Cooper’s has & will always be my friend’s and family spot! From birthdays to a Saturday night out with the girls. We’ve tried so many dishes from the menu and they never disappoint and let’s not talk about the hospitality, if you happen to stop by ask for Maylin as your server, she’s amazing and is always accommodating to my allergies & diet regulations!
We had been to another Cooper's Hawk in Orlando years ago and it was the best meal we had on vacation, when we noticed this location was a short detour on our way back home from Williamsburg it was an easy yes. Food was incredible and staff was super friendly. There was a tiny mix up in the kitchen with a wrong side given but I told them I didn't mind. Waitress insisted I get the right side and brought it as well. We were there for lunch the burger was massive a little messy but one of the best burgers I've ever had. Partner has a the lunch salmon and also said it was amazing. I would definitely encourage anyone to check this place out even if wine isn't your thing.
A casual vibe in an elegant setting. Excellent food, great service. I often go for brunch, though their dinner menu is fantastic for a special occasion.
I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. No complaints about my dining experience. We will visit again soon.
I had such a wonderful wine tasting experience with Bobbie at Cooper’s Hawk - Ashburn. She was welcoming, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable about all the wines. Bobbie took the time to explain each pour in a way that was both informative and easy to follow, while also keeping the experience lighthearted and enjoyable. Her energy and passion for what she does truly made the tasting special and becoming a member Thank you, Bobbie, for making our visit memorable. I'll be back soon!
Hubby surprised me and we spend New Year’s Eve here wine tasting!! The wine tasting experience was fun. I appreciated the wide selection and generous pours lol. The food was tasty too. The atmosphere was also elegant but chill. Hubby got a membership so I look fwd to many more experiences here. Can’t wait to try brunch!
Our party of four arrived at the time of our reservation - our table was ready and a name card was appointed to keep our spot ready. The service here is impeccable. We were attended to without intrusive interruption and everything was accurate. Our meals were delicious. The wine pairings were excellent suggestions and we enjoyed an unhurried meal. We are wine club members. I recommend the plan to you if you are able to do e here at least 6 times a year. We left with a corked bottle from our meal and two more from the store- all included. Highly recommend 👍👍👍👍👍 Parking is a challenge at times but take your time - don’t let that stress start your meal off on a bad foot. Thanks for our meal.
Azaliya is always wonderful taking care of us each time we are dining, we love the food and the Wine. Always is my spot to be back to Cooper Hawk ashburn
The food and the ambiance are always amazing at this location. Everyone we have encountered over the multiple times we have dined there, were kind and helpful. (Even when we messed up our reservation on a busy night!) The appetizers are tasty, our favorite being the bruschetta. Entrees are well thought out and taste the same every time. (Absolutely a good thing) We tried the lobster and shrimp bisque for the first time a few days ago and it was delicious!!! The complimentary pretzel bread they offer is unique and great also!
This place was great! Went here for a nice meal with family. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS and presented so beautifully. It was also a beautiful day so that was a plus. Definitely have to go back and try more things. There was just so much to choose from and all looked amazing. Service was nice, food amazing, ambience nice. All in all highly recommend!
My husband and I decided to dine here to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary and this restaurant went above and beyond our expectations. The food, atmosphere and service were all spectacular. Our waiter Averie had a warmth and charisma that was so inviting and refreshing to see. He went out of his way to make our evening feel special for us. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s looking for a luxurious dining experience. We will definitely be back!
Very happy and glad we “work cohorts” decided to eat at Cooper’ Hawk! I do not have much wine but has a glass of their name brand I and it was amazing, the food was delicious and unique. I would come back to Cooper’s anytime, and need to bring the wife for a date. Try it so you can get hooked.
I would go to Coopers hawk every week if possible. Tried every food item on the menu and everything is perfect. 100/100
UPDATE: Was there again last night service was EXCELLENT! Nicole at the bar for our wine tasting as well as Sebastian our server. Must try the drunken shrimp, the dumplings ate aslo delicious I had the Dana's parmesan crusted chicken which honestly was pretty blaned. I won't be ordering that again. Everything else was great and we'll be back soon! Excellent food (per usual). Great time out with friends. Yuri (our server) was fun and very accommodating. One of us was gluten free and another lives a very low carb life and they had no problems with special requests *I got broccoli instead of pasta with my dish. The wines are fabulous. I really love their sparkling blood orange and brought home a bottle.
Great food and service. My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary and after dinner they brought us some truffles which was nice. We had the filet and ribeye and both were amazing. For desert we had chocolate cake and the ice cream cookie and both were delicious.
I may be a little bias but this is the absolute best Cooper Hawk on the East Coast. The staff are simply amazing and they are always willing to go out of their way to provide you the best experience as possible.Food is excellent quality and always cooked to perfection. I truly enjoy my experience every time I go and can't wait till the next time. For me it's like my adult Disneyland.
Great establishment with a front of store winery and excellent restaurant too. We just dined but the food and service was commendable. Also, let my card and they immediately called. Highly recommend for all these reasons.
If you’re looking for an exceptional deliverance of customer service ask for Azalya when you visit Coopers Hawk in Ashburn. She’s fast, fun and friendly. The food is always fantastic , the drinks will have you stuck …literally, the atmosphere can be busy but relaxing as well with the dim lights after a long day. Always a night to remember when I dine in!
Celebrated my mom’s birthday here with family last night and had the best country rigatoni ever!!! The service was great as well. Maylin was so attentive and informative on the variety of wines available, it made me want to try all of them. I will be back very soon!
We had dinner at Cooper's Hawk last night. The food and atmosphere were wonderful. Topping it off, our server, Will, was outstanding. We look forward to coming back and hope Will will be our server again.
I love it here I have been going for a year and this is my favorite location, Marion was such a great wine tasting server definitely a night to remember thanks to her! ❤️
Had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was a great experience. Food was good. Service was excellent (Dawn was very attentive and helpful with recommendations). It was crowded but that did not diminish the experience—still got excellent service, wasn’t too noisy, didn’t feel rushed, etc. Highly recommend!!
My daughter had a party of 20 for her birthday dinner! The atmosphere was so aesthetic!!! She got great pictures! The food was chefs kiss! We will definitely be back! Last but not least our server Azalya was incredible. Our drinks never went empty, her memory was stellar, no one felt forgotten and her attitude was so pleasant. We enjoyed her kind of like she was apart of the party! We will definitely recommend to our community! Thank you for an incredible experience
I wanted to thank Cooper’s Hawk Ashburn for outstanding customer service in an age where I have found that most customer service is dead. I put in a pickup order for my family of 4 and did not realize an entire meal was missing until I unloaded the bag at home. I called the restaurant and the manager was so nice and said they were making a fresh meal, crediting my card for the full cost and even having a team member drop the meal at our house (and no Coopers Hawk does not do delivery, so this was truely going the extra mile). When we opened the bag they have also surprised us with truffles. Thank you Cooper’s Hawk Ashburn for your wonderful customer service (and always great food)!
As always, the food was amazing. It was the first time we had attended brunch. Our server Amaya was absolutely fabulous. I had questions regarding my membership and she went to check so she could give me the right answer. I love this restaurant so much, specially when you have such wonderful employees.
I've never had anything less than a wonderful experience at this Cooper's Hawk location. Every single meal and every single staff member is exceptional, and they really make us feel like family. Each of their managers bring high levels of care and skilled leadership, but Alex stands apart for his natural gift with his staff and patrons. It is evident that he loves what he does, and Cooper's Hawk is a better place for having him. He brings an unparalleled joy to the club members' monthly wine dinners - they are never the same when he's not there!
I recently dined at Cooper’s Hawk, and my experience was exceptional thanks my server, Samie. From the moment we were seated, Samie made me feel genuinely welcomed. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine pairings. She offered great recommendations, and every dish she suggested was absolutely delicious. I only had the potstickers, but Samie’s service elevated the entire experience. I want 100% recommend and making sure to ask for Samie as a server! Thank you
I absolutely loved my time at Coopers Hawk. I did the wine tasting and Cayley was helping us out. Cayley was very informed on every wine and even suggested one’s based on what I said I liked. I had a great time and will definitely be back again.
Last minute cancellation of Thanksgiving road trip had my wife and I seeking traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving morning. Marhie taking orders handled all (shout out to the manager). Only ding (they were packed for in person dinners too) was when I picked up there was no soup nor desserts. Caught th the souos on quick scan but forgot desserts so had to make another run back (it was provided with apologies). With so much food the cheesecakes are a perfect complement to second day (leftovers). All in all dinner for two (twice) at a reasonable (not chesp but quality ingredients) price. They do the badics perfectly. Wine is good too.
We had an incredible experience at Coopers Hawk thanks to our waitress Azayla. My churrasco steak was to die for, the desserts were incredible, and the wine pairings were to die for. Azayla was super attentive despite it being a very busy saturday night, and her dessert recommendations were spot on!
I’ve been coming to Cooper’s Hawk for years and it has always been one of my favorite restaurants. From the food to the wine to the welcoming atmosphere, every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The staff have always been warm and attentive (and my favorite part), but tonight truly stood out and reminded me just how special this place is. Kris (who was the server at the wine tasting bar), went above and beyond in every possible way. She was incredibly attentive, intuitive, and made me feel genuinely cared for throughout my visit. Her professionalism and compassion created an atmosphere of comfort and safety that I deeply appreciated. It’s rare to encounter someone who not only delivers exceptional service but also looks out for their guests in such a genuine and thoughtful way. Kris exemplifies the heart of what makes Cooper’s Hawk so special! Thank you to Kris and the entire Cooper’s Hawk team for continuing to make this feel like home and one of my favorite dining experiences year after year.
My fiancée and I came to Cooper’s Hawk to celebrate our anniversary, and everything was excellent. The food, the wine, and the atmosphere were all amazing. Our server, Maylin, took such great care of us, she was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our experience even more special. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place!
I had a wonderful experience at Cooper’s Hawk! The food and wine were amazing, but the highlight of my visit was our server, Maylin. She was incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made us feel truly welcomed. If you visit Cooper’s Hawk, definitely ask for Maylin — she’s amazing!
I recently tried the seasonal Crispy Barbacoa Arancini at Cooper’s Hawk in Ashburn and it was incredible! Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, with the most delicious layers of flavor. The seasonal menu here is always a treat. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
Love the wine (so much so that I have been a member for 4+ years). The food is always exceptional. My only complaint is that it is always busy in the evenings and hard to get in without a reservation.
First time here and the experience in the wine tasting was really good. Our dinner was ok, we ordered Carne asada flat bread (good), Churrasco with chimichurri and fries (not quite a chimichurri and the churrasco was good but not the same as the Uruguayan or Argentinian's and the vegetables were under cooked). The egg rolls, the short ribs, fish sandwiches were very good. Not much the gnocchi). The food took too long to be served. Overall, for being a fusion cuisine was acceptable. Nice service.
We got there around 4 before it got busy. Our server was not attentive at all. We ordered an appetizer that he never put in. And we had to wait awhile for refills on water. The food was good, but the service made it a little less than enjoyable.
Cooper’s Hawk is always one of our go to favorites especially the Ashburn location. This past Friday parking was difficult as the restaurant and wine bar was very crowded. We were seated in a small section off the main section. We quickly realized how lucky we were in our last visit with our server. This time Stephani had a few tables but we were shown to a table without cutlery, asked a few times for more napkins and finally a server (who were all great) brought some. No water refills…it was very average service except for the servers. The food itself was good. Pot stickers, drunken shrimp, bisque soup appetizers. Main course fish and chips and a churrasco steak that was good but very little vegetables served. Could have been more. Again servers great, food good, service average.
When we were seated, the booth still had trash and food all over it. There were gnats flying around at our table. We were given a booster seat with no straps instead of a high chair like we asked. Our waitress took a while to come around in the beginning until something was said. The food tasted great. Overall though, a very disappointing celebratory dinner.
Beautiful ambiance, the food is okay, definitely not worth what I paid though. The service was slow, had to ask three times before the waitress refilled the water glass, and my food was lukewarm when it finally came out. I won’t be going back.
Me and my family love Cooper’s hawk. We are regular customers but after tonight’s experience I don’t think we’ll be coming back soon. I had an 8PM reservation for 7 people and did not get seated until 845PM. Secondly, the table we were sat at was very small for the party. Our server was nice but not attentive, I had to clear the table myself and get up and grab silverware after our main meals were dropped off. Additionally, food was very slow to come out. My mom ordered steak medallions well done and they were served rare. Just very underwhelming, especially for the price that you pay.
What the heck. I'm not really sure what I experienced last night at Ashburn Cooper's Hawk but I definitely won't be back. The wait staff was all over the place and the kitchen was worse. We heard multiple tables near us complaining not just about the wait for food/desserts but also incorrect cooks on dishes. One couple sent their dishes back twice and it was so bad they got their meal comped. We didn't think anything of it at the time bc we wanted to form our own opinions. But I got my steak and it was so undercooked I could taste the rawness. A medium should have a hot pink center and it shouldn't taste or feel rare and cold like mine did. Not to mention at 45$ a plate I fully expect my shrimp to be deveined. I'm not squeamish and I've ate the poopchute before but COME ON at these prices y'all not DEVEINING properly??? Id also like to mention the 20 minutes it took for a to go order of a CAKE due to 'technical issues' ....I guess the microwave wasnt working? We took it to go and when we got home there massive finger divots into it as if someone picked it up and chucked it into the to go box. Sorry, I don't want finger cake. Whatever, Ashburn Cooper's Hawk is the Walmart of the Cooper's Hawk brand. The price isn't worth the wait for sure. I'd rather just go get a baconator than deal with that again.
All of the food we ordered ranged from decent to excellent. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow from start to finish--we were there for an hour and 45 minutes before we were able to finish eating. Then, the server mixed up our bill with another table's, and couldn't figure out how to resolve it. Making things worse, he seemed to ignore our requests for a manager. Eventually I went in myself to ask for one. Tony, the manager that came out, was very gracious and apologetic, and I appreciated the way he handled the situation. All in all, very good food but an otherwise frustrating experience.
We visited this restaurant last night to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and truly wanted to enjoy the evening—but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. We ordered the filet mignon, surf & turf, and jambalaya. The filet mignon was just okay. Our daughter seemed to enjoy it, but it was clearly not a high-quality cut. The jambalaya was particularly underwhelming—lacking both heat and flavor, and overloaded with rice. It felt unbalanced and not up to the standards this restaurant should aim for. The most disappointing dish was the surf & turf. The scallops were tiny, and instead of being the highlight, they were overwhelmed by a bed of bread croutons. It felt like filler more than a thoughtfully prepared entrée. We had specifically requested vegetables instead of mashed potatoes, but it still arrived with mashed potatoes, which was frustrating. Our waitress brought more vegetables later after we requested. Overall, there was nothing memorable or particularly special about the meal. The only good thing about this place was a cocktail we ordered. For a place we hoped would deliver a great birthday dinner, the experience was a letdown—especially when it comes to food quality and attention to detail.
Go somewhere else for dinner. This place may be great for a drink but my dinner was underwhelming. And not just mine but my whole table was unimpressed. All of our side dishes were undercooked. Plus the appetizer we ordered arrived at the table 2 minutes before the main dishes. The timing is not an exaggeration. The protein was well cooked but nothing special. Cooper, when you charge these rates your meals need to be close to perfect.
I am very appreciative of the management sending coupons to give the restaurant another try. I had a bad experience at the Reston location and decided to try Ashburn. I came in wanting to have a great experience, but again I was disappointed overall. Wine and food- The create-your-own-wine flight was amazing! This is something that you can't get at other restaurants in the area. This was a major plus. It allowed us to try 8 different wines and purchase a few bottles of our favorites. The food was so disappointing. The pistachio-crusted grouper absorbed the scent of everything in their refrigerator. It had a weird taste like it was left uncovered in their fridge for days. The Wasabi mashed potatoes were good but cold, and I would present them differently. They were scooped out like this was a high school cafeteria. My wife had the soy ginger salmon. Again the presentation wasn't very appealing. Their plates are too big, but I discovered something far worse. The sauce had formed a skin, was over-reduced, and was salty. Compare that picture to the new salmon and you can see the difference. The 2nd plating was also different. Why wouldn't you present and serve the best the first time? The second salmon was so much better. The sauce was fluid and you could taste the umami flavors. The salmon was buttery and crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. We had to go through two bad entrées to get to this good one. Service- It started slow. We were seated for approximately 12 minutes before we were greeted. He was very knowledgeable of the wines. I did have to get up to talk to him about the grouper which I sent back. There was another waiter who I spoke to first, but he didn't help at all. The gentleman did try to make things right and even gave us a complimentary dessert. He was empathetic and that goes a long way with me. I made sure I left him a large tip. I tried to give this restaurant a second chance, but I think this is the last time for my family. In northern va you have so much competition. The Great American Restaurants like Sweetwater Tavern and Coastal Flats are so consistent with their food and service. I think they are a little more casual, but still far better than Cooper's Hawk.
Very Disappointing. We used to come to Cooper's a lot. We were even a member of their wine club for a while. Honestly, I'm not sure if we'll ever go back again. Had a reservation for 2 people at 6:45pm. Arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation. The first flag was instead of being seated in the main dining room, we were seated in the bar area. If we wanted to be in the bar, we would not have made a reservation. It just kinda went downhill from there. It took forever for even just the water to come out. Our wine came out as we were going to cancel it due to the time. We weren't offered any 'pretzel bread' until we asked for it. Food came out timed poorly. Main courses (for just 2 people!) coming at different times. Food missing. Then food doubled as the staff appeared to try to address the timing issue. We just kept looking at each other like 'is this really happening for a meal that is going to cost us over $100?'. We just wanted a nice dinner in a nice atmosphere at the end of a long week, and that didn't happen. At all. So, yeah, honestly, not planning on going back, and not planning on recommending any more.
I remember when that place was worth going to! Let's jump right in, shall we? Woefully inept and unmotivated waitstaff. They do NOT check you table for refills or table clearings. Drink orders are brought out 15-20 minutes later in a largely empty midday establishment. Customers are unnecessarily corralled together around dozens empty tables and booths, seated so you are literally IN your neighbors' conversations... when you don't have to be! The wine club-pitch is incessant, so much so that I wasn't allowed to buy a specialty drink (Bees Knees - admittedly a good, fun drink) without joining. Problem is... I bought two bottles just days early for a friend as a walk-in, WITH OUT THE CLUB MEMBERSHIP. The menu hasn't changed in MONTHS. That place banks on the hope that you'll not explore competitive, much more inviting wineries in the area, it being conveniently located off 7 in Ashburn as its only saving grace at this point. Lastly, thanks for cranking up the AC on a 40-degree day and the dangerously effective food poisoning from the lobster bisque. If you're reading this and still go, even if you've had positives experiences in the past, and get a sliver of this dining-nightmare, please understand... this is their new standard. You've been warned.
Loved the food. There was a blonde hostess who i stood in front of for a solid minute. I said hello like 5 times. I waved my hand. Her coworker said "hey, she said hello to you." She was on the phone the whole time and completely ignored me. I made a point of moving to the hostess next to her that WAS paying attention, took me to my table and helped me. For management's reference the reservation was at 8:15 and the day was 1/09. Please talk to whoever was at the host desk that day at that time bc fr, if I were her manager, she would have been immediately fired. Ive worked service jobs that were draining, but if you're stood there working, you should work. I get thinking that you can do whatever and still get paid, but seriously. It's only 2 stars instead of 1 because although it took 5 years to get all our stuff, the waitress was super kind and helpful. So yeah ig if you're willing to pay for mostly really horrible service and food that takes approximately 2 hours to get from the waiters pad to your table, then by all means, this is your place :)
We had a very mixed experience at Cooper’s Hawk. The front-of-house was excellent, we were greeted promptly, seated in under 10 minutes, and accommodated with a booth as requested. Unfortunately, the service and meal pacing fell apart after that. Bread didn’t arrive until about 20 minutes in and only after we asked. Appetizers came out quickly, but our main courses followed almost immediately before we were halfway through the appetizers. Drinks also took an unusually long time. Food runners were abrupt, placing dishes aggressively and leaving without acknowledgment. One entrée (the pretzel-breaded pork chop) was extremely disappointing… dry, flavorless, poorly presented, and did not resemble a pretzel crust. When this was brought to our server’s attention, the plate remained on the table for 10–15 minutes, no replacement was offered, and no manager checked in. Several menu items were also unavailable. Appetizers were refunded, but one guest was left without a meal, which was especially frustrating during a holiday dinner. Overall, we expected a much higher level of service and execution.
