This was a great place to have a relaxed lunch in Berkeley. They have a wonderful rooftop bar and also outdoor seating. And they do a phenomenal job of keeping everyone safe during Covid. Every menu at every table is discarded after use for example! You can also order online and pay online without having to speak to a waiter.
I ended up at Triple Rock by accident today. I had planned for an end-of-the-year lunch with some ex-coworkers at a nearby restaurant and it was closed. I had not been in this place since the 90’s, I think it was just beer back then. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cocktail menu. The Campsite Karaoke cocktail was so good it tasted like candy. The food is standard fare with good portions. Service was quick, contactless and efficient.
Since moving back to the Bay and landing here in Berkeley, Triple Rock has become one of my second homes. The vibe, people, venue, food are amazing. I always leave this place in a better mood than I came in with. Def hit this spot, house brewed beer selection so bomb. The grub bomb too. Favorite burger for me is the Mesa. They got mad love for my puppers Cookie too. They #showlovestackblessings Most def visit and come back again!
Often stop by for trivia on Wednesdays. Service is via QR codes on the tables. Staff is super friendly. Bar menu is substantial. Has a bike rack outside to hang yours. Staff helped me recover a lock I forgot one night.
Order the beer flights! It’s worth it! Some cocktails are original and not bad. Sweet potato fries and onion rings are solid. The garlic fries, however, is a bit soggy.
I hit the tripartite rock thrice daily, and look at it nice, very closely. It's an extension of my soul. Stop, drop and roll when I hear the fire drill. Eating cheeseburgers on a hill. Only after I've taken my pills that my doctor recommended with a meal. Embrace the new new deal, that's better than the old new deal. Is it real? We'll see.
I ordered Porky 🐷 burger. It’s lit 🔥 I paired it with the cider mmmmm . The ipa mixer was on point . 🌊🌊🌊🌊

From my time at UC Berkeley, Triple Rock stands out as one of the, if not the single, best spots to eat and drink casually in the city. The food and drinks are great (the buffalo wings are some of the best I’ve had in the bay), the prices are reasonable, and the service and ambience are excellent. A must-try for anyone looking for a classic but unique bar in Berkeley!
I think triple rock has great kids meals and smash burgers.they also excell at there beer.
I have been coming here for almost 20 years and this place really just gets better with age. The food is delicious (burgers including impossible options and wings are great, brussels sprouts are a sleeper hit, cheesy bacon fries are excellent), drinks are tasty and varied, and if you’re a sports person there’s always at least one game on but it’s not obtrusive if you’re there to hang. Good for large groups and groups with kids, I just had a birthday there and they were SO kind and accommodating. Super easy to deal with group ordering (QR code on the table to order, no messy group bills or anything) and the staff are so kind and funny and responsive. Everything is reasonably priced too. Hoping to keep coming here for another 20 at least. Thank you Triple Rock ❤️❤️❤️

One of my favorite spots to go to in Berkeley. This brewery has been around for a while now. The restaurant itself has recently been expanded and now sits a lot more people. You have mainly 3 seating option. 1. Near the bar 2. New Larger room which has more space and a shuffleboard or 3. the outdoor/rooftop seating. I prefer seating on the roof or the larger room depending on the weather and size of the group. The service is great and all the servers know what they are serving. They can help you decided what to get. My favorite day to visit is Thursday because they serve their famous Monkey Head on that day. It is an $8 dollar huge bottle of beer that needs to be had in tine glasses. (That's the fun of it). Even the food is yum! so if you work around the area you could definitely get some food and drinks here I have had some great times here. Tip: On Thursday's it usually gets crowded so you might want to get there by 6-ish to make sure you get a good spot.
The food is much better than typical pub grub. The house beers cover a good range, with 4 IPAs today, in addition to guest brews. When the weather is nice, it's pleasant to sit at the counter by the roll-up window.
The staff was pretty good. The food was OK, but not great. Same for the beer. It's not a bad spot, there just may be better options nearby.
Bacon avocado swiss burger medium rare. Very tasty, burger is on the small side. Garlic french fries are good, not great. Service was very good. Overall food quality is good, but the portions are a bit on the small side considering the prices. So burger, fries, iced tea, tax and tip total $25.
Cool spot, with lots of seating. House brews and TVs. The food was good for a brewery, but our server must have been new and they were not prepared for a Sunday crowd it seemed.
Girlfriend's dad recommended this place, and he wasn't wrong. Burger was pretty great and there was a good selection of solid beers to choose from.

Girlfriend's dad recommended this place, and he wasn't wrong. Burger was pretty great and there was a good selection of solid beers to choose from.
Fun atmosphere and good service, but unquestionably the worst burger I’ve ever had. Ordered the double smash burger and, honestly, I started laughing when it arrived and definitely didn’t stop after the first bite. It was really nothing but a thin rubbery and tasteless piece of, well, I’m not even sure what I was eating. Just awful. Go for the atmosphere, but eat before you go.
I really like the bar and the atmosphere. But waiting for beer for 15 minutes, when you order it online ain’t good: when I went to bar, no sorry, no pardon, just here it is your beer.

I used to really like this place, but they keep forgetting my orders. Guys, I give you tip. If in 1/3 cases have to go to bar to remind waitress and show her a proof of my order, something is wrong. Otherwise place is great, but would be nice if they fix the ordering system.
Seated, took our order and promptly ignored until we flagged her down to ask for our check. This normally would have been annoying but not the worst thing, except our food was VERY UNDERCOOKED. I ordered my burger medium, my boyfriend ordered medium-rare. When they came out, after a bite mine was really pink in the middle, and my boyfriend's even more so. We were uncomfortable with this and would have asked for it to be fixed, but our waitress never stopped by our table again. Please don't try to tell me she was just busy - we saw her chatting and laughing with a table across the room on more than one occasion. It would have only taken her stopping by ONCE to ask how our meal was to have it fixed and improve our experience. We ended up eating the food because after a long day of hiking we were just hungry and couldn't wait anymore. I ate half of my burger before stopping because I saw that the other half was even pinker than the first half. That is NOT HOW MEDIUM SHOULD BE COOKED. We spent the rest of the night worried we were going to get food poisoning, but miraculously didn't. We also had to get up and get our own water because the waitress never brought it or stopped by to check on things, at which point we would have asked. Beer is good but after this experience and our original one which was also not good, we will not be returning. Added a photo of the last bite of my first half of the burger. I cut my burgers in half before eating. Threw the other half away. EDIT: RESPONSE TO OWNER: Sorry for the late response. I'm not sure how to respond to your response directly so I'm just editing this post. I didn't even see your reply until we looked it up out of curiosity yesterday as we were eating good burgers at another place and reminiscing on the terrible experience at Triple Rock. We had visited on Saturday, November 11th and the time was probably between 7-9PM. We were sitting pretty close to the stairs and water station (the one where we had to help ourselves) on the upstairs patio if that helps you retroactively figure out who the waitress was. We listed our grievances on the signed receipt, that may help jog the waitress' memory. She seemed to be so unaware of the existence our table, however, that I wouldn't be surprised if the receipt was never picked up. In her mind, that table had faded into the abyss a long, long time ago. Heaven help any poor soul who sits there under her care in the future. I appreciate that you are trying to look into this matter, and hopefully it helps your patrons be better served in the future, however we have no interest in returning and I will not be changing the star rating. This was our second bad experience here (granted, much worse than the first experience, which is why we left a review). I'm not going to try for a third. Best of luck!

The worst guacamole I ever had, probably from a can, and in the Bay Area (mind you it was 3,75 extra). The cocktail didn’t even have proper booze in it.
