Had the most lovely time celebrating our anniversary with my husband. Staff is incredibly kind and attentive and the food is delicious. We will certainly be back and are looking forward to it already!

Amazing addition to the neighborhood! The food is exceptional - delicious fresh pastas, perfect salads and apps and fun italian cocktails! This place blows the competition out of the water and there is lots in Carroll Gardens / Cobble Hill. What makes this place stand out is the vacation-like atmosphere, the attention to detail, and most of all the friendly and welcoming staff who are always smiling and make you feel like you are in for a fun experience! We have been twice in the past week and we've said how we cant wait to bring our family and friends when they visit from out of town.

Some of the best, most slept on red sauce Italian that I've ever had. Let the tourists keep going to Carbone. I'll keep Cafe Spaghetti to myself.... Aside from this public review

Everything was delicious. Caesar salad, crostini and meatballs for appetizers. Mezze crab rigatoni and the tiramisu were all so good. You won't regret coming here.

Holy cow—this place is truly a hidden gem! Run, don’t walk, to experience the incredible hospitality and absolutely phenomenal food. Hands down the best Italian I’ve had in Brooklyn in over 20 years of living here. We’ll definitely be back. Huge shoutout to the amazing hostess, Lucy, who won me over with her warmth the second I walked in. Hanah was just as lovely and a fantastic server. Every single dish we ordered was five stars—even the garlic knots were next level.

I just went here for the first time for a wedding. The space was stunning, the food was incredible (probably the best wedding food I’ve ever had), the drinks were too good and abundant, and the service was top notch. One of the servers safety pinned my dress when I experienced a minor malfunction. Thank you cafe spaghetti!

So happy for Cafe Spaghetti to come to the neighborhood! From the food to the service, everything was great. They just recently opened and I can tell they they are going to succeed in Carroll Gardens/Columbia Waterfront. I went with friends this evening and we had a pleasant time. To start, their backyard is extremely cute and well designed with open outdoor space (perfect for covid safety) but covered enough where you won’t get rained on. Had a beautiful Italian taste to it. We ordered the rice balls (cacio e pepe!), spiendini alla Romana (fried artichoke - yum!), meatballs, and their arugula insalats (I’m always whatever about ordering salads but this salad is a must and will order every time!). For my meal I had the fussili grosso and I wasn’t disappointed! It was meaty and hearty and perfect for the rainy weather. You CAN’T leave without trying their hazelnut gelato. Oh man… this was perfectly made! The right amount of hazelnut in every bite. I wish I took a picture but I couldn’t stop myself from eating it. Highly recommend and would certainly go back. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Fun casual place with a large rear courtyard space (covered with A/C), great food and service. Our server was Janelly who was absolutely delightful, professional and amazingly knowledgeable about the broad range of Italian wines. Definitely worth visiting.

Attended a wedding at Cafe Spaghetti this weekend and had an exceptional time. Yes, the bride and groom are beyond gorgeous and funny so like, this wedding was going to be good no matter what. But! I’m taking the time to write a review not just to brag about my hot friends but to also thank Cafe Spaghetti bc the food, drinks and service were amazing. Their personable waitstaff (chuckled along with the joke but didn’t linger) brought around what felt like a nonstop parade of food & drinks - rice balls, rigatoni, ravioli, steak, spaghetti- it was all so good! Cafe Spaghetti will absolutely be on our short list of “places to eat” next time we’re in NYC. And if I get divorced it will be on my short list of “places for my next wedding.”

Omg..amazing place! Found this restaurant on Google while running errands. I am so glad we did! The place has amazing atmosphere. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food..fantastic! We had the rice balls (best I ever had), meatballs, the yogurt/honey/figs, the poached eggs in sauce (like and Italian shakskuka) and the pancakes. Everything was amazing! I can't wait to go for dinner. I live in Queens and have no problem driving to Brooklyn for this place!

Best authentic Italian cuisine! Amazing staff and service! I had a classic burrata app. For main, the eggplant parm which was incredible! Paired with red wine and a cannoli for dessert. They now serve more cocktails. It’s a great spot to bring your friends and family!

Got the cavatelli and the spaghetti spritz + their coconut drink. All was delicious, highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood, its popular so may be a wait but there are a few bars around the corner.

Probably nine of the best ten meals I’ve eaten my life were in Italy so when I find a place that takes me close, even if not completely there I can hardly contain my enthusiasm. Cafe Spaghetti (despite its unfortunate kid-sounding name) is one of those places, despite being hidden away in Carroll Gardens. I’ve been twice and even though it’s a long trip from Manhattan each visit has been a revelation. As far as “Italians” go, this place is better than anything in Manhattan, other than maybe Carbone in its early days. This last time, the linguine with clams and the fusilli bolognese were just heavenly. While the cannoli was not as good as the first time, it was still very good. The wine was excellent and the service perfect. The place is packed and has a wonderful vibe. It has an unpretentious local feel (nicely no wine costs over $100) and a healthy mix of clientele. While very out of the way this can be a destination restaurant combined with a walk on Union Street (which has its own amazing restaurants). Don’t miss it!

Walked in at 5:30, seated alone, no wait, quick service, food was 1000% top notch. My favorite part was the tiny, thin slices of garlic in the vongole pasta that looked like little slices of mushroom, but we're perfectly browned and tender, smooth garlic. The pasta was perfect, the clams, out of this world.

Sheesh. I’m reluctant to even write this review because it’s going to make it that much harder to grab a table but this is my new favorite restaurant in Brooklyn - no doubt about it. The staff was insanely friendly, the aesthetic was wonderful, and there’s a gorgeous backyard, indoor spots, and an outdoor area in front too. We had this twist on an aperol spritz with olives in it… my lord. Then we did a watermelon salad and meatballs to start. Arguably the best meatballs I’ve had in my life and to cut it with the tomato & watermelon salad on a hot summer day - chefs kiss. We split some orecchiette and ravioli as our main dishes. Both pastas were headshakingly delicious. Fresh, warm, and perfect portion sizes. We finished the evening off with hazelnut gelato & lemon sorbet. Pound for pound my favorite restaurant in the city and it’s so reasonably priced. Even if this makes it harder for me a table, the staff there deserves to know how special of a place they created.

Lovely, romantic restaurant with a reverse chic name. The quality of their cuisine is excellent. Every one of our 6 person party enjoyed his/her main course and our shared appetizers. Desserts were delicious -- again passed around among us to sample. My favorite was the fusilli Bolgnese. Each member of our group travels to Italy frequently and none of us found Cafe Spaghetti below the standards of fine Italian dining. The ambience of a fully covered very well finished backyard is an excellent touch. The careful, cheerful, wait staff was a delight. Cafe Spaghetti is my favorite Italian restaurant in Brooklyn and Italy.

Came here by myself early friday evening. and it was fantastic! i was sat at the bar immediately where the bartender, kyle, took care of me all night. i started with the crostini and for my main i had the ravioli as per kyles suggestion and it was DELICIOUS, for dessert i got the house made tiramisu which was also incredible. overall amazing experience, i will be coming back ! :)

Fantastic Food & Service. Our reservation was for 2 on the front patio but they sat us at a 4 top in the lovely garden. Great vibe, the space is warm and inviting, all of the music you’d expect to hear is playing at a volume that doesn’t impede conversation. Our server Michael was awesome and super friendly, his pacing of the ordering/meal completely enhanced our experience. He was knowledgeable about every dish on the menu, gave great recommendations and most importantly didn’t rush our dining experience despite being one of the last seatings. The food was delicious, original, appropriately portioned, and reasonably priced. All of the staff was super friendly and accommodating. My only issue with tonight was with “a new guy” who made too big of a deal about our server leaving pepper flakes on the table, we just wanted to enjoy our dessert not hear him berate Michael & the servers who had already begun closing up. The way he spoke to his coworkers was inappropriate and unnecessary, it was also loud enough that everyone in the garden heard. His reaction was more off putting than the thing he’d taken issue with. To the new guy: It wasn’t that big of a deal and your negative response was an overreaction, it drew our attention away from our meal and on to you. We didn’t care about the pepper flakes, we do care about how servers are treated. The right thing to do would’ve been take the shakers from our table, put them away without saying anything to anyone, and that’s it.

Wonderful atmosphere in a great neighborhood. Perfect spot for a date night or intimate dinner. All the food was great but the octopus and ragu were the highlights. Spiedini was very unique but would recommend a pasta over it, not worth it at the end of the day.

Great little spot for fresh authentic Italian food! Generous portions, the staff are super friendly. Chef Sal swung by to check in on us after the meal. Fantastic experience :) The Eggplant Parmesan was beyond delicious, the best I've ever eaten anywhere! Pastas were cooked perfectly, the orecchiette with pork melted in my mouth and was bursting with flavor. The Tiramisu was divine! Elegant, excellent texture and left me wanting more. Highly recommend this amazing joint! Get the Table Wine when you go.

Recommend reservations at least 1-2 weeks ahead of time. We got seated by the bar which had its perks and great service, but would love to see the backyard patio next time. Fast paced but still cozy. Absolutely must not miss the Ricotta crostini with truffle honey and rosemary and hazelnut was yum. The truffle oil and rosemary takes it over the edge. One large piece made a good size appetizer for 2. Then I also had the spaghetti pomodoro, basic but executed well and still tasty. You can taste the love in the marinara. Also got the cavatelli with zucchini which was also decent but it was very plain. Tasted like butter pasta and fried zucchini. Small cocktail menu but done well, got the gin and orange? drink which was so smooth and paired well with everything else. Affogato was pretty good, esp the cappuccino but I’d probably get the tiramisu instead next time

Very delicious italian food, I respect the simplicity of the dishes, the house wine, and its ability to blow you away. Ive been to Naples many times but this place comes close or sometimes exceeds the food I’ve tried in Southern Italy. Servers are accommodating and the atmosphere is cozy and lovely.

One of the best pasta spots in NYC. Fussili Grosso and the Orecchiette are to die for, and the tiramisu was so light! Definitely get the focaccia and burrata, it's a deconstructed pizza and it just works. A must visit if you're looking for a memorable meal!

Overall rating: 4.7 I just happened upon this place when I was in the neighborhood waiting to meet up with a friend. I had only a beer at the bar. But during that small amount of time, the hostess, bartender and staff were so friendly! It was much needed because I was having a rough day. I definitely want to come back and try the pasta if I’m ever in the area. Recommend giving it a try.

Finally got to come here and am so happy - it did not disappoint!! Came here for Sunday brunch with the family and everything was 10/10. Service was outstanding. Got to sit in their heated backyard (it was in the teens and was warm and comfortable to take our coats off!) which was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Unfortunately I only got one picture of my main, but as a group we ordered the ricotta crostini, crispy brussel sprouts, cacio e Pepe arancini, and Caesar salad to start. Everything was fantastic!!! I wouldn’t be able to pick a favorite, but I will say the brussel sprouts were unique because they have pepperoni in them which I loved. For my main I had the mortadella, burrata, and pistachio pesto sandwich. 10/10 in taste and am already dreaming about coming back. Their pistachio pesto was perfect and loved the way the bread soaked it up. Also got to try a few bites of my partner’s ricotta pancakes. Absolutely loved - the orange zest added a wonderful touch. This is an unmissable spot in Carroll Gardens. Can’t wait to come back and try their pasta!

The real deal. I’ve been touring around Italian places lately including the nearby Ferdinando’s and this place is extraordinary. Simple dishes made extremely well. Came for brunch, got the rice balls and the spaghetti pomodoro. Ubiquitous dishes just made very fresh. The chef was there too. The pasta was firm and a little al dente, seemingly made there. The rice balls were cheesy without being heavy somehow. Would come back easily but surprised I could even get in given the press.

It was my first time and definitely not my last time to enjoy the tremendous food and all-around excellent service. Our waiter was very respectful and provided the best service. He was very patient with my son and I food allergies. Once again, thank you for the experience on New Year's Eve.

One of Best Italian food I had during my trip to New York City. This restaurant is located in Brooklyn NY. We had a reservation and we were seated in the shaded backyard. It was beautiful is spaced out and had heat. Service was really good. Please good selection of Wine. We ordered, 'Burrata', 'Spaghetti Pomodoro', 'Rigatoni Vodka' and 'Linguine with Garlic & Oil'. All dishes were delicious. Burrata is highly recommended. Food: 9 Service: 9 Ambience: 9 Price: $$$ Experience: 9

Overall a great meal and a new gem in Carroll Gardens. The food here is simple in the best way possible. The house wine was delicious and inexpensive and the service was attentive and warm. We started with the Octopus appetizer and the Tomato and Watermelon salad. The combo of potatoes, octopus and kalamata olives was perfectly salty and the octopus was tender and delicious. Both pasta dishes we ordered were cooked just al dente. The ravioli were supple and the cheese filling was great paired with the balsamic on top. Don't skip out on dessert as the homemade tiramusa was a home run. We will definitely be back!

J

Objectively 4.5 stars from someone who doesn't frequent Italian places. Very fresh ingredients but every dish just lacked that extra special thing to bring it to the next level Came in once for the egg sandwich during cafe hours. The sandwich looked like something you'd get from an airport deli but was delicious. Perfectly done eggs and delicious ham. Would get again. Arugula salad was great. No complaints. Both light and flavorful The spaghetti was ironically a bit boring and one dimensional though noodles were good. Grilled sausages felt more griddled and could be cooked longer for more flavor and texture difference. You'll have a great time and meal

This place took me by surprise. When you walk in, It looks like a tiny little restaurant. Then when you get to the back, it opens up to one big room with a retractable roof. They keep the roof open when it’s nice outside. The place has that atmosphere like you’re in Europe, From the little tables and chairs to all the lights hanging above. The from of the restaurant has outdoor seating and offers a full bar. We went to eat in the back. We started off with rice, balls, meatballs, brussels sprouts and an arugula salad. Than for dinner we shared Spaghetti Pomodoro Parmigiano Basil and a Spaghetti with shrimp. We ended with a Tiramisu desert.

Chef Sal prepares homestyle Italian food from his family recipes. Cafe Spaghetti is the place to go to if you want to enjoy authentic Italian food I enjoyed everything. For starters the rice balls being the best I have ever tasted to the fried artichoke fritters paired with a roasted garlic aioli. Ricotta Crostini made with truffle honey, hazelnut, rosemary on a Crostini was amazingly delicious. My main dish was Ricotta Agnolotti so Delicious for those who don't know Agnolotti is very similar to ravioli. The main difference between the two is that ravioli is prepared from two pieces of pasta cut into squares, while agnolotti is made from a single piece that is folded over. This was so delicious the ricotta and the pasta being so fresh. Others on my table had Spaghetti Pomodoro and Fussili Grosso which is topped woth his Nonna’s genovese ragu sauce everyone left full and impressed by the dishes. We will definitely be back because there is so much more to try and many people to bring. -Anthony Infoodwetrustny

This was my first time eating at Cafe Spaghetti, even though we missed our reservation time we were still able to get seated in about 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend reservations since the restaurant was very busy on a Friday night. Regardless of it being at capacity, from the garden seating, inside and seating in front of the restaurant, the service was warm, friendly and super efficient. Our server had great recommendations and was always there for whatever we needed. I had the penne with crab meat and the tiramisu for dessert. There are a number of items that are available that are not on the online menu and they were trying out a new mushroom pasta that night... I wish I could have tried that. My friend had the Ricotta Crostini as a starter, that was absolutely delicious. All in all a lovely meal in a new favorite.

Such a stellar experience I’m already wondering when my next trip will be. Before getting into food it has to be mentioned that the atmosphere here is half of the magic. Before we were even seated I was sold. We were so delighted to have such charismatic service all night every step from the host stand, the bar, our server (whose name I wish I recalled because he was such a blast), and even Sal and the GM, Giovanna, who stopped by our table several times to check in. The decor makes the place feel like a classier extension of your grandma’s kitchen with a sweet combination of soccer posters, scopa cards, and photos of people who feel like family. There are candles lit throughout the building lighting your way to one of the best gardens for dining in the area. We went with a group of friends, so we were all able to try a little of everything (so this won’t be brief by any means): Their drink menu had a delicious lemon ice with an amaro that was so simple but legitimately delicious Between all of us a number of different wines were had. Our server had great tips to help us narrow things down, and offered us a taste of anything we were trying. The ricotta crostini was one of my favorite things all night- a little sweet, the bread was delicious on its own, so delicious. The spiedini was unlike anything I’ve tried before- it’s like someone took grilled cheese and tomato soup and arranged it all in advance for you to eat with a fork The calamari was exactly what you expect from a good one The burrata antipasti plate had generous servings of everything and the cherry tomatoes alone deserve some love for being so tasty The rice balls were creamy and delicious, I could have eaten 100 The spaghetti pomodoro was another menu highlight- the balance between savory and bright is not one I’ve tasted before, such a classic dish was really clearly fine-tuned The cavatelli with butternut squash was my favorite dish of the night- the sauce was perfectly creamy and flavorful, it was sweet and onion-y in all the right ways The branzino was perfectly crispy and fleshy and the butter beans were perfect to complement By this point we were in pain considering the amount of food, but we had to try the tiramisu, which apparently Sal’s dad comes in to make daily. It was definitely the right decision- I have never had tiramisu like it before. Super creamy and fluffy, almost marshmallow-like, it was really brilliant. I left feeling full and warm and totally delighted. Huge fan, can’t wait to go back.

In an era where dining can feel performative or fleeting, Cafe Spaghetti stands as a sturdy, butter-rich counter-argument. It provides an authentic, unpretentious answer to a fundamental human question: What is the highest good of comfort food? The answer is served nightly at 126 Union Street.

The service and staff were excellent from when we walked in and even helped us celebrate a birthday. Small intimate setting inside for 2 person tables, an outside dining setup in front that is nicer than your normal sidewalk dining setup. In the back there is a massive outside area that’s covered so that even if weather is bad you can enjoy being outside. The cacio e Pepe rice balls were recommended and were ok, but we loved the Brussels sprouts, the vodka rigatoni, and the chicken milanese sandwich (massive). Can’t wait to come back.

I have been to cafe spaghetti so many times I’ve actually lost count and in the past year or so I’ve seen it transform into what almost feels like a fine dining experience. The staff is consistent, personable and caring. The food is damn good - get the rice balls, the meatballs, the crispy brussels, the caesar salad, the spaghetti pomodoro, the fusilli alla bolognese, the eggplant parm, the chicken milanese - these are some of the many things I recommend to friends and family. They are also known for their tiramisu and the cannoli desert which I cannot recommend enough. The bartenders are so talented and willing to experiment or down to make you delicious classics. This crew really goes above and beyond and every visit leaves me more and more charmed.

Service was 10/10 and so was the food!! Me and my bf both agreed they had the best chicken parm we’ve ever had. Ricotta toast and the rice balls we’re also very good. Our waitress helped me pick out a wine and taste it before I commited. I will definitely be back

I had my birthday party here. Dinner for 15 with a prix fixe menu, absolutely worth it. The food and service were phenomenal. We sat in the covered patio in the dead of winter and it was perfectly warm and cozy. They kept our wine glasses filled and brought out courses quickly. Zero complaints, would host another group dinner here any day. Get the ricotta toast and rigatoni, our entire party declared they were life changing!!!

This place really lived up to the hype - all the food was fantastic esp the ricotta crostina, meatballs, rigatoni, and the rice balls, but everything was above average. Additionally service was great, and very lively fun atmosphere, plus it was really warm given how cold its been recently. All and all i think its a great place to take a group of 8 or more for reasonably priced italian food that has above average taste. I will definitely be back.

Food was flavorful and fresh! Really enjoyed the squash ricotta gnocchi, rigatoni vodka, brussel sprouts, ricotta crostini. The tiramisu was an A- (very good and would order again but not the best ever). The restaurant has an enclosed heated space in the back which is very warm and comfortable in the winter (and decorated beautifully with holiday lights and a tree). They have high chairs available and are very patient and friendly toward children. Would absolutely return!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here...best decision we made, and honestly, the most important in our opinion. We wanted to be comfortable, stay local, and share an outstanding meal with our guests. The CS team was warm and attentive from the minute we met with Gio in 2025, until the day after the 2026 wedding, when we picked up reception materials with Juan. Go get yourself some pasta and wine asap!!! These guys are truly the best.

We just had a beautiful party at Cafe Spaghetti. It was a 70th birthday with about 75 guests. Giovanna was so helpful, normal, kind, can-do and easy going. I got the sense that they have done this a lot before and nothing, I mean nothing was stressful. I brought some flowers for the small vases that they supply. The tables were arranged beautifully, it was a very rainy night and they made a big effort to keep the stairs dry so everyone was safe. They had a great playlist. The staff could not have been nicer or more pleasant. The food there is great, our guests keep raving about the dishes. Quantities were plentiful. I made cookies that they served in individual bowls with gelato. It was just a very warm and relaxed and natural party. If that is something you are looking for you will not be disappointed. Highly highly recommend Cafe Spaghetti for an event.

Truly excellent Italian fare! Enjoy the fine restaurant if you happen to be in Brooklyn! I shared a wonderful dinner with my son and sampled several of their specials... all were fresh, flavorful and tasty. We will return for another meal.

The service was top notch, absolutely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. They have a retractable roof and sting lights that curate a very cute, fun and friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the Brussel sprouts, spaghetti and the tiramisu. The drinks were also great.

I'd had this place on my list for a long time and finally got the chance to visit! I was not disappointed. We were seated on the outdoor terrace (which was pretty loud and cold, because of the AC). Volume aside, the food was amazing! Standouts: the tiramisu and corn pasta. A great neighbourhood spot, though a little pricey!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Cafe Spaghetti and it exceeded our incredibly lofty expectations. We selected here after having a wonderful dinner, so we knew how good the food and service were. They still managed to absolutely blow us away with the level of service and quality of food. The meatballs, eggplant parm, and rigatoni were especially big standouts. We can't recommend having a rehearsal dinner (or even just a meal) highly enough

This place is incredible. We had recently come back from a trip to Italy and didn’t think we’d ever eat the kind of food we got there. Cafe Spaghetti blew us away. It gives the quality and authenticity of true Italian in a cozy Brooklyn location. Highly recommend for a date night and to wow guests from out of town. The staff are also extremely kind. We waited only a little bit of extra time for our reservation (only about 5 minutes), but because of that, we were gifted with a very generous slice of tiramisu. Thank you Cafe Spaghetti for the heart you put into your food and service!

Cafe Spaghetti on Carroll Street is an absolute gem. The food is amazing—top-notch in every way. The service is warm and attentive, making the cozy atmosphere even better. It truly felt like I was at my grandma’s house, with that comforting, homey vibe that’s hard to find. This is a place I’ll never forget, and I’ll definitely be back again and again!

Celebrated a birthday dinner here. Food was great. Atmosphere was excellent. We were seated in the back patio area, which was cooler than indoors, so you may still need your jacket. And all the staff were very friendly. Staff overheard me wish Happy Birthday and went ahead on their own with a candle and wishing Happy Birthday, too, when we ordered dessert.

Service, food, cocktails and decorations are amazing! This gem of a restaurant is packed with flavor and everyone that works there was wonderful. As soon as we walked in the staff helped us find a spot for 2 in the patio, we had reservations but for the bar, fortunately enough, the hostess hooked us up! We had a wonderful experience, the server was really knowledgeable of the menu, the Amari and digestive list was great. We started with a tomatoe-pesto clarified cocktail and a Punt e Mes tonic while having olives, burrata and spiedini. Sunny and wonderful day, the whole patio was filled with families smiling, friends having a great time drinking cocktails and kids playing with an Italian scooter that’s part of the patio decor. The restroom is a tribute to Maradona in his Napoli days, from pics to Napoli scarf and pics from the old days, you can tell the attention to details they have in this restaurant. We had the Fussili grosso genovese ragu, this was unforgettable in the beat possible way! and finish with a tiramisú and a cold Braulio. Definitely coming back to have more Pasta-Amari indulgence!

The best Italian I’ve eaten recently. Upon entering, the chef greets guests warmly and the staff are all very friendly. The dining room is very small but they have a lovely outdoor seating area in front. The restaurant also has a cozy backyard with colorful table umbrellas, perfect for sunny days. Reservation are difficulty make because of the popularity but definitely worth the trouble. I was able to eat most of the items on the menu over two days. I enjoyed every bite from antipasti to dessert including the espresso. All of the dishes were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Definitely worthy of a return visit.

We had a large party and this prefix menu did not have enough appetizers for the party. The service was disappointing. Had to wait and look for our waitress multiple times. The food was good

4.4/5 We enjoyed the negroni, meatballs, arugula fennel salad, spaghetti alla vongole and eggplant parm (traditionally prepared sans pasta). The tiramisu was also very good! Pictured is the orchiette which was good, but i’d maybe go for something else next time. Outdoor seating was comfortable - but different vibe than the indoor / street appeal. Louder and not as quaint. Service was okay, we had to track down waiters for any request. I’d still return for the good food!

Grabbed two spots at the bar during prime weekend dinner hour. The bartender was super friendly and welcoming and shared some wine recs to us. We shared a crostini, Caesar salad, steak & potatoes, and the orecchiette with broccoli rabe & sausage. Everything was on point and came quickly. Great “neighborhood spot” addition to the area with many similar Italian neighborhood spots in 10 minute walking distance.

Everything was nice, I would recommend the pasta it was great and the tiramisu! The rest like cocktail, meatballs, salad and steak are average. Service was good and the patio a little bit noisy! I would still recommend it for a chill night :)

Cafe Spaghetti is a cute Italian restaurant with great service and decor, though the food was a bit less memorable in comparison. The ragu pasta and ricotta crostini were proper highlights, but the rest of the dishes were just fine.

Adorable spot on one of my favorite little streets. Food was yum but not particularly noteworthy or unique. Just a great local spot to have an easy dinner at in a cute setting. Our waiter was fab! Forget his name…

Cute spot. Food came out quick and piping hot. We got the eggplant parm and the corn ragu pasta. The entrees were good but a little heavy.

I came here on a Friday night, around 6:45. I had read AMAZING things and couldn’t wait to try. We ordered the rice balls, Caesar salad, fusilli ragú and the orecchiette, everything was delicious. I would have gotten more of the rice balls if I still had room, it was like an “adult grilled cheese.” I deducted a star because my friend and I were a little put off by the ambiance. We booked an outdoor back patio table because it looked absolutely beautiful in the pictures, unfortunately our experience not quite as expected. They have an old Vespa outside for decor, and somehow this Vespa morphed into a child playground. The entire 2 hours we were there no less than 7 children were climbing on the Vespa, screaming, jumping off it and running around our table. I understand parents also need a night out and I’m not anti child in public, but if I had known, I would have given up the patio view and booked an indoor table. It was too crowded to try and ask management to move, but I definitely felt extremely distracted, as did my friend.

Super popular local restaurant in Carroll Gardens. I went early and it was a very family/stroller crowd with lots of birthday celebrations. Staff is terrific and they have an amazing wine selection. If I were not coming here to meet friends in the neighborhood, I probably would not trek out to eat here but if I'm coming to this area, this would be a top choice for me.

I find the name a bit ridiculous and because of it I walked in expecting it to be really bad. I guess you can’t judge a book by its cover. The food is delicious, maybe more towards the smaller portion size. The arancini is a must (which I didn’t get a picture of because I wolfed it down the moment the waiter put it down on the table). But where this place really shines is their wine list, it’s extensive enough but not overwhelming, has a great range for all tastes, and the staff is very knowledgeable of each option. Be prepared to spend some $$$.

The pasta noodles themselves were the shining star at @cafespaghetti in my opinion. The chewy texture was obviously handmade and just stood out so much. Loved it! The food was delicious in a down to earth style. Felt like a restaurant that you would find in Italy. People were super nice and friendly as well!

I had a horrible commute here since I was coming on the weekend from Manhattan. Combination of trains / buses was not pleasant. The food was great, but I did think that it is a bit overrated especially as we were leaving the crowd became super packed. We started with the rice balls cacio e Pepe, which was good. I wasn’t a fan of the spiedini. The bread was soggy and lacked texture or great flavor. The cheese was underwhelming as well and didn’t contribute well to the texture. For pasta, we got the fusili, vongole and penne. I think the best one was the penne with Maine crab. Very flavorful and with a kick, just the right creaminess. Didn’t make it to dessert but unlikely to come back to this neighborhood since it’s quite a trek for me. For drink, the spaghetti spritz was a nice twist.

Very cute neighborhood restaurant! The food is good, some dishes better than others but solid overall. The ricotta crostini was delightful. Attentive service & cute backyard.

Like all good spiedini, Cafe Spaghetti’s get better as they get soggier and are at their peak when they have turned almost completely into mush. This is one reason you almost never see spiedini in a New York restaurant that hasn’t been around for at least 50 or 60 years.

A lovely Italian trattoria with an enormous enclosed back garden. Delicious pastas and good house wines at reasonable prices. It's not ground breaking but the food is well prepared and presented. All the service is top tier from the host to the waiters to the bussing staff. Recommended if you're in the area.

This was a charming spot serving very well executed Italian comfort food. Service was great and food solid. We started with an order of clams and peppers with mozzarella - both decent but the star of the show were the pastas - the orecchiette and the fusilli bolognese. The bolognase especially is a must. Finished with the tiramisu which was excellent and a nice connolo. Definitely nice date night spot.

Cafe Spaghetti sits on the other side of the BQE, in the Columbia Street Waterfront District, and it’s absolutely worth the trip. Chef Sal Lamboglia puts out excellent dishes — you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. But if you’re only going once, the eggplant parmigiana and the tiramisu are absolute must-tries. A charming neighborhood gem with standout Italian comfort classics.

Everything we tried was good. The baked clams weren’t that chewy and came with bread so that was nice cus the bread and sauce are always so good. Everything is slightly salty but good. My sister got this pasta with crab meat and there was a good amount of crab meat. The orecchiette had really good flavor but tasted slightly overcooked. The gnocchi was mid. Would get the crab pasta again cus it tasted better as I continued to eat it. Brussel sprouts were good and the crostini was good and had lots of hazelnuts ;) would get the salad again. Service was okay. They’d like you to place your whole order instead of breaking it into parts. We placed our apps in first and then someone came and asked us what we’d like and then clarified their preference. Family friendly. Lots of kids when we went and was a little loud but service was great with kids. Someone dropped their cup of water and they were really accommodating and kind.

The staff is very friendly and helpful but the good is basic and expensive. I ordered the chicken Milanese which was basically a deep fried flat chicken cutlet that lacked flavor with some arugula on top for just under $30.

Atmosphere in back patio is excellent. Food is good but nothing exceptional. Pasta will hit the spot if you’re craving simple yet creative Italian. I had one major gripe though: It is a huge pet peeve of mine when a restaurant insists you order your entire meal upfront. Diners should set the pace, and the kitchen should be able to handle that. This is especially true of an Italian restaurant. Eating in Italy (or any southern European country) is about leisure. You can’t possibly expect to channel that vibe with forced pacing. I strongly urge you to reconsider this policy. No one wants to hear that it’s easier for the kitchen. That’s not the customer’s problem, and I’ve seen fully open kitchens handle it just fine. Your job is to create an experience.

Although not a far drive from where I live, would I come back? Maybe yes maybe no. If I lived a block or two away perhaps I would come back many times. I wanted to love the place it's charming. However I thought the two pasta dishes we had were a bit underwhelming. Could have used a bit more salt and pepper. If it's not far away from you then walk over. If it's not then I don't really know if I can say it's worth the trip. Maybe it is.

Came for brunch. Food was fantastic 10/10 Service was terrible. 1/10 Saw our waitress maybe 3 times total. She never came to check on us or ask how the food was. I had to get up to order a spritz at the bar because she was taking too long. Then I got up to ask for the check because again she was again taking too long. Didn’t want to leave her 20% but the card reader defaulted to 20/25/30% and I just wanted to leave at that point. So she got her 20% for bad service.

Cafe Spaghetti has a nice ambiance — cozy and inviting — but the portions are tiny. I ordered the gnocchi, meatballs, and watermelon salad. Out of everything, the watermelon salad was my favorite — fresh and flavorful. The Paloma was excellent (though I might be biased because I love a good Paloma), but when it came to the pasta, I left underwhelmed. I’ve had incredible Italian pasta in Rome, so my standards are high — and this just didn’t compare. Another surprise: they don’t provide bread or butter, which felt odd for an Italian restaurant. All I can say is, I’ve never been served such small portions before! I went for my friend’s birthday since she picked the place, and while I enjoyed the atmosphere, I don’t think I’d rush back for the food alone.

I sat inside, cute vibe, but too packed and extremely loud. The crostini with ricotta and nuts was really good, I loved the crunch. The penne with lump crab was disappointing, because it had too little crab, so it was rather bland pasta, and a price tag that begged for way more. The staff was friendly and attentive. Perhaps I ordered wrong, so I might come back and order something else.

The service was good!!!! The hostess was nice and the waitresses were very attentive. I had the garlic twists which was fresh and hot. And the tiramisu was really good and greatly portioned. The only downside to me was for the price of the casarecce( crab pasta) , it felt a little underwhelming. Not really up there in terms of seasoning and flavor as well. .

We had high expectations and found ourselves a bit disappointed by the food. the burrata appetizer just ok, the linguini with clams in white sauce dry, few clams, disappointing, overall ok.

update: unfortunately I have to update this review. the drink menu no longer has prices on the cocktails. we sat at the bar after a 10 minute delay on our reservation, and the bartender was clearly new and nervous. him and the more tenured bar tender continuously got drunk trying different cocktails, and the tenured bartender recommended his spin on a negroni. we were in for a surprise when it turned out to be a 19$ cocktail for a 12$ cocktail. overall it was a disappointing night and isn’t the cafe spaghetti from the summer. so good. so so so good. there’s already so many great places in the neighborhood and this is a top tier contender for best around.

Came here once while it wasn’t busy and it was really good. Decided to come again for dinner on a Saturday night (it was busy) and it was very disappointing. We had to ask for bread over 3 times to 3 different people , once we got it the bread was stale. We got the chicken Milanese and it was cold , the layer of breading was so thick, that was all you could taste. Thought I was eating fish at one point because they must have fried in the same oil. Very sad seems like they can nit handle the volume.

Soft pasta, uncomfortable furniture, sneaky up charges. $45 (or more at $5 per person) just to SLICE the cake that you asked to bring and paid for yourself. They will not serve your cake or bring it out for you (even though my bill was $1440 for dinner for 9ppl and was supposed to be 720! WILL NEVER GO BACK OR RECOMMEND. The main issue was, the "family style" portions are skimpy (see family style dish of pastas below) so we ordered few additional plates but nothing extravagant...An additional $700??? They serve low quality food not worth the cash AT ALL, and they up-charge for everything. They tacked on $15 to swap the second dish for steak when we were told it was $10... but I guess they decided an additional $5 would help their pockets out... that's actually robbery! Also, how can you claim "family style" but give 1 choice for the main ??? Family style means multiple people dining, should be a minimum of 2 choices. Very disappointed with the food. For a place called "Café spaghetti" I expected excellent pasta. The spaghetti was mushy, very small portions, for what was supposed to be family style. We did the preset menu however there was barely enough food for everyone at the table so we had to order additional plates which turned our $70 per person "family style" into $170 per person...more than double, what a ripoff! I know food and the restaurant industry very well, this place was the biggest disappointment! In addition to the food, The atmosphere was subpar, sitting on wicker chairs on concrete with metal/steel wobbly backyard tables in a man made enclosure was an uncomfortable experience and don't even ask about the bathroom situation.

We were looking to make a reservation to celebrate our marriage earlier this year with my parents who were coming into town. One is disabled and in a wheelchair, so attempting to walk in or wait for a table is not an option. I attempted to make a reservation online and was notified that reservations are released 2 weeks in advance at 10a. No problem. I set a calendar reminder for 2 weeks to the date we wanted. I attempt for a second time to make a reservation and now I'm told from the online platform that there are no tables of 4 available for a Saturday evening. Thinking I might be a day early I tried again the next day and received the same message. Now how is it possible that immediately at 10am, 2 weeks in advance, there are no tables available? Unless bots or someone else are immediately booking out the restaurant. Next I tried emailing Maria @ CS. Never heard back. So apparently it's virtually impossible to make a reservation and no one at this restaurant cares to assist.
