The most authentic Greek place I’ve been in Astoria (and I’ve been here for almost twenty years, so that says something!) don’t know why it took me so long to get here but I’m glad I’ve made it. Unpretentious and most delicious traditional Greek dishes. They also give you super yummy custard dessert for free in the end. Thank you our waiter Michael for wonderful service. We will definitely be regulars from now on.

From the moment we walked into Stomata’s, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere was absolutely incredible—warm, inviting, and full of vibrant energy. The ambiance alone sets the tone for a perfect night out, whether you’re with friends, on a date, or just enjoying good food in a great setting. Now let’s talk about the food—every bite was a masterpiece. You can truly taste the care and quality in every dish. From the appetizers to the entrees, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s the kind of meal that makes you stop mid-conversation just to savor the moment. But what made the experience truly unforgettable was our server, Niko. Hands down, the best in the world. Niko was not only attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, but also brought such a genuine, friendly vibe that elevated our entire night. He made us feel like VIPs, and it’s clear he loves what he does. If you haven’t been to Stomata’s yet, you’re seriously missing out. 10/10—can’t wait to come back!

Their grilled octopus is perfectly grilled and certainly tasty😋😋😋. My guests ordered the exact same dish and enjoyed it. The rice that went with the grilled octopus entree looked appetizing. Their huge beans with tomatoes were delicious😋. So was the complimentary bread and dessert😋. Too bad that I forgot to take pictures of our grilled octopus, rice and beans.

This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Queens. A quick walk past the kitchen and the friendly staff on the grill upon entry and you are already excited about what’s to come. Service is attentive and they offer you a lot of help with the menu if needed. I noticed the table next to me was sharing a bottle of ouzo. They noticed me looking and gladly offered me some. It was a great experience. Keep in mind they can get busy on the weekends and on holidays.

Incredible dinner. We tried a lot of dishes - Greek Salad, papoutsaki (eggplant), octopus, grape leaves, tzatziki, etc. - and they were all delicious. The staff was super friendly and helped us with recommendations on what to eat. Good outdoor seating too. Definitely want to come back!

we had lunch with my business partner from Switzerland and I at the Stamatis restaurant, I have been there several times and I was always pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the taste that reminded me of the Greece that I experienced as a child. However, yesterday when we asked for the bill, we received the bill for $185, which is fine, and I gave a 20% tip, but in that restaurant, the restaurant calculates the tip on the bill because they know that we are not locals, so I paid more than $65 for the sum. from $156, which is certainly not right, for anyone and especially for guests who often come there and recommend that restaurant, and in this case it's me!

The food that we ordered was delicious. It all came out quick and at the same time. Our waiter was great. Staff is so friendly and professional. My only negative comment is about the filet of sole. It was a bit overdone and oily. Try it for yourself and post what you think.

Very authentic Greek restaurant. The atmosphere of this restaurant felt like I was in one of my relatives home. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Food was great, everything was cook to perfection. The Pork souvlaki was amazing, the portion is big enough for two people. Lamb chops were perfect, super tasty. Price is on the pricier end but with the service and taste it is worth it. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Decent quality food with decent prices. If you’re looking for a full authentic menu without all the fussy ambiance, this will suit well. The front entrance sells food to go as well as fish. There seems to be a pretty big following, looks like the place has a nice history in Astoria. It’s definitely loud and the atmosphere seems like a vintage Greek diner/restaurant. Bathroom def need updating (lol, I would never bring that up but the hand dryer was RIGHT above the men’s stall!). This place is good for a quick bite or hearty meal but I’m not going there for a special occasion.
