BBQ was wonderful. No complaints at all. I've had my fair share of BBQ across the states and this place holds its own. Sides were also delicious. Potato salad, cornbread, Mac and cheese, yams, all good. Brisket, chef's kiss. Ribs, chef's kiss. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very laid back. Will definitely be returning for my bbq fix.
Mable’s knows what it’s up to. The bbq is done properly with real care. We had link sausage, brisket and ribs and they were all insanely delicious. The sides were also amazing-really enjoyed the Mac & cheese. Lucas was such a great host and made the whole visit so fun- great food and great atmosphere
The service here is great. Thank you Hope for patiently answering my questions and for the awesome service. The Brisket is moist and 😋 specially with that wonderful BBQ sauce. The prices are fair. It's a great space both indoors and outdoors with decor that feels like you might be in the midwest plus some good country music plays in the background.
Stopped in here one weekday evening with some friends. This place has been on my list of bbq places to stop in and finally was in the area to try. Highly recommend the deluxe platter to try different meats and sides and is great to share with a group of 3-4 friends. We tried to ribs, brisket, and pulled pork and our 3 sides were Mac n cheese, cornbread, and potato salad. Star of the meats was def the ribs. Tender enough to easily come off the bone without losing texture. All of them had solid smoky flavor and the bbq sauce was great but not necessary. Brisket (fatty part) was good but slightly more dry than I care for, but still good. Pulled pork was 3rd but about on equal standing with the brisket. Just wish there was more of it! Sides were all really good! A few extras they give you are some slaw, pickles, and pickled veggies. Def would come again with some friends if I’m ever in bk
Got recommended this place and did not disappoint! It was a perfect ending after the sauna from the Bathhouse next door Got the brisket and St Louis Ribs platter. Moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of sides and portions. Their peanut butter pie is very decent too. Just go already! :)
Do your taste buds a favor and visit this smokehouse BBQ spot. It was a mouth watering experience. My fav was the Chopped Beef Brisket and the Mint Lemonade. This place is great! The atmosphere was cool, and the BBQ aroma was even better. I chose to sit inside just so I can smell my food being prepared. Kinda like at grandmas house.
Mable’s is great. Been coming for years for the food, the sauce, the drinks and the atmosphere. Lucas made our family dinner extra special tonight. Be back again soon!
Meat me at @mables_smokehouse Stopped by this delicious smokehouse for a @grabbdapp collab last night! We got to try all their fan favorites from the barbecue chicken wings, ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese, collard greens, baked beans, peanut butter pie, and cocktails like the love your neighbor! If you’re a barbecue fan living in NYC, this place definitely needs to be on your list! nov '21
I was there to meet a childhood friend from almost 30 years ago, and was welcomed by the bartender Lebron. Cool environment, great company with Lebron, and the food was just what I wanted - half rack of ribs and some collard greens. Definitely recommend and will be returning when I'm back in town. Cheers!
Vanessa was absolutely amazing! From the moment she greeted us, she was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. She anticipated our needs without us even asking and brought such a genuine, friendly energy to the table. It’s rare to find a waitress who makes the whole dining experience this enjoyable — Vanessa truly went above and beyond!
Came here with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and got a table easily. I was surprised it wasn't packed, because the food was amazing. The brisket and pulled pork were juicy with a nice amount of fat. There are many bbq places in NY that serves dry and lean meat which I hate! I was jumping with joy after taking my first bite here. The pork ribs, however, was my favorite out of the three. Mac n cheese was surprisingly good despite the look. Corn bread was okay. Get the 3 meat combo and share it with a friend. It was a good deal in my opinion.
The food was absolutely amazing!!! Big shoutout to Lucas for taking care of us and making sure every need was met! Between the service and the food I don’t know which was better! Would come back any day!!
Lucas was our server and he was the MAN. If he’ll be as good of a father as he was a server, that kid will be revolutionary
The staff here is hilarious, attentive and physically gorgeous. They made my roommate’s birthday one of my favorite nights i have ever spent in new york. as a mother of five, it has been years since i felt like i could relax and have someone serve ME for once. Mable’s delivered BIG TIME!!! and the food was delicious especially the sweet potatoes.
I went there for their AYCE wings on Thursday and had the absolute BEST time! Absolutely love the ambience and location. Great spot to be social with friends and community; the perfect mix of lively but still a nice chill atmosphere. My absolute favorite thing though, was definitely the service. Our servers Jamm and Lucas were bona fide rockstars and were incredibly kind and attentive. I guzzle water like a fish so it was always nice to have a full cup, especially with those wings! This is the kind of place where you can go to and everybody knows your name, which I think we all realize just how rare and special that is now a days, especially in a place like Williamsburg. 10/10, can’t wait to go back for AYCE Ribs on Wednesday!
Excellent smokehouse in Williamsburg. Lucas, our waiter treated us like kings! Superb food and even better service!
We hosted our welcome dinner at Mabel’s the night before our wedding, and it was everything we hoped for. It’s one of our favorite local spots, and it was such a treat to share it with our guests. Our out-of-town family (from Texas and the Carolinas!) couldn’t believe how good the BBQ was. The staff were amazing—super patient when we had a last-minute guest count change, and totally on top of service during dinner. Everything was easy to coordinate, pricing and tipping were transparent, and the vibe was exactly what we wanted: relaxed, cozy, and delicious.
Smells great as soon as you walk in! Opted for the rib platter and a side of brisket - wished we’d got the brisket as it was top notch delicious and melted in the mouth. Ribs were also good but that brisket was the winner on the day. Sides wise, we went for Mac and cheese and bbq baked beans. The beans were very tasty. Mac and cheese just okay. Server was so friendly and funny! She was learning about beer so had a good chat about the beers on tap. Suggested we try the key lime pie and it was indeed very tasty.
Jamm is an excellent person. Her energy alone made me want to come again. Food was excellent and service was a 10/10. Sunday crew rocked
My husband wanted authentic brisket on our first trip to NYC from Trinidad, and Mabel's came highly recommended. I'm so glad we visited. The portion sizes were huge, prices affordable and the drinks were strong! I recommend the Old Fashioned Iced Tea. We had the brisket nachos, kielbasa sausage, brisket sandwich, Mac and cheese and cornbread which were all so delicious. We had enough food left over for another 2 meals :) The atmosphere was whimsical. Would visit again, I really enjoyed it!
The food was as good as the pictures show. The portions are generous for the price. The service was fast and very friendly. The environment was decently busy for a rainy day. They had multiple drink options as well. The BBQ was good for everything that we ordered and it came very quickly. The food was flavorful and very moist and tasty. Nothing really bad here. Unfortunately we were too full to try the dessert.
On March 25,2024, My first time visiting this restaurant. I was in New York visiting. I ordered the two meat combo (BBQ Ribs & Chicken) with collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and I added the sweet potatoes. The atmosphere was mellow. It was trivia night. Had a few participants. It was fun. I sat at the bar watching the women’s college basketball game. The BBQ barbecue ribs was overcook. When I bit into them it fell off the bone. They were overcooked. They may have been reheated. They were very chewy; like chewing bubblegum. The drumsticks were not cook fully. The barbecue sauce was delicious and tasty. The collard greens were bland no seasoning. The macaroni and cheese was like velveeta out of the box. It was creamy, but still delicious and tasty. The sweet potatoes were unique it had walnuts in it. My drinks were very delicious. The staff, (Gisele, Karen, Alex and Jason) all was outstanding and friendly.
I took advantage of the New York City Restaurant Week that was offered for set price of $20.21. So I gave Mabel's Smokehouse & Banquet Hall a tryout on take out. Let me say, I was not disappointed in any way. Let me start by saying, the food was very good in flavor. The meal platters with meat portions and side orders were very generous. Plus they offer you some extra like pickles, coleslaw, pickled jalapenos, slice bread and extra barbecue sauce. This is a must try and it's highly recommended as well. After this pandemic is over with, I need to come back to give inside dining a try as well.
Great local BBQ spot! Came in for ribs and sat at the bar. Lucas was an awesome bartender, friendly, and very attentive our whole time! Will definitely return.
This was my second time at Mable's. A friend and I split the three meat platter special - Brisket, kielbasa, and ribs with sides of baked beans, potato salad, and Mac and cheese - everything was delicious and the service was friendly. Highly recommend. I want to come back for the happy hour or football Sunday specials.
Came here for my birthday, Jamm gave me & my friends the best night ever. Best food, amazing service, couldn’t have had a better birthday dinner 🤍
Great food. Great service. We had the platter and it was delicious. Lovely key lime pie to finish a great meal. Thanks to Lucas for a great lunch!
Best brisket ive ever had. Their platter is now my go to has a little bit of everything. The mac and cheese was nice and creamy, pulled pork nice and tender. Was recommended to come to this place and did not disappoint. Will definitely be coming back. Ms. Vanessa was really sweet and took good care of me and gave me the best recommendations!!!
*Second order through delivery: The strew with cornbread was crazy! Lots of ingredients in the strew, chunk meat, potato, and carrot. I also like the cornbread since they remained whole corns to add the texture. It was soft with chewy corns between. Smoke house salad was classic. A little bit pricy but it was worth to add meat. Sausage was juicy and tasty! *First-time order: Need more rib place like this one! Ordered through delivery, rib & brisket platter with collard green and candied yam. 🦴I highly recommend their ribs since I haven’t had any rib that is juicy for a long time. Buy they did it! Brisket was ok, above the average. It was soft and moist. And for the sides, love the 🍠candied yam! Not too sweet but enough to be even a dessert. Collard green is normal, classic.
Amazing. One of the best service, friendly and lovely. Awesome decoration, delicious food, fair price. Of course you can have more delicious smokehouses but cant find such a service and faired prices. I had the best old fashioned and the food mamma mia!!!!!!!! Go there and enjoy the life. NeXT to here you will find good beer pubs. How Lucky you are to be there… Brooklyn forever!!
Absolutely brilliant experience!! Lucas looked after us and recommendations hit perfectly!! Great food and will definitely be back
Amazing fall off the bone BBQ ribs, great space with tall ceilings and homey atmosphere, great service with warm personality from the owner and server. LOVED the all you can eat ribs which we randomly showed up for. They were perfectly seasoned and melted in the mouth. Great fun competing with my kids and we walked away full, happy, and having had a wonderful experience connecting with each other! And the peanut butter pie was da bomb!!!!
Was in the area for work and decided to stop in, so happy I did! I felt welcomed and the food was delicious. I’ll be bringing my brother with me when I’m back in Brooklyn for my salon pop up in January!
Decided on a belated birthday dinner here and everything was excellent. I’ve ordered from here in the past but have never been to the location. It’s open with bench style sitting and cute mix and match chairs. It smells AMAZING The menu is very much a la cart and everything on this menu is delicious. Since there were five of us we ordered plenty, ribs, brisket, pulled chicken, corn bread, collard greens, candied yams, Mac and cheese and some cocktails. My picky eaters loved everything.
The ribs were phenomenal, but the mac & cheese was a little lackluster. The service was amazing. We had Chase, he had multiple tables, but he stayed attentive to our needs.
It was a pleasant experience, and I can tell that this location deserves its rating. This restaurant is a very nice place with chilling atmosphere, tasty food, and friendly service, and my family and I greatly enjoyed the visit. There are some features pertaining this restaurant that I believe are worth mentioning: 1. Meat is not greasy at all and brisket is not dry. Ribs are cooked just right so they easily separate from ribs, with burnt edges - perfection 👌🏻 2. Mac and Cheese - nice and creamy, with distinct taste of cheese - doesn’t taste cheap 3. The soup like dish is ranch style beef chili and goes with cornbread, taste very beefy but also veryyy spicy 🌶️ 4. Cocktail Margarita was very good to taste, although I am not an alcohol drinker and can’t compare much but the taste was just right! 5. Cranberry juice - not too sweet and not sour - very refreshing 🧊 6. Green salad - vinegar and dressing added to the taste and made it 👌🏻 Regarding place itself, it is pretty chill, not loud at all, with air conditioning. Menu not very big but you can pick and adjust items in your meal. Our server was very friendly and provided recommendations. Very satisfied, and highly recommend for nutritious dinner 👍🏻
It's like a bbq homey restaurant and a sports bar with a huge screen where they play sports channels. Maitre D welcomes you and other staff even open the door for you. I made a reservation on a Sunday at 5pm as it's in a prime location. It has two floors but by 6pm it got pretty busy. The bottom floor has more of a modern vibe tables black/dark gray metal while the top floor has wooden chairs and tables. The staff is very kind and I suggest you ask for advice regarding portion size. We ordered a platter for two and the food came right away. I didn't even wait ten minutes and it had chicken, ribs, pulled pork and brisket. My favorite was the pulled pork. The brisket on the outside and the cheese grits were a little salty for me. The ribs were a little greasy (more than usual, I eat ribs every month so I know what to expect) It was a lot of food but with tax and tip it was around $50 per person. I honestly thinka third person could have eaten from the four meat platter and be full as we overate and had leftovers.
What a great time me and my wife had, it was my birthday, and although she was talking a little too much we had a fantastic time. Lucas is a great server and everyone in the staff was so fun and kind really improved the company of my otherwise way too talkative life partner
Delicious! Wonderful atmosphere. Came for all you can eat ribs night on Wednesday. Worth the deal. Lucas our bartender was awesome.
I really enjoyed eating at Mables Smoke House not just because of the food but also our server LeBron. He was the kindest most thoughtful young man who was patient and allowed us to ask questions about the food before ordering. Being from England this was so nice because the food was cooked differently to what we know. LeBron also made us drinks just the way we wanted them and it felt like he really earned his tip. As a business owner myself I am aware that the attitude of staff can make or break a business Mables Smoke House you are very lucky to have such a good worker who really gets customer service, I definitely recommend going to Mables as you will have a great experience with LeBron serving you. 10/10 again great customer service.
Excellent food and great customer service. Our server Chase was fantastic. He had a wonderful, warm personality and was extremely accommodating. Also, super knowledgeable about the menu. Thank you Chase!!
We made a reservation through Google for four people and were impressed as soon as we walked in. The atmosphere, menu, weekly specials, and overall vibe were great, and the smell coming from the kitchen instantly made us excited to eat. For drinks, I ordered the Spiked Cherry Limeade. The server asked what vodka I wanted and I went with Tito’s. It was really good, sweet but not too sweet, and nicely balanced with the lime. The rest of the table got the Mint Lemonade which was super refreshing and tasted just as good as it looked. We started with the smoked buffalo wings and they were excellent. You could tell they were smoked for hours because the flavor really went through the meat, and the buffalo sauce glaze was perfect. We ordered the Deluxe Platter with a full slab plus one meat for $79, which came with a full rack of ribs and brisket. The ribs were honestly some of the best I’ve had in Brooklyn. They were tender, flavorful, had a great char, and tasted amazing with the BBQ sauce. The brisket was moist, well seasoned, and more than enough for the four of us. We also added pulled chicken which was delicious. For sides we had mac and cheese, candied yams, and cornbread. I did not even realize the mac and cheese was vegan until later because it was that creamy and flavorful. Overall we were really impressed and would definitely come back. We live in South Brooklyn and it is absolutely worth dealing with traffic to get here. If you are local or even just a train or bus ride away, it is worth checking out.
Phenomenal. Best bbq around and I will definitely be back anytime I am in the area. Loved everything but the wings really stood out as exceptional. You have to try the cornbread as well. Great good, great drinks, great service. My family appreciated sinks outside the bathrooms so it was easy to wash hands; Bbq can be messy. I made a reservation but they were not busy. I hope business picks back up for them but I think it was the off season as I was there just after Christmas.
I absolutely love Mable’s Smokehouse & Banquet Hall. My family and I have been coming here for a while and it’s always such a great experience. The BBQ is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal with family. We brought my brother here for the first time this past Saturday and he loved it. Our server, Lucas, took great care of us. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The service was excellent and all of our food came out quickly, which we really appreciated since we were a hungry group. This place never disappoints. If you’re looking for amazing BBQ and great service, this is definitely the spot. We’ll definitely be back!
I've been lucky enough to eat at some very good BBQ places. Rudy's outside San Antonio, Terry Black's in Austin, and others. Mable's Smokehouse came highly recommended, and it didn't disappoint. I had the St. Louis half slab platter. The ribs were excellent. Lucas was sitting customers, it appeared he managed the joint, and he had a lot of hospitality. He was very friendly and helpful. The platter comes with two sides, I recommend the cornbread, it hit the spot. Try the key lime pie if you have any room left!
I’ve been to Mable’s a few times now and it never disappoints. The ribs and brisket are always a great choice! I recently came in with a big group and every single person’s order came out exactly right. The food was great as always, but our waiter, Corey, really made the experience. He was super attentive and kept everything moving without us ever having to wave him down. He had an incredible energy for dealing with such a large group. 10/10 recommend.
My goodness! The food! The atmosphere! The amazing dope music and vibes. I had a great time ! First of all the Sunday crew have to be the best they had excellent service and they were so nice to me and the manager Jamm was so considerate and consistent. Will be there again on a Sunday!
The most AMAZING service 👏 I was snowed in during the NYC blizzard and Jamms and the team here at Mables Smokehouse were the absolute sweetest. The best food I’ve had in the city during my trip and such a gem in Williamsburg. Definitely will come back and get the brisket and ribs. Thank you so much, this really made my NYC experience!
Solid barbecue in Brooklyn. The food was good and tasted authentic, especially the brisket and ribs. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable for New York. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere made it an easy and enjoyable visit. Not mind blowing, but definitely a place I would return to!
I love this restaurant so much. The food is amazing . The staff is even better. You want a good vibes and great ambiance with good food, come here. Shoutout to the manager on site Jamm . She is really attentive and helpful . Shoutout to Jason and Nadia best staff as well. Make sure you go visit
I’m visiting from out of town and am so happy I randomly found Mable’s. It was amazing! I had the pulled chicken sandwich, collards, and potato salad - just delicious! I love Texas BBQ and Mable’s did not disappoint. They also have Lone Star beer! My true Texans know how impossible this is to find outside of the Lone Star State and they have it! Completely made my day. Lucas is also fantastic! Very nice and took care of everything I needed. Thank you!!
10/10 I was not disappointed! The food was amazing and great portions for the price. As a Brit I would definitely recommend trying this place for smokehouse food. The staff were amazing and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and the location is easy to find from the subway. I would definitely come back again!
Long running Old school Williamsburg smokehouse with one of the best brisket and sausage in NY. All meats is deep with flavor and the sides are all to die for headlined by the Mac & Cheese. Reservation highly recommended especially evening hours. Each staff is super friendly with vibrant attitude. I can’t say enough good things about Mable’s.
Overall, it was very good and super recommend it ! The Brisket was phenomenal and the mac and cheese was also quite good…pulled pork sandwich was alright, although my buddy got the chicharron and it was delish, I wish I had ordered it instead. The only downsize is that during peak hours it might be tough to get a table to seat
We had the Delux Platter ( no picture, sorry) it was delicious. A good amount of food for 2 of us. But...the smoked wings were amazing. Full of flavor, moist and fall off the bone delicious. The pic of the wings is missing 2 wings...we already dove into them, then realized they were so good I had to take a picture
Cannot even begin to rave about Mable’s and its incredible staff!! Thank you endlessly to Jamm and co, they took care of my group of 18 SO well. We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and they flawlessly worked with me to provide a fun dessert surprise; everyone was attentive, kind and understanding. The food was incredible; every person at our table walked away content with both meal and service. Our party package included almost every single item on their menu, and it was all phenomenal. And a big shoutout to their event staff Melina, who was so patient with me as we navigated planning this birthday. We’ll 1000% be coming back!!
Walked around the area and decided to stop by — so glad I did! The vibe is laid-back and welcoming. The pulled pork was tender and full of flavor, and the ginger cocktail totally stole the show. Perfect combo of smoky, spicy, and refreshing. Great spot to unwind with good food and strong drinks. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Brooklyn and craving BBQ with character.
Pulled pork sandwich was extremely good, beef brisket was delicious and well cooked. Not completely lean, but not too fatty either. I feel like the ribs we a tad underkooked. Service was excellend and atmosphere was super chill. Decent choice of beers on the tap. Overall great experience. Did not get to try the key lime pie, but would come back for it.
Corey gave great customer service he explained the menu over and over because i kept asking. And he was very polite and respectful

I had a pulled pork sandwich with cornbread. It was delicious. Staff and atmosphere was great! Well done.
At first, I was required to order from the bar, which was a bit annoying and the bartender wasn't that friendly since he seemed to be way too busy. But once I ordered the food, although it took a while, it was damn sure worth the wait. Amazing BBQ food! I'd would ask management to retrain that bartender dude though. Still thumbs up 👍
I ordered the pork sandwich, Mac and cheese, cornbread and the brisket sandwich, along with one cranberry vodka. The sandwich was tender and buns were toasted. It came with two picked, coleslaw and more bbq sauce on the side. Service was good, they were honest about the cornbread wait time (20 minutes) and came around a few times. The check took a while to come and to be processed. Food wise, it was standard, the Mac and cheese could use seasoning and breadcrumbs but the macaroni was cooked Al dente. The coleslaw needed salt. The pickles were delicious. And the drinks were well mixed. I probably won’t back but it’s good for a try.
Pulled pork was outstanding and sausage was excellent ! Brisket was falling apart just like it should, would definitely give it an above average rating, especially for brisket outside of Texas! The “Borracho” Beans are average, a little too much tomato paste for me personally. But we’re picky about our borracho beans. BBQ was unique…. Not bad, just different. LOVED the key lime pie too, but would have really loved fresh homemade whipped cream. Tas was amazing and we will absolutely come back. A true Barbecue gem north of the Mason Dixon line. Should also mention the price point was incredible. Best in the boroughs! Way to go Mabel!
Came to this BBQ joint before a show at the close by Brooklyn Bowl. The good: - lots of unique cocktails to try, and I tried like 4 different ones, and enjoyed many of them. - Rib were excellent. - sides were also good, I got the mac and cheese and collard greens - friendly staff The not so good: - the only thing i can ding on is the brisket, a bit dry all in all, a very good BBQ joint.
Mable’s Smokehouse & Banquet Hall Layout/atmosphere *Two long communal tables surrounded by smaller tables; U-shaped bar with TV; tables on platform in back Food/drink *Brisket platter (1/2 lb) with green salad & corn bread - brisket was solid; tender but no distinct flavor; the side sauce I liked because it was less sweet than usual barbecue sauces; corn bread, salad & slaw were all solid *Lemonade - solid
Good BBQ for NY. They use a very flavorful rub for their Texas style smoking. Pulled pork was great and they got a lot of fat out when they pulled it so it was all meat- highly recommend getting some pepper-vinegar for a deep flavor. Brisket was flavorful but the fat hadn't rendered all the way down throughout. Ribs were out of this world, though. Meat fell off the bones, so flavorful and thick. Sides are all top notch as well. And the service on a quiet Monday afternoon was stellar.
Hubby took me here without letting me know. That's because he didn't know where he was going ha! That's great honey! Now we both can scramble looking for food. Finally he remembered the name of the place and he plugged in and followed wave. Mr. Wave took us here. It was pretty chilly on this day (late review) and anything with this name could probably warm us up. It was a rusty smoked place but don't underestimate such place. They'll smoke away until you reorder. We had brisket and pulled chicken with candied yams and bbq baked beans. The nerve of us to order all that. Don't worry. They sound like a lot of food but come in small portions. That candied yams were yum-yum! I liked it a lot! We also tried the chicken wings. It's not a bad place to try all the smoked dishes. I think I can try this at home but before that I need a fire extinguisher just in case. I recommend the candied yams with any types of meats that you order.
November 2023 This place is one of my most favorite BBQ places. I have been coming here for many years and their food is always delicious. My favorite menu is St. Louis Half Slab Ribs with 2 Sides, I pick collard greens and green salad. Service is very nice and friendly. The restaurant has interesting decoration, lots of space and good for big group. 2015 Nice BBQ please in Williamsburgh. I was in a mood for BBQ and found this place on the internet. The place is good for chilling out. Ribs is soft and delicious. I Recommended :)
Went on Wednesday for the all-you-can-eat ribs and wow, they were incredible—tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavor! The portions were huge and definitely worth it. We didn’t have a reservation and ended up sitting by the door on a cold day, and one of the tall servers could’ve had a better attitude. The mac and cheese tasted a bit like boxed Kraft, so that could be improved, but overall, the food was absolutely delicious and I’d definitely go back for those ribs!
The barbecue is great and so are the drinks. The portions are on the small side. We ordered the deluxe platter. Mac and cheese is soupy. The corn bread is very dry— even some butter could not rescue it. The ribs and wings were a big hit for our table, we enjoyed them very much. The chili was also really good. They have gender neutral bathrooms and family style table seating. It’s great for large dining parties.
I wasn’t sure what to expect for BBQ in Williamsburg! The beef brisket was pretty good actually. Wasn’t a big fan of the Mac and cheese. It’s laid back and has a mess hall style setup. Several long share tables with an assortment of chairs. Service is kinda slow and very chill. If you love BBQ I’d give it a shot.
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat during a break at work. They have both Heineken 0.0 and Athletic Brewing N/A which was a pleasure. Ordered the frito pie , corn bread and pulled chicken/…

Excellent bbq on a focused menu. Brisket is a star. Side salad was pleasantly dressed. Space is smaller than I expected with a mix of long, trestle tables, bar seating, and typical 2s and 4s.
The staff is friendly. I came for the lunch all you can eat ribs special. The ribs were properly cooked and tasty. I will return.

I really like Mabel’s but how do you go from Jaheim to Dolly Parton…. I’m convinced they want me to leave… and that I will do! Lucas was great by the way
Long story short - not great barbecue but could be a good option for an affordable group dinner or happy hour. They offer family style meals for groups of 10+ for $35 each. The banquet style hall is great for a gathering and they have a good variation of cocktails and beers. However the food is extremely mediocre. We got the 3 meats deluxe platter which came with three sides. The best part of meal was the ribs. The brisket and pulled pork were both dry. Like other reviewers, the sides were underwhelming.
Ambiance (4/5): The inside is rustic and reminded me of your classic BBQ joint with the wooden panel walls and string lights. The tables are long and unseparated so can seat large parties. You can see the oven and the cooks prepping the meal in the dining area. Service (3/5): Although our table was located where the heavy foot traffic was, our service was a bit lackluster. We were able to get in our order before the Happy Hour (4-7pm) was over. HH $8 beer and a shot, $8 well drinks, $50 marg pitchers, $1 off beer/wine. Luckily, another server noticed our need for help and she kindly helped us when we were waiting for the check for a while. We really messed up and didn’t realize that it was $25 for all you can eat ribs on Wednesday so instead we ordered a platter to share (3 meats & 3 sides). Ribs: The ribs were by far the best of the 3. Lots of flavor on the rub/sauce and tender but not completely fall of the bone tender. It held on but left nothing on the bone either. It didn’t need the side of sauce. Pulled Pork: While good, it needed something extra with it. Brisket: Some parts are dry while other parts were fatty. Still good. Corn Bread: Soft, not too much flavor, gritty, with small amount of whole corn kernels Mac & Cheese: looked and tasted like a layer of melted plastic, no pronounced flavor of cheese Salad: light dressing on a bed of greens, it was a nice balance to the rest of the meal Food Overall (3/5), was it the best BBQ I’ve had? Not even close. The meats are all good with the ribs being amazing. The sides all fell flat for me.
overpriced for mid bbq. have I had better? yes, but this is the only BBQ around. lady in the kitchen was vaping during her shift lol. got the frito pie and 3 meat platter: brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken with mac cheese, corn bread, and salad. brisket and pulled pork was really good! pulled chicken was too sweet. mac and cheese was decent. salad was too much dressing.. too tart I couldn't eat it unfortunately. corn bread was cold and a 4/10. FRITO PIE WAS GREAT. loved this. would order this again along with brisket and pulled pork if I were to come back.... would I come back? probably not. but it was food and we all gotta eat. so everyone should at least try it once and get at least those three items.
I was there at 4pm, so maybe it was just a bad time. But the food here was disappointing. The kielbasa sausage was a bit bland, and the plastic butter knife it came with wasn't enough to pierce the casing, so I had to use the "jab repeatedly with plastic fork" method. The barbecue sauce wasn't that good. The ribs had a lot of char but not a lot of other flavor. The mac and cheese was too dense and also bland. The coleslaw was mid. The peanut butter pie was honestly the best thing I had there, it was pretty good. And the service was very nice.
Wings were too Smokey for my taste. service was kind and quick. Went at 5pm on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty emp
Saw this place as we had a tour in the brewery next door and looked it up and reviews looked good so booked! The food was good but not excellent I’m afraid! The ribs were the yummiest definitely. …
The service was fine and the vibe was great, but we came for the food - and that didn’t really work. The baked beans were sweet and sugary, the brisket was dry, the mac-and-cheese looked and tasted like it was prefabricated and had just come out of a big jar. We had the feeling that this was the way the food was supposed to be, but it just wasn’t to our liking.
It seems nice when you walk in but was sadly disappointed. The portions were really small for the price and everything had no taste. Even the cornbread was not good. We asked for additional barbecue sauce and the waitress responded one comes with the order. If you want more you have to pay because we need to make a profit. Really is that what you need to say to the customer :(
Came on a quiet night and was sat by a friendly waiter, who promptly took our order. Soon after he came by to tell us he was leaving for the night and our table was taken over by someone else. The food came out relatively quickly. Everything was pretty good except the mac & cheese which was a real disappointment. It had the consistency of a watery store bought m&c package. The portions were also much smaller than other places especially given the price point. However the service was really disappointing. The new waitress didn't check on us. Our drinks came out more than halfway through our meal. I watched them sitting at the bar. We had no water while all other tables were brought pitchers. I had to flag her down to ask for dessert. We got a slice of the peanut butter cake and it was delicious for sure. I had to again flag down the server for the check. I never tip below 20% but this was just negligent. Regardless I begrudgingly tipped the non existent service 20 as there were no other options. Only after I paid, my partner told me to ask for the check as the price didn't add up. Another 10 minutes later, we got the check where we were charged $48 for a single slice of cake. I get it. Mistakes happen. I've worked in the food industry for a long time. What you don't do if you want to offer good service is give a half hearted sorry and still pocket the full amount of the original tip. I get it, its a $15 difference from the refund, but its the principle here that matters. Being a bad server and giving yourself a THIRTY FIVE percent tip is robbery!
The ribs and brisket were dry… which was disappointing bc we had to add extra $ to get 2 servings of brisket in the deluxe platter. The chicken wings, esp buffalo, were good. Our waitress was inattentive; we had to ask 3 times to get water despite it being a sparse Tuesday evening. Overall I had a very different experience from some of the reviews :/.

1.) it took a while for a waiter to come and seat us 2.) sat us uncomfortably close to a group of people there was no way they could’ve possibly came out of there chairs without hitting our table and they were obnoxiously loud as well 3.) the individual who sat us down walked pass us several times and didn’t acknowledge our table with any water or menus, he had walked pass serving tables there water and cutlery 4.) other workers walked passed our table as if me and my partner breaking our necks for attention clearly wasn’t enough We were excited to eat here from hearing such great reviews but the service here definitely needs work.
I rarely write negative reviews, but after my experience at Mable's I feel obligated to warn others. A group of 6 of us came in on a Thursday for the advertised $20 all-you-can-eat wing night. What followed was one of the most frustrating and frankly dishonest restaurant experiences I've had. From the moment we sat down, the service was a disaster. We were seated and completely ignored for nearly 20 minutes — no greeting, no menus, nothing. We had no idea if there were waiters or if we were supposed to order at the bar, and had to ask the table next to us just to figure out how the place worked. They told us there were waiters, so we waited. Eventually one came over and we placed our orders, all 6 of us getting the all-you-can-eat wings, plus 2 buckets of beer. We weren't there to take advantage of anyone, we were there to be good customers and spend money. The wings finally came out and honestly, they were great. No water or napkins, but we let that slide. We finished our first round of 6 wings each quickly and waited for the next order. Another 20 minutes passed. Fine, spirits were still high. The second round came out in portions of 3 this time, took another 20 minutes, and we ate those just as fast. So after being there for well over an hour, we had each eaten just 9 wings. Hungry, but still patient. Then came the real kicker, we ordered another round and were brought 3 more wings each along with the news that the kitchen was out of wings. That was it for the night. 12 wings per person and they're calling it all-you-can-eat? We were still hungry and felt completely misled by their advertised promotion. We politely asked if they could comp a round of beers or an appetizer to make it right, a completely reasonable request given the circumstances. They flatly said no. The manager came over and offered a dismissive "sorry you feel this way," then suggested we write a review or contact the owner. So here we are. To top it off, they added a 20% automatic gratuity for service that was worth maybe a fraction of that. We pushed back, and rightfully so. The cherry on top? A week later they raised the all-you-can-eat price to $25, a pretty clear admission that something wasn't right with how they were running the promotion. If you want to run a gimmick, own it and move to new jersey, we dont do that in New York. But don't advertise all-you-can-eat, run out of food, refuse to make it right, and then auto-charge your customers for the privilege. We won't be back.
