2nd time going here, and even though I never rate and review this early on new places for me. I felt I had to. 3 things: they have a live juke box(rare to find now) with a great selection, a very good vibe, and fairly priced drinks. Update 21’: I’m proud to say, I’ve gone here at least one more time since then. And just as I felt about it back then leaving. I feel just the same now whenever I leave. That’s special.

Benders is the opidamy of a "local Austin dive bar". It's owned by two bartenders who own other successful similarly themed bars around Austin. Cheap drinks, great beer and liquor selections, and most importantly supurb service. Great job guys keep it up!!!

The Austin burger was incredible. Instead of fries you can get a spinach salad with goat cheese and bacon, uh yeah! Nice selection of local breweries (e.g. Strange Land, Austin Beer Works, Thirsty Planet). Sportsball on one TV and LOTR on the other, gotta love it. Music mix of metal and country, something for everyone. Servers friendly and helpful. Pulling up/walking in, you'll see it's dark and divey. Don't let that stop you. 🍻

Used to come here all the time and recently returned. Definitely feels and smells like a 6th street bar these days. The service and food and still great though.

Hard to get someone on the phone..show up, only 6 people in the building..3 of them employees..Ordered 15 wings and fries and 1 beer. $50. No problem, ill check my food before I head home..bag tied into a tight knot..no worries I love this place, surely it's all there..and it was.. but celery was old and translucent...Bleu cheese tasted like water and fries were rock hard.. OK not worth $50 anymore.. Used to be my go to spot for food..huge bummer...I'll try again next time.

A good neighborhood bar. Had the wings and fries. Folks raved about their wings which is why I went to check it out. They were good and meaty but nothing outstanding. Just good solid bar food. Their only option on the menu for the wings is an order of 5 for $7.99. Too small of a portion for their menu. You can order an additional 5 for $6 more. So 10 wings for $14 is a bit on the pricey side for a neighborhood bar IMO. They do have a special on wings on Tuesday that might be worth a visit, but I wouldn't go back on a normally priced day. Fries were over cooked too. Staff was really cool though and the place had a good vibe. Outside patio in the back was nice too.

Case Report: My girl and I visited Bender Bar for the first time. Upon arrival, security was polite and welcoming. Once inside, we waited a bit before the bartenders acknowledged us, but service picked up afterward. We ordered drinks and headed to the patio, where we purchased several songs on the jukebox — including tracks by Future, Jeremih, and Snoop Dogg. Later, we bought four more hip-hop songs, enjoying about 14 total before calling it a night. The next day, I checked the TouchTunes app and noticed that every song we played — along with a large portion of the hip-hop catalog — had been removed from Bender’s playlist. Don’t come here. They will end your song on touch tunes if they don’t like it. Absolutely disgusting…I understand having a vibe…then don’t allow free autonomy of music with touch tunes. I lost money because of this.
