Everything was amazing here! It was the nicest restaurant I've been to in a while. I made a reservation with my parents for Friday evening which I would recommend doing because it was very busy. We loved the atmosphere though - the building is kind of interesting and the decoration was very classy. Maybe the main area was a little loud, but we ended up seated in a semi-private room with one other table, so we had relative quiet. It was dim but not in a bad way. All of the staff was very friendly. Our waiter was attentive and enthusiastic but didn't come across as trying to upsell us. Drinks were excellent. I usually just go for beer, but the cocktail menu looked really interesting, so I got a cocktail was very glad I did. I got the rye-based "boss fight", which was very strong with unique, complex flavours. I also had many sips of my dad's earl grey cocktail - also very interesting and delicious - and my mom's "problem child" with non-alcoholic gin. They have a really nice non-alcoholic drink menu with different NA spirits too. Food was equally excellent. We got the muhammara appetizer, I had the butternut agnolotti for my entreee, and we shared a chocolate and a vanilla-cranberry bread pudding for dessert. My dad said the muhammara was one of the best dips he's ever had. The middle eastern flavour was a little different from stuff you usually get at American restaurants, and it was presented very nicely with different garnishes. The blue cheese cream sauce on the agnolotti was also a little different and really complimented the flavour of the squash. The bread pudding may have been the best bread pudding I've had in a restaurant - it was very moist but wasn't too sweet or too rich. The chocolate cake was kind of like an oreo cake with the thick vanilla frosting and cookie crumbs - not your generic chocolate cake with white frosting, but conventional enough that I think it would make anyone happy. Maybe the portions of the entrees alone are a little small, but I think they were the right size to enjoy along with a shared appetizer and dessert. Considering that, the prices are okay for upscale dining.
Went to C3 with my girlfriend and it was fantastic! It's a beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere, service and delicious food. Everything was first class and enjoyable. Many thanks to the great staff at C3 and we'll certainly be back soon!
C3 may be Bloomington’s most exciting hotspot for drinks and dinner. The mixed drinks were contemporary and delicious. Frites and Muhammara for appetizers. Salad, fish tacos, sirloin, and gnudi for main courses. Drinks included the painted warrior and blindside punch. The sirloin with chimichurri was out of this world. The sauce was so savory and it is by far the best sirloin I’ve ever had, and I generally do not like sirloin. The chef, however, changed my mind. I loved this Chef’s Special and would order it again and again.
Hip & trendy. Great crowd at the bar. The drinks were strong and expertly made.
Their food is exceptional and consistent! Their craft cocktails creative and high caliber! (Service tonight was a bit “off”. However, seems they MAY have “got slammed” with a few larger parties at the same time??? We sat waiting for a while. Several “service gaps”.)
Our first visit there with no reservations on a Friday night. We had a great experience. Wait wasn't too long. Menu looked great. Ordered a couple of drinks that came to the table quickly and tasted wonderful! The food, service and atmosphere were also fantastic. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This was a great little find!
My friend and I had dinner at c3 a few days ago. They had just rolled out a fall menu and it didn't disappoint. The mussels were some of the best I've ever had. My friend had the C3 burger which was huge and tasty. I had the gnocchi with chicken, amazing. Highly recommended C3, we had an amazing experience.
C3 is great. The company obviously was the best feature, but we were sat outside near the fountain and it was such an enjoyable environment to enjoy our food and drinks. No bill issues. Great prices for an upscale establishment. Dress nicely and expect great service. Although reservations haven't been mandatory, they're highly recommended. 2025 Thursday live jazz music.
Friendly, comfortable, not pretentious. Fun menu and really, really good food and cocktails. The burger was amazing and cooked perfectly to order. The Espresso Martini (see pic) had floral tones that brought it to next level delish. Highly recommend. Handicap accessible parking and entrance. Prices really reasonable for the quality of the food and environment.
Beautiful place to enjoy the evening outside. The tables are first come first served on their patio so get there a bit before the rush for no wait! On Mondays they have a $5 cocktail that they post on their Instagram, I highly recommend going for that promotion. The food is also excellent, I like the pork tenderloin and the sliders. The fries are fantastic as well.
Went here with my partner on a Monday evening—ordered white bean soup, plus muhammara as appetizers. The bean soup was ok, but the muhammara is AMAZING, I would not pass up the chance to try this, and I would order it every time I go back. We also got the fish (cod) and pork tenderloin medallions, which were both super good, but the cod was our favorite (the soup base was warm, buttery, and flavorful). Finally, we got the chocolate pudding for dessert, which reformed my opinion on the dish—it was delicious! The service could have been better, but the food was wonderful and the company was even better :)
This place is dine-in and the servers wear masks and keep their distance. Great place for premium cocktails. This is honestly the only place I'll get seafood aside from MuraSushi. Chef seems to know what they're doing so getting the chef's special is a safe bet. Desert was nice for single serving. Great soundtrack playing in the background.
Came in for a drink and apps. We shared the rosemary and lemon devilled eggs and chorizo burritos. They were light with great hints of flavor that meshed well with the appetizers. The cocktails were great, albeit small, with great flavor as well. Everything was refreshing. Prompt service as well.
Enjoyed a evening out as Husband & Wife. Resturant is not kid friendly. Recommend Baby sitter for kiddos. Adult atmosphere. Food was Excellent!!! Recommend to start off Crab Dip. If you are a nonacoholic person, they have options! We enjoyed the Chef Special with a Ceaser Salad and Chocolate dessert followed. Highly recommend this restaurant for Business, personal and date dinners.
First time here.. great drinks, beautiful environment, bartenders were very friendly and talkative. Service was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Got a couple of apps to share (sliders and frites) and the food came out quickly, we inhaled all of it. Delicious. They said we were lucky to get a seat at the bar because they are usually popular. Went on a Tuesday night and the whole place was almost full. Bar was mostly filled with regulars who were very friendly and happy to make conversation. Definitely will be coming back.
Enjoyed dinner and drinks with friends while back in town this evening. When we lived in Bloomington, C3 became our favorite weekly habit! Allison and Kat were gracious hosts, and Kat was attentive as always! Service was great, and food was delicious (as always—perhaps even better than I remembered)! We started the evening with the deviled eggs and the best Old Fashioneds in Bloomington! The patio dining can’t be beat—our favorite tables in town! The Caesar salad with crispy Brussels sprouts is a favorite as well. For entrees I had the pork tenderloin medallions (which were cooked perfectly); our party also enjoyed the vegetable tagine and the bolognese (both absolutely delicious). We finished the evening sharing a chocolate cake and a butterscotch budino (a long-time favorite). If you find yourself in Bloomington do NOT miss this hidden gem!
First of hopefully many times since I'm located in Indianapolis, but, the trip was worth it since the food and the drinks were marvelous. I loved the details, like the different theme cups for each cocktail. I look forward to coming back to try the Charcuterie and Cheese with some wine.
Best place we ate in Bloomington. The white bean soup was delicious. I had a chicken sitting on a base of butternut squash and a tapenade, and a smoked Margarita. 👌🏼 everybody in the place had a big smile on their faces. Had a very pleasant time and meal.
Always love going to C3! Probably one of my favorite places to eat in Bloomington. However this was my first time going while being over the age of 21! First drink I had was at the recommendation of the server, “Life on cloud nine”, which was great but maybe a little strong for my tastes haha. Second was a mojito, which I always love. :) Food-wise we ordered the frites for a starter. They were amazing, of course, but the Parmesan aioli was to die for. For the main course I ordered their steak, and it was tender & fabulous. Dessert we ordered to go, and I ordered their Quatro Leches cake. Which, let me tell you, I did not have a great night after leaving c3 but after eating the dessert when I got home, I was happier. :)
Amazing cocktails, truly next level stuff. Probably the most sofisticated cocktail bar in Bloomington. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Decor is comfortable and modern. Dinner is also no slouch. The menu doesn't really have any low points. From soup to nuts, everything is great. The chef specials are easy picks if you aren't sure.
Great appetizers in an upscale casual environment. Good wine and cocktails.
Everything we try here is delicious. The five by five was absolutely phenomenal and the soup and salad really hit the spot. I need to come back and try dessert. Yum!
Really nice place to go and have a “fancy” dinner
Lofi music in the background, great ambiance and excellent cocktails and food. Absolutely repeatable experience!
Stopped in on a Friday afternoon. The decor is upscale, vibey-modern, the cocktails exquisite and uniquely prepared and presented. The tapas is an excellent compliment to cocktail hour and the wait staff knowledgeable and engaging. My cocktail was the London Fog, crisp, dry and unexpectedly like a delicious liquid lemon meringue pie sans crust. 😉 Thanks for the excellent customer service Morgan.
Wonderful food and service! Nice atmosphere- will go back.
Went there to celebrate a birthday our server Andy was fantastic the food portions were quite reasonable and everything tasted amazing
Nick was awesome and a very knowledgeable Bartender/manager. People make you feel like you belong there.
Everyone is just so much nicer to each other here. Happy people are nice people. Thanks to great food and service. I love the food, drinks and service equally well.
My wife and I went here tonight for our anniversary. It was highly recommended to us and I’d say the praise it got was appropriate. The cocktails are great, the food was great, the dessert was great too! They even comped us the dessert because we were celebrating, so thank you C3 for that! My wife ordered the pork tenderloin and it was tender and very nicely seasoned. I ordered the C3 burger. If you plan on ordering it, bring a mop, it’s that juicy! It’s like an inch thick, too, and cooked to perfection! The fries were good as well, I highly recommend them. The bread was tasty but I felt it was the most unmemorable part of the meal. Regardless, I’m still giving 5 stars because everything else was great and the service was incredible! They came and checked up on us every few minutes, and I noticed all the staff doing the same for the tables surrounding us. Great food, friendly staff, a tad pricey, great location, and I’m overall satisfied and content. I will be returning!
Excellent food, portions seem small but we each got full. Drinks were unique and good. We had no noise problems. The desserts are AMAZING! I never have more than one or two bites of a dessert before I push it away. I didn’t push it away tonight. My husband was shocked. He had the carrot cake, and I had the mocha coffee custard. Will definitely return. Very nice place with friendly staff.
A Wednesday evening. Totally booked. No reservations got us a seat at the bar. Yay for that as we got Nick who welcomed us immediately and we stayed to eat there. Drinks were fabulous. Nagalotti was superb. Mussels perfect. Drinks! Just say yes. Apple puff pastry. I want a bowl of that cream. Will definitely return w my clients.
Always great drinks, food and service. The menu is smaller, but the deviled eggs and caesar salad are always dependable. The cocktails are ofc always enjoyable. The patio is one of the best in town too with a great chill atmosphere.
Always great! Drinks, food (deviled eggs) meeting spot - whatever! It's worth going to! This bar/restaurant definitely needs a space in your life!
It's a great bar and has very limited if any student attendance. I'd strongly encourage getting a reservation or sitting at the bar.
Jan 27th, 2026: My second visit and food remains to be great. Had the fish (Great combination), Brussels Sprout (App) was bit too salty but good taste, Winter Scarlet Treeline Cocktail was okay but not memorable, Bread Pudding was fine. 2 months ago: I was hard set to give this place 4 stars, dispite the excellent food due to extremely loud setting. Then I remembered it's supposed to be a bar. But given the price point, I would except a much more refined space and a lot lower volume. Service was good. (Not excellent) Not upto the standards you'd expect for the price point. But the food was excellent. We had Chef's Special (Chicken - Excellent), Agnolotti (Extremely small portion - Excellent) and Risotto (Good). And all three mains had very very small portions. (Even compared to other higher end places in Bloomington - and all three were supposed to be mains. Not small plates) Cocktails were good. Desert was the highlight, specially the Puff Pastry Apple Rose. Absolutely delightful. So was the Carrot Cake. Specially better with the Spiced Rum Pecans. Mocha Budino was not my cup of tea. But given it's heavy nature, filled the rest of out stomach. All in all, good food, small portions, loud.
C3 has good food but it is not inexpensive relative to other Bloomington locations with similar caliber fare and atmosphere. Personally a fan of sitting out doors here and unlike places near campus this is quiet with minimal foot traffic. I've yet to identify what I'd deem to be their "signature" dish so to speak but food has always been good albeit ala carte.
The food was good and the server was friendly. The atmosphere is great as well.
Nice local bar and restaurant, they usually have live music (jazz) after 7pm. I was totally surprised the other night by their pork chop special, it was incredibly tender and moist, and well flavored; some of the best I have had. They said a slow smoke was the secret. Their flavored butter is also quite good.
Good food, small and nicely varied selections. Friendly service in a nice new location.
The meal was delicious. I had the filet and he had the chicken. The cocktails, particularly the gin gimlets, were fantastic. I loved the ambience!
Small but interesting menu, large selection of drinks.
We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was good and the drinks were awesome. I enjoyed a virgin specialty drink that was superb.
The food was good, just overpriced. They definitely have really good deals on alcohol, though, so will be going back for events focused on that.
The food here is excellent, and overall it’s a great place for dinner. The only point of concern is the restaurant’s strict policy on modifications—when I requested a flatbread without olives, they declined, even though it only required removing a few. While I respect that some dishes are meant to be served as designed, a bit more flexibility would enhance the dining experience.
Updated April, 2025. We had reservations for four well in advance and had a last minute 5th wanting to join however we were told that they were unable to add an additional seat. We were left with the option of waiting for an hour with no guarantee or canceling. Sad that it felt a bit haughty. Had a delightful time meeting my family at the C3 Bar during my visit to Bloomington. To my pleasant surprise, the establishment was exceptionally clean and exuded an upscale ambiance. The service staff demonstrated utmost friendliness and professionalism, while the culinary offerings were simply exquisite. Every dish we tried was remarkable, but the C3 burger stood out as an extraordinary creation. The entire table was unanimous in their high praise for the establishment. I highly recommend C3 Bar and eagerly anticipate my next visit.
Great outside spot on a cool evening. The fountain and location made for a great environment. Service was OK, not great. We were not offered outside seating and had to ask for it. I also was not asked if I liked the table I was first sent to. Server walked past a couple times without looking at us while we were waiting for him. I had an empty cup twice before he noticed. I over tipped and regret it. Food was OK and more expensive than warranted. Duck texture was great although the sauce was not as good in my opinion as I've had at other places for duck--for example, Siam House. Duck portion was less than expected. Fish was good--would recommend. Burger was $20 with fries and quite boring. I could taste the seasoning on the burger which was good. The bun and everything else on it made me feel like I grilled my own and got stuff from Kroger. You can get a way better and more memorable burger for less money at Bru. Fries were great; I like hand-cut with the skin still on it. They were perfectly crisp, warm, and seasoned well. Dessert was good. I had the butterscotch option per the server's recommendation. I did not have drinks. There was a wide selection of drinks, and I feel like that is the reason to come here. If I come back it will be to get drinks but probably not any food. Overall the bill was over $100 plus a generous tip. Not a bad time on a quiet Monday evening but more expensive than it was worth.
🌟✨C3 ✨🌟 vibes: 👌👍 Long wait🥱, but the burger rocked! 🍔 🎇 Tajine🥘? Not so much. 🌟 Overall, a mixed experience.🌟
We were seated in an alcove next to the server starion. Service was a little slow. Cocktails were fair. My dish came with risotto, and I will say that I've never had this served al dente before. It was tasty. My husband, on the other hand, did not care for the hamburger.
Ordered the duck breast special. The serving was incredibly small. I expected more of a portion size for $28. After eating dinner, I had to go out to find a piece of pizza to satiate myself.
