on a bread anh call it banh mi, no! It has to be thin, chewy, fluffy and flavorful. They give a proportional amount of filling to compliment the bread too. Cold cut ham banh mi is my favorite. I still dream about their banh mi sometimes. The service is friendly and the shop is very clean, seems very cozy too.
A wow for your palate. Inexpensive. Savory and sophisticated flavors delivered in unpretentious package. Healthy portions of protein and root veggies inside this roll. This is my fourth visit, food is consistently superior, meat is juicy, veggies fresh. Worth visiting this neighborhood just for this.
Great little spot for a quick lunch. The bread for the sandwich was fantastic, and baked fresh there every morning. The sandwich itself was delicious, and coffee is was top notch too. I'll be back any time I'm nearby

Huge sandwiches for so cheap! I got the tofu and can't wait to try the vegan pork the bread is so crisp too
Classic authentic banh mi in Albany is finally here! Look no where else, this is the perfect spot. Delicious Vietnamese sandwiches with the option to change into rice bowls. Anyone in the area should definitely give this place a try, been going here for about 5 weeks straight
This is most certainly the best Banh Mi I've ever had. I got the tofu lemongrass with extra pickled veggies and I'm glad I did! It was flavorful and refreshing. I'll definitely be back to try their coffee and bubble tea.
The banh mi was really really good. Got both my Vietnamese mom and dad the 1. Dac Biet and they loved it. My mom said the banh mi can be a little bit thicker but it’s personal preference. I got the Xa Xiu and was really good too. Friendly service. Clean tables.
The bread is the real superstar here! Crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy when you bite in. Much harder to bake than you'd think. Excellent banh mi, the best in the area for sure. Vegetarian options, meat is really good too.
Amazing, came here will my collage club and have an amazing time, the owners have an amazing story and bread that made the whole culinary school question what they know about bread, truly a gem

Personalized, friendly, quick customer service & the food is a welcomed addition to Downtown Albany. The ambiance is very welcoming and the hand painted artworks are to be seen not told. A definite “Yes” when Downtown Albany!

Great sandwiches. Service is quick and the food is tasty. Sandwiches range from $8-10. It's a hard deal to beat for a nice sandwich on fresh bread. Recommend.
Never understood the hype around Banh Mis until eating here. The bread is perfectly flaky and crispy and their sandwiches in general are so fresh and delicious. Absolutely love this spot and come here everytime I’m in Albany. And they’re super affordable too!
The #4 (BBQ pork) and #5 (pork meatballs) are a tasty value at $8.34 each (plus tax). The bread is soft with a very light crust. The green tea boba is likewise reasonably priced at $5 for a large.
Delicious banh mi sandwiches. We had the #1 (signature mix), #6 lemongrass chicken, and #9 grilled lemongrass pork, Vietnamese iced coffee, and peach boba tea. Sandwiches were tasty and well-made. Iced coffee could be stronger brew and flavor. Peach boba was okay. Enjoyed and would recommend the sandwiches!
Good little Vietnamese sandwich shop. Very friendly service with standard banh mi choices. Flavorful and nicely seasoned. Ingredients are fresh. Bread is nicely baked. Reasonably priced. Would recommend this place!

Overall the sandwich was good. The bread had some crispness to it good morning. The main thing that I would want to warn people about are the potential allergies. The only sandwich I could have for various reasons was the tofu lemon grass. Many of the sandwiches have fish or shellfish in it including the lemongrass chicken that I wanted. They said it was in the marinade. I also don’t eat pork which was in some. I don’t know if they have the allergen list online, but it is written in the store. Just be aware when you go buy

Food was fresh and tasted great, but there was barely any chicken on my sandwich. I don’t really eat a lot so this is the first time I’ve been hungry after eating a meal in a long time. Forgot what a disappointing feeling it is 😂

I was excited to try this place, since they have two vegetarian banh mi available, and offer vegan mayo. However, my first experience was very disappointing. The shop was well decorated but unfortunately smelled bad, like garbage. I ordered my sandwich to go, and the garbage smell was so strong that it lingered in my car and I lost my appetite while driving home. Eventually I did try the sandwich and it didn’t taste off, so I’m not sure where the garbage smell was coming from. The sandwich itself was underwhelming. The tofu was somewhat flavorless, and there was a poor bread-to-filling ratio. I might try this spot again if they resolve the trash smell issue, but I can’t recommend it based on my first experience.

Banh mi is good, but unfortunately I won’t be returning again due to the persistent garbage/sewage-like smell in the restaurant that makes the food not worth it. The smell lingers on the food/packaging after you’ve left. I’ve been there at least a few times, but I just can’t get past the smell and I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews that speak about this.
