I've gone there for years..it's a pure dive bar. The Margaritas during the summer are a good way to have a good time. If a bartender by the name of Sam is there..you'll have a good time..one of the best bartenders I've known.

Been passing by for the longest time and always meant to stop on. Glad I did tonight-this dive is exactly the kind of vibe I go for-no fuss, no muss, and great music on one of the (many) TVs. They also have a pool table and jukebox, so that’s a plus too.

Very dive-y, old school, no-frills bar. I don't understand why it's called Turkey's Nest (but I think it's part of the charm), and I don't like that all their drinks are served in to-go plastic cups regardless if you're staying or going (bad for the environment), but they have good prices and pool.

Any place can be a great place when you have your peoples with you :) This place was great. Awesome drinks. Their frozen margaritas are the sh*t according to my group but I stopped messing with tequila years ago. Definitely a great neighborhood bar with the grumpiest of grumps manning the bar. He was great though. I say that with love. You'll have a good time.

This is a great dive bar to get smashed at. It's cash only which kind of sucks. They serve drinks in fast food cups which is kind of hilarious. There is also a pool table.

It's a divey sports bar. I could see it getting pretty wiley and bro-y on weekend nights, but it wasn't during the day for us. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was empty. They have a pool table for $1 and serve all different types of domestic beers. They also have some frozen margaritas but they're in that rotating slushie machine, so I would be cautious with those. Friendly staff.

It's a dive bar, so lower your expectations. The beers are cheap, it's cash only (there's an ATM), there's one pool table, two bathrooms, and there's at least four big-screen TVs above the bar. There's no kitchen, but they don't object to bringing in outside food. Just a no frills dive bar across the street from McCarran Park.

Walked in super early on a Saturday and place was empty so can’t comment on the typical atmosphere. Not a good bar for playing pool at all though. Cues are crooked and you’re up against a wall for a lot of shots. Only real plus was our drinks were served in plastic cups, so we were able to walk with them

I have never eaten anything here so I have no idea how the food tastes. The bar has the local corner bar feel to it. It is dark, and uneventful with decent music. The bar serves Xtra Large Margaritas in to go glasses. Get a margarita and head over to McCarren Park on a nice day. Lay in the sun, absorb some rays, drink, and pass out at least once before you leave New York if you are a transplant with a leaving date, you will not regret it. The yummy margaritas make this a great place to go to.
