This restaurant is great. One of the few diners remaining in Brooklyn. It's not trendy or creating culinary breakthroughs, but instead, putting out tasty and reliable food. Full diner menu all day. If you want it. I'm sure they make it. Shop and eat local and tip your servers

I took my son to Oasis for an afterschool treat. He ordered thick French toast with bacon. It was a decent portion and delicious. We also got a vanilla milkshake. It was good. The complimentary bread, coleslaw, pickles and chick pea dish were great. Server was very nice. Thank you.

This is probably the nicest diner I have ever been to! Fantastic food and great service. It's great that they are so accommodating for families with toddlers too. Always have a great time every time we go out to breakfast here!

Great experience every time. I travel kinda far just to eat hear. They are not cheap but not expensive. The prices are reasonable and worth every penny. So much variety of food to choose from. Great waitresses, and hard working people there. Great customer service too. I'm not much of a social person and I'm little shy, but they always make me feel comfortable and welcomed everytime. Right now the owner is upgrading his restaurant into something more beautiful, atractive and inviting. I look forward to go back and enjoy a good meal again after they finished fixing up the place. I definitely recommend.

My wife and I received a warm welcoming from the owner and our waitress. She was friendly and attentive. The food was very good with nice sized portions. The diner is clean and bright. The bathroom was clean and nice. There is no parking lot, so you will have to find a spot on the street. We will be back.

This is the best diner I’ve ever been to in NYC, and I’ve lived here for 25 years. I’m consistently blown away by the quality of the food, the attentiveness given to patrons, the kindness of the waitstaff and managerial staff, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I’ve been here four times since I first visited last month, and will keep revisiting for the foreseeable future. The success of Oasis Diner is quite a testament to what NYC diners should be like: great service, large food portions, delicious food, and fair prices.

This is the only diner my children like! They feel so special when they go there because they are treated so well! The waitresses are amazing. The food is great and I particularly love the Chicken Souvlaki platter. It is always cooked perfectly.

After Kings Plaza Dinner Closed I searched high and low for a good dinner in the Marine Park Area. The search stopped here. Just recently they have expanded and still have a line waiting to get in at dinner time. The service is phenomenal. There is no such thing as "NO". Anything You ask is done. Anyone that lives in Mill Basin and Marine Park or anywhere near Kings Plaza in Brooklyn knows this is the Best Diner in the neighborhood. The reason is because most of the waiters and staff were formerly from Kings Plaza Diner, which was a former Diner on Avenue U that had a Zagat Survey Award. The waiters and owner is super friendly and if you come often enough they will know you and your family. The food is delicious and huge portions. Their menu is very extensive and the Quality of food has always been superb for a Diner. My family has been coming here for years. It has been newly renovated as well. My favorite spot is the air conditioned sunroom that overlooks the street with a beautiful hand painted Mural inside. It's old school with a touch of trendy. This place doesn't cut corners anywhere on service, food or quality. You will not be dissapointed. 🥰🎉🎉🎉Check them out if you're in the neighborhood.

Wow, I wasn't expecting a burger like this🤩. I had the blue cheese burger deluxe. I usually eat my fries first but I had to take a bite out of this burger. It’s a very nice restaurant. Lots of space too. My server Arturo, was very friendly and attentive as well as Peter, the manager. A nice community restaurant is definitely worth it!

Great spot esp for locals. They renovated it and it looks and feels amazing with the new decor. The service was superb and the food was on point. My chicken portobello panini was so good and flavourful. I upgraded to curly fries and it was a win with the mustard mayo sauce. Taste better than with ketchup. My friends like her steak panini. The steak quality was very good and its juicy and tender. They provide coleslaw and pickles for each table to open our appetite and I think that's how we made it to dessert.

the best diner in new york city. yes, really. it is a summertime fixture for me. if i am lucky enough to catch a ride to riis, i demand a stop here on the way home, and no one is ever mad about it. inexpensive, sat quickly, welcoming atmosphere. they give you a little plate of pickles, coleslaw, and marinated chickpeas when you arrive. who else does that?! perfect place to decompress after a long day in the sun and waves. i spend all winter fantasizing about it. look at me now, middle of january, dreaming of a lazy afternoon in one of their booths, a little sun-drunk, borderline nonverbal, chugging water and diet coke, waiting for the ecstatic moment when my chicken wrap arrives. i love you, Oasis Diner. never change.

I Love this place, it has lots of windows, good furniture, pleasant guests, the food is excellent but you should get the food as is, like for instance, the meatloaf has mushroom gravy, I once substituted beef gravy, but that had no flavor, so I went back to mushroom.The grape leaves are small, but don't have rice. Yhe salad is adequate. My Favorite dish, and I highly recommend it, is the chopped steak. It's the best I've ever had! Get it with baked potato and broccoli; you won't be sorry! In fact, this just might be the best diner in all of Brooklyn now.

The server was overwhelmed because it was really busy. We went on a Sunday morning, and it was still a good experience. The food was okay, but you could tell the cook was just trying to make sure they got the food out in a timely matter. My peppers were basically raw in my omelet.

This is 1 of my FAVORITE PLACES for breakfast. LOVE to go here when I can sneak away. The food is always hot and fresh. I would give it 5 stars but I wasn't there on the right day for their AMAZING MINI MUFFINS (they only have them on the weekend now). The mini muffins are hot and freshly baked on premises right to your table. They are the best. But the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I've been going here for over 7 years and the new decor is very vibrant and tasteful. LOVE the restroom. EXCELLENT job all around. The renovations look fantastic however we had to continuously flag down our server. The food was good. Update: Ate there again 2 weeks later and had a better experience with a different server. I had the Tropical waffle and it was delicious, all the fruit on top was ripe and sweet and the waffle was cooked perfectly.

I come here once a week with my mother to have lunch on our days off of work. I love the service especially from Marlene and Mary, they are hard working and very sweet and helpful. And the cook makes excellent food. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the way I saw the owner (the wife) interacting with staff and being rather nasty and unkind to the staff. While she should appreciate the people who keeps the business afloat being her staff and employees. I hope she fixes that attitude for the staffs sake. Other than that great place to eat.

Careers have been made, marriages ended, deals done, and crimes plotted over number three breakfast specials and ceramic mugs for generations. But the diner category is getting scarce throughout all of New York City, while the Oasis is still at the top of its game: good food, generous coffee refills, and at-hand copies of the city’s newspaper tabloids. Eggs Benedict were a winner, as was French toast made with challah bread. Eat like it’s 1971.

Good diner! Great standard options for a diner and plenty of room for large groups. We had the BLT which had so much bacon! The chicken souvlaki was good, the tsatsiki sauce is a little garlicky but tastes legit. The service was a little slow but that’s my only complaint.

I had a panini with grilled chicken, mozzarella,onions and peppers. It was delicious. One of the best experiences is the service. Love it. I come back often and bring my friends.

Always a standby for a weekend breakfast. The omelettes, pancakes, french toast are all good at this family-owned, Greek diner. The wait staff is enthusiastic and attentive and the food comes out in a timely fashion.

I would rate it a 3.5. Great customer service. Waitress was attentive. There were dinner specials that included a drink and dessert. I believe I paid 32 for chicken and shrimp scampi, I believe it was over rice. Great portion size. I had enough for lunch the next day. The down side was the flavor of the meal. It needed some work.

She took her plate back, when they brought it back they put yellow cheese in her grill chicken sandwich, which she knew they messed up and decided to bring it to her either way. Good vs bad service Good service example - Customer: I ordered medium lamp chops. The ones I received are well done and taste sour. Restaurant manager/owner: I am sorry you didn’t enjoy the lamb chops. I didn’t know that they tasted sour as this is very unusual since I always choose fresh meats. Please accept 15% off at my expense with my apologies and we hope to see you again. Bad service example - Customer: I ordered medium lamp chops. The ones I received are well done and taste sour. Restaurant manager/owner came out of the kitchen with a rack of raw meat, brought it to customer’s eye level and yelled: “listen, my friend, my meat is never sour”. Customer: you don’t have to stick the meat in my face like that Restaurant manager/owner turns around and walks away with raw lamb back to the kitchen without saying a word. Remarks: achieving good service should have been easy and straightforward. It keeps current customers happy and welcomes them to keep coming. I experienced such service from numerous restaurants and diners. Today in Oasis, at around 4:30pm, as a customer, I actually suffered this exact Bad Service Experience. To the manager/owner: please accept this one star rating as a learning lesson to improve your skills towards being a successful diner manager/owner. I hope this will provide a sense of understanding that work on self improvement is necessary along with a suggestion to seek mental guidance for anger management.

Everytime I order the order is wrong and cold. I ordered 2 cheese burgers which was over 60.00. Adjust yr prices. This is not a rich neighborhood.

Today I went to pick up food for my mom, at the entrance was a very racist white woman I think she is the owner, I wonder who she was I told her that I had ordered online, she simply corrected me, she nodded when speaking in front of everyone that I thought it was very rude and racist, I didn't make any problems, I just left and that's it. But I don't recommend this place because they only treat privileged whites well, Latinos cannot have the same treatment! I am surprised that this happens in New York these days, the food was delivered to me like this, very messy, but she was the same owner who delivered it, she is very rude. Being a restaurant owner does not give you permission to put people down.

DONT EAT HERE!!!! I ordered soft scrambled eggs and they sent me some dry brown eggs, which looked very unappetizing. When I called to complain the manager had the nerve to tell me that the business has been around for 100 years as if that’s a valid reason to make a choice to make burnt eggs. Then he had the nerve to say it probably got brown on the way over here. SORRY BUT HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE!!! Eggs can’t cook like that on the way to a delivery and it’s chilly outside. He tried to take me as a fool instead of being understanding and fixing the issue. Don’t eat here they don’t value loyal customers and they just lost me as one. I got a refund for the whole order through Uber Eats and dumped the food. I will not support a business who has people like him working for them. Too many people lack empathy and sympathy when running a business, they’re not worth a penny. If I’m spending my money here show some respect.

absolutely disgusting and terrible service. The slaw was inedible and dry i spat it out immediately. The turkey club was so dry I almost choked trying to eat it they didnt even put mayo on it the bacon was the only thing with a little flavor on it but I threw the sandwich out. The potatoe salad was dry and tasted like it had been in their fridge for 3 weeks I spat it out as well. Dont give this place any business they have no pride in what they serve. 0 stars.

I ordered a meat loaf dinner which was to include mashed potatoes and vegetables on door dash. I only received a meatloaf on a bun with a side of gravy. I spoke to a lady who stated that the order was correct, but it states on DoorDash what my order was to be. I even told her I would send to her a copy of the order. She says yes she would see the picture and she understood what I was saying although still arguing with me. She then tells me to hold on and hands up the phone on me. I know she deliberately hung up because when she thought she hung up, she didn’t then hung up again. Very disappointed! The man in the store is very polite and I hate writing this review, but this lady was very rude! I’ll never order from them again

Oasis Diner – Disappointing and Uncomfortable Experience We visited Oasis Diner on New Year’s Day 2026 and were seated quickly, likely because there were very few diners inside. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad wrap and chicken parmigiana with linguine, which was supposed to come with a side salad. About halfway through the meal, the waiter realized the salad had been forgotten and eventually brought it out. The food overall was subpar and appeared sloppily prepared. The chicken parmigiana was served with sauce simply tossed on top of pasta that clearly hadn’t been drained, leaving it watery. The chicken Caesar wrap also did not match the menu description—it was supposed to include thin red onion and Caesar dressing, neither of which was present. Unfortunately, we then found hair in the chicken parmigiana. The waiter was apologetic and offered to bring out a freshly made dish. I asked to speak with the manager, and while explaining the issue, the male manager rubbed my shoulders, which was completely inappropriate and made the situation uncomfortable. His apology felt insincere, and the waiter was far more empathetic. I asked to speak with the manager a second time to express my dissatisfaction with both the incorrect wrap and the lack of proper consideration after finding hair in the food. The only response was an offer of Caesar dressing on the side, which I declined. The manager then walked away without saying anything further. In the end, the manager took $10 off a $55 bill, which felt wholly inadequate given the poor food quality, service issues, and inappropriate behavior. Overall, this was an unsatisfactory experience from start to finish. We will not return and cannot recommend this establishment.

Pretty nice diner. Seated immediately. Service was pleasant and attentive. Whereas the coffee was always hot and flavorful, last time it was rather bland. And the two hamburgers ordered by my two daughters last time featured bad meat. We returned them and received credit for one dish. Place was redesigned several years ago. No excuse for bad meat. Cannot come here again.
