Great selection of beers. Spacious environment built for the spring/summer Bartenders and staff overall is cool and nice. Not a full service as far as outside table service, that's due to the current environment and rules. I appreciated that though because I enjoy getting my own drinks and food, which are quickly served at the bar. I usually don't enjoy big venues but this one set the standard high for me.
Awesome spot for large groups! We hosted our after party here post our wedding nearby and it was perfect. Great late night snacks, vibe, and attentive team. Highly recommend for both day and evening drinks!
Always a great spot for a good beer. Selection is very good with nice local beers and other ones on tap. Can play a game of Jenga. Sit with lots of friends or small groups. Great atmosphere. Bar food is great too.
This place is good as HECK. We tried 4 different sausages (2 different beef, venison, and the rabbit + veal) and they were fantastic. Pretzel buns were perfect as well and the fries were excellent. Timing was also great considering they were definitely fairly busy (it was Friday night). Great beer selection, too. My only real complaint was a bit of initial confusion on walk-in as to how to order food, but that was cleared up within just a few minutes of entering (not only are there signs on the tables about how to order from your table on their site [!] but they're friendly at the bar as well). Probably gonna have to make this a regular stop, if only to try the rest of the menu. Great for groups small and large. Nice atmosphere -- really comfortable. Get the house sauce. You're probably gonna want extra. It's incredible.
Very cool open-concept spot. Great atmosphere, and reasonably priced drinks. Would be a great spot to bring a large group, or go to HH with a group of co-workers. Did not get a chance to try the food but the brats and classic fried bar food looked delicious!
We attended a wedding party there and besides our group, there were lots of others enjoying the atmosphere. The drinks were delicious served by a very friendly bartender. – Ty. It was well located in Williamsburg.
Eli the bartender was such a nice human. Let me charge my phone which I desperately needed and so kind to all customers. Recommend!
Great spot for large groups. A ton of beer selections and the mixed drinks were good too. Hot dogs and fries are just what you need. No complaints from anyone in our group. Would definitely go back.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. We reserved a table for my husbands surprise 40th (which happens to fall on Super Bowl Sunday) and the staff set aside a few tables for us far away from the viewing section so we could celebrate. The set up is perfect for a party like this—people can just open their own tabs at the bar, order whatever food they want. There were toooons of drink options (something for everyone! I loved all the beer choices) and the staff was attentive and quick and friendly. Love the real roaring fire right at the center of the venue! We’ll definitely be back, and we specifically recommend this if you’re looking for a venue for a larger party, too.
Nice vibe and wonderful people. Beer selection is great. Eli is the best!! Shout out to Will on his bday!!!
Good vibes, spacious and friendly staff! Perfect for big groups during warmer weather! They currently offer $7 drinks til 7pm!
Love this place. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The beer’s good, the food’s good and the vibe’s good. What else can you ask for? I’d give it 6 stars if I could. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Great spot for groups. Indoor/outdoor vibes. Eli and the bar staff are super attentive and quick.
Before the Amazing Grace premiere party, I stopped by Spritzenhaus33 for a bite and a pint of piwo (beer in Polish). The kielbasa and fries were cooked to perfection, and the beer was crisp and refreshing, just the kind of spot I’d love to revisit with a group! For a moment, it felt like I was already in Germany…a perfect prelude to my upcoming two-day adventure in Berlin!
Good food, good vibes...Great bartenders.....no complaints here
We were the oldest couple there celebrating our daughter’s graduation. We had a ball. Great venue for the 20 something crowd!!
good selection of beer, vibes are fun
We went there with some kids on a Saturday and we were not able to go in but we could sit outside, order and bring it out. We were are bit shocked because it was not our first time there but we like the place a lot . There is a vegan sausage… love that there is an option for us. Great beer selection.
A great spot just above McCarren Park. Good selection of beers, ciders, cocktails, and pubby German fare. Lots of tables to sit at, with table games, and sort of an indoor-outdoor atmosphere. It's a fun place for pints with friends.
A great place to grab a drink in the summer, especially if you have a group. The bar has a great selection of delicious food and a huge beer and cider menu. The walls open up giving a great atmosphere and access to outdoor seating. Food and drink service are quick and staff are knowledgeable and kind.
This place was absolutely popping when I went and surprisingly enough, one of the staff told me that it was a slow night for them. The vibe here is pure Brooklyn and you can take away from that what you will. Crowd was a decent mix, seemed like late twenties to mid thirties mainly peppered with other older folk. I liked the food and the beer selection was on point. Would recommend this place without any hesitation. Curious to see what this place is like when it’s running full steam.
This is THE place to go! They were the most welcoming, comfortable vibe in the neighborhood! Doorman and Bartenders were awesome!!!
Such an amazing spot with lots of beer options, also got a great staff. Mira was very nice and attentive as well as the rest of the staff, definitely recommend for big parties as well!
The best, please stay in Greenpoint forever. Fun establishment, plenty of space, cool aesthetic.
Eli was the best bartender we’ve had! So attentive, always had the best recommendations and made our visit so fun! Can’t wait to go back again!
Very large space with tons of seating. Lively atmosphere. Great place for group meet-ups or just a nice place to go and sit and work and be by yourself for as long as you want and not get shoo’d away from your table.
I'm from Germany and I can confirm this place is legit: authentic beer, lecker sausage, European fries (Pommes) and everyone getting a little too loud having fun. They even had Kölsch beer from Cologne and a light "Allgash" that's probably a Allgäuer Helles.
Best beer garden in Brooklyn! I’ve been here in the winter but summer with the open air atmosphere, easy menu and endless beers on tap makes it the perfect afternoon stop off. I tried the Krainerwurst pork sausage with slaw and the chipotle aioli that adds a little heat and unexpected spice. Friendly vibe and pleasant staff!
Spritzenhaus is a Brooklyn staple in summer or winter. They boast a great beer selection at two bars, as well as delicious bratwurst, sausages, fries, and pretzels. In the winter they'll have the fireplace roaring. In the summer they'll open the windows wide and it feels more like a beer garden. It can get crowded on the weekends, but absolutely worth the visit.
Space is huge and welcoming, I got to get back here when it’s not slushy and ugly snow outside. However, I had a great time. I was here for a meetup that had more than 50 people and there's a separate meetup going on, plenty of room for both with patrons coming and going in between. Due to my meetup happening much later in the night, I wasn't in the mood to try the food (another reason to come back). Everyone that I spoke to enjoyed the pretzels and fries, I had a beer that started with a K that was my first time trying it and it hit the spot. I dug the restroom and handwashing station. All good vibes here from staff and clientele! Oh it's pretty close to the G train stop, extra points!
It's a great place for a group event. Good fries and bratwurst at decent prices. There are non alcoholic options for those who don't imbibe. It's also child-friendly for the parents out there. The game jenga is placed on every table.
Came here around 7pm on a Monday. Great atmosphere, tasty apps, wonderful service. Had the Old Fashioned with some Fries. Miss the wood fireplace and that smokey smell., Now its gas fired. Still great on a cold winter evening. 👌
Great place to host a small party/gathering! Their manager is responsive and booking tables for your group is very easy. Good drinks and good vibes!
Spritzenhaus33 offered an outstanding experience! They had good happy hour deals, an amazing drink and food selection, and a friendly welcoming staff from the chefs to the bartenders to the security staff. My bartender, Eli, was awesome! He knows how to make some mean beverages and made sure my drink never stayed empty. Best of all he set the vibes high and never let there be a dull moment at the bar. I would highly recommend Spritzenhaus33 and look forward to visiting again soon!
With a massive selection of beers in a huge area to gather this is a great place to hang out if you’re a beer drinker. Unfortunately the food experience I felt was a little lacking. I ordered the kielbasa with peppers and onions in the roll was so soggy I could not pick it up. I ate it with a fork and knife, but I found the sausage to not be very flavorful. You also have to go get your own food, which is fine, but they have no way of notifying you. You just have to go up there and check.
Last night was a blast at Spritzenhaus33! The atmosphere was electric, with a great crowd and fantastic music. The sausages were delicious - a perfect bar snack. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a fun night out and Great Vibe, Good Food, and Awesome Music!!!
The space is very very big, the outdoor seating has Heaters in the winter!, and the window wall can fully open on nice days. Get there early to sit by the large wood burning fireplace at the entrance. Hard skip when it's packed. Many good beers & ciders, the sausages are ok but the French Fries are Great!
Was here yesterday for my cousins Joseph and Lauren’s daughter Esmeralda’s first birthday. Very crowded for a Saturday afternoon. Enjoyed a can of hard cider, a Sigmund soft pretzel and bratwurst. Loved the Christmas tree and the cozy fireplace. Really enjoy going to German beer halls
Fun place for a beer, nice afternoon crowds, I set up and had a couple delicious beers while working. Nice draft selection, cocktails too, excellent for casual dining and large groups, has an approachable on-brand menu. Super close to the park and other spots right off Manhattan and the G train, close to the Yard co-working spot (the sign right above this place can have you thinking one is the other). Clean and open space. A couple nice bars.
Really enjoyed the German beers on tap here on an impromptu Saturday night visit. It was definitely busy but there’s plenty of space here. Seems to be a good place for big groups. The food came out fast and they put the bratwurst in a pretzeled bun which I thought was delicious. Ample serving of sauerkraut. They have some specialty bratwursts too which id like to go back and check out.

Been getting very crowded as of late on weekend nights. As a result they’re understaffed. But the food is still great, and the selection of beers is also great.
5pm on Sunday bar staff clobered after busy day. Barely holding on. Service spotty. Chicken Sandwich good. Fries cold after waiting a bit for them. Great place for huge groups. Loud. Good beer selection. Jalapeno slaw is mild and unmemorable.
Great beer, but a bit too slammed for my taste. Id say on a slower night it would be awesome. The location is super great, though.
Excellent beer garden for a mug of craft beer at a great price. Expect this place to be packed on a weekend. I highly recommend reserving a table for groups larger than 4. This spot is huge and has a very fun and loud atmosphere, perfect for the summer. The bathrooms are also very nice!
Great casual place, almost an "urban ski lodge" ambiance. Large area with picnic table seating, wood burning fire place, table games, etc. Service was very friendly. Great craft beer selection, should be something for everyone. We did not dine there but the menu features several types of sausage and toppings...next time. If you are looking for a fun casual place, I recommend you give it a try!
Place is hopping busy all day long on Saturdays. Very family friendly.. always see kids & toddlers there. Had the $11 Argentinian sausage roll with jimaca slaw, not gourmet but pretty good as a casual eat. The pretzel is made fresh after you order. Lots of local beer choices at decent prices $8-$10 range.
Great place to go with a large group of friends. It was particularly great because they accept dogs 🐶 We celebrated a friend’s birthday here and we were able to accommodate a large group. They had a good variety of beers, ciders and cocktails for all different tastes so it was quite a fun time.
I'm pretty sure the Brad Lander for Mayor social event got cancelled today (5/29/25), but I came here anyway to have a refreshing Hofbrau in honor of a candidate whose ideas 💡, career, & intestinal fortitude seem to be quite refreshing in American politics. I've definitely never been in this fine biergarten before, & it's been a very long time since I walked on this block. I still think you should rank Lander first 🥇🏆 in the upcoming NYC mayoral primary election (June 24, 2025).
Spritzenhaus33, an expansive temple dedicated to the convivial rites of communal libation, embraces the reveler with an ambience that marries rustic charm with industrial spaciousness. Here, the essence of a classic beer garden is reimagined—vast open areas punctuated by unpretentious seating under the watchful eyes of a scattered assembly, creating an ideal tableau for the orchestration of gregarious gatherings. The establishment’s beer portfolio, while respectable, demands a tribute that may stretch the purse strings, reflecting a premium on the diverse elixirs offered within. Culinary offerings, though laudable in flavor, present a Spartan challenge in portion size, juxtaposing gastronomic pleasure against fiscal prudence. Central to its character, a stately fireplace stands as a beacon of warmth, both literal and metaphorical, flanked by playful sets of jenga that invite a light-hearted engagement amidst the stoic timbers. The staff, guardians of the draught, conduct their ministrations with a detached efficiency, subtly guiding patrons towards a generosity perhaps unearned, with a default gratuity setting that raises eyebrows as often as it empties wallets. Spritzenhaus33 thus serves as a sanctum for those seeking to forge memories in large assemblies, its halls echoing with the laughter of celebrants partaking in casual festivity, though it offers little beyond the fundamental joys of shared experience and crafted ale.
Large bar. Too loud to hear much. Don’t enjoy yelling over each other. The only issue I had was the crowd. Lots of rude men who wouldn’t move out of the way. The food was good and the drinks were okay.
I was here a few years ago and decided to revisit. The space is huge. This is a very nice Beer Hall in Greenpoint. It is light and airy. I enjoy sitting at the bar but they do have large communal tables. They also have outdoor seating. This time around I ate something. I had the Smash Cheeseburger and it was very good and at a great price, $11. Their Happy Hour Beers are good at $5. They have a large selection of beers and a full bar. The service is fast. The only drawback is that the bartenders here don't engage much with the customers, but they're nice enough. The atmosphere is laid back. I will most likely return at some point.
Cool beer hall with a lot of beer selections. Can also grab one of there brats to soak up some of that beer

We actually made the trip to Brooklyn to visit spritzenhaus. The crowd is on the younger side but the beer is good, outdoor seating is refreshing and sausages are good.
We enjoyed so much, plus the service was considered and helpful. It would be great to add gluten free beer in the menu. Recommended!

Decent food and drink selection in an expansive location. Subtracting 2 stars for terrible service... bartender was so disengaged from his job that he walked away while I was giving my order. This would have been funny if not for the default 25% gratuity.
I've been here a few times, and it's always packed. Essentially, it's an indoor beer garden with a real fireplace that adds a warm and cozy touch. While the tables tend to be a bit sticky, it's a solid spot for beers and spirits. The cocktails, however, are pretty disappointing. That said, it's a great place to hang out with friends, especially for large gatherings, thanks to the spacious layout and lively atmosphere.
very popular bar, good German beer and sausages. Their bartenders are not the friendliest but it’ll do esp with how busy they get. I am confused about the food menu. Be wary of your order. I ordered the krainerwurst sausage expecting a smoked garlic pork & beef sausage with chipotle aioli sauce as advertised. I got a dry sausage. When I asked where the chipotle aioli sauce was, they said “it’s in the sausage”. I said that doesn’t sound correct. They had to bring out someone from the back in order for me to get a side of chipotle aioli sauce as advertised. They told me a side of sauce is an extra $1. I told them their menu seems like false advertising. ?

Came down with a nasty bout of food poisoning after having the bratwurst… /:
Decently priced drinks, great location. The bartenders are comically awful however. Unfriendly and just generally bad at customer service. My friend and I sat at the bar, and were actually stunned watching how long others waited to even be acknowledged. After the first round of drinks we figured we’d go elsewhere; perhaps this was their goal quite frankly.
“Security” kicked us out from the outdoor seating because my fiancé didn’t have her ID, never checked my ID when I went in to order a beer. I get that it’s your job, but sir, we are clearly in our 30s, it’s not that serious.

I ordered food and a beer but I had a Starbucks too and the security remove me from the outside table for the Starbucks cup.
Couldn’t sit outside without a physical ID even if not drinking. The official NYS digital ID wasn’t accepted. Security was rude and condescending. My group of 7 went elsewhere. Will never return.
This place wouldn't let us in on a Saturday, early afternoon because "they had a bunch of groups reserved". Used to come here all the time . Shame it came to this.
The rims of both the beer glasses we were served beer in were badly cracked. This was impossible to tell when the glass was full and we only noticed after drinking. Glasses in that condition should never be given to customers to drink out of. Not just one, both. Scary and dangerous.
This place could be awesome, good beers and a good layout! Pretzels are delicious, and they have a cozy vibe for the winter. Most people from the neighborhood have the same opinion about the bartenders, they all rude! They treat everyone like garbage, any bar manager would go insane watching them interact with people and their lack of social skills. Do not go here if you’re expecting good service, do not go here if you want to be treated well, go spend your money anywhere else in that corner.
I went to this this place with my wife, had 2 Burguers, beers and went to a party at The Lot. A block away. It was raining and we decided to come back. I was drinks a beer bought on The Lot. So I stayed on the canopy. A guy at the entrance ordered me to go away. I went back to the rain, finalized my can and tried to went back. He HOLD me and put me out of the bar!!. He told me that I’m not allowed to go in to the bar. IS IT SERIOUS?
Absolutely Awful Experience – Do Not Recommend I came to this bar in the afternoon with my wife and my service dog, simply looking to relax and have a drink. What we encountered instead was deeply disappointing and frankly unlawful. At the entrance, the bouncer (a Black male, for identification purposes only) checked our IDs, which is standard. However, he then interrogated me about my service dog, first asking, “What service does your dog provide?” — a question that is permissible under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). But then he crossed a legal and ethical line by demanding, “Can you show me your dog performing the service?” Let me be clear: this is illegal under the ADA, which explicitly prohibits businesses from requiring documentation, certification, or demonstration of a service dog’s tasks. His actions were discriminatory, harassing, and unacceptable. After this encounter, we chose not to enter — and I’m glad we didn’t. Looking through other reviews, it’s clear this place has a pattern of rudeness and poor customer service. This was not a one - off experience. If you are a person with a disability, or just someone who respects basic human decency, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are far better bars in the area that know how to treat all guests with respect.
Bar management / owner was very rude to my party. We were a group of non-white friends who reserved a table beforehand for a birthday, and he made us give up one of our tables for another group of white customers who just showed up (we had many more people in our party, who had to stand), and spoke to us very nastily while doing it. Clear discrimination.
Manager kicked out a group of Asian people who had just arrived for a birthday party (and reserved the table), so a group of White people could sit instead. Blatant, and rude about it.
Very bad experience. I was with my girlfriend and some friends ordering at the bar. We made a mistake with one of the drinks, but we told the bartender we would pay for it anyway and just wanted to get what we actually meant to order. The bartender (bald and tattooed) treated us extremely poorly: he gave us dirty looks, spoke to us in a rude way, threw our card back at us, and almost slammed the glasses we asked for. All of our friends saw the interaction and were shocked as well. We were left feeling very uncomfortable, even with the sense that it might have been discriminatory because we are Latino. As a local guide, I cannot recommend a place where the staff treats customers this way.
Came here to celebrate completing a half marathon with all my friends and the bouncer turned me away for having an expired id. He then said to my friends “you’re lucky I’m even letting her sit outside” meanwhile there are literal children sitting at the tables as well. He watched us like a hawk the entire time from his post 🤣 what a welcoming atmosphere… soft pretzel didn’t even have beer cheese 0/5
I normally love this place. Chill, good food, good beer, good vibes. I’ve taken my parents there. I went today and the bouncer was disrespectful, rude and out of line. My partner didn’t have her physical ID and couldn’t even sit outside with us (she wasn’t going to order a drink). I’m honestly confused why there is a bouncer checking IDs at 7pm when during the day it’s open for folks to bring their children…when I spoke to the nice bartender it seemed clear her hands were tied because of the third party contractor…who is flying the plane here? The bouncer acted as the manager that night and he made it clear he didn’t care if he lost 7 patrons that night…
