Peppinos has a great atmosphere, especially on the weekends. Pizzas, calzones, and stromboli are all made just inside across from the bar. The restaurant area is further back and was packed. After bringing some food back to our vacation home, I can see why!! The food was wonderful! Portions are huge - plenty to share. We'll definitely return and highly recommend!

This was a gem of a fine on our vacation, and we came back and ate several nights on our vacation. The food was delicious and the service was always great. The waitress told us all about visiting Woodstock which we had no idea how close we were so we were so grateful she told us. Make sure to save room for dessert because everything was so delicious. Great seating outside too on a nice day.

We love Peppino’s! Food is always decent and the portions are HUGE! When lunch rolls around the next day, we are grateful for the leftovers. 🤗 Reservations are definitely recommended for weekends as it gets very crowded. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Callicoon!

I came here for the pizza bc I only love NY style pizza and I was not disappointed. Even if it was slightly salty, I still enjoyed the generous w mozzarella cheese, the thin thin crust, and the fluffy and light but chewy dough. The crust was probably the best crust I had in ages. Almost like a hybrid filó dough thin top layer and chewy core without much density. The waitress was very sweet, gave our dog fresh water in a clean washed bowl, let our dog sit with us on the outside table which had an umbrella for sun. The salad was huge and could be shared with 2-3 people. Calamari was done just right … light and crispy with lots of homemade marinara sauce. The surrounding area is beautiful in the Catskills with lakes and farms. The town is nice and friendly. The bathroom was nicely done, clean, and spacious.

Love the charming town of Callicoon, NY! Love Peppino’s Restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Caution, large portions here! Veal chop dinner I got could feed 3 people! Great drinks (beer) reasonably priced. Bar area. Plenty of nearby street parking. Not cheap, but excellent food cost extra. Friendly and professional staff. A door opened and I noticed staff in the kitchen joking with each other, good vibes and food here! I will be back!

My family tried Peppinos and we were not disappointed. I had penne a la vodka! Delicious and super huge portion. My son had the stuffed pizza and my husband tried the margarita. Clearly we couldn't decide. The food was great. Brenda, our server, was wonderful. Best of all, we were able to sit with our pup out front. We will be back!

First time dining at Peppino's and definitely will not be the last. Myself and friend shared an order of baked clams that were excellent. I had chicken marsala that had a sauce not too heavy and not to thin just right. The chicken was pounded to a good thickness and covered with a abundance of mushrooms. My friend had broccoli and garlic over angel hair pasta which she enjoyed. She had lemongello for dessert which she said was moist and delicious. Our waiter Jake was attentive and professional. I would definitely recommend dining at Peppino's.

I ordered the chicken roll, and it was delicious. The gentlemen who worked the bar and the counter were extremely helpful and very friendly to our group of ladies. Third year running us ladies have ordered our pre concert meal from here. delish!

Stopped by on the recommendation of a friend while I was visiting the PA/NY border. We visited for dinner and didn't have pizza, but they had some great looking pizzas a nice comfortable bar area, and a decent dining area. It was easy to get a table when I went, but I was warned that during the spring through fall months, you should make sure to get a reservation.

Food is good, the atmosphere is cozy but the service needs to improve a lot. The times they take to bring an order sometimes are over an hour.

Well I’ve been going here for years however recently every time I go I’m more and more disappointed… tonight was the last straw they gave us bread that was so stale my kids wouldn’t even eat it… we ordered a pizza half with meatballs it came out and was clearly a reheated old pizza they threw some meatballs on … the service however is the best it’s been in years . It’s so sad to see the front of the house finally get it together and now the kitchen is falling short . It’s a family owned business and I hate giving a poor review and I hope they take the recent criticism to heart and work on their reputation!
