the service was impeccable!! i had a very nice young lady named keira help me on friday. she took her time to help me out with the menu. her smile made me feel very comfortable. considering i’m new to the area. the food was amazing the wonderful employee suggested i try the salted caramel cookie, it was amazing. i will definitely be coming back.

Went in for the Tuesday chicken tender deal tonight, plus we ordered sides and drinks.Chicken tenders were so salty could not get a second bite down . Took them back up to the counter to let them know we couldn't eat them. Staff apologized and offered us to try tenders from a different batch. Manager Maddy came over to see if it was any better , they were still salty. She was so apologetic. She refunded our money and comped our individual chicken dinners. Said she was sorry about the salty tenders and wanted us to come back. The whole staff was great and we will certainly be back . Thank you Maddy and your staff for such Awesome customer service.

One day, I came in having a bad day because my ex girlfriend broke up with me. I came to the counter and was greeted by your amazing worker Aaliyah. I gave her my order and within the next 30 seconds she gave me my food. She seen me sad and talked to me about it making me see the bright side of things. I tried a White Chocolate and Macadamia Nut Cookie for the first time the other day and Loved It!!!!! They make the Best Fried Chicken to Me!!!!

This place is amazing. Before they got their new owner, the chicken was dry and had zero sides available. Now, after they get their new owner, the chicken is juicy. They have every side at any time of day, and just overall the workers are held to a higher standard.

We all but stopped going to Bush's chicken because they stopped putting prices on the menu, but the more recent use of bible verses on marquee sign caused us to stop by again, then to our surprise, the prices were back up and "God is Love" signs were in the windows! Kudos to the knew owners! We appreciate you!

Appreciate the service given to our team on the way to the state archery competition in Belton. Thanks to the manager, because of a HUGE issue with another restaurant, because he helped us out with 17 meals. I have always loved the Bush's chicken tenders and these did not disappoint!

I've never been to a bad Bush's. They are quick, friendly, and have consistency in their food across stores. Tender Tuesdays are a little addictive.

I ordered 10 peace all dark and they first said they couldn't do all dark when i told her i would not come back if she gave me mix she came back out and said it would be a 15 minute wait.by the time the girl rang it up the chicken was done. Very good service there.

First time I went it was very busy. I was afraid I'd have to wait a while, cold food, etc. However, the order was filled quickly. The food was also very good. There were no problems with the food or the order. Everything was very tasty.

Great fried chicken tenders. If you're from out of town you gotta try it. Don't forget the serendipity seasoning. If you're from up North, go easy on the gravy. It's nice and heavy.

They were really busy and had just had a rush so with our order they said it would be about a 15 minute wait but they were fine with us leaving to go fill up the truck and coming back. Worked out great. Got our food when we got back and took it with us as the dining room wasn't open and we all enjoyed our order.

I'm dated amazing considering it was a party of 12 or more. Got our food out within 10 minutes including three gender Tuesdays and six family sites two gallons of tea and some ice. Not including all of our little extras! She was a friendly and courteous, and asked if there was anything else that we needed even after she had gotten our money and her tip. I will continue to go back because of the service! Good job bushes.

On most occasions this place is pretty awesome. Great comfort food. Large quantities. Decent selection. FAST (please don’t forget to tip your runner). My last visit was very late as they were closing up and an item was left off that I had paid for. I should’ve gotten there earlier. I know if I had called they would’ve made it good and more so. All in all? Usually a 5 for fast, fun & filling.

I'm visiting my best friend from another state and she's told me so much about how good the chicken liver is at Bush's, I have stopped in twice first time granted it was about 30 mins to closing but the liver I had was extremely hard and I ordered mashed potatoes which I did not get, I did not let that keep me from giving them another try so I went and yesterday afternoon ordered the same thing requested my livers to be cooked fresh and hot, got them went back to my hotel that's only 2 miles away when I went to eat my livers was disgusting, cold and not fit to eat

Most of the food was mushy and under fried. The corn nuggets were amazing, but the bland chicken and fries were only made good by the seasoning packets

Food was mostly good, except for the macaroni and cheese. Looked and tasted watery, like not enough water got drained making the macaroni. I also got chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and rolls, all if which were adequate for being fast food. If I would have known the price before ordering, I would have left. But that's on me for not asking.

Neither service or food is great. We go here simply to keep from starving. For better service or food visit the Bushs on either W. Adams or 121 AKA Lake Rd, both of which are just down the street from this location.

ok so here's the deal...You are either going to freaking love the fact that its NOT KFC or you will hate it. I sadly enough, hated it. give me a KFC any day of the week. The chicken here was bland, and i found the whole drive thru but not a drive thru confusing. I guess it works for Central Texas. I however, should have passed.

Chicken strips were overcooked and rubbery. Not like that the last time I ate there. They need to watch their timers better on their fryers... Or not leave the food under heat lamps so long that they continue to cook. Canes gets it right.. it isn't that hard!

I love Bush chicken if only me and my husband can find the one that was so awesome. This one was terrible food. The customer service was great. There was about to be a fight. We were on a business trip and seen this. Awful!!! But it wasn't BUSH fault for the fight. But the food was the problem. Very greasy and not cooked all the way. To many young people. They need there jobs I get it. But put the effort in your job like you do when you get your nails and hair done. You care alot.!! (Message)!!!!!

I really like their chicken, okra, tea, fries and gravy and my parents pick it up quite often for me and my kids. Today I went with them and none of the servers were wearing masks. Well, they had them on their heads, but pulled down with their noses and/or mouths exposed. The fact that the people interacting with customers aren't bothering taking precautions doesn't give me much confidence in safety procedures behind the scenes. I'm not wild about giving any more money to a company showing such a blatant lack of concern for the health and safety of customers as well as employees.

Over priced. Waited in line for 20 minutes of my 30 minute lunch break. Chicken was good but the order was messed up. Told the girl twice I wanted fried okra and still ended up with french fries. This Bush's is not near as good as the rest

Food was good, but it's too expensive after COVID. Chicken is $2/lb at grocery store. Bulk from a distributor is cheaper than that. How can you justify these prices?

Tenders are half size. No extra ones that Bushes normally does. 3% fee on credit card. Eating at restaurant and the food is cold at 7:30pm. Should have kept driving when the parking lot was empty.

Very slow service. Waited in line outside for 15 minutes before acknowledged. Didn’t have enough chicken for my 15 piece order at 6:54pm! Super disappointed.

Sat in a empty drive thru minus one other car ordered a 3 piece tender meal with fries and a 3 piece tender meal with corn nuggets waited eight minutes on my meal got my meal no fries okra instead so I run In real quick change out the problem stuff happens right so get in the car going down road pop open the meal grab a tender and it was cold and some real hard edges you could clearly tell this chicken was old contacted the store to let them know I was upset about waiting seven minutes and still getting cold /old food and the manager wouldn't tell me her name who I was speaking with and argued the fact that the only chicken they just pulled up and was not old so no way I got old / cold food if I hadn't just left grocery shopping I and had frozen food in the car I would have went back I didn't want a replacement hell they couldn't do it right the first time just as a customer I thought I'd let them know what there employees were serving but obviously they don't care.

I won’t be going here anymore. I went to speak with the manager and she told me she didn’t have time for me. I also heard if you tip the drive they servers that they have to pay the cook 5 dollars every shift. I think that is wrong. I will be contacting home office about my experience.

I feel so sorry for the pepole of this area , not to know what good affordable chicken is like . Cant belive you have had to pay these inflated prices for chicken !! I will pray that your city does not have a contract with this company and soon you will have a tasty affordable substitute .

I made an order 30 mins ago when I came in I saw 10 firefighters walk out because the line was so long and there was no chicken ready I had to walk out because when I got to the front of the line, I still had to wait for my order, and then the people behind me walked out too I gotta give them the donkey of the day

Used to be both good food and good value. Now it is neither. Dry tenders half the size they used to be at best. Obviously cut down to make more pieces, dishonest really. Should call it nugget Tuesday.

Lake Road Bush's Chicken is sub par. I give up as to why this particular location seems to be. Much slower than other locations. There is definitely a management problem. F!rst complaint was of a d!rty store and employees taking off their shoes in the dining area while eating. This time the manager failed to fill my basic order for 15 minutes. Bush's does no seem to care. Never responded to my email.

Lost my business. Been a regular here since it opened. Im a manager at a local shop here in Belton and a member of the Belton Chamber as well. My staff and i come for lunch regularly. Today the service i received in the drive thru was so piss poor that i have decided to never return. I explained it nicely to the "manager" who was a kid that looked all of 17, that i had been waiting in line on my lunch break while servers were walking PAST my car to service cars BEHIND ME that JUST PULLED IN! This of course made me somewhat irate. When customers are treated this way at MY place of business, they are given compensation or at least a sincere apology. Came here today to pick up chicken tenders and sides for the family on the 4th and what a terrible choice I made!!! Ordered the 30 piece family meal long with a couple of other individual meals and wow the chicken tenders were way over cooked very chewy and extremely small, about 1/2 were edible other half went to the dogs!!! The chicken breast we received were cooked ok just covered in grease...The worst thing though is when my order was brought out to me I was told that I was given 2 family gravy’s, well when I got home there was NO gravy to be found!!! Seriously!!! I get extremely dried out chicken tenders and zero gravy!!! What a joke!!! $65 for about &10 worth of food!!! Talk about a rip off!!!

I wish zero stars were an option. We gave them a legitimate chance, but they screw up our order, or forget something, or are SLOW AS MOLASSES every time. Tonight topped it all though. I waited in line, got part of our order (they were waiting on a side of mac n cheese)..and I sat there for over 45 minutes, with the rest of our food getting cold in the seat next to me. Finally the girl came out and was like, I'm sorry, do you want something else? Nah. Done. Never again. Skip it. It isn't worth the hassel.

Never again. I was told I had to wait 4 minutes for pepper poppers. When I got them, they were cold. The fries tasted old and the tenders were about as big around as a cigar.

Bushes chicken is just gross. I do not see what the appeal is. The chicken is so flavorless and the fries and fried okra are usually always limp and soggy. Not to mention the EXTRMEMLY high amount of sodium in the food- extremely unhealthy! (But then again, this goes for any fast food restaurant) If you're looking for fast food fried chicken, I would highly recommend making it yourself at home to avoid the blood pressure raising amounts of sodium, or at the very least a more tasty option, such as Golden Chick or Chick-Fil-A.

They NEVER have thighs ready, or livers, If you go to their store after 7 pm on a Tuesday, check your chicken tenders, they won't be battered and/or fully cooked.

Someone feed the chicken tenders because they looking a little malnourished and on the skinny side. Paid full price for literally blades of grass they were super thin. That is tender abuse my friend. Never again.👎

Service is terrible. They skipped me, they didn't even ask me if I had been helped, like they didn't even look at me, I had to pretty me yell to get help, which the manager didn't even try to make it right at this point I just decided to take my bussines somewhere else. Not going back ever.

Today I ordered a 4 piece tender meal and it seems like all of the tenders were more like nuggets and there was a long hair in my drink. Inside the cup was actually dirty. If there wasn't a medium cup available they should of just told me instead of digging one up from somewhere. 🤮

WHAT THE HECK Bush's!?!?! The last two visits have been MORE than disappointing. The visit before last night was about two weeks ago. The chicken was old and dry. I also ordered mashed potatoes and an extra gravy. What I got was a small extra gravy and... A FREAKING JUG of gravy!! No potatoes!! Last night though was the final straw. I payed $30 for a 10 piece family and didn't check it until I got home. It was two legs, six wings and two thighs that were so small and greasy that it's questionable as to whether nor not they were even actually chicken. Bye.

Its really cold in the dining room. The fries were terrible. I asked for a fresh ​batch. The fresh batch tasted like they used old burnt oil. I ordered gizzards I was served 8 small bits of gizzard pieces, not whole pieces. Food quality has really gone down.

Got the 6 pc. Chicken strips meal...got home and no gravy. Called and asked if suppose to get gravy and yes, like I assumed. Asked me if I wanted to come back to get it...NO. He didn't offer anything else, even an apology! Some places will tell you, let them know in next visit and adjust then. There was about half order of French fries. I just moved here and they lost a good customer! I was a regular, in San Antonio. The server was a sweet person, though.

Food not as good as before, tenders were over cooked and chewy. Staff weren't happy and appear drained. Overly religious items everywhere, an obsession it seems. Not wanting church during my lunch hour. Not planning on a return trip.

Not sure what is happening at this location? I had to wait 15 minutes for fresh fried livers, but, what I actually got was not fresh fried. They were over fried, hard and the coating was in the bottom of the box. So disappointed and I'm sorry to say, it's not the first time.

My husband and daughter pulled up to the drive thru...2 others people were being helped. The other 2 cars drove off and the employees walked inside and started sweeping the floor. Never saying a word to my husband waiting to be helped. He called and spoke to the manager about the problem and the manager didn't seem to care that his employees acted the way they did. I hope the owner or store manager sees this review and cares more about how this business is being run. They lost a $30 sale last night and many more in the future.....we'll drive to Temple where I get excellent service every time.

This is the worst Bush’s ever! All the food was dry with the exception of the fries. They were soggy. The bread was more like croutons. I don’t understand how food would be able to be served like that. The person who served the food was nice and was a teenager. Whoever is the manager/owner should quit and move to a deserted island were they can eat sand all day everyday because thats how dry the food was.

Waited 40 minutes in the outside lane while staff assisted countless cars in the inside lane who arrived after us. When asked if they were going to serve those of us in the outside lane, staff (Cam in particular) asserted they would continue their process and refused to serve us. So we took our business elsewhere and will NOT go back.

Young man that waited on us was very nice considering the young ladies that he was working with. One of them (Stephanie) was very unprofessional. She came up to the counter throwing boxes on the floor laughing. Walked to the other side and was knocking wrappers every where. My food was on a plate and she reached over and with her bare hands takes the tenders off of my plate and throws them into a to go box. All the while she is laughing. Not sure where management was but they sure weren't paying attention. Won't order food from there again with the lack of sanitation.

I think they forgot how to season the chicken! Today it tasted like it was boiled then baked and then battered with bland flour. Today was a sad day for Bush’s. The empty parking lot at 12:15 should have been a hint. Oh we’ll live and learn! Usually the best around, but not today. This isn’t the first time this has happened. The first time I said I’d never go back. I wish I would have listened to myself!

I arrived there at 9:30pm, thirty-minutes before closing, and the door was locked. The employees looked at me and made no attempt to open the door. The open sign was still lit in the window. It was really frustrating seeing the employees text and sit in the dining area, not allowing me to do business. I'm never going to Bush's again! I took my money across the street to Sonic.

It is hard to rate when you pay and don't get anything. They wanted me to wait 20 minutes for a 2pc mix and didn't tell me about it. Management is aweful. The girl from drive thru is new and was trying but to inexperienced to know better. Thumbs down all around! I had to go inside and get my money back, which took over 5 minutes to do. Patrons beware!

Customer service was ok... Oh but the price I paid for the food I received never again. No one was in the lobby and it looked like someone had ate on every table. Then I bought 4 tender meal and a tender roll meal with 6 extra tenders... All except 2 tender had meat in them the rest where fried skin and fat. Same as my tender rolls😞

I’ve never left a review, good or bad but good god, do not waste your time coming here after 8. We have come here on multiple occasions, around 8:30 (I work late). Every single time it’s something new. For instance: young lady tells me “our kitchen finna close so we ain’t got chicken or any sides” or “it’s going to be 15 minutes becaus we are make to order after 8” ????? You close at 10pm? Management is horrible.

this place is literally sick. i got 2 tender rolls and fries and a sweet tea, it was the first place i stopped when i got back into town because it USED to be good! but i take a bite of the fries first, SUPER soggy but whatever so then i drank me tea, not even close to sweet and then to top it all off i went for my tender roll and it reeked of just that sour moldy type smell, and i had taken a bite before i realized it and when i held it close to my nose i was immediately disgusted and went to the near by cefco and threw up. I can still smell that sour smell and I will never go back

I prefer any other Bush's location to this one. The portions are much smaller here. The extreme amount of religious propaganda in every available space makes me uncomfortable. I think it's great they love Jesus; I do too but it is inappropriate to use a public place to force your agenda religious or political. I choose to spend money elsewhere. I give the Salado location 5 stars all around.

I ordered a big family meal. Asked for seasoning was told by the server that he would put a big handful in the bag. Got none had to go inside and they only gave me 6 pks. I had 4 people with me I asked for more and was told I would be charged for more. I also asked for plates and the 2 ladys 8nside stood there and stared at me like huh then when the other server went to get the plates the ladys asked him if I got my order. Like what would I need the plates for if not my food! Then I go to eat and half of the tenders were so like half tenders. Also the fries had no salt and were cold. Very rude. Plan making a complaint with the corporate office. I have never been treated nice or respectful at this location. No stars given!

So I went to bushes and ordered a 16 piece tender meal and when I got home with the order. I noticed that it was regular bone and chicken like breasts and thighs. And I contacted them immediately and spoke with a female manager. And she said she would write my name down. And I could get the order fixed any time.I wanted to just come in tell them my name and they would fix the order...... Went in a week later to get my meal and apparently they either lost my name or the lady never wrote it down. And they told me because I don't have the receipt which I've never got in the can't do anything forming. I will never be bringing my family to this establishment. Ever again.

Ordered 6 thighs and corn nuggets was told they didn't have any thighs ready and it would take 10-12 minutes, 30 minutes later we are still waiting in line with my 99 year old Dad in the car, had to pull out to let him use the bathroom. When the food was brought to us no explanation or sorry we had to wait. I have had similar experiences at this location...we won't be back !!!!!

I will never come to this bushes again! The chicken is all fat and is very over cooked. The fries taste like they were fried with funnel cakes, and the roll tastes like chemicals. Not to mention it cost $20 for two people! That’s so expensive when you have to throw half of it away!

I use to go to this location all the time rather it was for just sweet tea or actual food . After this experience I will never be back . When I saw no customers and the trashy parking lot I knew I should have kept driving. I got the tender meal with fries roll and corn nuggets with a sweet tea. When she came right back with my food I just knew it wouldn’t be fresh. The chicken tenders were so old and hard I couldn’t break them apart to dip in ranch , corn nuggets barely warm they use to make them fresh to order not today, the roll was hard and smelled sour. Everything just old then I Atleast thought the sweet tea would be good you could tell it’s been sitting for awhile all the ice melted in it and it tasted like watery tea. This experience is the worst I’ve experienced I will not be returning. If I didn’t have a 3 hour drive home I would of returned for a refund. What is pictured all got trashed I couldn’t eat it nor drink my tea a waste of money. I wouldn’t feed this to a animal.
