Best decision to have dinner here. Everything we ordered was yumm.. Lamb chops: the best lamb chops I ever had! Salmon and beef was amazing as well. They were pretty generous with us, the cook threw in a salad too which was again super tasty and there was bread n butter made inhouse that was fresh and amazing. The ambiance The girl who served us was so friendly and helping us pick what to eat and all.. really nice experience Location is great too. It's nesting in middle of bars and clubbing area. A must go place! I think the cook rocks Whatever they will cook would be super tasty!
I was raised in a small town. This brought my city life and country life together. Comfort food that is satisfying but not making me feel stuffed. Gorgeous atmosphere great place to hold a conversation with people you cherish.
My husband and I came here for Happy Hour and we're currently asking ourselves WHY did we wait so long??!! Sunday-Friday you can get 1/2off select cocktails, beers and foods and the menu is pretty inclusive of what they offer!! To be honest I'm confused on why the ratings at Parkside are so low. In our first time experience here everything was super yummy and the service was also fabulous! Nico was incredibly attentive and did a fantastic job in his recommendations! We ordered every food item off their happy hour menu and while it was all tasty the standouts were definitely the fresh oysters, 7oz burger, the ceviche (was salmon and bass) and the tartare! The egg sandwich was also really tasty, the crab fritters were tasty, but much lighter and airy than expected. The subbed the fries for the grilled sweet potato and holy crap that dish was a game changer!!! Off the regular menu we ordered the lamb pastrami ribs which were very tasty and tender with a nice crisp. We couldn't finish without dessert and are so glad that we got the candy bar dessert! You can't go wrong with anything here and definitely gotta come back for dinner! Do yourself a favor and be sure to check them out ASAP!
Great food. I had salmon and fries. Lol it's a bad habit. Eat healthy but can't pass up the fries here. Cake was good too.
Such a treat! Parkside happy hour selections are fantastic! We were there to celebrate a birthday and were comped lamb ribs and dessert. Thank you for the generosity, we look forward to returning!
This was a work related gathering and the place did impress. The food was outstanding, the service was also very on point, and the atmosphere was pretty good, butnthe diningbwas segmented and small. The parking was disastrous.
This place was amazing. It wasn’t crowded for a Saturday evening, perfect location on 6th street. The food and cocktails were the best we’ve had in a long time. Cucumber & tomato salad 👌🏼, French fries 💣 For cocktails we had old fashioneds and Rockford Peaches!!!! Would highly recommend!
There wasn't a single thing on the menu (from the 10 dishes tried) that we didn't like. Each menu item was done quite well. I really enjoyed the striped bass, Cod, and chocolate dessert the most!
A great spot. Food was delicious. We had the bacon cheeseburger, tri tip, butter lettuce salad, and a side of mac n cheese. Anthony took great care of us at the bar! Bonus is the happy hour until 6p on the weekdays!
Happy hour offers the best drink and food prices! I reccomend everything on the happy hour menu we tried everything! And the pretzel a few times! Martinis were excellent! And so was our service!
My wife and I found this place on our walk back from our hotel. We were greeted with amazing customer service and sat promptly at their bar, as requested. The service was some of the best I’ve had. They had a fantastic authentic gumbo special and the oysters were delicious. At the end, they let us sample their king cake! Jill was fanatic behind the bar. Everyone in the restaurant appeared to have been having just as much fun as well. Highly recommend and we plan on returning there to eat before our trip ends!
6th St post Thanksgiving was a delight! Quieter than usual, we were thrilled to find Parkside. Sat at the bar & it was perfect!! Their Happy Hour from 5-6 was AWESOME! Half off all drinks & 4 of their top selling appies was perfect! Nico was behind the bar: Friendly, professional & gave the perfect suggestion for my palate. My husband loved his Oysters & Lamb with the WA Hedges Cab & Still Rye from Austin & I ADORED my Austrian Buchegger Riesling with the Ceviche. Fresh, balanced & tasty... we'll definitely be back.
Eureka! Is Right! This place is Amazing! Incredible Food, a Drink Menu with many Unique Options, Including Mocktails. We got the Tipsy Pig Old Fashioned (pictured) and and couple of the House Beers. The Burgers were HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by our Server, Lorena. Who was great at every part of her job. I enjoyed the Burger but will definitely try the Reuben my next time here. Which won't be long. I can't wait to come back with some friends. Both my wife and I were impressed by the presentation here. A must visit on 6th Street.
Eureka. Lake took fabulous care of us and also gave us some directions of what to do around town. I love this guy‘s personality. He was awesome. We ordered the bison burger. It was cooked perfect and had a big jam and caramelized onions on it. I didn’t want seed oil french fries so I ended up getting Caesar salad and it was delicious. I WOULD RECOMMEND
If you’re craving a seriously good burger in Austin, Eureka! is the spot. The burgers here are next level juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was packed with bold, fresh flavors that totally hit the spot. The vibe is modern and laid-back, with great service and a solid menu beyond burgers too. But honestly? The burger alone is worth the visit. ⭐️ A must for burger lovers you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
I really liked this spot! I was looking for a place to grab dinner with my family. I found this place on Google and made a reservation. There was no wait time, service was excellent, and the inside of the place is nice and clean. We went on a Saturday evening, and this lady came up and started performing, which was awesome too! For food, my son got chicken strips and French fries, of course! My girl got a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and I took a bite, and it was delicious. The truffle fries were on point as well. I got Fish and Chips (risky, I know), but it was fantastic. Our drinks were good, and they had a great selection. Price-wise, it was what you would expect—standard prices for a nice restaurant bar establishment. Overall, this place gets 10/10. I highly recommend it. I'll be going back for sure.
None of us had ever been to this restaurant, so we were looking forward to checking it out. We went on a Thursday after lunch and before dinner, so only a few people were there. Our waitress was kind, funny, and attentive. We had a window seat and I loved that it was wide open! We had a good time joking with the people outside walking by, not to mention it was a great spot for people watching! Oh yeah, and the food…the reason we were there in the first place😄, it did not disappoint! Everything looked and smelled delicious. Each dish was nicely presented and super tasty. Overall, a great experience! This will now be one of my favorite places to visit whenever I’m in Austin.
Valeria was awesome! Gave great recommendations, was attentive, and thoughtful. We truly appreciated her vibe! This spot has live music, is medium loud, and the food was out of this world! The following burgers were the ones we tried and loved: *The Bison *BBQ Bacon *Eureka American *Spicy Fried Chicken *Wings: Firecracker & BBQ Dry Rub The only downside is parking. They’re on 6th street so plan ahead or use a ride share.
The boys and I came here with an appetite. Wanted to try something new, and this place delivered! The loaded nachos were indeed loaded, the burgers were as well. Spend the money and get the truffle fries if you want a slightly elevated flavor. But the highlight for me was the pastrami quesadilla. Perfect umami flavor with a tinge of spice from the sauce. Absolute banger. Looking forward to coming back.
Fantastic whiskey selection, must stop if you're interested in trying out some flights. Meals was seasoned perfectly and very fresh, one of the few times where eating out didn't feel like junk food. Service was also great, our server did a good job recommending dishes and checking up on us frequently. Just an awesome experience if you want a fancy dinner in downtown.

The brussels sprouts were out of this world. I normally don't love them but these were by far the best ones I've had. The truffle parm fries were money too!

We went there on a Sunday night, so not as busy as other nights when we walked by. Great burgers and fries. Had Bloody Marys that were delicious. Great staff.
Awesome happy hour deals! Sun-Fri 5-6 PM 1/2 off cocktails, beer, wine glasses; 1/2 off select menu items (east coast oysters, beef tartare, ceviche, crab fritters, USDA prime bacon cheeseburger). Greta ambiance. Downtown street parking. We especially liked the cheeseburger, crab fritters, and beef tartare. Outside of the happy hour menu, I recommend the endive salad (so good with apples, nuts, and dressing) and caramel pear tart for dessert.
Tried Parkside for dinner on East 6th and it’s a good pick if you want something a little nicer but still relaxed. The raw bar is the move here—oysters were fresh and the mignonette options made it fun to mix things up. Cocktails were solid, and the dining room has that brick-and-wood downtown vibe that works for a date or catching up with friends.
No wait for us, there were two barstools available, otherwise it would have been about 25 minutes. The food was very good, the service from the bartender was good. I left no additional tip, due to the 20% service fee added to the bill. I hope that goes into the tip pool, if not, do better by your servers and customers. The prices are high enough, 20% service fee is defeating the purpose, if it is a tip...I would have left more than that, if not forced to pay it.
I finally tried this place after having it on my list for so long. Came on 1 January, and it was quite empty. The vibe here was great, our server Alyssa was incredible, and the food was really good as well. The only thing bringing down the rating was the portion size. Definitely expected something a little more filling. We both got a burger and they were pretty small. Other than that, great experience!
I was disappointed in a menu item that was no longer available the server made some suggestions. My husband enjoyed his sandwich I thought the chicken was really chargrilled. I did not get the truffle fries the regular ones were good. The Mac and cheese balls was okay. My husband asked for salt and pepper for his. He enjoyed his whisky flight.
Eureka! Is a burger bar. The bar is classier than most on 5th street: a shiny copper backdrop to the pull-up chairs at the bar, Texas chandeliers (made from deer antlers), upscale cool photos on the wall up the ramp to the bathrooms. The heat waves on the sidewalk outside sharply contrasted with the unflappable but friendly phlegmata-chill of the staff. My doublesmash burger was uneventful. Excellent bun - cloud soft almost creamy! The SweetSour pickles must have been the source of the jalaburn that was the most notable feature. Smashburger had the requisite burger burnt ends flavor. Not enough capcacin to startle a diner's chill but be informed before you order. A wealth of cocktail choices that didn't jive with my back to work lunch plans. The Eureka! Burger was also good - solid and meaty. The lunch special is a great deal.
Rating: 4.4/5 [dine in] We came in for a late-night weekday dinner during happy hour (Monday-Friday: 3-6 PM, 9-11 PM; food only after 11 PM). My husband had his eye on the 28-day dry-aged bone marrow (limited availability), but unfortunately they were out, so we both opted for burgers instead. Our food and drinks came out fairly quick, and we were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. For a chain restaurant, the quality was impressive, especially the drinks, which had a craft cocktail feel and exceeded our expectations. Eureka! American Burger ($17.75 regular | $13 happy hour): Comes with your choice of side--I picked the arugula salad. The burger includes American Swiss cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, house pickles, and special sauce. I ordered the patty medium rare, though it leaned closer to medium. Still, it was tasty and paired well with the arugula salad. Bison Burger ($21 + $3 upgraded side): He went with the honey-cinnamon sweet potato fries which were delicious. The burger is topped with charred red bell pepper, bacon-infused jalapeño jam, smoked mozzarella, and whiskey caramelized onions. He ordered his bison patty medium rare and loved it. The flavor of the bison was bold and distinct—too strong for my taste, but perfect for him. Campfire! ($17.25): This cocktail includes Buffalo Trace bourbon, graham cracker syrup, Amaro Montenegro, cinnamon, chocolate bitters, and hickory smoke, topped with a roasted marshmallow. The presentation was a fun surprise - they served the drink in a corked bottle filled with smoke alongside a glass with a large ice cube and the marshmallow garnish. As you pour, the smoke infuses the drink. Despite all that, it wasn't overly bold or sweet. It was superb, especially when you take a bite of marshmallow with each sip. Headhunter King ($16.75): Served in fun Tiki glassware, this cocktail is made with Jamaican rum, macadamia nut, lime, pineapple, orgeat, and falernum. It was tasty, refreshing, and well-balanced.

Great menu and choice. service was brilliant and our server was very friendly and informative about the menu. service was quick and meals were good.
Some of the food here was hit and miss. The macaroni lacked flavor. The squash and salmon were really fantastic. However, compared to other reviews and photos I saw. The portions for the entrees given to us were a lot smaller on Valentine’s Day for the same price. That was a let down. Also while everyone was nice, we were seated very closely to other people. All in all, based on my experience it seemed this business is more interested in turning tables and serving less portions for the same prices. Don’t think I’d return.
Fancy Dining here so it's definitely kind of pricey but some dishes are nice. If you ever decide to dine here, you can get the following: Beef Tartare - It's interesting how they added a tortilla chip as the base. Gives a good crunch to the raw beef Marinated Pork Blade Steak - Found this very tender and filling. Something you can savor. Some things to avoid: Corn - Totally not worth it and hard to eat Lamb Pastrami Ribs - They made it a bit too salty and meat is slightly tough
I really want to love this place so I keep giving it second chances. Main complaint: the nachos have almost no cheese. Thought this might be a fluke so tried again, same problem. Tried a third time, told them there wasn't enough cheese last time so please put extra on for me: still barely any cheese, though more than the first two times. More like bean dip than nachos. The first time I went, they cooked the burger at medium when I asked for medium rare. Was still pretty good though; the burgers are solid if not mind-blowing. Last time, I asked for medium egg, got hard/fried.
Great location but I feel like quality has decreased in the past few years. This past time I went, I ordered my usual bone marrow burger. Good burger but the salad was pretty sad. It looked like the chef gathered what he was trying to get rid of, cut it up, and added it to the salad. The truffle fries were pretty good. I like that the cheese sauce is on the side so fries don’t get soggy. The short rib was good too flavor wise. For texture though, it was monotonous. It’s a braised piece of beef which is soft on top of soft red peppers and soft spinach. It needed something with texture and some acidity too. The Gingerbread cocktail was cute but didn’t really stand out to me. I like the gingerbread man ice but nothing made the drink special. It tasted good but it could’ve been any old-fashioned. Service was eh. Our waiter was not mean but he wasn’t the friendliest. I feel like when you’re in hospitality, you gotta turn it up even if you don’t feel like being there.

Stopped here ended with drinks and appetizer. Very loud and service was not that great. Did not like appetizer- not good flavor. Music was super loud although good skill. Decided not to stay.
Super disappointing Valentine’s experience. We chose Parkside because we recently rented the event space upstairs for our wedding, and were truly blown away. I’m not sure where the lines got blurred, but our recent dinner experience was everything but smooth. Our 6:30 reservation was not honored, we finally managed a table about 30 minutes after that. Once seated, it took about 20 minutes to get seen. Thankfully my husband managed to order me a drink from the bar. Once our server came around, we put in our complete order from the Valentine’s menu. We received our oysters about an hour after seating and nothing else. The server never came around again, no management came to speak to us, we never even had the opportunity to know what was going on. After voicing this to a person running food, she simply dismissed our concern and told us the restaurant would cover our oysters. No hospitality, resolution or explanation. Mind-blowing bummer.
Slightly subpar bar food mostly. The apps the waiter suggested like truffle fries and deep fried dill pickles were a miss at our table. We left almost everything half eaten. Burgers were cooked fine. Protein bowl was... fine. No one expressed open satisfaction in a group of eight. The place was pretty empty at 7:00 and you could feel the struggle.
Our reservation was at 730pm and we arrived at 710pm. Got seated fairly quickly then it took awhile for someone to take our drink order. Another 20 mins goes by and finally someone takes our order. Afterwards they tried 3 separate tikes to brings us other people orders. Our food arrives after the 2 couples seated after us already had their food. My wife's food came 10 minute before my steak. When my steak arrived almpst blue rare(ordered medium) I was done and ready to leave. Food arrived an hour after we first checked in. Other only table we could find last minute on Valentines Day was at a Saltgrass location and ended up have a great time there.
I got the lamb ribs and I didn’t like the sauce on top. It was too herb taste So if you don’t like intense herb flavor ask the sauce on the side. I ordered the salmon and it came with a green sauce and I didn’t like it either and the salmon didn’t even had salt or pepper it was plain . The worst part was to wait for our food 1 hour 30 min.
