Avaliações de Trumer Brewery Taproom Berkeley
Great atmosphere, excellent beer, and really good pretzels. Trumer Taproom has a relaxed but lively vibe that makes it a perfect spot to hang out with friends or unwind. The beer is always fresh and well-made, and the food pairs perfectly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Berkeley.
My drinks always start with a pilsner. It’s the perfect way to kick off the first round, and Trumer Pilsner is a great example — a light-bodied, golden lager with a crisp, clean, and refreshing taste. Hoppy #5, on the other hand, brings floral and fruity aromas that make it one of my favorite flavor profiles. And they definitely know the ideal temperature and conditions for serving beer!
Always good beer and super friendly staff. Great food and fun events. Don't miss if you're driving through. Recommend.
The Pilsner is one of the best beers around, it's really good, I miss the bottles, on cans I feel the taste a little different, the others Northern Larger and IPA is ok but not like the pils, the brisket sandwich was ok, bread was not fresh and dry, brisket was good! The staff special in the bar wasn't that friendly, in general is ok, my 5 stars go to the Trumer Pils, really delicious!
Cool spot with nice sunny seating outside. Had the Radler & pretzel and I was happy with both. The pretzel is giant and I could only eat half. The cheese it comes with is hella good, like a Obatzda but a little runnier. I’ll be back for sure!
We loved the environment! Great beer, I tried the October fest - really amazing! If you enjoy amber beers
Hands down my wife and I's favorite brewery. From the second you enter you're greeted with amazing people working the tap room - truly passionate and genuine people who make you feel at home. The beer as others have said, is truly amazing (the Festbock my wife puts in her top 3 favorite beers of all time). Do the flight to get a nice variety - haven't had a beer here that I didn't enjoy. In addition to the amazing employees and beer - the food is the best food we've ever had at a taproom. From the pretzels with beer cheese (the best), to the Bratwurst Bites to the Siracha Chile Wings - everything always comes out hot and flavorful. Lastly, get some merchandise while there - all high quality and reasonably priced. The last 2 times we've been here they have had a variety of T-shirts, Glasses and Hoodies. Hoping one day they get some Tin Tackers made to add to my wall of breweries at home. If you like beer and want an amazing experience - definitely check out Trumer. It's a staple every time my wife and I are in Berkeley.
Extremely clean and modern interior with quality food and beer
These are the best domestically-produced German style beers I’ve had in the US, and I travel extensively. These are hard beers to make properly. They nail all the hard styles including altbier and weizenbock. Plus, there’s the epic well-known pils. The seasonal bock and unfiltered pils were super. Didn’t try the food, but will next time. Also, place was packed but the staff expertly handled things. Be patient and you’ll be rewarded!

The brewery combines traditional German brewing techniques with California innovation, producing high-quality, award-winning beers. During this event, they go all out with festive decorations, traditional German music, and a lineup of seasonal brews, including their signature Pilsner and other Oktoberfest-style beers. The lively atmosphere, paired with authentic German food like pretzels and sausages, makes it a fun and immersive experience for anyone looking to enjoy a piece of Bavaria right in the Bay Area. The brewery’s spacious beer garden is perfect for relaxing with friends while taking in the festive vibes. Whether you’re a long-time fan of Trumer Pils or new to their brews, the Oktoberfest event is a great way to experience their dedication to quality and community.
Blown away by this brewery! Some of the best beer I've had in a long time. I was also extremely happy to see Trumer Pils in Chicago, where I live. It's my new go-to 12 pack!!

You can always rely on Trumer Brewery for a crisp lager and pilsner. I love how extensive the brew menu is now compared to when they first opened. I love trying their new experimental beers like hoppy #5 etc whenever I see new items. Otherwise, they have many classic beers to choose from, you can't go wrong.
This has quickly become our favorite brewery in the neighborhood. Crisp, lighter beers and always at the perfect temperature. Plus they have a great menu! I've been getting a bit tired of all the breweries around doing pizza, so it's refreshing to have other options. Try the pretzel and beer cheese!
Went for Octoberfest. It was fun. The beer is quite good, the outdoor space was Ample and looked comfortable. Decent amount of spots indoors as well. I'm gonna go back one day for a regular stop.
9/18/25 outstanding authentic Austrian pilsner, Oktoberfest, Bocks, and many more. We met the brew master Lawrence who is incredibly knowledgeable in the process. Trumer imports all of the hops, barley, and yeast from Austria and Germany.
Best pilsner in the world, come get it straight from the brewer in their awesome tap room! Also lots of other beers on the menu, all fresh and delicious!
Love this brewery for their amazing beer. So stoked when they opened this location last year. The pretzels, mustard, brats, pierogies and potato salad are fantastic. Great wines too. Can't go wrong here. Indoor and outdoor seating. Heaters on patio and great decor.
Good food, good atmosphere, good bartenders. Ask for storm, he’s great!!

Fantastic! What a great addition to West Berkeley. Been so excited to try it since opening this fall and finally got to today. Beautiful, modern, airy but not too industrial space, in an industrial place. Gorgeous, huge back patio with plenty of seating and space heaters for everyone, even on a cold, windy day like today. Food menu is small but totally effective, with choices that seem flexible for vegetarians as well. Theme of course is Bavarian snacks, so brats, deviled eggs, wings with a delicious mustard sauce, charcuterie board, warm potato salad, and soft, warm pretzels are on offer. Even vegans get a shot with what looks like a tasty bowl, which I hope is warm but it didn't specify. Kids have pigs in a blanket if they don't mind their food touching. My kids only likes pigs and blankets separated, lol. Ketchup might have helped but they have mustard (eww, mom, no). Trumer afficianados and new to the brand folks will be equally pleased, as the beer menu encompasses many different traditional German styles of beer, including the pilsner they're most famous for. Fresh off the tap is the way to go, and the Schwarzbier also did not disappoint. They will just serve you the large size unless you specify the smaller size ($6/9), just FYI. The service was outstanding - a rare joy these days - and so go here and be pleasantly surprised at the hospitality and welcome you receive! Top notch today with the staff on deck. The neighborhood has seen better days but might Trumer Taproom be one anchor of a Renaissance?

Chill place, good atmosphere with patio sitting as well. It would have been a better experience if I was not served with a cold pretzel after waiting for 25, maybe close to 30 minutes. But that is not what bothered me the most, what did really bother me is that dogs(maybe all pets(?)) are allowed inside, I am not sure why... is it that we are all supposed to like animals in the food/drink establishment? Perhaps I will stick to bottled pilsner.

My friend is weirdly obsessed with Trumer Taproom, like it’s some sacred beer church. They rave about the pilsner like it’s liquid gold, but I’ve had it. Sometimes it’s decent; other times it tastes like someone rinsed out a keg with mop water and called it a day. I’ve stopped playing beer roulette and just stick to a Fevertree soda—because apparently that’s the only thing here that doesn’t betray you. The place looks like it should be good. Sleek taproom aesthetic, vaguely upscale vibes, lots of clean wood and brushed metal. It’s the kind of space that whispers “craftsmanship” while the food and service scream “disappointment.” If there were an award for Most Unfulfilled Potential, Trumer would win it in a landslide. We always end up staying longer than I want, and that means I eventually cave and order food. That’s when the real tragedy unfolds. I’ve had the misfortune of eating the world’s most indifferent mac & cheese—lukewarm, gluey, and clearly assembled by someone who’s never felt joy. The empanadas they used to serve were so bland I’m still not convinced they weren’t stuffed with cardboard. And the pierogis? Sad, soggy little pouches of regret, served just warm enough to make you question your life choices. The salad is a science experiment. Wilted greens, brown edges, and an overall vibe that says “we found this behind the fridge.” Every bite feels like a warning from nature itself. Then there’s the infamous pork sandwich, which one bartender hyped up with the energy of a used car salesman on commission. I took a bite and immediately wished I hadn’t. It tasted like someone’s failed BBQ project that was cryogenically frozen and half-thawed just in time for my suffering. Let’s talk about the staff. There’s the bartender who perpetually smells like an ashtray that moonlights as a chimney. Nothing says “fresh beer experience” like the scent of stale cigarettes wafting over your drink. Then there’s the retired news anchor-looking employee with the cakey makeup and haunted expression of someone who took a wrong turn in life and ended up plating sad pretzels for a living. Every interaction with her feels like you’ve stumbled into a local access soap opera. And speaking of the pretzels: they're the only thing that isn't made on-site—which is probably why they’re edible on a good day. That doesn’t stop the kitchen from butchering them. Sometimes they’re baked into bricks, other times they show up barely warm and about as inspiring as a DMV waiting room. The only thing Trumer Taproom is truly consistent at is the horrifying “gotcha!” bite halfway through your meal—whether it’s rotten lettuce, congealed cheese, or something mysteriously cold that was supposed to be hot. It’s like playing Russian roulette with your taste buds. Bottom line: come for the beer if you must, but eat literally anywhere else. And maybe nose plugs.
My review today is based on a store purchased Trumer Pils. I honestly love this beer however, my purchase was very bitter and would never recommend this beer if they always tasted this way.
