I went during their soft opening. I would say they were well staff and properly trained and organized. There were enough people at each station. They have a TV screen that shows you when your order is ready to be picked up. The pick up station has a number system. Service is 5/5. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Drinks price range from $5 -$8 Atmosphere is great and the place is well decorated. There isn't enough chairs and tables to sit down and enjoy their drinks, but that's okay since their enough sitting area outside the store. Expect the wait time to be around 30-40 minutes. The line moves pretty quickly and the also gave out free merchandise since it was their soft opening. Overall, well done looking for to coming back again. Definitely worth the hype!

The teas are good, simply strong delicious teas! But the Service is above and beyond! my husband and I discovered Chagee in China when we traveled there last year and was looking for it to open its store here in CA, USA. So glad it’s expanding everywhere as we have to drive 20 miles for the teas right now. Please KEEP UP WITH THE QUALITY AND THE EXCELLENT SERVICE! You will make it here and all over the world! I'm confused why the rating is so low when its better than most Starbucks and boba shops. This place serves great tea with fast service. The bags and cups are high quality. Everything is nice and clean. Definitely coming back here whenever we go to Brea mall.

The staff were helpful as it was our first time and we got our order in rather quickly. Immediately after we noticed how there was no room to sit and barely any room to stand to wait for your drink. We quickly asked a server what the expected wait time was and after checking with her team, so told us 45 minutes. That is absolutely bonkers for a tea drink. We took it as a sign to continue entertaining ourselves through the rest of the mall while we waited. In the end they notified us via our mobile phone after about 40 minutes. The tea itself was solid and had a very strong tea flavor and the flavor we chose was not overwhelming. I liked that they put the nutritional facts on the label of the drink. That’s a nifty addition. I might give them another go when the hype dies down, but 40 minutes is insane.

Service was great, people who we spoke to over the counter was very helpful and friendly. We ordered the peach oolong latte and the chagee daydream. The peach oolong was bland, not sweet(even at regular sweetness) and the taste of the tea was not strong at all. But, the chagee daydream was delicious. The amber tea mixed with caramel into a smoothie was just amazing. Would definitely go back for this drink again.

this place alwayssss has a line so i was excited to finally try it out today! i got the peach oolong tea latte. maybe my expectations were too high because the tea wasn't as strong as i thought it was going to be. since this is a teahouse, i was expecting really strong tea. i tried it as soon as it came out, but the tea flavor was so subtle. although, the peach notes in this very fragrant, the tea itself was a little too bland and watered down for my liking. don't think i would purchase again at this price point.

Have had good experiences here before today, but seems that they are inconsistent. I ordered on the mobile app today at 10:00, and it said 54 minute wait, and it ended up being a 2 hour wait. Then after picking up the drinks one of them was made with the wrong tea. It seemed so chaotic in the shop, there’s no point in going back to get it fixed. But waiting for 2 hours and then getting the wrong tea is not good. In the photo I have 2 orders exactly the same, but the tea is wrong for one as you can tell by the colour. The tea tastes amazing, I just wish the wait wasn’t so long & they were consistent.

The tea itself is good. However, the ordering experience was very disappointing. The cashier appeared unfamiliar with the system, and her voice was extremely low, making communication difficult and slowing down the entire process. This resulted in an unnecessarily long line. It honestly felt like the slow order processing was being used to intentionally create the appearance of a busy store and high demand. This kind of operation negatively affects the customer experience. I strongly suggest improving staff training and opening an additional cashier counter to ensure efficient service, rather than creating artificial delays.

This famous worldwide boba place is located inside brea mall. The store is on the 1st level near jc pennys right next to the apple store and tumi. There’s also a starbucks nearby and an elevator. Store setting is kind of weird, with the counter near the entrance and there is a pillar that stands out in the front. You walk into the store from the left side of the pillar and if you want to order something, go to the right of the pillar and thats where the order line is. Imagine you have tons of customers, the line will extend it out to outside of tumi since there are much space from the start of the line to the store entrance. I’m a big milk tea fan and they don’t have any milk teas. They have “tea latte” which its actually a kind of milk teas. I’m not sure why this store doesn’t have milk teas or if they substitute tea latte with milk tea but this is a bad idea. If you dont have milk teas in your menu as one of the options then you are missing alot of businesses. If you substitute milk teas with tea latte, thats another bad thing because its totally different taste and customers like myself that enjoy milk teas will definitely taste the different. While some people don’t mind but this is where I gave this store a lower rating since the so called tea latte tastes “yuck”. I read the reviews from other fellow customers and they also have similar weird taste feedback. Also, one more thing that this boba shop lack of is boba. This is not THEIR fault ( i assume the owner is a franchise owner ) because all chagee doesn’t offer boba. Sorry this is not up to par with the chainstore and can’t compete with other popular boba place in LA or orange county. A-lot of people came here for the hype but once it dies down, people who love boba store will not come often. And the you have your employees 3-4 sitting and chatting outside where the seating area is. Not saying their cannot rest but it looks more like you want your store to look more pack or create a sense to outside people walking past the store that there is customers in there and its busy. Humm…it looks weird like that. Service is good though, the server that took my order and the barista that gave me the drink. Thank you so much! Highly not recommend this place.

Disaster experience. 1. They don't have any order notification system via messages etc. 2. The wait time is 40 mins for a single cup, not counting the wait line time. 3. They got the sugar level, ice level, milk type ALL completely WRONG. Catastrophic system. Not recommended to anyone.

We came here specifically for drinks and arrived at 7:58 PM. There were still multiple people in line and the store was still taking orders. But a female staff member with blue hair quietly told the guy who always takes our orders not to take my order, and then kept saying “we close, we close” even though there was still a minute left. A regular customer next to me (who comes almost every day) even said I should be able to order and mentioned this female staff with blue hair often been so mean to customers. I’m also has a membership here, so this was especially disappointing. Unfair and unprofessional.

This shop is a joke, in what world do you not allow a drink to be ordered without ice? Also, having guests wait over 3 hours for tea on an opening weekend is not worth it. No Chagee tea is ever worth a 2 hour line as if it is Disneyland or something.
