Today my wife and I decided we wanted some cheesesteak sandwiches. We didn't know where to go and so I did a quick Google search. Of the ones I found, Fred's Downtown Philly stood out as having a large menu selection and excellent reviews. We got there before the noon rush and the staff was friendly and very helpful with our questions! Our Phillies were generous and delicious! And I loved the Parmesan French fries! We'll definitely be coming back again! Update: Fred's has become our new favorite spot! Every time we come in we're warmly greeted and the Phillies are always great!

I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good cheesesteak. You have to try the egg rolls and the soda - preferably the Black Cherry soda. Staff was fast and efficient. Ordered and had my food in no time. Fresh and hot!

One of my favorite spots to go to, the people there remember you and are awesome. If it was closer I would go once a week if not more. The food is very tasty, I love the house sauce, and the Philly rolls are out of this world. Definitely a spot you have to experience at least once.

Went here for the first time then proceeded to return two more times in the same week just to try other things. Food is made to order and it seemed like there was only one cook at the time so there was a bit of a wait but it was totally worth it and made it that much more impressive. The workers were friendly and offered great service even though they were different people each time I returned. Calling in to order was also a great experience and made for a shorter wait time upon arrival. The weekly specials are an excellent deal. Looking forward to trying the variety of offerings on their menu. Great portions and quality for the price and food is piping hot when ready.

The Dr J cheesesteak was great and I will order this again. We tried the fried pickles and they were very good, fries were also top notch. Fun stop, check it out. They also offer a no cheese sandwich if lactose is a problem. The bread is super important on a sandwich and theirs does not dissapoint.

If I was only rating the cheesesteak it would get 5 stars! It was perfect, the bread was really good too. The service was great and fast. Why not 5 stars then? The fries were mediocre, the ranch was disappointing, and the ketchup seemed like it had been sitting in the container for way too long. Also, they had those bad tasting soda machine sodas instead of reliable Coke products + Dr. Pepper, and 3 of the 6 soda options weren’t working. I will definitely be going back, but will probably just stick to the cheesesteak itself without any add-ons.

Ok, so let’s get to the facts, everything was very flavorful!!! But we need to break it down! I got the Extra meat Philly Cheesesteak with onions and a side of red peppers and the regular mild sauce! My goooooooodnes! Made fresh to order more than enough in portion size, seasoned and juicy!!!! Not to cheesy but a right amount of combination of cheese onions and meat and fresh bread! I also ordered the Cajun fries they were goodness not as warm as I would have liked bit good! I don’t really eat fries but I wanted to give a fair review! I also got the spicy cheese sticks! They were good but I’m not a fan of cheese and these were a bit stiff not as creamy cheesy as I imagined. But everything great flavor!!!! I will be back to try other cheesesteaks for sure!! For all 3 cost me 22.00 as of current market price! So not bad at all! I have them 4 stars due to the sides (fries, cheese sticks) I will do an updated review when I go back. Go get your food you won’t be sorry!

Have ordered delivery here a couple times and the flavor is top notch! My only issue is the cheese fries; although delicious, the serving size is so tiny for something that costs almost $7. Definitely still going to be ordering from them, but will not be getting the fries again

Close to the real thing down south!! Amoroso rolls make the difference! Definitely recommend getting the extra meat (which is the size of your standard philly cheese steak) any other size is just small and not filling. Fries were good! Memorabilia throughout the place took me back to my days on N Broad Street. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Kids meals / food are not great. Prices are not terrible for subs, but would recommend paying for extra cheese as there is little on the normal ones.

I was really underwhelmed by what I got in the hopes it would be amazing. A 10 inch Philly Cheesesteak with Wiz cheese, & why are the portions so small? Look at the pictures. They barely put any meat on this sandwich, & hardly gave any fries as well. This is not $15 bucks worth of food. I felt like I had a bigger Philly at competitor Big Tony's, loaded with more meat, without requesting the extra meat. By default it was a lot of meat from them. Anyways, I'm not happy with this lunch. 1 star for me.
