The Bowery location is my favorite. The egg tarts are what attracted me in the first place and then discovered so much more. I also have to compliment the staff, especially one who's name is Miracle. She is always so helpful and friendly. I really like the 3 for $10 special. This place can be addictive so be warned. 😂 Also, when you buy a pastry you can get a coffee for $1.00. Great deal
This awesome bakery is located in front of the Manhattan Bridge, in the heart of Chinatown ! I love shopping here for my fresh pastries and coffee ! My favorites are roast pork bun, German pudding, coconut pastry, the chocolate crisp cookie, the chicken cucumber sandwich, the scallion toast, egg tarts, the Japanese cheese cake , and all their cakes are delicious + fresh ! Most of all, I love the service by “Miracle “, she is helpful, very nice to all customers and very friendly - as if you walked into her home for dinner ! What a gracious host she is @ the bakery and lovely as well ! 💕 If you haven’t patronaged this bakery, one should, it’s a very nice place to meet a friend for tea, delicious coffee or a specialize drink over nice music and a great atmosphere! They have a special running for specific bake goods 3 for $10.00…. Can’t beat that 💕☕️
Nice little bakery in Chinatown, they have few good expresso drinks options. I love their Matcha latte & Caramel Latte. Have been visiting twice a months when i come to Chinatown for business trip. Their customer services are always so nice!
Super cute bakery overlooking the Manhattan Bridge.i love the seating near the window it has croissants on the back rest. The bakery is super clean and neat, staff are the perfect amount of social for introverted types, displays are always neat and well stocked. Everything is super fresh. I've visited 2x so far and loved everything I've eaten from them. I haven't tried their drinks yet but their baked good are super tasty 😋
This is a cute little bakery. It’s a chain, but don’t let that fool you. Bake Culture has a huge selection of sweet and savory baked goods. I tried several items, and they were all delicious and fresh. There is plenty of space to eat in, and it is exceptionally clean. This was my first time at a Tawainese bakery, and I highly recommend it!
I've passed by the bakery on several occasions while in Chinatown and was able to go in today for the first time. They have so many food options whether you're in the mood for sweet or savory. The staff was a lady named Miracle who was so kind and helpful. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the bakery and saw Miracle wiping down the seats after each customer. Definitely stop by the shop for the delicious food, $0.50 coffee (with purchase), and the vibes!
These are the BEST egg tarts I've ever had in my ENTIRE life. Usually they're sitting out in the cold in other bakeries, but these guys bake it fresh and serve it steaming hot. Every single bite tasted creamy and heavenly! I visited when they were selling egg tarts for a $1 each. I tried one, loved it, and instantly went back to give them more money. I bought 4 more for my mom since she always bought them for me when I was a kid.
A break from the craziness of Chinatown! Calm music, wooden and minimalistic decoration. Simple place. Love the croissant 🥐 and baguette 🥖 seat rests inside the bakery. They offer 3 pastries x $10! Good deal! I haven’t ate yet what I bought but I like it so far. They have a good variety of sweet and salty pastries. Also boba 🧋 drinks.
After our Mid-Autumn Festival dinner, I insisted we hunt for mooncakes even though most bakeries were probably closed. That's how I wound up at Bake Culture, where we gorged on the perfectly made (though pricey) Purple Taro and Red Bean mini-Mooncakes. The Condensed Milk Bun was a disappointment--not enough filling, but the classic Coconut Bun was perfect. While Chinese/Taiwanese bakeries abound here, Bake Culture edges out in my memory by being open late enough to make a good post-dinner dessert spot. Also gotta love the seat backs that are shaped like croissants and baguettes.
Went in this cute lil bakery trying to find a cake for a birthday, they had a few small cakes, we needed a larger sized cake. Compared to the pictures before going in, different designs at the time from what I recorded. They did have a huge selection of pastries and some sandwiches. And different tea drinks that we ended up getting as well. I bought a red bean bun and did like it. Indoor seating was blocked off at this location.
Expensive considering there are many Asian bakeries in the neighborhood with lower prices. I hate the way the goods are packaged. The pastries are sealed in a way that when you open it, you have to eat the whole thing. The bag rips open and you cannot reseal it and you can't even keep it in the bag because it's ripped open. I love taro buns. As pretty as the taro bun is here, the taro filling inside has no flavor. It is well filled, but what does that matter when it's flavorless. There are much better quality and cheaper bakeries within a block or two.
Mixed experience here. Their signature pineapple pastry is delicious. The green tea pastry was oily, rancid and not very pleasant. The German pudding was bland and not flavorful. These two are best avoided. The seashell pastry was very good with a delicate buttered toast flavor. The coconut cream pastry was also okay. We got the 500ml of rose oolong hot tea and it was $5 - which was odd because on the menu the cold version was only $3.60. Overall, the place is expensive and not really extraordinary. I would get selected items here and get tea elsewhere in Chinatown.
