Polly's is a beloved neighborhood cafe known for its welcoming staff (especially Terrie and Tyler), delicious pastries like the cinnamon roll and everything croissant, and La Colombe coffee. The peaceful backyard is a highlight. Some find the order system slow and food quality inconsistent.

Polly’s is my favorite coffee shop in Crown Heights. The food, (my favorite is the BLT), the drinks, the atmosphere is all so so lovely. I love sitting inside, or out in the backyard, where an adorable cat sometimes comes to visit! The owner Terri makes it a point of connecting with each customer, and I truly feel like I’ve gained a friend in knowing her. Please check out this incredible gem!
The backyard is a lovely place to spend a spring or summer day. The atmosphere created by the owner and staff is really warm and it’s a great place to sit and do work or chat! One of my favorite places to bring friends and family.
A diamond in the rough. Very warm and welcoming! I’m also a sucker for good latte art, and the drinks are always beautiful and tasty. I go out of my way to go here. They have vegan options, too!
really cute cafe with a beautiful and relaxing backyard. and a fluffy, friendly cat. we had the blt which came with a delicious salad. also a pecan stick bun which was chewy and perfect. service is a bit slow but it’s because your food is being prepared lovingly and with care. i love this cafe and would only change one thing— real dishes and silverware instead of disposable. otherwise this place is perfect.
Highly recommend Polly‘s if you’re looking for a nice spot for a tasty coffee beverage , lite lunch or a snack-ito! Our barista/sandwich maker was super friendly and attentive, and served up a very tasty iced latte with oat milk. He was also the mastermind behind a very delicious vegan BLT. A great combo for a chili Saturday in Brooklyn.
Great coffee, best ice latte I’ve had in ages. Good food, cute outdoor and indoor seating and the sweetest most considerate staff. Highly recommend!!
Delightful little cafe on Classic Ave. Super kind staff! Very delicious chocolate chip cookie and also tahini chocolate chip cookie. The cold brew and drip coffee are excellent. Great spot to work or meet up with a friend — love that there is a backyard patio!
Been coming here for years, super friendly and talented baristas. Very tasty food menu and solid coffee. Amazing backyard. Also a great neighbor!
This is a great local cafe. The owner and staff are super nice. The coffee is excellent, with lots of choices of different milks, including almond, oat, and regular milk. My partner got the carrot cake and said it was some of the best he has ever had. There is both an outdoor space and indoor space, both of which are charming. Nice people. Good ambiance. Fast wifi. Excellent coffee. Highly recommend!
So happy to have Polly’s in the neighborhood! Terrie is the nicest human you’ll ever meet, and the vibes are kind and welcoming with great coffee and food. Awesome to have a spot for delicious sandwiches made to order in top of the yummy pastries.
Very cute cafe with hipster Brooklyn vibes. The barista recommended the vegan chocolate chip cookie, and it was delicious! Easily the best vegan cookie I’ve had in my life.
My favorite coffee shop in Crown/Prospect Heights, hands down! The coffee is always so flavorful and fresh and the barista’s are just so thoughtful and kind. Every time I try a new spot I always just wish I stuck with Polly’s. Highly recommend!
I LOVE Polly’s! I came for the awesome coffee and food (chocolate croissants, cherry oat scones, and pumpkin bread are just a few favorites) and stayed for the food, ambiance, and the PEOPLE. Terrie the owner is one of the warmest and nicest people ever, and every morning I hear people, along with myself, giving life updates to Terrie, who remembers it all and is so supportive and funny. The baristas are awesome and quick to serve and quick to remember you. The backyard is so nice, and there are all sorts of cool events and classes at Polly’s. The drawing class and local vendor/music market come to mind. The lovely thing about Polly’s is that you feel like you’ve walked into a place that has drawn a community of people who know they will have a cozy and bright place to eat, work, and chat, and it feels like the essence of the neighborhood. Polly’s is 10000% the best cafe in the neighborhood and my favorite ever.
My go-to morning coffee stop! Terrie and her wife have created such a great community space. Backyard is a hidden gem with lots of seating and space. In-house made pastries (cinnamon roll is my fav) and a staff behind the bar who genuinely care about what they are doing.
Sweet little café with lots of delicious treats! Polly’s has become my neighborhood go-to spot. Terrie and staff always make me feel welcomed and at home. Get the cinnamon roll!
Really cute new place in the neighborhood with a huge backyard. Their menu has lots of sandwiches, quiches and toasts, plus pastries. I ordered a sandwich they were out of the and the server was genuinely so apologetic. The goat cheese and chive quiche that I got instead is flavorful and fluffy with an amazing crust, and served with a side of greens. Also snagged a dulce de leche donut that is so light and airy and not too sweet! They’re also selling local art which I love! Welcome to the neighborhood!
I needed a space to work while waiting to pick up my children and I’m so grateful that i found this quaint cafe! I had a salad which was delicious and was able to work peacefully with soft jazz music in the background. I’ll certainly be back!
Literally my favorite place. It just opened and when I tell you it scratches my brain in the most perfect way a cute restaurant/cafe should.. it does. So cute, so atmospheric, food is literally THE BEST and drinks are very well crafted! I wanna gatekeeper my roast beef sandwich but it is the best and I can’t wait to try all their food xxx good job
I've been coming here for years. I love their back patio. It's a great spot to get work done. I just learned about cold brew Fridays. They have a featured flavor each week. Today was tiramisu. It came with a DELICIOUS tiny tiramisu that was free. Coffee and a treat for $7? Yes please! They also take blackbird pay. Their pastries are really good. I know I'll be here many more times over the summer :)
An amazing addition to the neighborhood!! The La Colombe coffee was delicious, but the pastries were extra special! Try the everything croissant with cream cheese in the middle (and get it heated) so good! There is also a spacious backyard!
What a great little cafe : I had a BLT on a ciabatta roll that was crispy salty w great tomatoes and mayo , nice ambiance , great coffee. I’d like to eat out in the backyard when the weather gets nice , as I love the neighborhood
I tried the avocado sandwich, it was amazing + great coffee! Will definitely come back
Fantastic cafe with lots of seating and a large open backyard that is very peaceful. It’s hard to find a spot that has great drinks AND worthwhile food— Polly’s has both! Their homemade Maple Rosemary syrup is an awesome addition to a latte. I come here to work most days now and love it! Great music taste as well :)
Lovely, kind staff, great drinks and food, tons of seating and a lovely backyard. Great place to work or meet with friends. So happy there’s a second location on Rogers now too - haven’t been yet but if the vibes match the Polly’s on Classon I will be a frequent visitor!
had a great time at polly’s! ordered the tyler special, an iced hibiscus tea, and also had the vegan chocolate cake - all of which were delicious! the barista tyler was super nice and attentive. the outside seating area is beautiful and i will definitely be returning any time i’m in the area :-)

I come here frequently to stop in a for a few hours, drink some coffee, and get a some work done. The staff are courteous, and drinks always come quick. The atmosphere of nice too, with a mix of people stopping in for a chat and hang, and some with laptops out or reading.

Vegan BLT and sandwiches are great and everyone is so nice! Very nice outdoor seating too when you can grab a spot. Will say that the matcha lattes don't have matcha flavor at all, as the milk overpowers the matcha--the matcha to milk ratio needs adjusting! Tried the strawberry rose matcha latte the second time I came, and it kind of reminded me of strawberry cream cheese.
Nice cozy spot with a handful of tables/ seating indoors. Power greens sandwich was pretty good, I probably could’ve used some hot sauce, and thought the avocado could’ve been slightly fresher.

Really cute! They accommodated my wheat allergy and have great portion sizes. We did wait over 30 minutes for the food, though.

Polly’s Cafe is a nice coffee shop with a pleasant atmosphere. However, the preparation time for orders is quite long, which can be frustrating. What really gets me is having to pay extra for ice in my latte. Overall, it's an okay spot, but there are some improvements needed.
A cute neighborhood joint with a great backyard and good coffee. Food is hit or miss and pretty inconsistent. I love the BLT, but I legitimately don't think I've ever had it served on the same bread--the worst being a grocery store hamburger bun and the best being a ciabatta roll, but I've had everything in between.
Love the neighborhood vibes and a great addition to classon avenue. My only gripe is that an espresso should not cost over $5. Charging $0.75 for ice is a tad petty in my opinion. I know the rents are high but it's just a shot of espresso 🤔 I should just move to Italy...
Gone a bit downhill since I moved to crown heights - coffee did not have latte art and was mediocre at best. Place also doesn’t provide mugs and uses single use cups if that’s something you care about. I asked nicely and was told we normally do it but we don’t use mugs when it’s busy. I was the only one in line
Large vintage coffee shop. Everyone on laptops kind of place. Coffee was decent nothing special can place is more for the ambiance. Customer service seemed ok.
Slightly disappointed by this place. In part because they had the front and the backdoor open and the cafe is narrow, which makes it feel like you’re sitting in a windtunnel. This makes the place feel kind of transient like an airport lounge, just too cold and windy to sit down and relax into brunch. Even with the door closed, the vibe felt a bit off. The coffee and matcha were okay but not great, milk was not frothed super well and matcha served in a take away cup for some reason — Polly’s has the potential but did not deliver, at least not this Saturday
Lovely backyard, friendly staff, decent coffee and matcha, but just wish the prepared food was better. They’re very sweet and I hope they stick around and improve the food.
good coffee. not great service and cookies aren’t amazing. go here if you want to work or ready on the back patio/in the garden with a coffee. overall, there are plenty of better spots for higher quality food and drink but i did live the atmosphere on the back patio on a 70-80 degree sunny saturday afternoon.

the coffee is good, but they are on the slow side and they REALLY need a better system to track orders. they shout out orders instead of taking names, which is not ideal when it's busy and everyone's ordering the same oat latte. i understand being busy, but the last two times i've visited i waited at least 25-30 minutes which isn't really an acceptable wait for a single coffee or a quick breakfast.
I love the idea of this place and love that it’s in the neighborhood. I also have had lovely interactions with who I think is the owner. I don’t usually leave less than glowing reviews for local businesses but I hope they see this and improve and I can update the review. They seem to run out of baked goods early in the day (even around 9am) and the portions of my favorite sandwich has decreased since I started going. I also had a bizarre incident the other morning (tell me if it’s normal and I’m over reacting) but I ordered a $13 breakfast burrito and was waiting outside for 30min for it. My kids were starting to get antsy. I asked them to wait outside while I go in to check on my burrito. This couple sitting next to us said - hey, we accidentally ordered an extra burrito - do you want it? I was starving so I said yes, and my toddler ate the other half (dropped it later). As I was eating the burrito, the person who took my order comes through the door and stops when she sees me eating a burrito. Our neighbors said - oh we gave her our extra one! The barista swiftly turns around and walks back inside with the plate. The couple were shocked and said - hey you paid for your burrito! They should’ve given that to you because it wouldn’t have mattered to them if we gave you ours or not. I was still hungry and said you’re right! Went in and asked “can I have my burrito?” The barista said they didn’t charge the other couple for their extra burrito and had already thrown the one they were going to give me out. How do they mess up and give the couple next to me a third burrito? Was that one supposed to be mine? I was still waiting half an hour until the very kind couple gave me their burrito (but it was getting cold and didn’t come with sauce or utensils for the side salad.) Why throw out a new and fresh burrito? I wasn’t out to scam the place and get extra burritos. It would’ve been nice to let me keep it for that long of a wait and less wasteful.

Quite disappointing. Got the Vegan BLT to go, but several people who ordered after us got their food first (including a vegan BLT too which was a bit strange) which makes us think they had forgotten our order. The most disappointing thing was they give a decent sized to go box but once you open it, the sandwich is absolutely tiny. $13 where it didn’t even come with lettuce in the sandwich. Just some arugula and spinach on the side. Nice little cafe though, atmosphere was great.
Comes up when searching for pet friendly breakfast options. Unfortunately they are not pet friendly any more even though they have a backyard.
This place is nice and the food is decent. But the service is HORRIBLE. I went in yesterday me and my coworker ordered drinks and were served AFTER people who came in after us. Today I ordered food for pick up, go into the store and the staff is standing around doing nothing. I went in to check the status of my food and it was not started. I’m currently at the academy across the street training, so, not far. I placed my order at 10:07am I entered the store at 10:20am and the staff was standing around not doing anything. They waited until I asked about my order to start, which is unfair and ridiculous. I understand a busy environment can sometimes make food delayed. But the staff wasn’t doing anything except standing there in their phones. There’s another location on Roger’s which is a little further BUT WAY BETTER.
I’ve always loved this cafe, the coffee, the food and the atmosphere. It used to be one of my favorite spots. But recently, one staff member made my visits very uncomfortable. There’s a barista (an Asian girl) who always treats me as if I’m unwelcomed. She always look unhappy and never makes eye contact with me, and speaks in a way that feels irritated when I have normal requests.. It’s not even just once or twice but every time I come in. At first I tried to ignore it and not take it personally. But over time it’s become really upsetting, and intentional because it has happened too many times. Well I’m just a regular customer, always polite, and I can’t understand why I’m being treated this way lol. Even the drinks she makes for me are consistently more watery than when others prepare them. I don’t feel comfortable coming here anymore, it’s sad.
