Customer service was A1, very attentive and polite! The food was amazing, the chicken was extremely tender and juicy
Love, love, love this internationally known neighborhood gem. Family owned and run, great Mediterranean food easy in and out.
Local place with good food. Parking available I'm back. Nice place to walk to for locals. Especially like their salads with chicken.
The food was fresh and delicious. They forgot my baked potato side and promptly delivered it to my house.
Great food! Very friendly and welcoming family runs the place. Thanks for the amazing experience!
I have try the falafel and was really delicious, I have seen alot of people going there and they do enjoy the food. Nice woners
You won’t find a more delicious, or speedier spot in all the land
THEIR CHICKEN IS ALWAYS SOOO GOOD go here it’s fast, cheap and never not delicious! The Mediterranean cold slaw and side sauces are amazing too
I have been here many times since it first opened. I have never had s bad meal from here. This a place I do recommend to others.
The food is good. The prices are good. We love this place. They also do a nice job with food for lunches at the office and parties.
Excellent food, from the chicken to the falafel to all the mezze. Nice staff. A solid spot!
Falafel is amazing. Everything else is tasty as well and the family that owns this place are so friendly.
Good people. Good food. Good place. 10/10. parking might be a problem but otherwise it is amazing
Poulet Du Jour is great! Make sure you introduce yourself to Nile, one of the owners. He's a cool guy, with a great sense of humor. You MUST get an order of the Falafels, they are the best in town!
The restaurant had been around for 16years! Fantastic rotisserie chicken that's juicy and flavorful! Large portions with veg, rice /hummus sides. Definitely check it out if you are in the area !
Incredible menu selections with a truly authentic Mediterranean flavor to everything. Great customer service as well.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in the south bay! I eat here at least twice a week, sometimes more. Poulet Au Rie is to die for and the hummus is dumb bomb. Do not hesitate to try this little gem
I have used this establishment for catering as a pharmaceutical to for the past 8 years and I love them. The food is fantastic, the owners are the sweetest people ever and they are always reliable. You can't go wrong!
Not just the best chicken in the South Bay, maybe the best in the city. Zankou? Amateurs. Al Wazir? Child's play. Order the Poulet au Rie salad. You'll love it. The hummus and the grape leaves are delish.
Delicious chicken, delicious dishes, the woman in the kitchen is very pleasant, the owner of the restaurant seems strict, this reminds me of my father.
Unbelievable hardworking woman in the back doing it all. Somehow the food comes out hot, fresh and on time. Neighborhood favorite New! More ways to react
Mr. Diab was so kind and generous. The hospitality was unmatched. Also, the best falafel I’ve ever had!
Incredible food and friendly service, I see myself coming back to eat here again and again and again!
I absolutely love Poulet Du Jour! Extremely delicious food, great flavours and wonderful service. Highly recommend!
Food is great. Owner is a character so he makes it interesting. Enjoy going there.
Poulet Du Jour is the best!!! Fresh chicken, spicy hummus, steamed veggies, falafel... You can't go wrong, the Poulet Aurie salad is the bomb.
The chicken is kind of small, poor little guys. The rice is amazing. So is the fried cauliflower. This used to be called Habash Cafe. Nice owners.
Well if the food and service do the talking then this place is top notch. If you are looking for a super fancy atmosphere than this is not your best choice.
Best rotisserie chicken around! Great garlic sauce, fantastic hummus and I have honestly never had anything but delicious food there.
Nile Nile Nile Nile Nile what more can I say best Falafel in LA the spicy humous is epic. You have to visit this Hidden Jem in the South Bay lots of free parking around back.
Absolutely love their salad. The chicken is delicious and the sides are amazing. Fun environment and great place to eat.
The falafel sandwich is very good, the chicken is excellent, but the hummus and garlic sauce is even better!
Great taste and value in the South Bay. Half chicken combo is perfect for lunch, dinner and snack. The special GARLIC SAUCE hits the spot everytime.
Great Mediterranean takeout. Try the special salad with chicken and rice. Falafels are great with a bit of spiciness.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this family owned and operated poultry palace. Yes, it’s an unassuming, in the midst of a strip mall, along busy PCH, palace. Don’t let the facade fool you. Oh, and the garlic sauce is just SO delicious - ask for extra - and don’t expect to make out with anyone afterward or have a big meeting the next day, unless they’ve all had it too, because you’ll definitely wreak of garlic for at least 24 hours afterward, but you know what...it’s all well worth it...and besides, garlic is extremely good for your health - so just dive in. And so I’ve completely digressed. As I was saying, the chicken is fantastic here and so are the simple, hearty sides of fresh steamed veggies, rice and potato salad too. Personally, I like to spoon a little heap of the veggies, rice and a several small pieces of chicken breast into a pita and dip it all into the garlic sauce and do my best to savor each delectable bite. However I always seem to end up devouring everything much too quickly. As long as this little place keeps serving up amazing, healthy, savory chicken dinners I look forward to the repercussions of 24 hour garlic breath and failing at mindful eating!
One of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. I used to live in Hermosa and ate there all the time. Now, whenever I return to Hermosa I go to this restaurant. Fantastic chicken, salads, hummus. Great people.
One of my first places I patroned when I move to the South Bay over a half decade ago - and loved every bit of! The chicken is fantastic and the hummus is amazing. The family that works the restaurant is great, although it does get packed and take a long time. My staple is the poulet de jour mixed with half spinach. Yum. Meeee! If I get a craving, I usually just order ahead a half hour for pickup (at minimum - during the busy times it does get more packed!). Thank you!
ABSOLUTELY a great experience in both FOH service and BOH. Falafels in the sandwich were fresh, hot and tasty! The homemade Baklava was such a treat as well. Thank you for the great hospitality.
The food is really good. We asked among ourselves which food you liked most and the answer from everyone was the same, "everything". The felafel was the best I have ever tried.
Great family owned restaurant. Amazing rotisserie chicken and assorted sides. Great place to call in for pick up or a quick meal. One of my go to places in Hermosa Beach. My favorite item is the half chicken with Mediterranean Cole slaw and Mediterranean potato salad. The dish comes with a few pieces of pita and a really good garlic butter.
The menu is not expansive but everything on it is amazing. Personally I have two items I adore here and I always have a hard time deciding between them. The best Cesar salad in the south bay, but if you're here for lunch don't discount the falafel sandwich, it's soooooooooooo good! Everything here is great and every person I go with has there own specific thing they cannot stray from. If you haven't been here you'll be amazed at how busy they are, between the Togo orders and people eating here, if it's open its busy. Don't be put off by the casual service, most people who go here are regulars, if you want a drink, go get it, If you want the bill, go pay it, food will come to your table but otherwise your mostly on your own, it's not that they aren't friendly, it's just super casual cause everyone is local.
Grape leaves and the baklava are really good :-)!
The food here is amazing! I had the rotisserie chicken and it's probably the best I've ever had. The restaurant is family-owned and everyone is very personable and friendly. We had a great conversation with one of them and he helped us pick out things to try that we all loved.
Family owned and operated since day one this rotisserie chicken joint is a must if you're in the South Bay. We get the 2 chicken family meal with 3 sides, a ton of pitas, hot sauce and garlic sauce. Chicken is always crispy and meat is tender. I've watched the owner's son grow into an adult over the past 15 years and it's just a great to support local businesses and families.
I come here only for the spicy humus n pita. Yes I do get the chicken and its delicious. But honestly, I usually take home the chicken and eat it another time. The hummus and pita is my weakness. Perfect flavors. Perfect amount of spicy paprika. Can't go wrong if you want a good lunch or dinner. Oh yeah and service is fast.
Unbelievably great Mediterranean food. I had the chicken with arabic salad and Mediterranean potato salad. It comes with pita and a yummy garlic sauce. Everything was outstanding. Extremely friendly and funny owner. Very highly recommended. Enjoy!!!
Amazing food. Amazing service. Great people. Not sure you could ask for much more. Try the Poulet Au Rice!
Fabulous experience, food was delicious!
Incredible food every visit! The chicken and falafel are amazing, and I love the crunchy fried pita croutons in the salads. And don't forget the hummus, creamy and tasty!!! Family-run by a great staff too!
Best rotisserie chicken I've ever had in my life. Definitely a must try place if in the area home cooking everything is delicious
We heard about the beautiful home atmosphere and beautiful place with the Amazing staff and tasteful food. And guess what, it was way underrated, it only deserves a whole 5 STARS, for food, staff, experience, service and most of all, the hospitality. It makes me want to fly to LA and go straight to Hermosa Beach for the experience to leave life and all it brings from stress behind and enjoy the moments at this place. Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hospitality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love their no chicken salad with the lemon garlic dressing.
Best rotisserie chicken in hermosa. Great service
Best Chicken in the South Bay. We call it chicken goodness. Falafel is up there with best I've ever had anywhere.
This is what it’s all about. Nile, the owner, is there on the daily and has been for 23 years with his staff pumping out good vibes and delicious authentic food. I love to see a locally owned and operated place killing it the way they do. “Best falafel in the country” with spices sourced directly from Jordan.
Always great service. One of my fave salads. My go-to when I’m back in town.
I’ve been eating at or ordering from here since they opened years ago… always good, always fresh, and 100% consistent! Nothing has changed over the years and I can always expect the same great service and top notch food every time I either dine in or take out! Simple, delicious and always on point! I love this place!
Best Rotisserie chicken anywhere, can't mess with perfection. Falafel is great and tasty. Humus fresh and full of med eastern flavor. The cook is great and the owners are cheerful and welcoming. Good food experience. We will be back .
Best salad and chicken in town if you want to eat a little healthier. Family owned establishment that will make you feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in the door. It can get loud at times inside but it’s all part of the atmosphere and experience.
The family meal deal was amazing ! The chicken was Moist and flavorful . Spicy hummus and hot sauce just banging . Everything was made with such care, robust flavors and just a great balance of heat, salty, sweet and tang. The owner is hilarious and took time to make sure everyone got what they wanted . We showed up in a large group and he accommodated the low carb people, the vegans and picky eaters . I dare you try this place and dislike it
Love their chicken and their salads are super fresh. Loving the customer service and vibes of this place. They helped me decide on a good salad for the fam and myself. Each thing we ate was delicious!
One of the best meals we have had! The food was made fresh and the owner was very friendly! It was so nice to have such an all around delicious meal and fun making a connection with the owner to my husband’s hometown! If we are ever back in the area we will certainly return and I could not recommend Poulet Du Jour enough!
First time trying this restaurant out and me with a love for rotisserie chicken, Poulet didn't disappoint. The chicken was crispy, tender and juicy with a lot of flavor, the hummus and pita paired well with the chicken. Also make sure you try their Arabic salad it’s so refreshing. Another good point is the very friendly Palestinian owner who checks up on you. I can’t wait to be back for more chicken, it’s so good.
Food was excellent chicken was so good and tasty, Baklava was amazing. THE atmosphere feels like you're at home. Will definitely be back.
The most delicious Mediterranean food I've had in all of the United States and I've travelled alot! The restaurant is simple and clean, the food was 10/10. Initially I thought it was maybe french of something due to the name Poulet Du Jour which means Chicken of the Day, I didn't read any reviews and just went in there with my newphew as we are visiting from Australia. When I got the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was Mediterranean and we ordered up big. The food was delicious. Now one thing to note. Like the Jerry Seinfeld Soup Chef. The food is amazing, keep focused on that.
It's hard to tell you in words what the experience is like to take the first bite of this magnificent food. You open the door of this family owned and operated restaurant...and the smell hits your nose immediately! You have just entered another dimension of culinary artistry! Food at it's finest! The chicken stands on it's own. One smell...one bite and you are hooked! Perfectly seasoned and prepared..fall-off-the-bone tender. The "hot hummus" is silky smooth...the heat just starts as a tickle...then builds and builds...releasing maximum full flavor. This is truly so hard to do. It takes the total understanding of the "alchemy"...or "chemically" how to combine and balance ALL taste dimentions of the food, at-the-same-time...that's very rare! The best falafel's I have eaten this side of Australia. He makes them from scratch (soooo much work) but the end result...perfection! Nael...the owner chef, is a master at his craft. He "brags" he is fondly known in the neighborhood as "the chicken Nazi"...he takes it so seriously...and we reap the benefits. Perfection in EVERY bite! On my top 10 list!...with pleasure...
Awesome food always at Poulet du Jour, a local, long-standing, family owned restaurant. The best garlic sauce and pickles. Everything is great! Latest photo shows their Veggie Plate - so good!
It's a very good restaurant with friendly staff, reasonable prices and a great host. I had half chicken with pita, hummos and meditterian potato salad. My girlfriend chose falafal plate. Everything was great and taste it delicious. I definitively can recommend it to visit it.
Loved this spot! I had a craving for falafel and rotisserie chicken and they didn't disappoint.
The chicken was very juicy but the falafels were even better!! They were crunchy outside and moist inside!
Friendly, delicious and warm atmosphere! Dat falafel be like crack

Poulet Du Jour in Hermosa Beach is the real deal. Service was fast, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The salad is a true Mediterranean salad, fresh, clean, and perfect exactly as it should be. The hummus was rich, smooth, and enjoyably smoky. The falafel is easily the best I’ve had anywhere in the U.S., and I’ve eaten falafel in all the places you’d expect (Dearborn, MI; Bridgeview, IL). One bite instantly took me back to falafel in Jerusalem and literally put a smile on my face. The chicken was absolutely incredible, perfectly seasoned with Mediterranean spices, insanely juicy, and the skin is so good you’ll wish there was more of it. If you want real, juicy, perfectly seasoned rotisserie chicken, not a $5 bag of grease from Costco, this is it. If you’re craving authentic, high quality, and healthy + healthy tasting Mediterranean food, stop looking. This is the spot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing feel like home and so welcoming atmosphere. Best best best rotisserie chicken not just in SoCal, but from an expert on rotisserie chicken, the best hands down worldwide. The Falafel is 100% Holy Land Authentic. Going through every menu item would take you on a journey through centuries of generations of home made foods. Thank you all for making us feel like home with your hospitality.
Fantastic food. The chicken breast was very tender and hummus was the right amount of spicy.
Had take out after reading all the good reviews, and can confirm: the food is amazing! Chicken skin is so delicious, meat is tender and juicy, falafel were amazing, as well as the hummus and even the simple rice. Food is fresh, healthy and not full of sauce and fat like other places. We will definitely be back, it’s my new fav take-out 🍗 ❤️
Our new favorite place in the neighborhood. Great quality, delicious food.
Hands down the best rotisserie in Los Angeles.. whatever you've had before, won't touch this

The food is great, but I always wonder why anyone would want to eat there, since there is a very unhappy atmosphere present every time we go there.
We both had salads. They were good, very simple. Also ordered a falafel patty. The falafel was excellent. Next time we'll get chicken.
Exceptionally good lentil soup. Gape leaves were sweet and not that good. Falafel was very tasty and good flavor.
Great place. The chicken is great. I had their most popular salad. It was good, not enough chicken, and very lemony. My friend had the half chicken which looked amazing. The hummus was my favorite food. Such rich taste and was so creamy. I could have just eaten that and been in heaven. I definitely will come back to this image. Another great thing was the service was great, very attentive, and very handsome.
It's Mediterranean on the VERY HEALTHY side; low fat, low carb and fresh. I had the pita with spinach & chicken with hummus instead of the vinaigrette. Next time I'll stick with the vinaigrette because while very tasty, the chicken seemed a little dry. I also had a side of cucumber salad in a yogurt sauce that was very good -- probably one if the best I've had.

Hey Owner guys- You ruined the falafel sauce. Is Tahini that expensive? Used to be some of the best on the planet. Your new Yogurt sauce sucks. Hope you can go back to the best rather than at best mediocre. 🤞✌️

The mother in the kitchen is very warm and caring. The younger help upfront don't seem as happy to be there. The half chicken I had was dry as a bone. It should have been either brined or cooked less or both. The tabouli, grape leaves and eggplant dip were all excellent! I almost fell over when they gave me the bill though. 43 bucks for two people (we drank water) was a lot more than I had expected and the young man wouldn't be troubled to give me and itemized receipt. I won't be returning. I already know how to make killer tabouli myself.
I feel like I came here before and it was amazing... but that was 4 years ago so maybe something has changed? Or maybe I have early onset Alzheimer's. Either way it couldn't be further from the same experience this time. We went here a few weeks ago and the chicken was dry and not flavorful. Not at all like I remember. We got it to go, but I had talked it up to my girl too so I got the side-eye as she told me she didn't want anymore after two bites and we ended up throwing the rest away. We were recommended the chicken salad as the number one choice from the guy at the front, but to be honest when we looked at the picture it looked really bland. Maybe I caught it on an off day because it gets a lot of love, but my experience just can't reflect that.
Sorry, average at best. Placed was packed; owner seemed nice, but chicken was dry, & along with the hummus/garlic sauce, a little bland. The Mediterranean potato salad was recommended to me--made with lemon juice...really? Not good. Wanted to like it, but it doesn't come close to Zankou. I know some loyalists will disagree, but you are deluded...
Young man at the counter and older gentleman owner are very rude. Horrible service. Too bad because the food is pretty good. I'll never set foot in there again.
Looked this place up on Google, says its open, click on door dash to order at 4:29pm, $25.47, says order will be here at 5:02, at 4:57pm I get a cancelled notification, tried to order again thinking this may be a glitch, this time at 5:14pm for $26.87, says it will be here at 5:46, at 5:40pm shows cancelled on the watch the meal prepared list online, I call them 7 times, each time some different voicemail system comes up, but no one physically answers (remember, Google says they are open until 9pm) Now Im upset, hungry and out of over $50, I walk down to the place, since its only 1 mile away and it shows that they are closed. Why did Door Dash, and Google, and their own sign in the window say they were taking to go orders, this is really, really sad.
Went here twice for the same food, this guy overcharged me both times, don’t understand how something that’s 15 flat on the menu can come out to 17 and then $19 the second time. Even with 10% tax. It’s not even about the money for me it’s the principle.
Customer service was great. The food not so much. The chicken was dry and the potatoe salad was disgusting, the rice had no flavor but was overly greasy. Never going back.
The young man at the counter was so rude to a lady customer. He told her, next time you should pay an attention when your order is called. If anyone should have said anything it should have been her., because she patiently waited and did not complain while he shot the breeze with his fellow friends who were there. Rude, rude, rude. Shame on you!
I just spent $40 on Door Dash for a chicken salad with romaine and rice, and some spicy hummus from Poulet du Jour. The chicken is completely inedible, it’s so overcooked it’s like trying to eat shoe leather. I gave up after the third bite and just ate some of the Romaine and rice. The spicy hummus was only so so. I think sometimes restaurants give their worst failures to the delivery companies because they make so little money on these orders. There used to be a time not that long ago when $40 would buy you a really nice dinner..
Every time I’ve come here, there’s always some argument going on with the staff. Kept going for whatever reason until the front cashier dude mocked me for asking if he had a cup for water… yeah I’m gonna pass on this place.
