A small but might shop! My colleagues recommended Blackstone and I have been getting coffee here almost every morning! Not only is the coffee GOOD, but the staff are the NICEST, warmest people behind the counter. This attentive and welcoming vibe makes all the difference, unlike some coffee shops in the neighborhood. They know my order and preferences, the egg salad is delicious, the wraps are plentiful, and they're quick, too! Highly recommend!
Our club placed a large coffee order in advance and the manager Ray could not have been more accommodating. The order was ready right on time with a very generous amount of condiments: regular and fat free milk and supplies: cups, stirrers, sugar, sweeteners and napkins. I made a second visit to confirm the order and Ray greeted me by name after having only met me once. I was extremely impressed with the outstanding customer service. Although I am not a coffee drinker myself, the coffee also got rave reviews. The prices are also very reasonable and fair.
🎶 sometimes you wanna go, where everybody knows your name 🎶 Show up here during the morning coffee rush, and you’ll hear the owner greeting nearly everyone who walks in like they’re Norm from Cheers. And he already knows their order! Even as a non-regular (I would be if I lived nearby) who’s not on a first name basis, every time I’ve been here has been consistent: good coffee and friendly service. If you’re gonna go out for a cup of coffee, get it from these guys, where you’ll also be guaranteed a smile and some kindness to start your day on a positive note.
The food and coffee are fantastic. The owners are some of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve met in NYC. You walk through the door and they greet you like family. Love this place!
Great 👍.. Hospitality was Amazing 🤩. They made me feel extra special like I was a regular Customer and that was my first time there. I am a retired executive Chef and Master Ice Sculptor. I will stop 🛑 back 🔙 on that First impression alone. Reason being that is the most important #1 thing in any kind of thing in life 🧬 That is going to involve people walking in from the outside public at any given time and the impression they perceive and as I like to say Period the end 🔚... That's it in a nut 🥜 shell. Whatever it maybe 🤔💭 If they walk in and it looks Like the same atmosphere as the Bronx Petting Zoo and in Fact their at the Ritz Carlton Manhattan and it's always Quiet 🤫😔 there People are going to turn 🛞🛞 Rate around and not only leave most will get on social media and post a review. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Star's for Blackstone Coffee ☕🏙️☕🏙️☕💖
What can I say! I’ve just finished 3 weeks working in The Village and stumbled on this gem my first morning…and went back every morning since! Sammy and his sons run such a great spot. By the 3rd day I didn’t need to tell how I liked my coffee and was being greeted by name! And this is a busy spot, so the fact they know most customers names and take the time to chat, is a testament to true customer service. And the food just follows in those footsteps, fresh and tasty. Can’t wait to return!
Found this place by accident, and those are the best finds! Coffee was nice and hot, perfect for the 20 degree freezing weather! Service was fast and food was great. My sister and I both got a bagel with cream cheese because you can't go to NY and not get a NY bagel! Will definitely be back next trip!
Such a cute place! Everything you can think about for a casual no fuss breakfast, coffee and a snack during the day. We came here on. Sunday morning and people kept coming in,regulars, tourists or just people wondering around the neighborhood. We took coffee which was great, bagels, cookies and even fruit and yogurt. Love it!
Most amazing father & son that run this coffee / breakfast spot. They personalize every encounter and they put love into into every bite, making the food healthy, delicious, and you feel at home. The selection of what you can order is everything you want and more and the hours are ideal for very early risers. It’s a neighborhood staple🙌🏼 I recently returned from Italy and after mentioning it in passing they started playing Italian music 🎶 as I sat to enjoy coffee & a bagel and it’s was simply delightful. Warmest homecoming that was totally unexpected.
There's a line out the door for Blackstone while Starbucks sits empty down the block - and for good reason. The family run operation offers more than just great coffee, custom sandwiches and salads - they offer a bit of what we call crave...community. Sammy, the patriarch offers a hearty welcome to everyone who walks through his door "Hey cousin! How are you? What are you having today?" If you're lucky he knows you by name - he always asks about my wife Anna - you feel extra special when he calls you by your real name. He sons Ray and Alex are equally likable, albeit less gregarious as their pop, but they're learning. Tables and umbrellas set up outside with Sinatra music have made Blackstone the cool hang-out these days. The staff hustles orders out to those who've already ordered while in-line you'll find Wall Street brokers, a dad with kid in tow headed to PS3, New York's Finest from the 6th Precinct, an old-school Villager like me who's had a footprint here since the 60's. I miss the time where every shop in the Village was owned and operated by it's proprietors and made the Village... well more like a village. Thankfully we've got Blackstone that brings us all a little closer together one cup of coffee at a time.
Amazing service ran by a family. The food is great. Usually busy during morning commute but can always call to pick up to avoid lines. This is my favorite neighborhood spot. My daughters go-to is the #3 - egg white, kale, avacado sandwich with salsa (not spicy). And mine is egg while, spinach, tomato, feta wrap. Can’t beat it!
It's a tiny, order-at-the-counter cafe (almost like a tiny bodega) with non-alcoholic beverages, chips, snacks, baked goods, ready-made pastas, paninis and sides, coffee, tea, sandwiches and smoothies. The coffee has a sweet flavor and is quite tasty. I also had a turkey club sandwich that was great too. The guy at the register (owner?) was funny and nice and the service was fast. They have tall stools to sit at by the windows but this is mostly a take out kind of place.
Small quaint place on a busy corner = great location My everything bagel , simple but really darn good.. Service was exactly what I expected. NY coffee shop perfection with just NY tude to make me inwardly smile. Those that know will understand I ordered d a Cortado as well. Not bad at all. Would you order again, well I would not walk a NY mile but if I am near the area for sure ..
Ordered a latte since I’ve been meaning to check out most coffee places in Greenwich Village. It was good, and I’m impressed by the decent pricing. Better pricing than other coffee shops nearby. The quality was good. The only drawback would be that it isn’t just a coffee shop, and as a result, coffee isn’t the main focus of their business. So if you just want coffee, perhaps there other places will satisfy your needs. This is more deli-like. 😌
This charming corner spot on the west side is a gem. If you happen to find yourself in this area after a night of bar hopping at EOs or other nearby spots, it's the perfect place to refuel with some much-needed carbs to combat that impending hangover. You can visit this establishment for a range of options, including coffee, bagels, tuna melts, BLTs, and more. Sammy and his dedicated staff, who have been a part of this place for several decades, create an experience that feels reminiscent of something I've encountered in the Caribbean - they treat you like family if you're open to having a conversation with them. Definitely worth a visit!
