I'm a cancer patient living on extremely low income. Disabled. Homemade Cafe is a godsend! Their "everybody eats" program is awesome!! I'm able to eat a good, hot, wholesome meal from time-to-time. Today, I had the Corned beef hash breakfast today, and it was delicious. The staff is very nice always. To the establishment: THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for looking out for the underprivileged in our community!

We often don’t appreciate things enough until they’re gone. I’m pleased to report that Homemade Cafe is back after the long closure. A rare miracle for us all to appreciate! They may be working out issues with all the new staff, but we’re all rooting for this spot to return to form 🤞

I was so happy that Homemade was reopening. And then I went and ate and OH MY GOODNESS. It was so delicious. I had a sausage biscuit breakfast sandwich and it came with two fairly large sandwiches, so I brought one home. The biscuit was delish, service was lovely, coffee was good and plentiful. Kiddo had pancakes and I wanted to eat those too. Highly recommend and I will go back soon and often.

Nahhh the home fries were some of the best I've had. They know what they're doing here. Cute breakfast spot with cool art hanging up. The staff was awesome - I wanted any type of parfait or fruit and the cook made up a special thing for me to get that! Very grateful and appreciate the vibes here

Really quaint and friendly corner breakfast spot. Cage free eggs and we sampled various baked goods that were exceptional. Waffle is delicious and they also serve grits. Specials looked very inviting, although I didn't try one. Service was thorough and extra friendly. The staff made our visit very very enjoyable.

Really top notch breakfast place. All the meats and breads are local. I got the Cornbeef hash my first time and the Mexican eggs the second. Service was quick and professional and love the way the space is decorated. A true American style breakfast gem.

Well seasoned chicken, the waffle maker was broken today, the substitute was a pancake which was light, fluffy and buttery. The staff was friendly and attentive.

We've come here twice and have not had to wait for a table either time. The food and drinks are alright, nothing to write home about but solid. They have a patio on the street which was warm, but the nearby streets makes it kind of loud. Today the service was lacking; the servers forgot multiple things in our order. They charge an automatic 20% gratuity so staff may not be incentivized to try too hard. They were courteous but sort of aloof.

A 20% tip was pre-added to the bill without disclosure and couldn’t be adjusted. You serve yourself water, get your own coffee, and walk to the counter to pay, so there isn’t really any service that warrants a 20% tip (you’re essentially paying the worker’s wage, as their receipt even says). The servers never checked in after dropping off the food, and the table wasn’t clean; there was still food stuck on it after staff wiped it down. They also seemed understaffed, as the bathroom was nasty 😭. At this point, I’d rather just pick up the food myself. About half an hour after eating (my first and only meal of the day) my stomach didn’t feel great. I’m in agony hours after 🙃

One of the worst meals I’ve ever had then had the nerve to add a 20% tip on my bill without letting me know ahead of time! The doughy pancakes were advertised as the best pancakes ever and they were disgusting and the worst I ever had. The coffee cake was like dried corn bread. The potatoes look like they were scraped off the back of the flat top and whatever syrup they use was watery with a weird taste. I really don’t understand how this restaurant has 4.3 stars. I ordered a fruit bowl with pancakes and my partner ordered a 2 egg breakfast with sausage with a corn bread coffee extra and my bill came up to $48 somehow.

Automatuc gratuity of 20% for a one person meal is actual extortion. If I want to tip I will if I don't I will not. Auto gratuity is for groups of 5+ I worked in the industry. Worst part is that total my auto gratuity went to 8$ when I would have easily kept 10$ of my own volition. Stop with the autogratuity stuff makes you look bad and greedy. Also your biscuits and gravy is like 80% biscuits (ginormous size) and 2p% gravy. Ngl would gave been better if yall just closed down.

Absolutely horrible experience. Everything that could go wrong did. Terrible parking, had to park 4 blocks away. The bathroom was a scene from a horror movie (dirty, flies, toilet didn't flush, etc.). There was a hair in our food and the food was undercooked. The service was okay, but a bit chaotic and unorganized. I will never go back.

I went because I coworker was always talking about how much they like this place. The food was okay. Biscuits were too dense and hard. Had to refill your own coffee and water. Bathroom was stinky, table was sticky, flies, and overall poor atmosphere.
